Welcome to Awkwards Anonymous! We’re two sisters with a disease to please, conducting our own group therapy discussing how life as introverts can railroad the simplest of day-to-day activities. We're making a conscious effort to be unapologetically honest and just speak our truths...while having the most fun we can. Meet with us every Tuesday to discuss all of the thoughts, feelings, emotions and whacky behavior we experience as Awkwards...and really anything else we’d normally never say out loud. Now Missy's all screwed up and in desperate need for some Awkwards Anonymous. When life is so full of amazing, yet fleeting, moments and events, it's a burden to be so acutely aware that it will be in the past soon enough. Missy and Chrissy discuss the powerful need to protect yourself from feeling vulnerable. But it has its downsides and can stop you from allowing yourself to enjoy the enjoyable parts of life.

ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY! Ok, Chrissy's feeling a lot better this week and has dug through some layers to get to the root of what has been making her feel so anxious the last couple months. Sometimes it's hard to ask for help and it starts to be a pretty heavy burden. Missy and Chrissy also talk about their different relationship styles and dig into why they are the way they are with their spouses.
As discussed in p...
Wow. Chrissy's got some full-on regression going on this week and she's is in desperate need of a heaping helping of Awkwards Anonymous. Trying to make a little extra cash is super difficult when it depends on an introvert being social, friendly and engaging. Missy and Chrissy have some work to do in the next couple months.

Missy and Chrissy have some lingering business to attend to before signing off. Before they even knew what they would make a podcast about they did a brain dump of 3 pages worth of anecdotes, random thoughts and secret feelings. They covered 98% of those points in the last year but some things just never made sense to bring up. In this episode, they cover the lonely, left out bullets from their original outline. Some last but cer...
In this episode, Missy and Chrissy discuss their weeks and boldly publish their session....unedited. It's actually not as bad as they thought it would be but that might be thanks to a year's worth of practice. The point though is to encourage anyone else thinking about starting a podcast of their own...do it! If they can do it, so can you. And editing tools are the secret sauce. Even if no one ever listens, it's such...
Missy and Chrissy have some interaction-loaded weeks making this a perfect opportunity for some therapy around the completely unnecessary anxiety leading up to even the most trivial events. It doesn't matter how excited they are or how much they love who they're meeting or talking to...it makes them anxious. Delivering a cake or meeting an old friend...their minds are spinning until the deed has come and gone. The overth...
This extra special episode offers a glimpse into Missy and Chrissy's less shy past and personalities. They have 2 guests join this week to help unpack a confusing dynamic...love, dating and relationships. The fun trips down memory lane leave them reflecting on how lucky they are to have found their soul mates before their confidence completely expired.

Just like a nice healthy poop, this is a good one. There's no one that can't use a little therapy around the inevitable awkwardness that is bowel movements. Missy and Chrissy actually stay on task this week and discuss one of their favorite subjects...pooping. Everyone does it, but for some reason we're still so ashamed. This week...they let it all out and if feels so good.

Chrissy's tied the knot! In this episode, they talk about their friggin' awkward weeks and then share their idea of the best way to get married (it was Chrissy's idea first, don't let social media tell you anything otherwise). Participating in weddings is a hotbed of discomfort for an awkward and they've recently been through the thick of it so a good AA session is definitely in order.

Why is it so exhausting to give and receive praise and gratitude? In this episode Missy and Chrissy exchange stories and try to crack this nut. What is the perfect balance between being genuine and being too sappy? How do you navigate away from what they call the "mush hole"? Ever been stuck in a never-ending loop of "no, thank you" "no, you're the best" "no, you hang up" "no, you ...
Missy and Chrissy have their first ever guest co-host! And let's just say...these awkward quirks...they run in the family. And apparently so does an inability to stay focused. For the most part, they try to discuss the topic of parties and the discomfort that accompanies them. Show up early, on time, late, not at all? Games, humor, food...it's all part of the awkward melting pot.

Missy and Chrissy follow a "speaking of..." trail in this episode. From those dreaded "they're right behind me aren't they?" moments, to how awkward old people can be, they travel all over the awkward map.

Missy and Chrissy are review the final list of words that express the sneaky, but common, emotions that often go unidentified. Listen once again as they butcher some beautiful words for some intensely relatable emotions they didn't even know had identities of their own. Awkward listeners will certainly relate!

Missy and Chrissy dissect the different generations and give their opinions. Which generation is the best? Which generation needs to get woke? Which generation doesn't know how to use woke the right way? This episode is a fun one and a perfect exercise for them to express their thoughts without flinching...well maybe a little flinching but they're still proud of themselves.

Missy and Chrissy discuss the delicate art of getting off of a call in this episode. The surprising thing is that at least one of them feels like they've actually made progress in this area. This podcast is paying off after all! Need some encouragement that you too can leave a meeting or phone call without debilitating anxiety? If they can do it, there's definitely hope for you!

Missy and Chrissy are displaying a classic awkward trait this week...they have lost focus and can't seem to get things back under control. Sometimes your brain goes on strike and there's not much you can do. But hopefully they make up for what they lack in genuine AA content by at least being entertaining. They try to be here for you every week, even if things are feeling a bit discombobulated...that should count for some...
In this episode, Chrissy recounts some painful lessons she's learned this week. Both sisters have small side-hustles they're trying to get off the ground and it seems clear that sometimes the biggest thing standing in their way is themselves. But it's important to recognize these opportunities for growth and that's what they're doing. This week's advice is to be confident and not give up!

In this episode, Missy is having a major crisis saying "no deal" to local businesses. Why is it so hard? Even when you have no personal relationship, having a certain flavor of awkward means you can't make any decision without walking a mile in someone else's shoes...mentally. Will it hurt their feelings? Will it piss them off? Does it mean they won't be able to make rent this month? The personal responsibi...
