Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to The John's Family Podcast. For this week Halloween theme.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Correct it is? Does everyone to talk through their costumes? Yeah,
you've probably got the most effort, I would say to Jay.

Speaker 3 (00:14):
And yet what I did was just go through my
wardrobe and my makeup draw nothing brought in.

Speaker 4 (00:23):
I believe that.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
What are you though? Explain it to the people, because.

Speaker 5 (00:27):
Listening, I'm just creepy. I don't know you.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
I'm going to hang on. I'm going to warn you
one more time. I'm not about this funny business today.
I get it spooky Halloween, but no more funny business.
I've asked you twice, explain what you are or face
the consequences. OK, We'll just stop right there then.

Speaker 5 (00:51):
So I'm all in black, and also speak up because
I'm all in black? Is that okay? I'm all in black.

Speaker 3 (00:59):
I have a black plats, I have yellow sorry orange
and black stripe hands a terrifying. I have an extended
lip and it looks like someone may have stitched up
my lips at some stage.

Speaker 4 (01:16):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
That's what I would say. It's like a skeleton. Let's
just say you're a skeleton outfits the dead.

Speaker 5 (01:24):
Top and sort of a slash Wednesday ish.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
Yeah, Wednesday, yeah, yeah, maybe.

Speaker 5 (01:29):
Tuesday, perhaps Sunday.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
I'm already off this idea. Well are a minute and
a half in and you've already lost me to an
idea I was very happy about. And you come in
here and you were so energetic, and then you come
in here and then my turns on and you start
speaking like a mouse and then refuse I.

Speaker 5 (01:50):
Was actually being in character, but then you berated me
for that.

Speaker 4 (01:55):
Tell you what character? The character wasn't very engaging. And
as Batman again.

Speaker 5 (02:02):
Creativity.

Speaker 4 (02:04):
Yeah, the mask is a bit more realistic this time,
although I just can't seem to make it work. It's
a bit of an angle, you know, Yeah, yeah, you know,
I'll take it.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
It's like Batman has been too many scrums over the years. Cooper,
no surprises me.

Speaker 5 (02:21):
This came out of your wardrobe.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
Elect Hannimal, Elector one of my favorite villains of all time,
A man who eats someone else's face off that's not
his own. It's a yes for me. It's a yes
for me. And I've got a little quiz later on
my favorite movie villains, and you guys have to guess
on how many victims you think they have. Could I
researched how many victims they've gone? Oh, man, I'm always thinking,
I'm always thinking it. And Dad, you've come as yourself.

Speaker 5 (02:46):
Yeah, he went to his wardrobe.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
She rated Cooper's wardrobe. And I'll come as Jeffrey Darmer.

Speaker 5 (02:53):
What's with the bread rolls over the sign?

Speaker 6 (02:56):
Well, Trish, what I've done.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
I've prepared a meal for you and I and I
think you'll find the meat in there quite.

Speaker 5 (03:04):
Flesh and enjoy, don't I know? I can't know.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
It's a guys, it's white meat, and that the white
meat is it's a fast twitch muscle, which means I've
carves it off the hamstring.

Speaker 4 (03:15):
I somehow you've turned that into like a football theme somehow.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
Oh my god, that bread bad. How long has that
bread been there? That was like biting? I know, but
do you hear how crunchy that is. That's like a
bread roll that is.

Speaker 4 (03:32):
Makes very bright you feel like Trician Cooper?

Speaker 2 (03:38):
Oh my lord? What are absolutely that is? It sounds
like you're biting into someone's.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
Ashes, biting into a dead person. Yeah, dead sandwich. Because
in that movie, Jeffrey Darmer, it's a show. Well it
was a TV shap. He turns up at his neighbour's
place presents her with the sandwich.

Speaker 5 (03:59):
Always right, I missed that. I stopped it.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
How chewy is that in your mouth?

Speaker 6 (04:03):
Extremely?

Speaker 4 (04:04):
It looks like there's no saliva in his mouth whatsoever.
It's like he's got cotton mouth.

Speaker 6 (04:08):
I got. I'm chewing on the fingers at the moment,
so it's a little bit chewy. I'm gonna say I'm
not a fan of Halloween. I just find Halloween snotty nosed, unappreciative.
Little people walking around with little mucus.

Speaker 5 (04:23):
Kids or like mister sneeze everywhere.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
Yeah, and kids that like they're all on sugar highs.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
Yeah, and they put their hands into the lolly chart
just put him in there. They've had their fingers up
their nose and probably wiping, scratching their asses, and then
all of a sudden that yet, I'm going to put
up a sign not here today, not here tonight, not here.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
Ever when you've had trigger treaters, are you guys the
kind of people that would say only take one?

Speaker 3 (04:52):
Well, yeah, well remember at our old house, like we
would have an influx of people, like people would drive
down drop off their kids, and like it would be
full on. You'd go to the front door and there
could be twenty children in our front yard. So I
actually did have to I think one time I had
to send one of you guys out to go and

(05:12):
get more lollies. And I also, I don't go cheap.
I go for the wrapped lollies. Yeah, for hygiene, hygiene
and safety purpose.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
Most people go for the wrap.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
I'm going to say the challenge, Yeah, let's see if
we can scare kids off off our front lawn when
they come in a pretty good job, right Nolat The
four of us operates as a four person combination and
basically see if we can terrify the kids that they
won't come any were near the front door.

Speaker 6 (05:38):
I think we could do it.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
Would you want to stood there?

Speaker 6 (05:41):
That talk like ed Gan? And yeah, that's who I
actually thought you were, Edan Jesus Christ.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
The thing about it, Dad, I like that you've come
in character. Let's let's get that character stopping your You're
being that weird that I don't know if I can
converse with a serial pest killer.

Speaker 3 (06:01):
Yes, do you know what the origins of Halloween are?
I don't think a lot of people do.

Speaker 6 (06:06):
It's a It's a Celtic pagan ritual.

Speaker 5 (06:09):
What is that city?

Speaker 3 (06:09):
Celtic is based off a Celtic festival called sam Hayne. Yeah,
but how does the pagans it's.

Speaker 6 (06:16):
Paganism a gift to the gods.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
At the end of every summer, they do a gift
to the gods, hoping that there they that their winter
crops will still come up.

Speaker 3 (06:29):
Really, because I thought it was also like it later
became a Christian observance of all hellos.

Speaker 6 (06:36):
Goblin.

Speaker 4 (06:36):
I don't have the headphones on today because I'm I'm
I've got my Batman mask on. I can't tell, but
it feels really low without the headphones, Like are you
with me?

Speaker 6 (06:45):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (06:45):
Does it seem low?

Speaker 4 (06:47):
I mean like the conversation with energy, Yeah, lack syenergy.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
But then you and Dad debating on two origin stories
of Halloween. I will say, but it was very boring
this one.

Speaker 6 (06:59):
If you're a horror franchise, which would you be?

Speaker 2 (07:02):
Cooper Human Centipede?

Speaker 5 (07:06):
Is that horror film?

