Hello, Clarisse, welcome back orwelcome to autopsy of a crime.

(02:35):
As promised, we're back and we're going over more details
surrounding the death of CrystalMcCrory.
Jones, a death conveniently for her husband, ruled a suicide.
And although this case was ruleda suicide, it's not like any
suicide case, possibly ever. There's so many things that

(03:00):
don't add up. There's so many questions, and
yet no one in law enforcement attempted to answer them.
No one wants to answer them, notthe Sheriff's Office nor the DA
Penny dossier. Everyone involved wants to make

(03:21):
this go away. In my last episode we went over
the events of the day that Crystal was found deceased, how
quickly they rolled, her death of suicide, and some of the many
things that don't make sense, that aren't explainable, that

(03:43):
raise questions, that raise flatout suspicions.
I'm positive Crystal's story in her case is going to have many
episodes, many posts on sub stack, and likely its own
section on the autopsy of a crime.

(04:04):
Sub stack and I believe once youhear this you will certainly
understand why I so genuinely want to apply every amount of
pressure I possibly can. The officials involved are a

(04:24):
disgrace and I say that with theutmost confidence.
They should all quit their jobs because they are failures.
Failures. If you haven't listened to the
first episode, pause here, go back and listen to that, or head
over and read the post on sub stack.

(04:47):
They will all be linked on sub stack and the link to sub stack
will be in the show notes of this episode.
I'll tell y'all I am like a dog with a bone on this.
I can't drag myself away, and I am so thankful to Crystal's

(05:09):
sister Jana, who has chatted with me and provided essentially
the entire case file, which would have otherwise taken so
long to obtain via FOIA request.Jana is a remarkable woman.
As I've learned the intricacies of Crystal's case, it becomes a

(05:33):
glaring light. It's so obvious why Jana can't
let this go, refuses to let it go.
This isn't a case of a few strange circumstances.
This is a case riddled with inconsistencies.
There's no way that anyone with two brain cells to rub together

(05:58):
would look at all of these details and say, ah, yes,
definitely a suicide. Before we dive deeper, let's
briefly go over what we know so far.
What was In the previous episode, Crystal's husband
requested a welfare check when she missed a doctor's

(06:21):
appointment. He didn't go to the home himself
because he was at their karate studio which was full of kids.
Yet seemingly that isn't true. He wasn't at the karate studio
and he was able to go home once his friend and deputy Chuck

(06:41):
Harris told him that Crystal wasdeceased.
Crystal was found deceased on her bed, laying on her left side
with a pillow covering her face.A gun rested in her right hand.
The autopsy determined that the bullet entered near her right
temple, traveled through her head and exited on the left side

(07:05):
of her head. The shell casing was not located
but found nine days later by Tony Jones, Crystal's husband,
at the Funeral Home. Bruises, scratches, a missing
fingernail were all noted and photographed by Jana and Julie,

(07:25):
Crystal's sister-in-law. There's no mention of these
injuries on Crystal's autopsy. When these injuries came to
light and people had questions, when Crystal's family had
questions, let's not mistake that police asked any questions.

(07:48):
Crystal's family had questions. Tony Jones then had Crystal
cremated despite burial plans that were already made.
Despite everyone knowing Crystalwould not want to be cremated,
he had her cremated and he then proceeded to hold Crystal's
ashes hostage from her family and her children.

(08:12):
With these primary points in mind, I want to further expand
on some of these and then go over additional information that
I haven't covered yet, such as Crystal's toxicology report.
So that mysterious little shell casing that somehow no one

(08:37):
noticed, although it was just perfectly too perfectly laying
on a vanity. Comparing crime scene photos to
the photo from when the case scene was recovered 9 days
later, there's something interesting to note.

(08:57):
I have these photos up on sub stack.
They are side by side. We have one photo that is
considered crime scene photos that police took on the day that
Crystal was found and then we have another photo that is 9
days later when the shell casingwas found.

