Well, my quote unquote weekenda few days ago it was pretty
good, just relaxed, um, caughtup on.
Quote unquote weekend a fewdays ago was pretty good, just
relaxed, um, caught up on somethings that I do around the
house, uh.
But the quote unquote everyoneelse's weekend, uh, I basically
worked and, boy, let me tell you, got my ass kicked and um, it

was.
I went.
I can't say it was fun, themoney was nice, but, um, I mean
it was a brutal day today.
I mean it was sunny out it saysit was supposed to be 74, but
that wind was whipping out onthe course.
Today it was freezing.
I don't know how those peopleplayed, but you know, had a good
shift today.
Yesterday was good, but otherthan that, watched a little G on

the TV, got a littledisappointed, but it is what it
is.

A lot of the same Worked yesterday, played a little golf
Crazy Finally getting out on thegolf course it was 74 degrees
and then now it's 30.
So welcome to SoutheastVirginia in March.
You know, just give it an hourand the weather's going to
change.
But went out last night forBuddy's birthday, buddy's wife's

birthday and Ava had a ringdance.
So we had a bunch of you knowgirls over here and their dates
hanging out before the dance andit was cool.
It's like I was talking to TPlast night.
We were talking about it and Isent him a picture and he was
like God, where's the time gone?
And I'm like yeah, right.
And I'm like she's a junior,like it's March this time next

It's almost over, dude for highschool, I mean.

Yeah, You're turning 47.

caddies for Fowler, a littlebit over the weekend We'll get

But other than that, went overto my sister-in-law's house

tonight for my niece's birthdayand you know, came home, got the
nights on, thank God, we got anearly game, not a 10 o'clock
start, but and getting ready fortonight with you.
Other than that, you know,that's about it Off tomorrow,
pretty pumped about that, andthat's about it off tomorrow,

And uh, that's it.
So let's just, I mean, go aheadand, I guess, jump right into

what used to be called the hondaclassic, which is, you know,
now the pga tour cognizantclassic, I don't know whatever
how many times you have topractice that before you just
say that correctly?
it took me about 12 times tolook it up on the PGA Tour app
to learn how to spell it for thenotes.
I could say it, I just couldn'tspell it.

So you know, I don't know.

You know, last week I hit what I thought was a no-brainer
bet, graham and I hit it, andthat was Steven Yeager, top 20,
right, yeah, top 20.
Hit it.
So we're walking into this weekat PGA National.
I'm like Graham, I got a greatfeeling, bro.

Lowry Daniel Berger, top 20.
They're both plus money.
Graham's like how confident areyou?
And I'm like, well, I'm reallyconfident on Berger and I'm
about 85% confidence on Lowry.
Well, berger goes out.
What did he shoot?
Seven, eight under the firstday.
Like we're like let's go.

I mean, the scoring wasridiculous.
The first round, I mean Knapp59.

First ever round under 60 inthe state of Florida, which,
graham, I had to prove to himbecause he didn't think that was

Not really Think about the courses they play in Florida

They're not easy, fair, they'renot playing PGA West, arnold

years ago, called the pga touryou, where they automatically
get their pga tour card andLudwig was the first person to

ever get it and it goes bypoints, by college wins, by
national amateur tournaments, bytop finishes, by making a cut
when you qualify for a PGA Tourevent, yada, yada, yada.
Right, you get your tour card.
Luke Clanton, all he had to dowas make the cut at the American
Express Championship in PalmSprings, had a putt to make the

cut on the last hole, missed it,missed the cut, didn't get his
tour card.
Got in this week.
Make a cut.
And he's a player at FloridaState Make the cut, you get your
tour card.
Well, not only does he make thecut, dude, he finishes tied for
18thth, but he makes birdie onhis 36th hole.

To finish, I think he was eightunder through two days.
I mean, are you kidding me?
This is a college player.
Dude's a stud.
We've talked about him numeroustimes, but to see the emotion
as he walked off the green andhis whole family was there was
so awesome to me.

Part of golf that is amazing tome is to see the emotion, cause
it's yeah, it's not a teamsport, but you got a team behind
you.
You know you got your mom andyour dad that drove you around
to a million junior tournaments,right.

So if he turns pro at the endof he said at the end of the
college season he might turn proand he might not, but he still
has the option.
If he goes back for his lastyear, he has the option to get
his tour card when he finisheshis senior season.

all these tour guys are members.
Tomorrow's the annual promember event and a lot of people
say and this is weird becauseit's not an official event A lot
of people say this has the bestfield in golf.

People that aren't exempted to the majors are
playing in this thing and Idon't know if you've seen t

at the players championship in acouple of weeks.

I've been waiting to tell you.

This is the last year he'sexempt to play in that
tournament.

I'd love to see the tournament organizer who has the

that I never thought I wouldever read in my life, and that
is that Tiger's not exempt intoa golf tournament and he's not.

Like we said, when Charlie madethe hole in one, we got to see

think you get a five-yearexemption.

It's weird, doesn't make senseat all.
So as we wrap up, golf thesport we love to talk about a
lot the NFL.
They started their combine thisweek, yes, sir, in Indianapolis

And you know something I'venever really dug in to and done
a lot of research on is theCombine right?
I don't know why.
I mean, I understand thepurpose of it, purpose of it,
but from the podcast I've beenlistening to this year about the
combine, everybody's basicallysaid the same thing and that is

the combine.
The focus has kind of changedfrom workouts you know, which
they all do to the interviewprocess.
They want to know thepersonality of the players.
Obviously, you want to knowyour drafting, especially in the
first round that you'respending millions of dollars on
and each team you only get 15minutes with each person.

Yeah, it's crazy.
Dude, they got a lot of people Iknow, and to me, what I've
taken away from everything thatI've learned this year and I
could be totally wrong is thecombine benefits more of the

players in the later rounds.
Yes, Does that make sense?
100%?
You know the big guys.
They're going to be in thefirst round.
You know if you've noticed thenumber one and number two ranked
quarterbacks coming out thisyear.

You know Cam, ward and sanders.
They didn't even throw.
And when I were talking about itearlier, why not?
Well, it makes sense becauseafter the combine, all these
universities have their whatthey call their pro days.
So as a quarterback, you eithergo to the combine and you throw
to these receivers you have nocommunication skills with, or

they don't know your style andthey don't catch the ball.
Is that your fault as a passer?
No, but it's not a completion.
Or then you throw at youruniversity where you're throwing
to your wide receivers you'vehad a connection with for x
amount of years.

they're going to be throwing theplayers.
Yeah, but they also have thisthing called an off season, OTAs
, rookie mini camps.
You know by the time it matters.
They know what's going on.
