Ep 02 - Dr. Lori Frasier - Chief, Child Abuse Pediatrics, Penn State

In this episode of the Attention on Prevention Podcast, we sit down with Dr. Lori Frasier who, among many other titles, is Chief of Child Abuse Pediatrics at Penn State Hershey Medical Center and the current President of the Ray E. Helfer Society, an international professional society of child abuse pediatricians from around the world. We talk about the role of child abuse pediatricians within our health systems and discuss the comprehensive process taken when a potential case of abuse is presented. Dr. Frasier dissects theories posed for the defense in SBS/AHT cases and criticizes the lack of expertise in pediatrics and actual practice that many defense witnesses lack.