(09:18):
And please go look at these pictures.
Draw your own conclusion. Just take it in.
There is no shell casing in the initial photo of that area.
Aside from the most obvious issue, this vanity is completely

(09:39):
rearranged. The hair brush, flat iron, and
blow dryer are all in different spots.
The hair dryer is suddenly on the vanity instead of on the
stool. A once standing small bottle of
Cerave lotion is now laying down.
Nearly every item visible in thetwo photos is in a different

(10:03):
location from day one to nine days later.
Items that we can assume Tony Jones didn't use.
I'm not sure he needs a hair, a hair flat iron or a hair dryer.
Further, the photo of the shell casing has a file name of

(10:25):
screenshot 2023-O2-16 151101.jpg.
So this is a photo of a photo. There is no chain of custody for

(10:49):
the photo. There's no evidence of who took
the photo and this was acceptable to the Sheriff's
Department. Not a single question raised.
I also want to point out a portion of the report from Chief
Deputy Alan Irby. He says quote it was evident

(11:12):
when the handgun was discharged it did not chamber the next
round from the magazine. This condition is usually caused
by a quote limp wrist and quote situation where the shooter
fires the weapon with one hand and the weapon is not stable

(11:33):
enough to eject the spent casingand chamber the next round.
So the gun wasn't stable enough to eject the spent casing yet.
The casing ended up on the vanity 9 days later.
Please explain Deputy Irby, please explain further in this

(11:57):
report. There is an update added to the
report when the casing is located.
Deputy Irby says quote due to the quote jammed and quote
condition of the firearm at the time of recovery, investigators
believed the spent casing would be located by the pathologist in

(12:22):
the clothing or bed clothing of the victim, which was sent to
the pathologist with the victim. The husband, Tony Jones, was not
made aware of this. On or about 2/15/2023,
investigators learned the pathologist did not locate a

(12:45):
spent casing in the victim's clothing or the bed clothing.
On 2/16/2023 I received a phone call from Tony Jones.
Mr. Jones stated while cleaning the bedroom where his wife was
found, he had moved a makeup table and located an empty shell

(13:07):
casing that had been lodged underneath some tools his wife
used to fix her hair. I went to the residence and
recovered what appeared to be a 9mm spent shell casing that
investigators did not locate on 2/9/2023.
Deputy Irby further states that when reviewing the scene photos,

(13:32):
the one of the same photos that I've posted on Sub Stack, Of
course, again, please go look. Please do your own research.
This same photo, Deputy Irby nowsays, and this is echoed by

(13:54):
other deputies in the department, that the reflection
of the shell casing can be seen in one of the crime scene photos
and that this reflection is clearly the shell casing.

(14:20):
I've added it to sub stack. There is a yellow circle of
where they claim that this is. Perhaps I'm blind, but there's
there's no way anyone can say that that is the reflection of
the shell casing. You guys be the judge.
Go look at it. Furthermore, the photo of the

(14:46):
shell casing. Tony Jones had clearly already
moved the casing. If we are to believe that it was
lodged under hair tools, then itwas moved before it was
photographed because it is perfectly laying and not under

(15:07):
anything. Quite frankly, Deputy Irby's
report reads as officials tryingto explain away why there was no
shell casing and then Tony Jonescomes out of left field with the
casing. So they change their narrative
and their assumption to fit the fact that they now have a
casing. First the weapon wasn't stable

(15:30):
enough to discharge the spent casing.
Now it's lodged under tools and the non existent reflection is
visible in crime scene photos. If it wasn't stable enough to
discharge the spent casing, wouldn't it still be in the gun?

(15:50):
I'm not a gun specialist, but itseems reasonable.
If it's not stable enough to discharge it, wouldn't it be in
the gun? But yet they thought the
pathologist would find it in crystals, clothing, or in the
bed sheets. And Tony Jones didn't know any
of this. And then here he comes, La tida.

(16:13):
I found the shell casing. I want to be so clear and so
honest with you that this is nota red herring.
The mysterious shell casing is not a one off.
That doesn't make sense in a case that is otherwise supported
by evidence and the manner of death ruling.