Speaker 2 (07:07):
Can't pick my.

Speaker 6 (07:08):
Yeah, I've never watched.

Speaker 2 (07:12):
There's actually a podcast with the director. I think Alec Baldwin.
He has got to put the thing. I don't think he.

Speaker 6 (07:19):
Released a Swedish guy who made it.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
I don't think he released episodes anymore. Really like Baldwin,
but he he interviews the director who makes Human Centipede.
Weird kind of dude, normal enough, but he's a big
like he doesn't see it as a joke, like because
you would think the kind of person that makes that
movie would like be a little bit sick in the head.
He sees it like as a as a message, like
he kind of what's the message?

Speaker 5 (07:43):
No, it's like that is that what they're doing? Is it?

Speaker 6 (07:48):
He does not practice what you prove, so he head
to bottom.

Speaker 2 (07:52):
It's like head to bottom. I mean if you're in
the Human Centipede, because the first one is three people,
so it's like he kidnaps three people like backpackers, and
then he shows Yeah, I had to ask, like so
they look like a centipede, but you want to be
at the front because he feeds the front person and
then like if you're the last person.

Speaker 1 (08:11):
Yeah, everybody the last one. Human centerped three is like
one hundred person center.

Speaker 4 (08:20):
Three times in.

Speaker 5 (08:20):
The have some weird movies.

Speaker 6 (08:24):
It's funny that I go theory. Cold weather cities.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
Often the very smart people live in cold weather cities,
but they're also a little bit sicky, a bit sicker.

Speaker 4 (08:35):
Well, you don't see too many hot weather horror movies.
I don't see like movies in Miami that are like
horror for Isn't it.

Speaker 5 (08:41):
Like, I Know what you did last summer?

Speaker 2 (08:43):
Yeah? I don't know where that's set though, but I
wouldn't really call generally summers like most places on Earth.

Speaker 6 (08:49):
I'd say it's more of a Yellowstone Park, which one
I know what you did last summer because it's a cabin.

Speaker 2 (08:57):
No, no, okay, what's your one mate?

Speaker 6 (09:01):
I've gone The Friday thirteenth.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
Oh yes, Jason, probably Jason Borjas.

Speaker 1 (09:08):
Who have respect for him, the man with the hockey
mask and unquenchable bloodlust and fantastic movie. First horror movie
I ever really saw. In fact, Friday the thirteenth, thirteenth two.

Speaker 6 (09:21):
At the conclusion of.

Speaker 1 (09:22):
The movie, Jason spoiler alert, jumps through someone's bedroom window
and like attacks them and kills them For the next
three years. I pushed my bed away from that window.

Speaker 2 (09:34):
Oh yeah, It's funny the things that like you fear
in horror movies, and then how it'll affect like the
amount of kids that would have seen movies where somebody
underneath the bed grabs.

Speaker 5 (09:47):
Someone, yeah, or the wardrobe in.

Speaker 2 (09:49):
The closet, and then the amount of people that get
scared of closets and under the bed. Yeah, like he's
one of those things.

Speaker 5 (09:56):
And like with someone knocking at your door in.

Speaker 2 (09:58):
The dimly litch streetl lights like flickering street lights, you know,
like that that sinister esque where a street light is flickering.

Speaker 4 (10:06):
That white light too, like even like the way they
light it, like you know, there's like the soft light
like the one we've got in this room, for example,
but then you have those white lights that flicker and
it's like it feels like you're in like underground.

Speaker 1 (10:17):
Yeah it does. Does you saw movies? Yeah, that's flickering
you know, you.

Speaker 4 (10:21):
Know in the Joker movie when he's in the when
he's in the bathroom dancing like that sort of like.

Speaker 5 (10:27):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's a fluorescent.

Speaker 4 (10:31):
Yeah, so close to the I'm going to actually have
to get this mask off soon because I've realized that
I might be getting like what is it when you
like hate somare spaces claustrophe?

Speaker 5 (10:43):
Yeah, it is it blocking your nose.

Speaker 4 (10:45):
It's blocking my nose. At the same time, it's getting
really hot. Really, take it off and up and I'm
actually like, you know, when you start getting so uncomfortable
that like you start panicking, I've got mild panics happening.

Speaker 5 (10:59):
Take it off that you take it off.

Speaker 2 (11:02):
Oh god, it's actually it's the most realistic. It's one
of the most realistic Batman masks we've ever got.

Speaker 5 (11:09):
Well, there's there's food for thought. Think about the poor actors.

Speaker 1 (11:12):
Well, we know a person, a family friend of sorts,
who nearly died because she got there and she wore
a rubbish nurses outfit waiting for the husband to get home,
and then she went to take it take it off
while he wasn't there. She's gone to see him in it,
and got stuck around her neck and she was literally suffocating.

Speaker 5 (11:34):
She couldn't really.

Speaker 2 (11:36):
Yeah, yeah, I know a guy that nearly died because
he had like those overalls on that you go in
swamps with and then I don't know exactly what they're called,
but he tripped in the water. And if you trip in,
they drown you because they fill all the way to
your legs and then you just sink sink and he

(11:57):
sunk and then luckily someone helped him out. Where was it?
It was down in Wodonga.

Speaker 6 (12:02):
Yeah, Tributory makes you sink, doesn't It makes you makes
you think?

Speaker 4 (12:07):
Yeah, what yours?

Speaker 3 (12:07):
Trush Mine is the Scary Movie franchise.

Speaker 5 (12:14):
I like the spoof take that it takes.

Speaker 1 (12:16):
Spoofake, spoof spoof is something something else.

Speaker 3 (12:25):
And I just love that it sort of takes its
plot ques from those nineties movies.

Speaker 2 (12:32):
Scary Movie is in like the piss take one has
like Charlie Sheen and.

Speaker 4 (12:38):
I actually try to get coop of the go as
the you know, the aliens from Scary Movie two that
are they're on the field from the movie signs and
they basically tell the President of the United States that
they shake they pee from their fingers, but they also
at the same time finger people's mouths to say hello
with their fingers.

Speaker 2 (12:55):
Yeah, they urinate out of their fingers.

Speaker 1 (12:58):
Can I give you a list, a very quick list
of the top seven highest grossing movie franchises in horror movie?

Speaker 5 (13:03):
What do you think? Try and guess?

Speaker 6 (13:06):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (13:06):
Yeah, can you let us guess?

Speaker 4 (13:08):
Yes?

Speaker 6 (13:09):
Have a crack? What's the number one?

Speaker 4 (13:12):
The best part of that is it's a good it's
a good idea Cooper and Trush. But the problem is
it wasn't a part of Matthew's plan.

Speaker 6 (13:20):
Everyone everyone has a crack of what's.

Speaker 3 (13:22):
Not I actually think it might be my scary movie
franchise because it's about five.

Speaker 2 (13:28):
I wouldn't say I would say Sore is in the
top seven.

Speaker 4 (13:31):
Jack, I'm going to go with I'm going to go
with the Halloween franchise. Jack is right, Halloween is number one,
and that's also that's also my my scariest horror.

