André C. Drainville est professeur au département de sociologie de l’Université Laval. Il est auteur de Contesting Globalization: Space and Place in the World Economy (2004) et de A History of World Order and Resistance: The making and unmaking of global subjects (2012), Il a aussi publié deux romans: Les carnets jaunes de Valérien Francoeur, qui a crevé quelques enflés (en traduction, 2002) et Anxious Moments before the Next Big Event (2007). Il travaille présentement à l’écriture d’une histoire de la liberté en situation universitaire, intitulée More than Academic : universities and the freedom to think about the order of the world, et d’un troisième roman: Ici et là.
Martin Hébert est professeur au Département d’anthropologie de l’Université Laval et membre du Groupe de recherche sur les imaginaires politiques en Amérique latine (GRIPAL). Il mène des recherches en Mésoamérique, particulièrement sur les mouvements autonomistes autochtones. Ses travaux sur l’utopisme l’ont mené à s’intéresser aux narrations du futur dans une diversité de contextes relevant tant de mobilisations politiques que d’expériences littéraires. Son ouvrage le plus récent est un volume co-dirigé intitulé Savoirs, utopies et production des communs (2023, Éditions des archives contemporaines).
