Muchos países han promulgado recientemente leyes relacionadas con el derecho de los empleados a desconectarse del trabajo para garantizar un equilibrio entre el trabajo y la vida personal. Colombia es uno de esos países donde recientemente el Congreso aprobó un nuevo proyecto de ley que introdujo una definición legal del derecho a desconectarse para limitar la facultad de los empleadores de contactar a los empleados después del horario laboral o durante los períodos de descanso. En todo caso la nueva ley traerá algunas excepciones considerando el nivel del empleado, las responsabilidades laborales y el contexto en el que el empleador realiza el contacto y además introducirá una nueva obligación respecto a la necesidad de implementar una política interna en torno a ese tema para la generación de límites y establecer un proceso para la resolución de reclamos relacionados con violaciones al derecho de desconexión laboral.
