who's in your network, and they can match you with a therapist
in as little as a few days by simply answering just a few
questions. And sometimes therapy can be
like dating. If the first therapist you get
matched with isn't a good fit, that's completely fine and you

(00:45):
can change therapist at no additional cost.
There is no worry about who is in your network, how far away
this therapist's office is, because everything is completely
virtual. So your therapist is at the tips
of your fingertips, literally. Because not only can you live
video chat with them, but you can also send them messages.

(01:07):
Sort of like texting. If you're having a hard time and
it's not quite time for a session, you can just shoot your

We all deserve it. As the nine year anniversary of
Missy Beavers murder creeps uponus, police have yet to find the

(01:56):
persons responsible. Beavers was a 45 year old mother
of three and a fitness instructor for Camp Gladiator.
She was murdered on April 18th, 2016 at the Creekside Church of
Christ in Midlothian, TX as she prepared to teach an early
morning fitness class. The most shocking part?

(02:20):
Her believed killer was caught on camera.
This is without a doubt one of the most baffling cases I think
I've come across. I've followed it for years and
while occasionally there are updates or newly released
information by law enforcement, there has yet to be an arrest or

(02:42):
even a person of interest named Missy was murdered in one of the
last places you would ever thinkthat you would be in danger, let
alone bludgeoned to death. Church avid and fitness and a
healthy lifestyle. Missy taught a workout class at
her church. She called it Camp Gladiator.

(03:06):
It was before 5:00 AM on April 18th and Missy was already at
the church and preparing for theCamp Gladiator class that she
would be hosting that day. She arrived about 45 minutes
early to prepare. Now, this class was usually held
in the church parking lot. However, it had rained very

(03:28):
heavily that night. It had actually been raining for
several days, and Missy, truly dedicated to her campers, as she
called them, would not cancel the class.
She arranged to move that day's class indoors, and I think it's
worth noting that this was severe weather and the locals

(03:52):
were not accustomed to this kindof a torrential downpour.
And then just after 5:00 AM, oneof Missy's campers arrives and
finds her lifeless body inside of the church.
A 911 call is placed stating that someone is injured badly.

(04:17):
Once paramedics arrive on the scene, they pronounce Missy
Beaver's deceased. In a news release that
Midlothian Police released, theyprovided a timeline.
Monday, April 18th, 2016, 3:50 AM.
Suspect first appears on video surveillance camera at Creekside

(04:40):
Church of Christ. 416 AM Missus Beaver's pickup truck is shown
on video surveillance driving into the church parking lot.
4:20 AM Misses Beavers appears on video surveillance camera
walking into the church. 4:35 AM.

(05:02):
Participant and Camp Gladiator arrives at location 5 AM. 2911
calls received from location 5 O1:00 AM.
Fire Department dispatched 5 O 3:00 AM.
Initial patrol officers dispatched 5 O 7:00 AM Fire
department arrives at the location. 5:10 AM Officers

(05:26):
arrive at the location. Now.
Based on this timeline, the suspect was in the church for at
least 20 minutes before Missy arrived.
This time of the day and the time spent inside and the
weather certainly seems to suggest that this was a targeted

(05:51):
murder. Missy was targeted as police
began their investigation. They released information in the
form of this timeline and a video, which is something that
we rarely see in a homicide investigation, which is that the

(06:13):
likely perpetrator was caught onsurveillance camera.
So in the roughly 20 minutes before Missy's final moments,
the church surveillance cameras captured something strange,
someone strange. In fact.
In the release footage, we see aperson walking throughout the

(06:35):
church in Midlothian, TX wearingfull SWAT gear, a tactical
combat style outfit including a helmet, gloves, and a vest.
Another unusual thing about thisperson, aside from their outfit

(06:58):
or disguise, is their walk. The person shown in the video
footage has a very unusual walk.Often, sometimes in coverage of
this case, it's referred to as slew footed, meaning that the
person walks with their feet pointed more outwardly than

(07:22):
straight or inward. Imagine a duck walking.
So police released this footage in the hopes that someone is
going to see this and they are going to recognize this person
and their unusual stance and walk.

(07:45):
And we have to wonder, has this person always walked this way?
Did they maybe have an injury and they're still recovering and
it's causing them to walk this way?
But the idea is that someone knows someone who will see this

(08:05):
and say, oh, that's exactly how I don't know Randy Smith walks.
That walk is so familiar, however we are almost at the
nine year anniversary and that day is yet to come.

(08:27):
What we would also think would be a huge clue the outfit who
possibly owns this sort of combat gear.
You would think that this would really help shrink the suspect
pool. Experts who have weighed in
noted that they feel the uniformlooks new.

