Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello, dear listeners
, and welcome to this spring
equinox version of AwakenedConscious Conversations podcast.
I'm the Gentle Yoga Warrior andas I share my words with you
right now, I can see a skylineof beautiful sunshine and trees,
and some buildings too.
But they all make up this.
(00:21):
But they all make up this danceof life and spring equinox.
For many people think, oh, whatdoes that even feel like?
For me, what does that evenmean?
(00:43):
So spring equ, a time when theday and night become equal in
length, as the Sun elegantlymoves across the celestial
(01:03):
equator, headed northwards, headed to the north, and it
marks the start of spring.
And what does spring bring toyou?
What is spring?
In so many ways, sprouting theseeds.
(01:24):
So I say, like the, the startof the year is more like the
ideas phase and you can start toput things into place.
But as the spring comes, it's,it's some of these little
seedlings kind of start to growup and some will grow to full
flowers and some won't.
And that's how life generallyis anyway, won't?
(01:59):
And that's how life generallyis anyway.
So, yes, we of the, the sleepywinter time, of course, as
always, I know I haveinternational listeners, so you
will be experiencing somethingdifferent.
Where you are In Australia, Iknow instead it would be your
(02:21):
autumn equinox, and if that isthe case you will be shredding
and letting go of things, whereas at this end it's all
about new beginnings andseedlings and growing and what
growth.
And as we go through this bumpyterrain, because it feels like
a bird trying to learn to flyfor the first time, if it, if it
(02:44):
was in a cartoon bear with mebit abstract I know, but kind of
trying to take off and and notquite take it off, because it's
like, oh no, one day winterwants to be a bit more, one day
summer wants to be a bit more,or spring, rather rather, wants
a bit more.
One day it's sunny, one dayit's bright sunshine, one day
(03:05):
it's rain, one day it's hail,snow.
It's kind of the forces tryingto take off the winter coat and
put on this spring coat, whereasyou see the signs of life.
I love watching all the littlebirds, especially the blackbirds
.
The little blackbirds runaround looking so stressed,
trying to find things for theirnests and constantly going on
(03:29):
food runs to feed their youngand um, it can kind of feel like
that when we're doing new ideas.
There's this, this way in whichwe end up rushing or or
procrastinating, becauseprocrastination which I can do
is a form of kind of fear, in myopinion, that a form of fear or
(03:54):
or failure rather, and soputting things off a bit can
help in a realistic way.
Feel is make us feel safer, because if we don't try then we
don't fail.
But you know, failure is, Ijust like to add, just like
success, failure, um, fromliving on this planet for a
(04:16):
while, I think actually, sometimes our successes, um
aren't always what they weremeant to be, and sometimes our
failures actually lead to ourgreatest success.
But equally, when we feel likewe've reached success in
something, we should celebrateit and not have the fear of it,
because I think there's a fearin a lot of people sometimes
(04:36):
about being successful, as asthere is a feel, a fear of
failure, and hence why thesethings like streaming tv and
things like that can kind ofjust like be a very easy, quick
fix to kind of come out of thediscomfort of of that sometimes
and I suggest a new road insteadwhen we're kind of trying to
(05:02):
achieve or do things and we feellike, oh, could you get that
moment from being with nature, especially this time of year it
is so waking up, it's so full oflife and I know it feeds my
soul when I walk out and aboutin it.
So can you connect with nature?
And sometimes you just think,oh, I've got stuff to do and
(05:23):
obviously, yeah, do your workand stuff, but can you sneak
like 10 minutes on your lunchbreak just to do a round around
the park there's parks mostplaces, even if you live in the
city, or your garden orsomething where you can just
connect and be with the nature.
(05:49):
No-transcript, of course thereis like plants that we shouldn't
eat or animals that weshouldn't go near and things.
It's like using your commonsense, but like seeing little
birds singing and seeing birdstake off and all the little
(06:11):
animals.
And it makes me really sad, actually when you see all the
roadkill at this time of year, because there's lots of badgers
about and lots of young deersand things and they don't really
know their way about the world.
They don't know that themotorway or freeway or whatever
you call it in your country is aplace of danger for them and
innocently and that's sometimesthe saddest part is that
(06:34):
innocently, they've justprobably just tried to cross it
to get food, um.
So that signifies to me howprecious and short life can be
because we think we're immortaland we'll be here forever.
And in many ways we areimmortal in many ways, but our
physical body has a amount oftime here on this plane and
(06:57):
let's appreciate it and fullyunderstand it.
And you use your faith.
Everyone's going to havedifferent faiths, whether you're
you're christian, you're pagan, jewish, whatever your faith is.
Then do use that as a time toconnect in to the spring and
celebrate and have a great senseof gratitude, but then find the
(07:21):
balance between so it was a bitmore of a slumber at the start
of year.
This time of year, spring, isthe time for a lovely hard work.
But then equal balance of justbeing and connecting in the
moment.
And even if you're goingthrough your autumn equinox,
just you're a different part ofthe world.
(07:42):
It's finding that balancebetween doing a bit less and a
bit more and shredding andletting things go.
So, um, they're kind of similarin many ways.
It's just one's coming intowinter and one's coming out of
winter and just for a momentit's quite similar and alive and
(08:04):
beauty of being alive.
So what can you do yourself forthis autumn equinox.
My biggest tip is, if youpossibly can, please go for a
long or even short because againI know everyone's got different
times or or short, any kind ofwalk that you can do in nature,
(08:26):
but using all your senses soyou're taking in all your
surroundings, the smells andwhat there is out there.
And then at the end of thiswalk, if you pick up your
journal and just write somespringy actions that you would
like to take, um from thisrun-up from spring through to
the summer, and um and what that, what it means to you, and
(08:50):
it'll all be very individual, and I I suggest doing stream of
consciousness, which is justletting it all.
First of all, just letting thepen touch the paper.
And it's nice to do pen andpaper if you can, but if you
want to do electronic, go for it, but it's just the touch of the
pen and paper, even pencil, holding the wood as you, as you
write, is really nice.
And just do stream ofconsciousness to get it down
(09:11):
onto the paper and then feel theliveness out of that, and then
maybe you can pick parts out, ifthat's the way you want to do
it.
Maybe you want to do listsstraight away, but these are
just a few suggestions and youcan really tap in to that spring
energy, and then I would find amoment to sit and maybe light a
candle, if you want tosomething that you want to do,
(09:31):
and just sit and just think ofthings that you're grateful for
and things that you wish tomanifest and people that you're
grateful for, and then do yousubmit kind for someone else.
That day as well, we can get sowrapped up in ourself, but is
there something that you're kindthat you can do for someone
that day?
It could just even be giving asmile to someone that you feel
(09:54):
needs a smile.
All these different things thatwe can do, and that is how I
would navigate the springequinox in a way that feels
authentic and real with the waythat life is these days.
So next week I do have aspecial guest, which I'm
actually recording with them ina couple of days time and I may
(10:16):
put that episode out earlier.
If, um, if it feels the rightthing to do, and if you would
like to have a bit of help inthis spring equinox, do go to my
website, as I offer onlinehealing sessions and also
(10:37):
in-person shamanic healingsessions, and feel as if you can
heal and be so for yourmeditation this week.
I normally record one, but itis the journaling activity that
I just shared.
If you do have any questionsabout it, do reach out.