Speaker 2 (13:42):
Let us keep trying to hit it, like what is
number may Elm Street?

Speaker 6 (13:46):
Okay?

Speaker 4 (13:47):
Ye?

Speaker 6 (13:48):
Number elk Street is number three. Scream is number four.

Speaker 4 (13:53):
Jack, I'm going to go with night Mary on Elm Street.
I'm going to go with Saw before Yeah, oh Texas
Chainsaw massacre.

Speaker 6 (14:08):
Yep, number six, going to throw one? Well done? Saw
his number five and there's two left?

Speaker 5 (14:15):
Have we done? Number two?

Speaker 6 (14:17):
Yep was Friday thirteenth.

Speaker 2 (14:18):
So which physicians are we missing?

Speaker 6 (14:20):
We're you missing? We need number five and number seven?

Speaker 2 (14:22):
Why don't you?

Speaker 6 (14:24):
Number five is sore? Number seven. It's got to do
with a doll, Child's play.

Speaker 2 (14:31):
Child's play?

Speaker 5 (14:32):
Is that just one movie.

Speaker 4 (14:34):
Look at you.

Speaker 5 (14:36):
Four movie, because you need ones.

Speaker 6 (14:37):
That Chucky's Pride.

Speaker 3 (14:40):
Because the exorsus ones like that, they're just single movies
then not going to make it.

Speaker 4 (14:46):
Surprise, like, yeah, there's like paranormal activity and if all those.

Speaker 2 (14:49):
Paranormal activity if I'm not correct, if I'm not wrong,
I'm pretty sure that's the highest I thought that was
the highest grossing individual movie. Maybe you're think franchise it
is because it cost them something like twenty thousand to
make Paranormal Activities. Because all they did was like they
just had like CCTV footage.

Speaker 4 (15:10):
I was like, yeah, it's like mockumentary. That wasn't documentary.
It was like a serious documentary style for.

Speaker 6 (15:15):
The horror movie.

Speaker 5 (15:16):
Wasn't it fake in the end?

Speaker 4 (15:18):
Yeah, well it's a movie.

Speaker 2 (15:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (15:21):
The most that they centered originally as a documentary as
it was factual.

Speaker 5 (15:24):
Is that true?

Speaker 4 (15:25):
No?

Speaker 2 (15:25):
No, No, I'm pretty sure it was all it was
just set like a documentary.

Speaker 6 (15:28):
Other last just.

Speaker 1 (15:29):
About the most profitable movie of all time as far
as money put in.

Speaker 6 (15:34):
You know, if you multiply is Blair Witch Project Project.
It costs something like thirty thousand dollars.

Speaker 3 (15:40):
Another one of those your bloody joking.

Speaker 5 (15:44):
Filming on the go, Can.

Speaker 3 (15:47):
I just say something, if we were going to make
a horror movie, what sort of theme would you go with?

Speaker 4 (15:55):
That's a good that's a good question, Trichy. You know
what I'd do, Trisy. I'd go with like eighties stole
zombie movies, the ones where they're actually like kind of
like not like coming at you like they do these days,
Like the slow moving, slow death sort of zombie movies.

Speaker 6 (16:09):
I like them.

Speaker 3 (16:10):
I think i'd do something with the clown or like
a circus around a circus. Yeah, I do something around
a circus, yeah, because they're kind of I don't know,
they're kind of scary and the people involved can be scary.

Speaker 2 (16:22):
I would I reckon I go one of like I
don't know if you guys ever seen the Hills have Eyes?
Oh yeah, But I kind of go along the avenue
of more of like a you're on your breakdown somewhere
where there's no nothing around and you're looking and then
like you know what I mean, that's I'd go that
route more isolated because that's more realistic to me. I'd
like that's a fear of mind, like to be isolated

(16:43):
with nothing around have to try to get.

Speaker 5 (16:45):
Back that moves onto my greatest fears.

Speaker 1 (16:49):
I'd make a movie that have a bit of suspense,
but it's just more to the point where you put
people a person's situation where you're watching going imagine if
that was I and a couple of these is his
number one is Hannibal Lector in that movie where he
gets the guard and he changed the guard up and
he's standing looking and that guard knows he's about to
be eaten. Saw movies and things like that where they

(17:10):
know And that terrifying thing in the Ed Green One
Jack was when they go to ted Bundy and he's
got the two women he's abducted and he's working out
which one he's going to murder first, and he pieces
the one. I'm gonna murder you first, but don't worry,
you're going to watch it.

Speaker 6 (17:25):
I'm going to do you after my dear sweet Jesus.

Speaker 1 (17:31):
So if you make out a horror movie, don't work
up to the line. Start at the line that is.

Speaker 6 (17:37):
Basically inappropriate and moves slightly backwards. That's what I do.

Speaker 4 (17:41):
That's very technical.

Speaker 5 (17:44):
I thought about that. That's concerning anyway.

Speaker 4 (17:46):
I do flash to the scene in the well in
Signs of the Lambs where the girl and Precious stuck
in the well. Yeah, I do. I get freaked out
by that.

Speaker 5 (17:56):
I like that.

Speaker 4 (17:57):
I think it's funny.

Speaker 5 (17:59):
Of the Lambs doesn't.

Speaker 4 (18:00):
But when you get in the actual like, like you
start thinking if you're actually in that world, that makes
me freak out.

Speaker 6 (18:06):
It does.

Speaker 4 (18:06):
Yeah, we've got nowhere to go, and this this blokes will.

Speaker 2 (18:09):
Yeah, and he's like tucking's generals between his legs and dancing.

Speaker 1 (18:13):
Entertaining and swear you spare a thought for sweet Migsy
to wonder what is doing these days?

Speaker 6 (18:20):
Yeah, the one where he walks past.

Speaker 1 (18:21):
He's the guy in the next cell to Hannibal Lecter
when Jodie Foster's character Clarice goes and interviews him for.

Speaker 6 (18:28):
The first time. And is that Charles Man seeing looking
character in.

Speaker 1 (18:32):
The next cell and he does something quite inappropriate?

Speaker 6 (18:36):
Oh yeah, I can't remember it flicks.

Speaker 2 (18:39):
It's a fair Yeah, we can edit that through.

Speaker 1 (18:44):
Of course for people on YouTube you won't see that.
For people that are audio, I did something highly inappropriate.

Speaker 2 (18:51):
Does anybody have real like a real fit, like either
you have a phobia or the scariest experience that you've
ever had in your life.

Speaker 3 (18:58):
My scariest still to this day, care of Matthew John's
was he took me on the zipper at the Newcastle
Bloody Show in nineteen ninety six. It was scary, and
you tell the story, Matt, and I still have the backpack.

Speaker 5 (19:12):
I had a little bag and I had to put
her on the front because I was.

Speaker 3 (19:15):
Sitting in the thing and I bit into it and
it still has the teethmark in it.

Speaker 5 (19:20):
And I got off and vomited.

