Harkaren (00:03):
Hello everyone and

podcast designed to help youconsistently show up as the best
version of yourself.
My name is Harkaren and I'll beyour host.
I'll be here every week sharingstories and teaching you
techniques to prioritize theonly thing we have any control
(00:25):
over in this world Ourselves.
Here we are at the finalepisode of season one.
My focus this season has beenon building a solid foundation
of understanding.
When I created these episodes,I thought back to a past version
(00:46):
of myself, all the things Iwish I could have told her, and
now each of these concepts playsa vital role in how I show up
every day.
Maya Angelou has a famous quotethat says Do the best you can
(01:07):
until you know better.
Then, when you know better, dobetter.
By listening to this podcast, your awareness is expanding.
You've opened yourself up to adifferent perspective.
You've allowed me to guide youthrough various scenarios,
(01:27):
helping you connect the dotswhile sharing vulnerable and
relatable stories from my ownlife.
The goal is to get to a placeof living authentically,
cultivating inner peace and joy.
When we are connected to ourhigher selves, we realize that
(01:49):
life is not as complicated as weoften make it out to be.
You might already be noticinghow this expanded awareness is
impacting your reality.
Get good at noticing the smallchanges.
They will build momentum andhelp you to continue on this
(02:10):
personal growth journey.
Each episode in this podcastinterconnects with the next, but
they all had a commonunderlying theme.
Can you guess what it might be?
It doesn't matter how manytimes life knocks you down.
What matters is how many timesyou get back up.
(02:33):
Life has a way of testing us.
It throws challenges in ourdirection to encourage us to
step into a higher version ofourselves, to act from a place
of authenticity and alignment.
Or we can react based on pastconditioning and repeat
(02:55):
predictable narratives, forcingus to relearn a lesson we might
have thought we alreadyunderstood.
Life has to make youuncomfortable, otherwise you
would never leave your comfortzone and grow.
So how does life do this?
Usually through pain andobstacles, creating an
(03:17):
opportunity for us to practicevulnerability and resilience.
Vulnerability and resilience aretwo sides of the same coin.
At first glance, they may seemlike opposites.
Vulnerability often makes usthink about insecurity,
(03:38):
discomfort or fear, whileresilience often makes us think
about strength, optimism andovercoming adversity.
However, when we pay closeattention, we realize that
vulnerability is the gateway toresilience, and resilience is
(03:59):
cultivated through vulnerability.
I've had so many listenerscomment that they admire my
ability to be so vulnerable onthis podcast, but to me,
vulnerability is an essentialand beautiful part of life.
I believe we should all be morevulnerable and, as always, I'm
(04:23):
happy to lead by example.
Learning to be vulnerable withone another creates space for
acceptance and understanding.
Vulnerability is having thecourage to show up authentically
, to embrace our imperfectionsand to risk being seen for who
(04:44):
we truly are.
It's the willingness to openour hearts, share our struggles
and acknowledge our fears andinsecurities.
It is the raw and unfilteredexpression of our humanity.
It allows us to foster trustand form meaningful
(05:04):
relationships.
Resilience, on the other hand,is the ability to bounce back
from adversity and hardships, toadapt and thrive in the face of
challenges or setbacks.
It's our ability to harness ourinner strength, to overcome
(05:26):
obstacles and come out strongerand wiser.
On the other end, resilienceevokes feelings of hope and
optimism.
It's the belief that, no matterhow difficult the circumstances
might be, there's always a wayforward, a light at the end of
(05:46):
the tunnel, a silver lining inevery situation when we allow
ourselves to be vulnerable, tolean into discomfort and
uncertainty and lean into fear,we open ourselves up to the
possibility of growth andhealing.
(06:06):
It's through the process ofembracing our vulnerabilities,
facing our fears and confrontingour challenges head on that we
cultivate the resilience neededto navigate life's ups and downs
.
Resilience requires us toacknowledge our vulnerabilities,
(06:27):
accept our limitations andpractice self-care during times
of stress and adversity.
Resilient people prioritizetheir mental, emotional and
physical well-being, recognizingthat self-care is essential for
building and maintainingresilience.
(06:48):
They embrace change as anopportunity for growth and
learning rather than as a threatto their well-being.
When we experience any type ofpain in our lives, we tend to
have one of three reactions wetry to numb it, we try to avoid
(07:11):
it or we try to distractourselves from it.
For example, when youexperience the death of a loved
one, you might try to numb theemotional and psychological pain
through alcohol, drugs ormedication Anything to
temporarily rid yourself of thegrief and sadness you're
(07:33):
experiencing.
If you're having problems inyour relationship and you know
you have a tough conversationcoming up which is causing
feelings of discomfort and youknow it could lead to conflict,
you might be inclined to avoidthe heartache altogether.
You might choose to repressyour emotions to avoid conflict
(07:57):
which will manifest negativelyin the body, as we learned in
the previous episode, andsometimes, when we're dealing
with chronic stress especially,we might be tempted to distract
ourselves with the latestreality show or compulsive
shopping or spending excessiveamounts of time on social media.
(08:21):
It's important for you torealize that your most
significant growth will comethrough your most challenging
moments.
Instead of resorting to numbing, avoiding or distracting, use
these moments of vulnerabilityto cultivate resilience.
The amount of resilience youhave will expand and grow
(08:46):
through your life experiences, and the amount of resilience you
have towards a certainsituation might ebb and flow as
well.