(16:35):
Instead, this is a case that continuously collapses with
every claim detail, and finding why another agency has not
stepped in is beyond my comprehension.
Why Oak Grove officials are so determined to not review this is

(16:57):
suspicious. At what point are the officials
complicit if they refuse to review and correct mistakes?
It's important to point out thatCrystal and Tony's address is
located on a state highway, therefore should have been

(17:19):
investigated by Louisiana State Police.
You would think. Yet when state police contacted
W Carroll Parish Sheriff's Department, they said they
didn't need any assistance on the case.
Well, I hate to break it to them, but they need all of the
assistance because they're clearly not capable and they

(17:46):
clearly have many conflicts of interest.
Before we move on to Crystal's toxicology report, here's just
another incredible side note. The report that I've referenced
from Deputy Irby at the bottom, it is unsigned.

(18:11):
Where there should be a signature, there's simply a
blank line with his name printedbelow.
Respectfully submitted Chief Deputy Allen Irby.
It isn't giving respectful AllenIrby sign your name.

(18:35):
Now moving on to the toxicology report.
Crystal's toxicology report shows that she had various
medications in her system and caffeine what would be
considered a normal amount of caffeine consistent with maybe
having had a coffee. Crystal also had Xanax and anti

(19:01):
seizure medication and an anti depression medication in her
system. Now all of these things are
normal amounts consistent with her prescriptions.
While majority of the substancesfound in her system were normal,

(19:24):
there is one outlier there is caffeine.
Self-explanatory there is alperazolam which is Xanax, an
anti anxiety anti depression medication, Sertraline which is

(19:48):
Zoloft which is an anti depression medication, desmethyl
desmethyl sertraline which is also Zoloft there is.
Top topiramate which is topamax,an anti seizure medication and

(20:15):
then there is defenhydramine which is Benadryl.
The two findings for Zoloft is normal.
It's a it's a compound medication.

(20:35):
So the way that our bodies metabolize a medication or this
medication specifically, it would commonly result in
positive findings for both the sertraline and the DES methyl
sertraline. If a patient is prescribed
Zoloft and taking it as directed, it's very common and

(20:59):
normal to see both sertraline and DES methyl sertraline
present in their blood or their urine.
However, the defenhydramine or Benadryl is not normal.
Not that it isn't normal to takeBenadryl, but this amount is not

(21:22):
normal. In fact it's so high it falls
under toxic levels. The findings which are on sub
stack says that for the defen hydramine the result is 280NG/ML

(21:50):
and the source is heart blood. Now as I said, this amount is a
high level, and while this amount falls under toxic levels,
the amount on its own is considered toxic but not lethal.

(22:15):
When then mixed with Xanax it would cause severe drowsiness,
lower respiratory rates, and sedative effects overall.
While researching this I've I'vefound a quote about this
combination that I want to read to you.

(22:36):
It says quote falls into the toxic zone where drowsiness,
confusion, delirium, seizures, cardiac effects, or coma are
possible. It is not on its own a classic
fatal level, but it could be dangerous, especially in

(22:59):
combination with other sedativeslike alprazolam, which is the
Xanax. OK, so there's 280NG/MLS of
Benadryl and this points again to a very significant ingestion

(23:24):
well beyond a suggested dose. And for reference, a normal
level would be 30 to 100 Ng slash ML280 is extreme.
Further, the levels are still very high at the time of

(23:49):
Crystal's autopsy when blood is taken for testing, which would
mean that the Benadryl wasn't taken too long before her death.
These high levels mean that Crystal's body hadn't had time
to begin to metabolize or eliminate the drug.
So we can throw any idea that maybe she had taken it the night

(24:12):
before to help her sleep, We canthrow that right out the window.
This amount of Benadryl mixed with Xanax Crystal would have
been impaired. Significantly impaired.
Her breathing would have slowed. It's possible she would have

(24:33):
even lost consciousness. And as we know, Crystal had a
doctor's appointment. She had things to do that day.
It's not reasonable to assume she took her normal medications
and then an extreme amount of Benadryl she had began getting

(24:55):
ready her hair and make up was done.
To put it simply, I don't buy it.
I don't buy it. A normal dose of Benadryl makes
most people drowsy, and I don't believe that Crystal, a grown
woman, a smart woman, intentionally took Xanax and

(25:19):
Benadryl and intended to proceedwith her day in any normal
fashion, let alone was then lucid enough to shoot herself
through a pillow. But it just doesn't seem
possible to me. The autopsy report, however

(25:45):
reliable that is, notes the bullet quote, trajectory right
to left and almost horizontal. End Quote.
Now, to me, that sounds like it was nearly a perfect line from
one side to the other, not angled at all.