Speaker 3 (19:22):
And the one thing I said to Matt was because
he's going, I'm really sorry, I'm really sorry, and I went,
just remind me when I'm in labor that nothing is
as bad as this zipper.

Speaker 5 (19:33):
Right, yes, but there was a little avent.

Speaker 1 (19:35):
What the app The thing that happened was, as these
people are getting.

Speaker 5 (19:40):
Off the zipper and we're lining up to go, and.

Speaker 1 (19:45):
We're lining up to get on, the people who got
out said I think there's a problem with this carriage.
Every time it's spun, it was like it was going
to just come off the door and the bike went,
oh right, okay, we'll have a look at that.

Speaker 6 (19:56):
He puts puts.

Speaker 1 (19:58):
Us in the carriage and then shuts it and says
to a bloke, Oh, mate, the people in the here before, reckon,
this one's a little.

Speaker 6 (20:05):
Loose, right.

Speaker 1 (20:06):
The guy gets a guy looks and goes ideas a
little bit run this one and then we'll fix it after,
I swear to God.

Speaker 6 (20:13):
Which wound? Fucking what?

Speaker 3 (20:15):
So every time you were upside down or facing the ground,
because you hold onto the bar that's.

Speaker 6 (20:20):
On the on the outside, on that on the.

Speaker 5 (20:23):
Door, so and it's supposed to be fixed, it kept dropping.

Speaker 6 (20:27):
Yeah. Oh, as we're at the top spin down. As
the carriage would roll forward, the whole thing would shift forward. Yeah, yeah, horrible.
Well you under the blade crying.

Speaker 2 (20:39):
And that's the scariest istien you ever had, even like fear.
You never feared being abducted or anything like that.

Speaker 6 (20:45):
No, oh, coeps yours.

Speaker 2 (20:48):
I remember once Now this was this was a rough
night for me, And it wasn't the jail that I
was talking about the other night. I remember. It was
in the Sunshine Coast twenty twenty one. I I got
out of the man at, I got out of our
hub and went and stayed with my girlfriend at the
time at her house. She lived up there, yes, and

(21:09):
the electricity cut out and a car sat out the front.
This is at about midnight, and then there was this
We were like, oh, I wonder why the electricity's going out,
and we looked and there was just a car that
was sitting at the front, and then someone in it
and then yeah, the lights are on, and then it drove off.
And then she started getting calls off no call or
ID and was someone breathing and then we thought, oh,
that's weird, like either we thought it was one of

(21:30):
her friends, maybe pranking or something. And then it rang
me and started breathing to me, and then it was
texting her saying like come downstairs and all this shit
and it was so random. And then we'd rang like
we couldn't rang us. Yeah, And I was like, there's
some weird shit going on at this house. None of
the electricity would going I've never thought like I thought

(21:52):
I was about to die. There was a serious thought
of me about to die, and I was trying to
be tough like that, it's all good. And then there
was one there was at one stage, I'm not proud
to say it, I said let's let's go hide in
the closet because because if if the home invader comes in,
they're not going to look for us in there.

Speaker 6 (22:11):
Place.

Speaker 2 (22:12):
And then we were just standing we like we brought
the bed, like the mattress and stuff into the walking
closet and we slept in there. And it was now
in hindsight, I was like, oh, but.

Speaker 5 (22:23):
Did you think about calling the police?

Speaker 6 (22:25):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (22:26):
Nah, because I thought that's going to be an overreaction
and I thought, imagine what the boys would say if
they found out I rang the police.

Speaker 4 (22:33):
And it was also like COVID bubble time too.

Speaker 5 (22:36):
Yeah, well you're not meant to be out.

Speaker 2 (22:37):
Imagine I wasn't actually supposed to leave the hub, but
I remember I said to the COVID like I explained
that she was there on her own and like it
was a half an hour driveway, and they said, i'd.

Speaker 5 (22:48):
Just like you and you're in Queensland. So there wasn't
actually that.

Speaker 2 (22:51):
Yeah, it was a bit looser there. So technically I
was I wasn't allowed to leave in the NRL rules,
but in the law I was fined alone. So I
just you, guys, I'm a bit of a rebel and
ship ima.

Speaker 1 (23:02):
If you're in the cabin you in the cabin heat
and the invader comes in open the cabin and go,
oh god, you beat me to it, guys, that's where
I was going to hide.

Speaker 6 (23:09):
And I'll ert you guys, alarm you, guys. Jack.

Speaker 2 (23:13):
At what point, at what point did you when you
were saying that, did you realize this.

Speaker 5 (23:16):
Is going nowhere?

Speaker 6 (23:17):
Nowhere where no one laughed.

Speaker 4 (23:21):
For me? Too many scary experiences I did.

Speaker 2 (23:27):
I did.

Speaker 4 (23:28):
We went to the Easter Show a few years back,
a number of years back, and did that Remember that
Hollywood Horrors coupe, the Haunted walk through House. They do
it now, so they do it a few places now,
But it is and it's just like all the horror
franchise people in there just getting ready to jump scale
all the time, and the anticipation of them being in there,

(23:49):
like no matter how prepared you are, like it's so dark,
and they just like they don't hold back, like they
come at you like they're going to attack you.

Speaker 2 (23:56):
Yeah, there's at the end, there's like a bloke with
a chainsaw and the chains taken out so if it
hits you, like it's blunt, but he comes hard at
you and chases.

Speaker 4 (24:05):
Be like six six to it's.

Speaker 2 (24:07):
Leather Face from Texas Chainsaw mass and he chases you
and if you because I did the ones in when
I was in America a couple years ago. I was
there in October and at Universal Studios at night they
do it at seven pm when the son goes down.
They do all these horror houses. So there's a Chucky one,
there's a Chainsaw Massacre one. There's all these themed houses.
There was like a Stranger Things was big at the time,

(24:29):
that TV series, So there's a Stranger Things house and
that was frightening, like I remember at once like I
was actually fine. They kind of let people one like
go in at a time in their groups where they
hold people. So there's a large distance between you and
I found myself in the Chucky House running to get
closer to the people in front of me. So I
would like not be the one that got scared.

Speaker 3 (24:49):
Well, Couid, do you remember the walkthrough that you and
I did in the Haunted House in Universal in La Yeah,
and I froze, I couldn't walk any further.

Speaker 2 (24:57):
You're we yourself now?

Speaker 5 (24:58):
Why didn't we myself?

Speaker 3 (25:00):
And when I told one of my girlfriends, she said,
oh my god, sh I've been in at Its terrifying
as she had wet herself.

Speaker 6 (25:06):
Yeah, and she always won.

Speaker 2 (25:11):
She stopped.

Speaker 4 (25:12):
I couldn't and they had to.

Speaker 2 (25:14):
They basically stopped the house. She was screaming. She was like, oh,
and then the guy who like who popped out the scare.
I hit a mask on her. He ended up taking
the mask off and like just like didn't know what
to do and then had to walk mum to the
emergency exit.

