In this episode of The Authorpreneur Podcast, I talk with Kyle McDowell, the author of Begin With We: 10 Principles for Building and Sustaining a Culture of Excellence.

Kyle is a former senior executive at multiple Fortune 10 firms, as well as an author, inspirational speaker, and leadership coach with nearly three decades of experience leading tens of thousands of employees at some of the biggest companies in the world. With an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, Kyle is widely known for his inspiring approaches to transforming bosses into leaders and reshaping corporate cultures.

In this episode, Kyle and I talk about the importance of taking action, the differences between being productive vs. being busy, and how books can open doors in both business and personal settings.

If you’re interested in learning about the journey to becoming a published author, using books as a catalyst for change, and how Kyle uses his book, Begin With We, as an integral part of his business, then you’re really going to enjoy this episode.

Chris Green and Kyle McDowell discuss the importance of book visibility and pricing strategies on Amazon. They mention the use of tools like KEPA and Keepa to track price history and sales rank. They also discuss the benefits of offering free Kindle promotions and using author copies to fulfill orders. They touch on the value of authenticity and relatability in audiobooks and the potential for future book projects. Kyle McDowell offers two product offerings: a high-level overview of his book with deeper discussions on how to apply the principles, and a workshop led by a PhD of adult learning that includes exercises for adult learning. They are also working on a partnership with a mobile learning company to create a library of content that goes beyond the book. The conversation also touches on the importance of different learning styles and the psychological factors that influence behavior change.
