Dr. Alex Talaber, OD, FOVDR, FAAO is board certified Neuro Optometrist and fellow of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development and the American Academy of Optometry and joins Dr. Shawna on this week's episode of the podcast to talk about neuro optometry.
Dr. Talaber shares the differences between optometry & neuro optometry, signs that working with a neuro optometrist could be beneficial for you (the quiz linked below is a great place to start!), what are "normal" eye changes with age, and what is vision therapy .
Dr. Talaber is currently treating Dr. Shawna for visual issues sustained from a car accident in 2017. Dr. Talaber treats many vision dysfunctions including: traumatic brain injury (TBI), post-stroke, double vision, and visual tracking disorders.