Speaker 5 (25:27):
I did I just throw I froze a killer with
a content. I couldn't leave my feet.

Speaker 6 (25:31):
He was like the screamer.

Speaker 2 (25:33):
Yeah, he was like, you know what's fake?

Speaker 5 (25:34):
But you know you're right, Jack. It's the anticipation, yes,
because you know the worst bit of fear.

Speaker 4 (25:41):
It's like you know they're coming at you, but you
don't know like what level they're coming at you. You
don't know, like and it's all misty in there. And
then you got like that adrenaline because if one gets
you at like compounds because you start sort of moving
a bit quicker, then you start running and by the end,
once old mate with the chainsaw comes out, you honestly
you are sprinting out of there.

Speaker 1 (26:02):
Yeah, do you think about it. The brain would take
a certain amount of time to adjust. The brain I
think in your natural instinct would be to think it's
exactly that, it's a serious situation.

Speaker 2 (26:15):
Yeah, and you're adrenaline first that first second when someone
pops out of you like where you don't your brain
reacts before you actually consciously know it's fake. So there
is that second of jump scare, but obviously you know
going through you're not going to get hurt. But it
doesn't stop you from having that massive It's like in
a movie when you're in a movie and body Jason
pops out of the closet and he's got a machete. Yeah,

(26:38):
and he's got one of them. You still you still
get scared.

Speaker 1 (26:41):
I was thirty and I've got dragged out of the
ghost train, but not is this your no, no, no,
A seriously scary, scary one that I don't ever told
you it's about.

Speaker 6 (26:50):
I was just sitting there and I thought, what's the situation.
I can't believe I've been told you this story?

Speaker 5 (26:55):
Got a story we haven't heard, guys.

Speaker 1 (26:57):
I don't think, well you've heard bits of it. But
in ninety four we were away in our interview trip
to Darwin anyway. You know, it's like when you interview trip.
We get about seven or eight days. What else can
we do rather than just sit around the pool and drink?
So we said, right, we hopped in the car.

Speaker 6 (27:13):
It was like you know what those buggy type cars,
and you know, we hopped and we drove. We just
started driving it. Anyway, there was.

Speaker 1 (27:19):
Myself, Adam Muir, Steve Crowe and Billy Pedon. Right, So
we're cruise and next but we find ourselves about forty
minutes outside of Darwin in this.

Speaker 6 (27:28):
Sort of rural country area or farmland around.

Speaker 1 (27:31):
So we looked there and there's a pub, just small
pub there. I said, okay, let let's call in. So
we walk in. Anyway, there's two or three people there,
and one of the blokes at the bar is fucking massive,
like massive, like you know, really big thick set farmer
like you six to three the rally thick set. So

(27:51):
we get there anyway, he's sitting in the bar and
he's drinking away and he starts talking to the guy
behind the bar and sort of laughing at us. We're
playing pool and crow. He's got roof sandals on and
he's going fucking what are they? Next minute, he didn't
like his sandals.

Speaker 6 (28:05):
You just didn't like us, like it was literally like
a cowboy.

Speaker 5 (28:08):
How was it?

Speaker 6 (28:09):
I don't know, but but it's like, you know, strangers arrived,
be in the forties. Next minute, another.

Speaker 1 (28:15):
Bloke arrived, another bloke arrived, all these mass, massive blakes,
and they're all standing around, and it just dawned on us. Mate,
they're going to fucking they're going to flog us here.

Speaker 6 (28:26):
This is going to happen.

Speaker 1 (28:26):
So we we're knocking around. I said, boys, as soon
as they take their eyes off a little bit, let's
just fucking scarlets. We can't say anyway, we get there,
we're all sitting there. We look over and they start
chatting on these we just got bang.

Speaker 6 (28:38):
We're helping the car. We take off. They take off
after us.

Speaker 2 (28:41):
Oh, they followed it.

Speaker 6 (28:42):
They followed us.

Speaker 1 (28:42):
So we're hooting down the road. They're flying, they're flying
behigh us after about probably five six minutes and up
just turning around, probably.

Speaker 6 (28:49):
Getting too close to civilization. Civilization.

Speaker 1 (28:54):
As we're about you know, Nelly backing, Darwin, Billy goes, fuck,
I've left my wallop back that I don't care. It
was almost like that sideways soon you know, anyway.

Speaker 5 (29:04):
You didn't go back.

Speaker 6 (29:06):
We did.

Speaker 1 (29:07):
So we got to go back because he's like, mate,
they'll know where I live and they'll not. So he said,
I said where was it, mate? I put it just
the side of the bill table.

Speaker 6 (29:16):
Fuck.

Speaker 1 (29:16):
Okay, So all that was scary, but this next bit
is the scariest. We drove right out to the side
of the pub really quietly, bang and waited, and Billy
just ran in, grabbed it, ran out. They followed us
again just about the same amount of time, but once
again turned and spun and went back.

Speaker 6 (29:35):
That whole experience was so scary.

Speaker 3 (29:36):
The only thing that could have made that worse is
if you'd run out of fuel, and knowing you at
that time, you could have possibly.

Speaker 4 (29:43):
In fairness, though Scrowey was wearing sandals.

Speaker 2 (29:49):
I was going to say, if there's ever excuse to
be flogged in Darwin by a bunch of country farmers,
it's because he had reef sandals on. What was he thinking?

Speaker 6 (29:58):
Mate? What actually later on we found out was v
who was standing there.

Speaker 2 (30:02):
So it was it literally was a crime to fashion.
Maybe they came to a rest crow.

Speaker 1 (30:06):
I mean for us, they are a darling pair of sandals,
crime against fashion?

Speaker 2 (30:10):
And what was the sarci doing in country Darwin?

Speaker 4 (30:16):
Yeah, he read his best beer, best beer in the world,
taps clear as the whistle.

Speaker 5 (30:21):
So, guys, what is your greatest fear? So you told
us about you phobias, anything, What you are most afraid of?

Speaker 4 (30:28):
On spiders? You know? Yeah, everyone knows that.

Speaker 6 (30:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (30:31):
I can't even watch the freaking Harry Potter scene with
those giant spiders.

Speaker 2 (30:35):
Jack eased to and remember a couple of fears coind
of mind for Jackie the spiders because whenever we'd play
footy in the front yard and the ball would go
into the garden when we were growing up, Jack wouldn't
refuse to get it. We just refuse to go into
a bush. I don't reckon you went into a bush
until you were seventeen.

Speaker 4 (30:53):
There's a joke here, I don't know how to execute it.

Speaker 6 (30:58):
Don't say it. It's a family pot cast.

Speaker 2 (31:01):
Oh yeah, and then you remember yet you're so used
to have a fear of knives.

Speaker 4 (31:06):
No, no, I think I sort of agree out of it.
But I wasn't a fear of knives. I don't like
I didn't like it. My mates always us to address it.
I didn't like sharp objects like dead in between my eyes,
like coming at me in between my which I think
is barely anyway.

