techniques to prioritize theonly thing we have any control
(00:25):
over in this world ourselves.
Welcome back, beautiful souls,to season two of Balance Baby.
Did you miss me?
Because I missed you.
I got so much positive feedbackabout Season 1 and I'm so
(00:46):
excited to dive deeper into ourself-improvement journey in this
new season.
Imagine we're building a hometogether.
You can picture Season 1 as thefoundation.
It is concrete, it is solid, itis there for you when you need
it.
The concepts we discussed willalways be your starting point
(01:10):
for becoming your most authenticself, concepts that are
universal and applicable toeveryone.
I encourage you to go back toseason one frequently because,
as our awareness expands, sodoes our level of understanding.
Something you may not haveresonated with previously might
(01:33):
be exactly what you're ready toimplement in your life now.
We can picture season two asthe framing of our home.
With framing, we have a bitmore flexibility.
How many rooms do we want?
How big will they be?
What will the layout look like.
Season two invites you totailor your journey to fit your
(01:55):
unique needs and aspirations and, with that being said, let's
dive right into it.
I have a very important questionfor you.
Who would you be if you hadfull confidence in yourself, if
you had no insecurities and youknew that you couldn't fail
(02:16):
because you were either going toaccomplish your goals or
something even better?
Imagine stepping into thatversion of yourself each day,
feeling empowered andunstoppable.
How would you carry yourself?
What dreams would you pursue?
What would your daily routinelook like?
(02:37):
How would you feel in yourrelationships and how would you
treat others in yourrelationships and how would you
treat others?
This is your ideal self.
Take some time to reflect onthese questions.
It will help you if you writedown your answers, and your
answers will be personal to youbecause there's no one else like
(02:59):
you.
Society often encourages us todress the same, look the same,
think the same, but we are notthe same.
We are unique individuals andlife gets better for everyone.
The more we embrace andencourage this, have an
(03:27):
understanding of what our idealself looks like and acts like,
we can begin to close the gapbetween who we are and who we
want to be.
The important part here is torecognize that there is nothing
wrong with who you are.
Once upon a time, the lifeyou're currently living was only
just a dream.
It's crucial to honor where youare while striving towards
(03:50):
where you want to be.
However, not making changeswill keep you where you are.
So if there are parts of yourlife that you want to improve,
you're going to have to embracechange.
Take an audit of your life andanalyze where you can improve,
(04:11):
identify areas where you feelstuck or dissatisfied, and
consider what changes you canmake to move closer to your
ideal self.
Remember, change can be gradualand it's okay to start small.
Each step you take towardsalignment with your ideal self
(04:31):
brings you closer to living amore fulfilling and authentic
life.
One tool that can help you withthis is called the Wheel of Life
.
It's a tool that was created toassist you in self-reflection
and goal setting.
It provides a visualrepresentation and comparison of
(04:51):
all the different areas of yourlife, allowing you to see which
parts of your life are lackingyour attention and focus.
A basic Wheel of Life wouldhave eight equal parts, but you
can also have more, depending onhow detailed you want to get
with this.
Each section is assigned acategory.
(05:12):
Through introspection, you'llassign a rating to each category
based on your current level ofsatisfaction and fulfillment.
Current level of satisfactionand fulfillment.
This rating is typicallyrepresented on a scale of 1 to
10, with 1 being closest to thecenter and indicating low
satisfaction.
10 is closest to the outer edgeof the circle and indicates
(05:37):
high satisfaction.
By visually plotting theseratings on the wheel, you'll
gain insight into which areas ofyour life may be thriving and
which may require more attention.
If you need a visual or atemplate to follow, search Wheel
of Life on Google for tons ofoptions To help you get started.
(06:01):
Let's explore each of the basiccategories a little more closely
.
So we'll start with career andwork.
This category assesses yoursatisfaction and fulfillment in
your professional life.

, work-life balance andalignment with your passions and

values.

