this, and this is this week'sedition of Awakened Conscious
Conversations podcast.
I recorded an episode the otherweek and for some reason it
didn't work and I've only beenable to record today, so

apologies, I take it veryseriously that I can get an
episode out weekly, so thank youfor the patience in this matter

So it is a truly wonderful daytoday.
I say that because the sun isshining, it looks like it's
(00:51):
going to be a warm but not overhot day, and already I have
prayed witness to nature.
A wonderful little bumblebeebumbling along has managed to
get all the way up to ourbalcony, and it must be like
heaven to this little bumblebeebecause there is an abundance of
flowers and nature for it to toplay with today, for I am in
(01:18):
the city today and, um, yeah, Imanaged to create a nature
heaven here as well.
And the other day the podcast Irecorded that didn't quite work
was all about the beauty ofrobins, and I went into detail
(01:38):
of how I'd come across a robinon my path on the way to a walk
and how to me they always feellike little messengers from
heaven, kind of letting me knowthat I'm okay or and they've got
my back, and they feature quitea lot in mythology and in all
different places and are oftenassociated with signs from loved

ones that had passed.
And myself not being overlylike, I don't kind of follow
things just because people say,but I feel that in the case of
the robin it does feel like it'skind of divine being and the
fact that they're so friendly,friendly and at the same time
(02:25):
able to place boundaries wherethey need to be, so they will
come and like say hello.
Sometimes people encourage themto eat from the hands and I
don't do that because I thinknot that there's anything wrong
with that in a sense, but I justfeel like I like anything wrong
(02:47):
with that in a sense, but Ijust feel like I like animals
and birds to stay wild and howthey are.
But they are very friendly and,um, you've scattered some seeds
, they'll generally come backand get them.
Um, but they also know theirboundaries, so if you get too
close they will just fly away.
So but they sometimes likegetting really close to us.
But they that, if anything, wasan indication of how to be

gentle, kind, friendly but haveboundaries, and it would be a
robin um.
But that was the podcast that Irecorded and it didn't quite
work, for whatever reason.
Sometimes technology can bethat way.
So today we are going to see thechange of seasons and, as I
(03:31):
know, I've got an internationalaudience.
So, as we're coming into summer, in some parts of the world you
will be coming into your winter, but either way it is still
relevant because you can embracewhat winter means for you.
So if you're coming into winter, it's a time to slow down.
If you're coming into summer,it's a time for life, but at the
(03:57):
same time, obviously the heatmakes us slow down, but in a
different way to slowing down,which I think is more
intentionally slowing down inthe winter as we kind of
recuperate, and in the summer wekind of.
It's all about kind of life andum being and, and I love all
the seasons.
And some people live in placeswhere you don't have seasons and

I think that's fascinating too,and perhaps there is subtle
changes.
I don't know, because I'venever lived anywhere that
doesn't have seasons.
I'd be really interested toknow how that is for you with
the different seasons.
Yeah, so please let me know ifif you live somewhere that
doesn't have seasons and thesubtle changes there is, but um,

getting back to what I wassaying, so to you, can look at
what the gifts are and um, inthe uk it's a time when there's
everyone seems to be a lothappier um, because a lot of
people conditional happiness onthe external thing and, don't

get me wrong, if it's a reallywindy, miserable day, then
sometimes it is a bit hard to behappy.
But then I really love the rain.
I'm one of these few peoplethat actually love the rain.
I love walking in the rain, Ilove the smell of the rain.
I don't like it when it's windybecause I, and rainy because
it's a bit hard to maneuver then.
But again, I might put myconditions on um how the weather

is, because we need all thedifferent weathers here to make
the plants grow etc.
And I think the summer kind ofshows a lot of abundance.
There's abundance in differentways in all seasons.
Like um, I think there's anabundance of causiness in the
winter, there's abundance ofkind of new life in the spring,
(05:50):
there's abundance of everythingin the summer, and the autumn is
the abundance of our efforts,or fall as it is called in some
places and whatever, whereveryou are, I invite you today to
to really tap in to a theabundance of the season that

Um what time in the moon cycleis it?
So?
I know it's coming up as Irecord this.
It's coming up to a new moonwhich, um, even if you find all
of it that a bit kind of much,for you, it's a good time.
It's a new start.
Just think it's kind of.
It's just I think a new moon'slike having a brand new notebook

