So, like we always do, Scott,when talking about sports, it's

is, you know, we all know youlisten to me joke on Graham
about sleeping in.
My guy actually got up before 6a.m.
three days in a row.

Uh, how about before 5 a.m.?

Yeah, it was brutal.
Well, when you have 7.10 teaoff times, you know, and you
gotta get there, it's like it iswhat it is.

But I had a busy weekend, but we'll get into

Scott, how was your weekend,brother?

I had a crazy weekend too.
And not as crazy as yours, butyou know, I mentioned last week
it was our member guest at theclub.
Everybody knows that sitting inthe golf world, member guest is
like the Super Bowl for privateclubs, and just so happened to
be Ryder Cup weekend, the reasonI couldn't go.

And, you know, all my thoughtsand you know, concentration was
on that.
Stayed down at the clubThursday night, was bummed.
I couldn't go to Kellen's gameon Thursday night against their
rival school, which theydominated.
Kellen was so pumped.
First quarter had a tackle,caused a fumble, recovered the

fumble.
Kristen's texting me as I'mlike scoring the first round,
and I'm like losing my mind.
I'm like, oh, you know, I'm sopumped for him.

Graham (02:28):
Yeah.

Scott (02:29):
You know, the whole memory, you know, I'm like so
bummed I missed it, but thankGod they, you know, I showed it
to you last night.
The coaches record everything.
They won, got back to thehotel, and literally Kellen,
first thing he says, text mewhen he got on the bus to go
home, and he just texts me,let's effing go.
And I'm like, that's my boyright there.

Graham (02:52):
Fired up.

Scott (02:53):
Fired, fired up, dude.
In the video, you know, comingout of the, you know, where he
recovered it, jumping up anddown with the ball, and then
seeing the rest of the video onthe sideline with the whole team
smacking his helmet.
I was pumped for him.
But then, dude, it was crazy.
Like, I was talking to Kristenon her way home.
Dude, she drove past the highschool and she's like, I don't

know what's going on at the highschool.
Like, there's like 10 firetrucks at the high school.
I don't know what the hell'sgoing on, dude.
Because it's the local rivalry,the fire station right by our
house, right by the high school,lined up the entrance to the
high school to welcome them homefor winning the game.

How sick is that?

And I'm out there orchestratingthis whole fiasco.
We go from 10 teams to sixteams to four teams.
Well, we get to the four teamhole, and my dad texts me, Holy

I'm like, in the rider cup.

I'll like turn my phone off.
I'm like, I can't even dealwith this anymore.
I can't, I gotta deal withthis.

Disappointed in the Ryder Cupand disappointed in my Chargers,

But more excited that Sunday towatch the Ryder Cup was
actually watchable.

Got home from Member Guest,amazing football games on
Oregon, Penn State, Georgia,Bama.

it be globally, but even herewithin the United States, that
they are absolute staples, youknow, for golfers of of all
ages, for the PJ Tour.

Like, there's a handful ofclubs you're like, yeah, that's
famous for a reason.
No, they're the Beth Pages, thePelobeaches, like all of the
top ten courses we'll say.
I mean, there's really like asolid five to seven, but we'll
say the top ten courses.
Like they have their status,their eliteness, and in in in
various ways.
The number one thing about BethPage, the I mean, the absolute

It's a municipal course.

Well, besides that, but what's the number like a normal

It's a big golf course, it's a big golf course.

But here and there is one thingon a consistent basis, and
great, like I said, these arethe best players in the world.

three and one the day before.

tickets for a hundred bucks forSunday because we're getting our
asses handed to us.

literally paid a hundred buckson some other platform for a

he got his tickets, theyactually offered him money to
buy his tickets on like that.
For Sunday?
No, no, no, for the whole week.