(08:51):
Apparently this type of materialused for these certain pieces
are typically stiff until the uniform is well broken in.
And throughout the video of thisperson walking about, you can

(09:13):
see this person is carrying a hammer.
And throughout the video, the individual can be seen casually
walking around seemingly withouta care, randomly opening doors
in the church, some of which arelocked, and even randomly

(09:36):
breaking things such as glass along their walk through the
halls. And then forensically speaking,
someone who walks this way, their shoes would wear in a
certain or unusual pattern than most shoes that we wear wear

(09:58):
down. And given all of the rain that
they had had, we'd also expect to see some form of footprints
leading into the building or out, perhaps even car tire
tracks. Unfortunately, the cameras
outside of the church were broken and so there is no

(10:20):
surveillance footage of this person arriving.
We only have video of the persononce they are in the church.
So the obvious questions. Who would want to hurt Missy?
It was so early in the morning, what are the chances that she

(10:40):
was just simply in the wrong place at the wrong time?
Where did this combat suit come from and is this a man or a
woman? Now, something that I found
fascinating was what experts hadto say regarding this individual

(11:03):
and all of this combat gear. So this gear is usually quite
heavy. There could also potentially be
metal plates that are within thevest which would make it even
heavier. Now when you compare a person
that is walking through a door frame or even near a door frame,

(11:27):
law enforcement can usually estimate very closely how tall
that person is. I don't know about you guys, but
a lot of stores that you go into, they have sort of a
measuring tape next to the doorsthat is so that if they are
robbed, police can very easily narrow down how tall the suspect

(11:50):
is. So given all of this tactical
gear and its weight, that could make someone appear as much as
1/2 inch to an inch shorter thanthey actually are because they
are weighed down. Additionally, it can affect the

(12:11):
way the person walks because of the weight and the overall bulk.
Now to help bring perspective, all of this gear could weigh
upwards of £40. It is a significant amount of
gear with significant weight. So what we know is that police

(12:38):
have released portions of the surveillance video, but not all.
It's also said and believed thatthe attack on Missy was caught
on camera as well. That footage has never been
released for obvious reasons. Police have also stated that
this person forced entry entry into the building prior to

(13:01):
Missy's arrival. How has not been shared, only
that entry was forced, thus theybroke into the church.
When first looking at the video, most people thought that it was
a man, maybe partly because thisis generally the kind of attack
we would see from a male more sothan a woman, statistically

(13:26):
speaking. However, there's now many who
think that this could potentially be a woman.
With all of the gear worn, Helmut included, it's really
hard to say if it's male or female.
Personally, after watching it many, many times, I think it's a

(13:49):
woman. While the walk is weird, the
walk and the mannerisms, they seem feminine to me.
Some angles of the video also show what almost appears to be
breast. It's hard to say though because

(14:09):
of the vest and all of this gear.
Part of me wonders if that's whysomething so elaborate was worn
as a tool to not only mask theiridentity, but to mask their
gender, making it that much harder to narrow down a suspect
because you don't even know if it's a man or a woman.

(14:31):
What gives me full body chills is the idea that this class was
moved indoors nearly at the lastminute.
Some research shows that this announcement was shared in a
Facebook group. Was this group private or
public? If it was private, that would

(14:53):
really bring down the pool of people who would even know that
Missy would be inside instead ofthe usual parking lot location.
As I mentioned, the outside cameras of the church were
broken. Did this person know that he or
she arrives before Missy breaks into the church, walks the halls

(15:15):
casually opening doors and breaking things, and seems to be
waiting for Missy to arrive. They take their time walking
around as if somehow they know they will not encounter anyone
but Missy. Now think of someone dressed
regularly coming at you with a hammer.

(15:39):
I don't know about you but I would run but then throw in this
tactical combat gear get up thatthis person has on.
Did they announce themselves as police?
Did Missy pause? Did she trust them because of
the outfit letting them get close enough to kill her?

(16:03):
It's chilling. I was able to track down a
screen grab of when Missy announced on Facebook that the
class would be moved indoors andshe posted a a meme of sorts.
And it says if it's raining, we're still training.

(16:23):
No excuses. You're gladiators.
So based on this screenshot, it appears that Missy's post about
that day's meet was indeed a public post on Facebook.
And then I also want to mention some things that Joseph Scott
Morgan, who we know that I adore, shared on his podcast

(16:48):
Body Bags. And if you haven't heard his
episode covering this case, I strongly, strongly recommend you
listen to it. Again, his podcast is called
Body Bags. He shared that Missy's cause of
death was attributed to puncturewounds and that tools, plural

(17:12):
belonging to the church, were found near and or around Missy's
body. Now thinking of the wounds,
puncture wounds, I immediately think of the claw side of a
hammer as this person is clearlyseen carrying in the video.

(17:35):
The tools that belonged to the church.
Though, what purpose did any of these tools serve?
A lot of information hasn't beenreleased, so we really don't
know. This is just such an odd thing
and it kind of deviates from everything else that we know.

(17:56):
It strays from what otherwise would seem like a very planned
event. We know that this person arrived
early before missing, wearing full tactical gear, gloves and a
helmet, but then seems to have acquired the weapon from inside
the church. By all other accounts and

(18:19):
details this was very thought out and planned.
But then they don't come with a weapon, they get one or multiple
from inside the church. Which then makes me wonder how
he or she even knew that the church had tools.

(18:41):
It seems random, a hammer in a church.
I'm sure that they do maintenance and such, but that
was a huge risk if this person didn't have intimate knowledge
of things that were inside of the church to appear to have
planned so well, but not bring aweapon and risk potentially not

(19:07):
being able to obtain one once inside of the church.
I personally believe that this was very targeted and I feel
strongly that this person was there with the sole intention of
killing Missy Beavers. And the elaborate outfit is

(19:28):
because without it, people probably would have known right
away who it was. So many questions remain, but
one thing is for sure, Missy's murderer is still out there.
Missy and her family deserve justice.

(19:52):
This case remains under investigation.