and you're turning over thefirst page.
Um, it's kind of like the foolcard that you have in tarot, the
adventurer, the journey, justbefore you.
It's kind of like a new chapter.
If you were writing a book,it's a new chapter of your life,
like, just like each day is anew chapter.
A new moon is a new chapter ofa period of time and where it's
(06:59):
like a full moon is where thingshave come to full fruitation
and it's a time kind of to kindof reap the benefits to that.
Or sometimes it can be kind ofmagnified whatever's happened,
whereas the new moon is comingout of this beautiful darkness
of the sky, and the new moongives us new possibilities, a
(07:26):
new way of being.
It's a good time to startsomething new and it's a good
time to write down what youwould like to achieve during
this time.
So as I record this, I my eyesare drawn to beautiful pink
flowers and wisteria.
You know that vine-like plantwhich gets those beautiful um
(07:50):
flowers sometimes purple.
I've seen them in other colorsas well um and that, and then
all the animals, uh, that comeout at night in the summer.
I'm sure they do it other times, but maybe because we've got
our windows open, we can hearthem more, like even in the city
.
When I'm in the city, it'sinteresting, right, and when I'm
(08:11):
in the city, there's an owlthat lives near here, and then
when I'm in the countryside,there's an owl that lives near
there as well.
And um, yeah, like you see allthe nature kind of being really
busy at this time of year,trying to to do stuff, because
it's kind of a new period forlife that's what I would
describe it as um, and it'sabout to become a new moon in
(08:37):
gemini, and what that means tome is how multifaceted can you
be?
Can you see the world throughmore than one lens as well as
your own point of view, can youhave empathy for people that may
have different point of viewsto you?
And how can we learn to existand be in this world where we
(08:59):
are accepting and loving eachother unconditionally but at the
same time, of course, we putour boundaries down so that
we're not kind of walked allover?
But can we tap into our innerbeing and find that love?
And for me that is sparked offby a walk in nature, because the
way mother earth loves us, allthe bad things that we do, um,
(09:26):
life is really busy.
We try to recycle.
Then you hear that mostrecycling I don't know if this
is true, but I've heard that alot of it isn't recycled and
then you just think, actually,could the people at the top just
stop the production of plasticbottles and make them out of
something that biodegrades andhelps the earth?
(09:47):
But I guess that would be toosimple in a world that,
unfortunately, that is ruledquite often by greed and by
those who wish to harm.
But within that, mother natureloves us still and provides us
with solutions, with nurture andcare, and I just want to say
(10:09):
thank you to the planet forallowing me to be here at this
particular time, which isn'teasy.
There's wars everywhere and alot of people are hurting and
all different opinions ondifferent things.
And yeah, we, we try and recycle, but then sometimes we're out
(10:30):
and about and we have to buysomething that isn't necessary
so good for the planet and, um,I just remember being in another
country, so in india, and ifyou got german people didn't
take things away for takeaway,they would just have their
drinks in the places, um, likeif you wanted a tea or food, and
(10:52):
then you just kind of, even ifyou ate outside, then you just
leave it.
Where is here?
Everything's in packaging.
But I digress a bit.
But what I'm trying to say ismother nature loves us,
regardless of all this stuff wedo, but we really kind of need
to give back to her more.
So can we make grow a haven fornature?
Can we learn to respect it andcare for it and send it love,
(11:16):
joy, meaning and understanding?
And by doing that we becomemore whole and hence we are able
to send others more joy,meaning, love and understanding.
Four isn't it our journey tolearn to work upon ourselves,
(11:38):
and by doing that we then helpothers and also have compassion,
because we're not going to beperfect, but it's learning from
things and taking responsibilityfor our lives but, at the same
time, knowing that everything isas it should be, but that we
have the ability to change butalso love and accept ourselves
(11:59):
at the same time, and that canbe a difficult dance.
I know where everything is, sogoal orientated, especially.
I know it is in the west.
I can't I haven't lived inother countries so I can't say
how it is there but itdefinitely is such goal
orientated.
And yeah, it's like can webecome in love with the ordinary
(12:24):
, can we find the extraordinaryin the ordinary and can we learn
to be just letting it go andjust allowing ourselves to
unfold?
So I, I record, I record ameditation this time, but I've
(12:44):
I've added this one severaltimes before because it's I
loved it so much.
I recorded it live in a privateforest and it's just tapping
into and listen to the nature.
And the reason I want to shareit, especially today, is because
we can't always get out innature, but I believe listening
to the sounds of nature, evenwhen we can't get out in it, um
(13:07):
has that meditative aspect andfeeling to ourselves.

Top tips for the meditation iseither sit nice and cross-legged
on the floor with a nicestraight back, always nice to
sit on a block or a cushion, orthat's not available for you you
sit in a chair with the backnice and straight.

The important thing is you'renot slouching, and if you're
doing something that requiresyour concentration, all you need
to do is just pause this andyou can reconvene the meditation
at a time that is good for you.

Live in a private forest andI'm surrounded by birds and you

can hear the water from thebrook and the little river
behind me.
I'm going to take some slow,calm, deep breaths and just
start to take some steps.
Via your imagination, you canalso be in a forest with all its
(14:57):
noises, and as you breatheslowly on the ground and as you
walk along in your imagination,you know that change is made up
of steps, always done from aplace of mindfulness, as much as
(15:26):
we can.
Sometimes we have to dive indeep and sometimes we have to
step in slow, but whatever we dothrough life, everything
happens by making the first step.
(15:48):
So, what first steps can youmake today?
What changes, perhaps toslightly go outside one's
comfort zone, which isn't alwayswhat we want to do.
However, remember there's morediscomfort in life by not making
(16:15):
changes that are for our goodthan by being in the comfort of
unease.
Disease in the body is whenwe're at disease.
So what small steps can you maketoday?
(16:40):
As you walk through thisimaginary forest?
The sound of the feet on theground, the smell of the flowers
, the wildflowers, the rustle ofthe little creatures, the song
(17:12):
of the bird what is your song?
What is your goal?
What is your mission in life?
The textures of the leaves, theground, what can you show up
today to do?
That might be slightlydiscomfort, but in the long term
(17:38):
will bring ease, but in thelong term will bring ease.
(18:09):
And whatever that is for you,perhaps as we come out of this
meditation, as you inhale, asyou exhale, you begin to make a
note of it and with each day youcan make a note of which step
(18:31):
you can make towards that.
It can be a little step,sometimes it's a giant leap,
sometimes it's just a tiny microstep, but whatever it is, just
step into your flow.