Speaker 2 (31:21):
So if you like, if you pointed a knife for
Jack like that, like you're almost you were pointing a
Harry Potter wand at him, he would like his eyes
would like close.

Speaker 4 (31:31):
And it was weird, like I reckon. I'd get like
a little six cents like I reckon, you know how
copper yet really weird about your neck touching neck. I
used to get like this sixth sense, like I reckon.
I was shot between the eyes.

Speaker 6 (31:41):
In a past life, right, let's hope not with a.

Speaker 2 (31:44):
Nail gouing mine's heights. I would say probably I never
used to be, but I've gradually gotten more. Like I
remember I was on the Empire State building. I can't
I couldn't go to the edge. I was getting what
do you call it, like verdigo, and I lose my
legs and I like fell over. Yeah, I remember I
fell down the stairs at this nightclub one night because

(32:04):
I looked over the edge and we were like six
stories up and I was well hydrated, but I got
vertigo and fell and I slid down the stairs like
two flights, Like I just really slowly, Like I wasn't hurt,
but I was just like froze up.

Speaker 6 (32:18):
It is.

Speaker 1 (32:18):
It is terrifying sometimes when you're Sometimes you get up
on those massive buildings and like you might throw a
bit of paper off and you for a second take
the feeling of the paper going.

Speaker 6 (32:29):
That always makes me almost be sick.

Speaker 2 (32:31):
You know what scares what really scares me is when
you're on like a you're trying to get a picture
of a view and you sort of put your phone
out to a level where if you drop it, you
know it's gone. Oh that is I reckon. Between that
and fear of letting my friends and family down, they're
probably my two fears.

Speaker 6 (32:47):
I mean, wow, you're just redeem yourself.

Speaker 2 (32:50):
Failure as well. Fear of failure is probably.

Speaker 4 (32:53):
The biggest one.

Speaker 5 (32:54):
I do have that innately.

Speaker 1 (32:55):
But my great fear would be being locked into a
small room room with the giant python just watching. You know,
those python's got a massive head so it could literally
bite you.

Speaker 5 (33:07):
And then about a big room.

Speaker 1 (33:09):
Look, guys, I just said, plus fa you'll be a
big room.

Speaker 6 (33:14):
Small rooms. The thing is, it's.

Speaker 5 (33:16):
Okay, do you want to know?

Speaker 2 (33:18):
Because they used to get you like this. The snakes
gag on you. It's been run into the ground, hasn't
it scares?

Speaker 1 (33:25):
Was they got me a triple amb and sidy? But
side show who does a lot of the promos, and
he is terrific blake, he said made Can you come
into the recording booth? We just could lay down this ad. Yeah,
he's another booth and he's talking to me through the
and I go, Yeah. As I'm there, I just get
this feeling I'm being set up. As I turn around,

(33:46):
MG has got this like sack and just goes in
a little recording booth just throws a snake in there,
a decent sized sake.

Speaker 2 (33:55):
What do you think? What do you think the fear
of it comes from?

Speaker 3 (34:00):
Is it being bitten? Is it the feeling of them?
Because they feel incredible?

Speaker 5 (34:05):
What the first time I felt that? Wow, they are incredible.
They feel amazing.

Speaker 6 (34:10):
Yeah, I don't know where it comes from.

Speaker 4 (34:13):
I've never heard someone refer to them as feeling amazing.

Speaker 2 (34:15):
They do. But when you feel the scales of a snake,
they are amazing. When you touch a dolphin, that's a
great feeling. Have you ever touched. They ever bought a
hot dog and don't put sauce on it, and you
touch the wet Frankfort, that's the feeling of a dolphin.
Wet Frankfort is a dolphin.

Speaker 1 (34:32):
That that what you just said is very seriical like
it is.

Speaker 2 (34:38):
But I'm saying like, that's the I heard someone say
it the other day, Like when you describe an analogy
between two feelings, the closest thing to a dolphin is
a wet Frankfurt.

Speaker 5 (34:48):
Do you mean you cook Frankfurt?

Speaker 1 (34:51):
Maybe you're onto something because the traditional thought is that
hot dogs basically are full of mouths and assholes.

Speaker 6 (34:57):
Maybe there's some dolphin.

Speaker 3 (34:58):
No, let's just clarify or the children at home. No no, no, no, no, no,
frankfurts are not dolphins.

Speaker 2 (35:04):
No no, no, sorry. But the meat that they use for frankfurts,
it's like the left over me.

Speaker 6 (35:09):
I don't think it's a dog.

Speaker 3 (35:12):
Does anyone care about what my greatest fear is?

Speaker 5 (35:16):
My greatest fear is being alone. So look, I'm just I'm.

Speaker 3 (35:24):
Just safer, like I feel safety with some So even
if I'm in a dangerous situation.

Speaker 2 (35:30):
You don't mean like alone in life?

Speaker 3 (35:31):
You know, not alone in life, just alone, Like if
it's the end of the world, being the last person,
I'd like it. Like if we're in danger, whether it's
in the ocean, on a boat, you know, being chased
or attacked or whatever, on the.

Speaker 5 (35:49):
With someone else, I find solace in that.

Speaker 4 (35:53):
What's your thoughts? And I am legendary? W that be
a horrible situation for you. Well he had the dog
at least, so dogs count.

Speaker 5 (35:59):
Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, but.

Speaker 2 (36:01):
That was a German shepherd.

Speaker 6 (36:03):
It was. That was a horrible scene.

Speaker 1 (36:04):
I can't watch that movie for the thought of that
scene coming or it just happened.

Speaker 5 (36:09):
Oh yeah, any animals?

Speaker 1 (36:11):
I mean, are we going to do impersonation? I mean
we're on this, yeah, impersonation of our favorite movie line.

Speaker 5 (36:16):
Okay, what one are you drinking? Yeah, you go first,
let us we can get you.

Speaker 4 (36:22):
Try to pick with this if you're just going to
do d again again?

Speaker 3 (36:26):
Ok No, I don't know who that is.

Speaker 6 (36:35):
Mick Taylor Wolf Creek. That is terrifying.

Speaker 1 (36:40):
Where you get those young English backpackers and never one
od a fuel. They're sitting around the campfire. He's giving
them a drink, something to eat, and all of a sudden,
they're going, oh, this guy is pretty good. It's a
little strange, and then one of the then then the
young guy just says something and Mick Taylor goes.

Speaker 2 (36:56):
And they go, oh, ye wolf cree, why one would
be And I'm having I'll have to let you go
because I'm having an old friend for lunch.

Speaker 4 (37:06):
With some father beans and.

Speaker 5 (37:13):
A red did an Italian red?

Speaker 2 (37:15):
Is it like a heavier than a peanut?

Speaker 5 (37:16):
No, it's quite light.

Speaker 2 (37:17):
Oh good, delicious, And I wonder he wanted to have.

Speaker 6 (37:21):
Just wonderfully.

Speaker 2 (37:23):
I'm not much of a lunch red guy. I know
Hannibal is a sick man, so I wouldn't compare myself
to But I would rather have a County Kyanti for dinner.
I'm more of a dinner red with a pasta.