(26:10):
Are we expected to believe a woman who by this point is
severely medicated was able to do that?
Theorizing? It seems unlikely that that aim
is possible at all. With the position that Crystal

(26:31):
was in and the pillow I I'm trying to imagine this and she I
believe, would have had to lift or wrap her arm around the
pillow and have a nearly perfectly horizontal alignment

(26:52):
with her left temple. And her arm is only so long.
And how do you achieve that witha pillow in between findings?
Also listed on the autopsy report by Frank Peretti.

(27:13):
Is this guy even really a pathologist?
Like, Sir, are you even a doctor?
Because remember from yesterday the bruises found on Crystal at
the Funeral Home, he didn't notethose.
And in his findings here after the elements and things he
included about the gunshot wound, it says no other evidence

(27:40):
of trauma. I'm sorry, Sir.
What? The photos again are on Sub
stack. We have seen the scratches and
the bruising. Now do you know what else
shooting through a pillow does? It affects the sound of a gun

(28:03):
going off and gunshot residue, which I guess it doesn't matter
because the Sheriff's Departmentdidn't bother to test Crystal
nor Tony Jones for gunshot residue.
It's yet again something that makes no sense, yet, of course,
was not further investigated. Red flags are flying everywhere

(28:26):
and apparently the Oak Grove officials are blind.
Now, I don't mean to give you all whiplash, but we're going to
take a sharp left turn. I considered waiting to dive
into this, maybe in a separate post, but it's just too much and

(28:51):
I have to talk about it as if the circumstances of Crystal's
death and the things that we know so far aren't already
suspicious. At minimum, enter grown men who
seem to have a thing for little girls, creeps, pedophiles,

(29:14):
sexual deviants, whatever you would like to call them.
I've never been one to shy away from speaking her mind, and I'm
certainly not going to stop now.So this is me purely surmising,
No evidence, just a brain. If a man had a tendency to find

(29:38):
himself in inappropriate situations with underage girls
and his wife started to notice, if she then started checking in
on his location and telling friends about her suspicions,

(29:59):
that to me sounds like a hell ofa motive for murder.
To prevent your pedophilic tendencies from being exposed on
Crystal's laptop that Tony Joneswillingly gave Jana along with
the password, Crystal was loggedinto Tony Jones's Gmail account.

(30:23):
Crystal had seemingly turned on his Gmail location, thus
tracking his every move, daily maps of everywhere he went, and
Crystal had began doing this shortly before her death.
We have to wonder what would prompt a wife to do this?

(30:45):
Your mind may immediately go to an affair, and perhaps that's
the case because there are tags of times Tony Jones was at a
hotel. There are rumors of his
infidelity, but perhaps it's worse.

(31:06):
It turns out Tony Jones has a history of inappropriate
relationships with underage girls.
This information and evidence was deemed irrelevant by Sheriff
Scott Matthews with the Sheriff's Department and I'm

(31:26):
going to take this person by person to keep things in order.
This is the same order as the documents I've reviewed and the
timelines. First there was Shanna Jones.
This is the ex-wife of Tony Jones and not the mother of his

(31:50):
daughter. Shanna states that her marriage
with Tony Jones ended due to hisinappropriate relationships with
the minor females. Additionally, Shanna Jones
obtained A restraining order against Tony Jones for domestic

(32:13):
assault. Shanna recalls that while
married to Mr. Jones, he was found guilty on a charge
involving his inappropriate relationship with a minor child
by Child Protective Services, and she recalls receiving a
letter stating that Tony Jones could not be in a home with

(32:36):
underage girls. More specifically, Shanna
recalls the names of two allegedvictims of Tony Jones, both
minor girls. Shanna also expressed to Janna
her concerns about the Karate Studio and how it was a breeding