So, for example, maybe you havea challenging situation that's
work related, and maybe you canface that head on with no
problem, but when you get homeand you need to face your
(09:09):
partner, maybe you're lessresilient in these circumstances
, while resilience may seem likea trait that you're either born
with or not, it's actually askill that we can develop and
strengthen over time.
To help you better understandand apply resilience in your
(09:29):
life, you can practice the threePs Power, perspective,
perseverance.
Power is the ability to takecontrol of things.
You have control of yourthoughts, emotions and behaviors
.
It's about recognizing theimportance of your personal
(09:52):
power, understanding and knowingthat you have the power to
choose how you respond in anyand every situation.
It means that we acknowledgeour emotions, but we don't allow
them to dictate our actions ifthe actions aren't aligned with
(10:13):
our higher self.
Perspective is about how youview and interpret challenging
situations.
It's about reframing challengesas opportunities for growth and
learning.
Learn how to maintain apositive and empowering
(10:33):
perspective.
View adversity as anopportunity for growth rather
than a roadblock.
Learn setbacks into steppingstones towards a brighter future
.
Perseverance is the ability tokeep going towards your goal
(10:54):
despite obstacles and setbacks.
It's about staying committed toyour vision and persisting in
the face of adversity.
You embrace challenges asopportunities to build character
and strength.
Get comfortable with facingobstacles head on and know that
(11:16):
you have the ability to overcomeany situation that comes your
way.
Think about all those timeswhen you felt hopeless and had
no idea what to do or how toproceed.
And yet here you are.
You overcame it and now, withthe tools you've learned in
(11:37):
these episodes, you'll be ableto bounce back quicker than ever
before, purposefully movingthrough life with ease, ready to
handle the ebbs and flows andto embrace the changes ahead.
So let's recap what we'velearned together in the last 12
weeks.
We started off by developing anunderstanding of the conscious
(12:03):
and subconscious mind, learningthat most of our subconscious
beliefs were developed at ayoung age and have continued to
impact our life since then.
We began to truly understandthe power of our thoughts, how
changing our thoughts willchange our emotions and
(12:26):
behaviors and the energy we emitinto the world.
We learned our energeticfrequency impacts where we fall
on the vibrational scale ofalignment, and we created a
toolkit to keep our vibrationshigh, while also learning tools
(12:47):
to release negative and stagnantenergy.
We began to understandneuroplasticity and the power of
creating positive feedbackloops.
Meditation and mindfulness arepractices that provide us with
clarity and alignment with ourhigher selves.
(13:09):
We surround ourselves withsupportive and uplifting people
who are there for us when timesget tough.
We incorporated simplegratitude practices allowing us
to choose a more optimisticoutlook on life.
We learned the importance ofself-love, self-compassion and
(13:34):
showing up for ourselvesconsistently every day.
We began to understand thetransformative power of letting
go, creating a sense of trustwith the universe.
We learned that the universewill find ways to force change
if we try to keep ourselvesstuck when we are meant for.
(13:58):
So much more.
Vulnerability has been presentthroughout our journey as we
confront and acknowledge thesubconscious beliefs and
patterns that shaped our livessince childhood.
By delving into the depths ofthe subconscious mind, we open
ourselves up to vulnerability, facing the truths and traumas
(14:22):
that may have been buriedbeneath the surface for years.
Vulnerability is a necessarystep towards healing and
transformation, as it allows usto uncover and release limiting
beliefs and negative energy thatmight be holding us back as we
learn to change our thoughts, emotions and energy.
(14:45):
We also develop resilience inthe face of adversity.
By creating positive feedbackloops, practicing gratitude and
surrounding ourselves withsupportive communities, we build
a foundation of resilience thatallows us to bounce back from
setbacks and challenges withgrace.
(15:06):
Meditation and mindfulness helpus develop inner strength and
emotional resilience, enablingus to navigate life's ups and
downs with greater ease.
Our personal growth journeyhighlights the importance of
self-love, self-compassion andletting go, a willingness to be
(15:29):
vulnerable and trust in theprocess of life.
By cultivating self-love andcompassion, we build resilience
from within, nurturing a senseof worthiness and empowerment
that allows us to facechallenges with courage.
By embracing vulnerability andcultivating resilience, you
(15:52):
empower yourself to liveauthentically, navigate
challenges with grace andultimately, thrive in alignment
with your highest potential.
The vulnerable stories I sharedwith you in Episode 10 and
Episode 11 directly tie in tothis episode.
(16:12):
Those rock bottom moments werewhat turned me into the
resilient woman I am today.
I am only human, so I may stillhave doubts from time to time
and I may still overthinkcertain situations, but I have a
deep understanding that I willbe able to handle anything and
(16:37):
everything that comes my way.
And if I am being tested by theuniverse, it is only to prove
that I am ready to embody myhigher self.
When it seems that things arenot going my way, I challenge
myself to pause, I practicemeditation and mindfulness and I
(16:58):
allow the situation to unfold.
Naturally, I start implementingadditional self-care practices
to ensure I am well-taking careof and energetically vibrating
at a higher frequency, and thenI let go and surrender, trusting
that the universe has my back.
(17:19):
These simple steps are how Iovercome adversity every single
time.
I used to put in so much effortand unknowingly struggle
against the situation, but now Iam completely trusting in the
universe because I know thateverything is always working out
(17:42):
for me when I am going throughtough times.
I know I am being prepared tolevel up and show up as a higher
version of myself.
What a beautiful cycle it iswhen you choose to look at it
this way.