Speaker 5 (37:39):
Yeah, you're true. I mean traditionally go to the pasta,
the heavy of food, the meat, the meat.

Speaker 4 (37:46):
Okay, thanks, Oh yeah, I'll go on here. You're ready?
Three to one Michael Myers, Yes, silent, deadly. You could
feel it through the like.

Speaker 5 (38:00):
Yes, I didn't get that because he doesn't talk.

Speaker 2 (38:03):
Just took the easiest possible rout he could.

Speaker 6 (38:06):
That's suddenly of it.

Speaker 5 (38:07):
Okay, I guess mine. They're here.

Speaker 6 (38:14):
It's here's Johnny. Oh no, it's sixth sense.

Speaker 2 (38:19):
No, said again, they're here.

Speaker 5 (38:22):
There here that Yeah, that's the little.

Speaker 4 (38:25):
Girls in front of the TV.

Speaker 5 (38:30):
Yeah, it goes right, and here's Johnny.

Speaker 6 (38:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (38:35):
Wow, I didn't know. I didn't know scuby Do was
here to do impersonation for us today. How good.

Speaker 5 (38:44):
I'll go a few other I see dead People.

Speaker 2 (38:49):
Sixth Sense not a scary movie.

Speaker 5 (38:52):
Be afraid, be very afraid.

Speaker 2 (38:55):
That's very broad shorts, sneaker.

Speaker 5 (38:57):
That's the fly. You guys probably wouldn't have even seen it.
The power of Christ compelled you.

Speaker 4 (39:02):
Sorry to our listeners out there, blew my headphones off.

Speaker 5 (39:06):
Did you get that one?

Speaker 1 (39:07):
Exorsus, Yes, yes, Gold silver brons for Greatest Film Fame
of Vinyl, Gold Silver Bronze, Greatest Horror Characters.

Speaker 3 (39:18):
Okay, I've gone penny Wise, the clown.

Speaker 2 (39:23):
Penny Wise, Jackie the doll. Oh yeah, you reckon, he's
the greatest.

Speaker 5 (39:28):
No, no, no, they're just my top best carriage.

Speaker 3 (39:30):
I don't like dolls and clowns that are evil because
they're children, like they're representative of children. So I find
that quite disturbing and My number one is Hannibal Elector.

Speaker 2 (39:41):
All right. My bronze was Freddy Krueger. I think any
man that enters dreams is very frightening because you can't
control it. And one thing you can't do is you
know what I mean, Jason, and that you just don't
go down to the creek where he lives. Absolutely Freddy Krueger.
Everyone's got to sleep because if you don't sleep from
I think it's five days die something like that.

Speaker 1 (40:01):
If I'm going to go into a I'm going into
a horror movie set number one, I'm going to lose
some weight.

Speaker 6 (40:05):
Number two, I'm going to keep my mouth shut because
it's always the fat, the fat, loud mouth.

Speaker 2 (40:11):
Always always all the blonde woman. They always kill the blonde,
good looking woman at it's always the hero always Silver
for me was Hannibal Lecter gold our Man, Buffalo Bill.
I think that is what a sinister man.

Speaker 6 (40:28):
Jame Gum.

Speaker 2 (40:29):
Yeah, any man that cuts skin off and skin sticks
to himself, that's a sick.

Speaker 5 (40:35):
Yeah doodle between his legs.

Speaker 1 (40:38):
And I am thinking we're in a human skin suit
to Sarah's wedding, so anyway.

Speaker 2 (40:43):
Yeah, we're going to get actually, yeah, go through your
list first, I want to bring that up with you.

Speaker 4 (40:47):
I've gone with my bronze. Sorry, my bronze is Hannibal Lecter.
I love him. He is the greatest. Number two, I've
gone with Frankenstein. I just think Frankenstein's there's a movie,
but I think he's just a guy. Actually, some one
of the first books I actually ever read, front of
the front to end was Frankenstein, the Old School one

(41:07):
picture book. Maybe my number one is, of course The
Great Count Dracula, Countain Victor Anthony Minicello.

Speaker 2 (41:19):
Take about there.

Speaker 6 (41:20):
It is Dad, Yours, Lady and Paler. I've gone bronze.

Speaker 1 (41:25):
Freddy Krueger Coop, you know, interviewed him on Triple and
on the character who played Freddy Krueger, and I said
to him, did you feel do you feel like you're
playing that Freddy Krueger?

Speaker 4 (41:34):
Ol?

Speaker 1 (41:34):
Did it type cast you? And he paused and went, no,
I've been in heaps of good movies.

Speaker 6 (41:43):
Yeah. My number two was the Shark in Jaws.

Speaker 1 (41:48):
The Shark, yeah, brilliantly done by Stielberg. And the fact
that originally they're going to show the shark in the
first scene, and then because there was technical difficulties just
held off. He actually made the movie. Not knowing what
the shark looked like, made the shark so much scare out.
My number one is Mick Taylor of Wolf Creek, who

(42:11):
made as a hybrid with Ivan Mallatt in mind, and
also Bradley Murdoch, who was the Peter Falconio murder they're saying,
and which the reason was that was delayed That movie
Wolf Creek wasn't showed for about three or four months
after in Bothy Territory.

Speaker 2 (42:27):
Oh really yeah, is that where he was most prominent.

Speaker 1 (42:30):
Yes, yeah, that's Bradley Murdoch. And can I give you
one more story in that a little bit chilling?

Speaker 6 (42:37):
Just go.

Speaker 1 (42:37):
When we did The Final Winner with Johnny Jarrett, who
played Mick Taylor, he said to me names now, boys,
when you do a character, no matter how small it is,
you need to write at least twenty pages on the
backstory of that character so you know him inside out.
And I said, okay, what was the backstory on Mick Taylor?
And he said a few things. He goes, mate, but

(42:58):
I'll give you the thing that turned him. He went
to the pub one day and he was having a beer.
He was having a beer with a mate and he
said it just started to become popular in the area
for people going down for the Opal mining. And his
mate went, what about all these pome tourists Phoenix and
someone should shoot them because that's you know yeah, And Mick.

Speaker 6 (43:15):
Taylor went, you know what someone should ah So that
he wrote.

Speaker 5 (43:20):
That as personal story for his character that he was playing.

Speaker 2 (43:25):
Yes, Wow, that's pretty creative. That is because I remember
I've got infatuated when I was younger with lots of
different things. The Illuminati was one of them. Remember how
interested I was in the Illuminati when I was younger. Yeah,
conspiracy theory. Still, I fell in love like with how
Heath Ledger became the Joker, and like the idea of

(43:47):
how he locked himself in the hotel room as the
Joker and kept a diary. There's actually pictures on mine
of like some of the stuff he used to write down.
He's just to write down like kill, kill, Kill, like
thousands of times over and over in a diary. And
I think ultimately it sort of led to a lot
of issues going in after. But I find that real
method acting quite such an interesting thing.