(32:57):
ground for Tony's quote, pedophile behavior.
End Quote. And then there's Pastor Lance
Nugent. He worked at the Karate studio.
Obviously he is also a pastor. In fact, he performed Crystal

(33:20):
and Tony's marriage ceremony as well as baptized them both.
Lance Nugent was also a Co instructor with Tony Jones at
their Inner Peace Martial Arts business in Oak Grove, LA.
And during his time at the karate studio he noticed Tony

(33:41):
Jones would only work with teenage girls and women.
Assisting teenage girls with stretches.
Pastor Nugent brought it to Tony's attention more than once
that it did not look right that he only quote stretched out the
teenage girls and the manner he did this was not the right way

(34:06):
to do it nor was it appropriate. After this, Tony Jones briefly
made it a point to work with boys, but then returned to his
normal creepy ways. Tony Jones also inquired on
getting involved with the churchyouth groups.
Thankfully, Pastor Nugent vets anyone who wants to be involved

(34:30):
with youth groups or kids in hischurch.
Tony Jones was no exception. While vetting Tony Jones, Pastor
Nugent found out that Tony Joneshad actually had more than one
case investigated against him involving underage girls in

(34:50):
Morehouse Parish. He even spoke to one of the
victim's father, Scott Petrus, about what happened.
Naturally, after finding out this, things eventually erupted
between Pastor Nugent and Tony Jones.
Pastor Nugent returned to work at the karate studio.

(35:13):
He observed the same pedophile tendencies from Tony Jones and
confronted him. The men were nose to nose.
Pastor Nugent told Tony Jones that he knew what he had done to
Scott Petrus's daughter. This is a quote from Jana and it

(35:35):
is in some of the documents thatshe provided me.
Quote, When I asked Mr. Nugent why he didn't report any of this
to anyone, he stated that he wasessentially in the same boat as
I was in the fact that he had nohardcore evidence against Mr.
Jones to prove anything. End Quote.

(35:56):
This man is an absolute creep. Disgusting, vomit inducing a
sicko. And remember Chuck Harris, that
friendly deputy that Tony Jones called for the welfare check?

(36:17):
Well, it turns out he too has a history of pedophilic behavior.
Because, of course, why not? Birds of a feather, right,
Charles? Chuck Harris had a sexual
relationship with an underage girl, Rebecca Berry, back in

(36:40):
1993 to 1994. During this time he was in law
enforcement already. He lived on the same St. and
would leave this girl gifts and notes in her family's mailbox.
When her parents became aware ofwhat was going on, they took it

(37:01):
to police and Chuck Harris was eventually demoted and sent to a
school crossing guard position. Yes, you heard that correctly.
He was busted having sex with anunderage girl and so they sent
him to be a crossing guard. What the hell?

(37:26):
There's also evidence that Rebecca Berry is not the only
underage girl Chuck Harris has been involved with.
Rebecca Berry told investigatorsin law enforcement that Chuck
Harris was very perverted and aggressive with sex.
He liked to be rough with her and she felt that was the only

(37:48):
reason he was with her. Patty Berry, Rebecca's mom,
explained that Rebecca was neverthe same after her relationship
with Chuck Harris. She felt that he did a lot of
damage and as a result, Rebecca is currently estranged from her
parents and her biological child, whom she was never able

(38:12):
to bond with. Her mom, Patty Barry, has since
adopted Rebecca's daughter and raised her.
Rebecca has a severe drug problem and the Barry family has
not heard from her in over 2 years.
During an interview with a private investigator, Patty

(38:34):
Barry, Rebecca's mom, said several times Mr. Harris should
in no way be allowed to be in the vicinity of young girls
since he is a pedophile. This is where I will leave you

(38:59):
for now. Rest assured, I'll be back to go
over more if you would like to reach out and express concerns
about this case and help the family in their efforts to get a
proper review, a proper investigation.

(39:23):
I have included contact information on Substack and and
I just I have never in my life this this is awful.
It's awful. But again, I encourage all of

(39:47):
you reach out, send an e-mail, send a letter.
I don't care. Send a carrier pigeon.
There has there has to be something that can be done.
The information is linked on theautopsy of a crime sub stack.

(40:08):