Because they said they wererunning low on tickets, so they

to come to our concession standarea and uh we will give you the
free option choice of have abag of potato chips, have an
apple, have a banana, have acheeseburger, hot dog, chicken
sandwich, you know, somethingthat they just kept piping hot
and just kept putting it outthere, you know, and just and
and look, free food, I'll takeit.

It's better than not offering it because they didn't
have to.

For $750, they better have done a lot of other things.
Let me tell you.
So that in itself.
Um, something that we I broughtup before, I think we talked
about it in the episode thatdidn't, but if there, I don't
want to say a silver lining, butif there, if I did learn

anything from this weekend, andit pains me to say this, it
really does.
For as much as I love golf, I Iwill never er, I will never pay
to go to a tournament for morethan two days.

Folks, what I mean by that is you people you you don't
understand the concept of oh,well, it's golf.
When you watch it on TV, yousee everything.
Not when you're there, not whenyou're there.
I mean, my mom was like, well,didn't they just have like TVs
up everywhere?

What what I'm like, Ma, where'dthey get all the extension

Like, where would they get allthe I'm like, no, like there's a
few holes that had bigprojector screens that they did
it at.
They probably had like threeaside, so six total screens.
But it's just like when I'mtalking with my buddy Paul, and
you know, we get there, and it'slike, well, where do you want
to go?
And it's just like, look, likethere's a strategy of how you

watch golf at an event.
Because you're only doing itone of two ways.
Either you're going to aspecific place, grandstand, or
if you have your own chair orwherever, where you basically
get out in front of everyone,wait it out for the first group
to come through, have great, youknow, have a great time, great

seats, great situation with thatgoing on at that moment, watch
the groups go through, and thenjust wait it and wait it out
until they come back in theafternoon.
And if you do that, hopefullyyou pick a place that has one of
those projection screens.
We did that on, I mean, betweengoing to the practice rounds,

I'm trying to remember, but Iknow on Friday, the first date,
we forgot to take the chairs.
So that's what we did.
We went out to, I think it waslike 12, and 12 green was also
right next to five green.
So we got a little two for onespecial there.
So we sat in the grandstands,but there was a point where

there was three hours that therewas no one on the hole.

Scott (24:47):
And that's that's the hard thing about the Ryder Cup
versus another tournament,right?
A regular event.
Right.
There's only four groups on thecourse on Friday and Saturday.

Graham (24:59):
It's not like we could bounce around.

Like back in the day when we used to go to Tory Pines,
you would have to jump threeholes in front of wherever Tiger
was so you could watch Tigerhit a shot.
Well, at the Ryder Cup, you'rethree holes ahead of everybody
to watch four groups, and thenyou're like, okay, now where do
we go?

Graham (25:19):
Exactly.
And when there's 70,000 peoplethere that on a weekend day, and
there's four groups going off,or at least on Sunday when it
went individual, like you knowwhat I mean?

Scott (25:30):
So it's like that's the brutal part.

Graham (25:32):
It's picking your battles of surveying the course,
know where you want to positionyourself, because you have to
have the TVs.
Like, I'm literally there atBeth Page.
The weather was better than Ithought it was gonna be.
I'm happy for that, but I'm onmy phone watching the Ryder Cup

at the Ryder Cup.

Scott (25:56):
Yeah, I get it.

Like, I mean I mean, the dude, the I mean, dude, I get

Uh other things, like if it wasa free ticket, like, and the
thing is that it's not about themoney per se, but it's just

So when we bought the tickets,I was like, yeah, just get
Thursday through Sunday, andthen my friend ended up buying

the extra day and got all this,and it's just like, dude, I was
at Beth Page Wednesday,Thursday, Friday, Saturday,
Sunday.
Like, after a while, I'm like,all right, I want to leave.

We didn't stay.

beat the traffic.

big deal with the shows.

But and like I told you the other day, you know, day one
for the first tea shot.
Dude, Maros texted me at 5 20in the morning, Friday morning,
a picture of the first tea, andhe goes, It's already full.

And that was the one thing I told you.