Speaker 1 (44:08):
And Christian Bale fell out on the movie because because
he's I mean, Christian Bale is a method actor, but
he's Ledger refused to get out of character with the Joker.
And apparently once they're having lunch on the set and
Christian and Christian Bale was sitting there talking to some
of the crew and he's led You just sat to
the side just as the Joker just laughing at him,

(44:29):
and he kept going, stop it, man, stop it, and.

Speaker 6 (44:31):
We'll do it. They end up getting in to a fight.
Christian Bale like threw him, threw him over.

Speaker 1 (44:37):
A couple of tables and stuff like that. You just
got up and kept laughing. They said it was terrifying
on set.

Speaker 4 (44:43):
How I feel like that might have been caught on camera?
And Cobb, I don't know if isn't that part of
the scene.

Speaker 5 (44:48):
It's exactly part of the I've seen it.

Speaker 6 (44:51):
It's legitimate.

Speaker 2 (44:52):
Well that's pretty crazy.

Speaker 5 (44:54):
Maybe they added it after the thought. Do you have
a quiz?

Speaker 2 (44:56):
I got a little quiz when I tease out. Yeah,
and I'll ask everyone one favor. Right, let me do this.
Let's lift the energy levels are because remember what I
said to you last night?

Speaker 5 (45:06):
Yes, remember what we got a chatter we got chatted.

Speaker 2 (45:09):
What did I say?

Speaker 3 (45:10):
You said, If you guys don't bring this level of
energy to the pot tomorrow, I'm going to be really
pissed off.

Speaker 2 (45:16):
I've never seen how like Dad and you be, and
even Jack to an extent, be so funny and energetic.
And I said, let's get this energy in the party tomorrow.
And then Dad method act to Dama, and now he's
You've literally had the energy of Dama this whole podcast.
You've been looking every time I look across you make
this weird eye contact with me, and I'm like, what
the hell are you looking at?

Speaker 4 (45:35):
In fairness, he's looking over you normal.

Speaker 2 (45:40):
Yeah, sure, A good point. Okay, So I'm going to
give you a character you can all try to guess.
This is how many victims. These are fictional characters for
the kids out there. Yes, the first one is Norman
Dates from Psycho. So whoever's you guys can lock in
different answers close as one gets it.

Speaker 5 (45:56):
We say one one.

Speaker 4 (45:58):
I'm going to go with I'm gonna go with eight.

Speaker 6 (46:01):
I'm going four.

Speaker 2 (46:03):
Jack your closest he had sixteen.

Speaker 4 (46:04):
Normally I didn't quite.

Speaker 2 (46:06):
An isolated, socially awkward individual.

Speaker 6 (46:09):
He was a master killer.

Speaker 3 (46:13):
Why why they always associated with mummy issues.

Speaker 4 (46:19):
Yeah, it's on Mine Hunters. Actually talk about that on
mine Hunters. If anyone recommendation anyone that's actually on Netflix.
It's still there. There's only two seasons of it, but
it's been people are calling for it to come back.
It follows like the FBI opening there, Like they're part
of the section of the FBI that you know does
like works on serial killers and I'm like the psychology

(46:40):
of them and stuff like that, and they go and
sort of stuff. They go and interview them and like
it's just a series about the interview process, and my god,
it's a good series.

Speaker 5 (46:47):
They talk about like what's it called again, Mine Hunter.

Speaker 4 (46:49):
Mine Hunters. So give that a go for listeners watchers.
Very like gold Hunters on it's like Copal Hunters. Yeah,
accept as people and lots of dead livers.

Speaker 2 (46:59):
The candy Man and he's a he's a movie carried
not the bloke on the Gold Coast, not that sort
of volity. No no, no, he's like that bachelor on
the Gold Coast. But the candy Man. Have a guess,
just any guess.

Speaker 6 (47:14):
I'll say twenty I'll say twenty eight I'm say fifteen.

Speaker 2 (47:17):

candy Man, can man care? Hannibal Letter, Oh.

Speaker 6 (47:27):
Oh yeah, Hannibal. You know, Hannibal Lecter. I'm going to
say I'm going to say six because they don't have
killed that many, but the ones he killed maybe eate
the root to.

Speaker 3 (47:37):
The fruit he did well, you know, remember he killed
a couple of guards on the way too.

Speaker 5 (47:41):
I'm going to say twelve.

Speaker 4 (47:43):
Right, Well, if he's on eight twelve, I'm one up
your thirteen to get closest.

Speaker 2 (47:46):
Koper, Well, it's forty one there. I mean, he's got
to eat right, hungry dogs a jump.

Speaker 4 (47:55):
I don't know if that's never been associated with.

Speaker 2 (47:57):
What about the Invisible Man? Whole horror film from nineteen
thirty three, The Invisible and he was completely invisible.

Speaker 6 (48:03):
I am the Invisible Man.

Speaker 5 (48:05):
I'm going to say five.

Speaker 4 (48:08):
I'll go with thirty.

Speaker 1 (48:09):

say in the seventy.

Speaker 2 (48:14):
One hundred and twenty two The Invisible try to kill it.
What about Michael Meyers?

Speaker 5 (48:18):
Oh, hey, what character?

Speaker 4 (48:21):
It is Halloween?

Speaker 2 (48:22):
Halloween? Yeah, so every.

Speaker 1 (48:24):
Halloween is out Michael Myers and the Killer, not Mike Myers,
Austin Powers.

Speaker 2 (48:28):
Exactly, No, No, I have, I have.

Speaker 6 (48:32):

Speaker 2 (48:40):
I'm going to say sixty, one hundred and sixty.

Speaker 6 (48:44):
He just keeps knocking them off.

Speaker 3 (48:47):
What would be worth someone else chan being cast into
a movie like I feel really disappointed for some actors
and actresses.

Speaker 5 (48:53):
Finally they'll get a gig. They go, yes, I've got this.
What are you doing? Oh I'm the murder victim? So
you know, actually I would love you either on a
slab the whole time, not with a word, or a
very short appearance.

Speaker 4 (49:05):
I should got a question for our audience after Cooper's
quiz is done, So you go ahead, Cooper, and I
got a good one for us.

Speaker 5 (51:04):
Yeah, that's it fun people.

Speaker 4 (51:05):
I actually have a quick question for our listener. So
if the's anyone listening that's actually acted in any of
those Hollywood horrors sort of like they've done, they've been
one of the characters. If you have a story where
you've actually been assaulted by someone taking the ride, or
you know someone come to watch because they're freaked out
because I reckon, you'd come across so many people. Yeah,

(51:26):
people are their egos hit or like people that just
out of fear would like strike them and stuff like that.
So I'd love to hear some of those yarms.

Speaker 6 (51:34):
Little twos too.

day seaground for that.

Speaker 2 (51:48):
So if you want to try to back a winner,
and if you just want to hear Hick Tommy's brain, Ye,
very interesting, very good. Anyone else want Tony want to
add anything.

Speaker 5 (51:58):

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. ā€œFoods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,ā€ says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