have on your well-being.
Consider factors such as livingenvironment, organization and
cleanliness.
Regardless of how you choose toidentify the gaps between your
(08:34):
ideal self and who you are now,the crucial step is to recognize
that bridging this dividerequires taking action.
It's so easy to fall into atrap of complacency using
phrases like well.
This is just how I've alwaysbeen.
Using phrases like well.
This is just how I've alwaysbeen, as justification for
(08:55):
staying stagnant.
However, true growth andtransformation requires you to
let go of this fixed mindset.
You can spend as much time asyou want learning new concepts,
but it is the application ofthis newfound knowledge that is
actually going to create thechanges in your life.
(09:18):
If you have been goal setting toimprove certain areas of your
life and you're not seeing theresults that you want, it's okay
to pivot.
Sometimes, despite our bestefforts and intentions, the path
we've chosen may not lead us tothe outcome we wanted.
Instead of being disheartenedor feeling defeated, it's
(09:41):
important to remember that youcan change your approach or your
strategy whenever you see fit.
Trust in your ability to pivottowards new opportunities,
recalibrate your your strategyand continue moving forward with
resilience and determination.
Try to embody your ideal self.
(10:03):
If your ideal self ran into anobstacle on their path towards
their goals, would they getdiscouraged and give up, or
would they persevere, regardlessof the circumstances?
It's important to start askingyourself how your ideal self
would act in any given situationand then act in that way.
(10:26):
By consistently embodying thetraits and values of your ideal
self, you're not onlyreinforcing positive behaviors,
but you also reinforce yourcommitment to personal growth
and to authenticity.
Finding effective ways to holdyourself accountable is key to
(10:46):
staying on track.
To do this, you couldincorporate habit tracking apps
or systems into your routinethat can provide valuable
insight into your progress andareas for improvement.
These tools allow you tomonitor your consistency in
practicing behaviors alignedwith your ideal self and
(11:08):
identify patterns or obstaclesthat might be holding you back.
Another effective strategy isto enlist the support of an
accountability partner.
This could be a trusted friend,a family member, maybe a coach
or a mentor who shares yourcommitment to personal
development.
Regular check-ins with youraccountability partner provide
(11:32):
opportunities for reflection,encouragement and constructive
feedback.
The intention is that they helpyou to stay accountable to your
goals and motivated to keeppushing forward.
Embodying your ideal self is ajourney that requires consistent
effort and dedication is ajourney that requires consistent
(11:57):
effort and dedication.
Those who are living as theirideal selves didn't reach that
point overnight.
They got there throughpersistent and inspired action.
In a culture that oftenprioritizes instant
gratification and quick fixes,it's essential to acknowledge
that true transformation takestime and sustained effort.
Each step forward, no matterhow small, brings you closer to
(12:22):
realizing your fullest potentialand living a life in alignment
with your highest self.
Commit to showing up foryourself each day, knowing that
every effort you makecontributes to your continued
growth and fulfillment.
Understand that embodying yourideal self also requires the
(12:45):
discipline to say no todistractions and short-term
impulses.
In a world filled with constantdistractions and temptations,
staying focused on yourlong-term goals and aspirations
can be challenging.
However, it's essential torecognize that every decision
you make either brings youcloser to or further from your
(13:09):
ideal self.
Saying no to distractions meansbeing mindful of how you
allocate your time and energy, setting boundaries, prioritizing
tasks that align with yourgoals and resisting the urge to
indulge in activities thatderail your progress.
Whether it's scrolling throughsocial media or binge watching
(13:33):
TV shows, each distraction takesyou away from the path towards
your ideal self.
When you're spending timewatching reality TV or even
scripted movies and TV shows, you are watching people live out
their dreams of reaching fameand recognition, and in the
(13:55):
process of binge watching, you're actively procrastinating
taking any steps to live outyour own dreams.
Technology has undoubtedly madeour lives easier, but it doesn't
come without a cost.
For example, social mediaplatforms are amazing for
facilitating connections withfriends or family, or even
(14:19):
strangers, regardless of theirphysical locations, even
strangers, regardless of theirphysical locations.
There are so many people I'vemet while traveling who I
normally would have lost touchwith, but instead I get to
maintain a connection with thembecause of social media.
Additionally, these platformsprovide us with opportunities
for networking that we might nototherwise have.
(14:42):
They help us build communitiesaround shared interests and
truly have the potential toenhance our lives in meaningful
ways.
However, you would have to be afool to think that streaming
services and social media arecreated purely for our
entertainment and for fosteringconnections.
(15:03):
While streaming services andsocial media may seem friendly
and fun, they're actually allabout making money.
They're profit-drivenbusinesses and they use
strategies to keep users hookedso that they can make more money
off of their consumers.
How you choose to spend yourtime is completely up to you,
(15:27):
but I encourage you to startbeing more mindful of how much
content you're consuming on adaily basis and what kind of
content you're consuming.
It's not about completelyremoving this habit from your
life.
It's about finding a balance sothat you're not distracted from
your own goals and dreams.
(15:47):
Obviously, you're hearing thisbecause you're listening to my
podcast, and I'm so gratefulbecause part of my mission is to
provide good, positive contentfor people to enjoy Ideally not
just to enjoy, but to facilitatemeaningful positive changes
(16:07):
within their own lives.
With that in mind, I want toencourage you to watch a
documentary I saw a few yearsago called the Social Dilemma.
It's a very interestingdocumentary about the impacts of
social media on society societyand it reveals how these
platforms use algorithms and ourown psychology to keep us
(16:31):
addicted.
Similarly to mindfully saying noto distractions, resisting
short-term impulses requirespracticing delayed gratification
and exercising self-control.
It means resisting thetemptation to opt for instant
pleasure or gratification infavor of long-term fulfillment
(16:54):
and success.
While it may be tempting togive in to immediate desires,
doing so only slows yourprogress.
By cultivating mindfulness,self-discipline and a strong
sense of purpose, you empoweryourself to make choices that
align with your values andaspirations.
(17:15):
You learn to distinguishbetween what is truly important
and what is merely a distraction, allowing you to stay focused
on your journey towards becomingyour best self.
So the next time you're facedwith a distraction or short-term
impulses, pause, reflect onyour long-term goals and choose
(17:39):
the path that brings you closerto embodying your ideal self.
Thank you so much for tuning into my first episode of season
two the more often you act likethe highest version of yourself,
the more often you will feellike it.
My hope is that this episodehas inspired you to go inwards
(18:04):
and understand what your idealself truly looks like, and
understand what your ideal selftruly looks like.
I keep several lists in myphone detailing the habits,
traits and qualities of not onlymy ideal self, but also my
ideal partner and my ideal home.
These lists serve as remindersand help me to stay focused on
(18:28):
my goals while maintaining ahigh vibration to attract what
aligns with my vision.
When faced with life'schallenges or decisions, I
encourage you to pause and takea moment to center yourself
Consciously.
Choose to act from a place ofalignment with your higher self,
rather than reacting based onpast patterns or conditioning.
(18:52):

that we can embody the essenceof our ideal selves and manifest
the life we desire.
