Last week you heard it.
This week you didn't because hereally screwed that shit up.
But you know, here we go.
We got a fun episode.
(00:42):
If you're not a golf fan, youprobably don't even want to
listen, but anyhow, graham, what's going on over there?
Graham (00:49):
Wow, wow.
Even if you're not a golf fan, still listen.
It's going to be a great time.
Bunch of jokes, a lot of laughs.
Hey weekend was good for me,but I'm going to be honest, I'm
a little thirsty.
What do you think?
How about we grab one atCracklin and we'll talk about it
?
Scott (01:07):
Let's grab it, let's
crack it, let's go, dude, check
this out.
I got it fresh from Dave'sValley.
Holds two, let's go.
Baby Kristen's like, oh great, that's what you need, a couple
that holds two beers.
I'm like, yeah, what's betterthan one, two and that's what I
(01:30):
was saying to you when I was onthe phone.
I filled it up with two and Iwas like, oh man, I screwed it
up already.
I need to crack one in a second.
So I drank half of it real quickand filling it up again.
You're welcome, cave's Valley.
There you go.
Graham (01:49):
You know what I haven't
told you in a while, at least on
air?
Scott (01:53):
Let me hear it.
Graham (01:55):
You're unbelievable
Sometimes.
Scott (02:01):
I will accept that, but
anyhow, how was your weekend?
What's going on?
Graham (02:08):
My weekend was pretty
chill.
We had One of my mom's cousinswas in town.
They were staying at atimeshare so we hung out and had
dinner with them On twoseparate nights.
Other than that, just beenreally watching the BMW
championship and been doing someerrands Because your boy is
getting some new equipment.
Very excited about that, notreally excited about jumping
(02:32):
into the deep end of Appleproducts, but it's been 42 years
of life and I guess now is thetime.
So I'm embracing it, I'm trying.
I don't know, I guess I'm notan Apple person.
You conned me into getting theiPhone.
I mean like, yeah, it's great.
Scott (02:49):
Yeah, but once you have
one and then you get a Mac, I
mean everything talks together.
I mean I'm not saying thatSamsung and all that shit
doesn't talk either.
Graham (02:59):
Yeah.
Scott (02:59):
But I'm just saying, I
mean.
Graham (03:02):
I get it.
There's reasons to have it.
I acknowledge that I justdidn't think it was going to
turn into something like that.
But hey, we're here and it iswhat it is.
So pretty much that's going onfor me, scott, I already know,
but let the people know how wasyour weekend, brother?
Scott (03:19):
Well, as we left
everybody last week, I was kind
of talking about going toBaltimore for the BMW to hang
out with Romance and see my boyFowler, and did I think it was
going to happen?
No, I was talking about it.
You know, johnny called me lastweek and was like dude, let's
go.
Didn't really think about it.
Then we got off the show and Iwas talking to you and I'm like
(03:41):
let's look at some hotels, right?
You know, let's see what'sgoing on.
Well, I'm talking to myassistant in the golf shop on
Tuesday.
One of my members hears metalking about it and he goes are
you going to the tournament?
And I'm like I don't know.
Yet I've been looking at hotelsand he just stops me and he
(04:01):
goes if you go, you can have myhouse.
He goes, it's 20 minutes awayand I'm like I'm sorry what what
?
and he's like you can have myhouse.
He goes we haven't been therein three months, we've been down
here in the outer banks.
He goes nobody's there.
Take a couple buddies, you knowyou can have the house, I'll
give you the key tomorrow.
And okay, well, this just gotinteresting so.
(04:26):
So it all of a sudden becamereal.
And Paul Johnny, tuesday nighthe was like I'm down, when do
you want to leave?
I'm like leave early Fridaymorning, watch Friday, watch
Saturday.
I have to be back to work onSunday for a event at work.
Talk to my dad.
And my dad's like I'm down, allright, here we go, called.
(04:48):
My member brings me the key, gives me the address.
Thanks for playing.
I'm like oh, this is gettingreal, let's go Right.
It's like okay, so talk to myboss.
I'm like hey, I'm going to takeFriday off.
If you're cool with it, go tothe Caves Valley for the BMW.
I was like I know we have thenew member mixer on Sunday night
(05:11):
from 5 to 7.
I'm like I'm planning on beingthere.
The only way I will not bethere with your blessing is if
Fowler has a six-shot lead.
I'm skipping it because yourboy will be partying with the
Fowlers Facts.
I'm skipping it because yourboy will be partying with the
Fowlers facts and he's like allgood, all good, right.
So anyhow, leave.
(05:33):
Tell Johnny I'm picking him upat 6 30, driving to my dad.
Told my dad I'll be there at 7.
Literally I'm packing Thursdaynight.
And you know me, dude, I hateshoes.
I live in flip-flops, so I packeverything.
Literally put my shoes that I'mgoing to wear in the garage,
right by the garage door where Ihave to walk over them to get
(05:56):
to the car, so I won't forgetthem.
You can see where this is going.
Graham (06:01):
Yeah, I'm like wait,
wait, wait, wait.
Where are we?
Scott (06:04):
going with this.
So leave at 6.15, get toJohnny's at 6.30.
And he's like dude, I mean I'min a t-shirt, like I'm going to
change, put on a golf shirt andstuff.
And I'm like and he's likeyou're wearing flip-flops.
I'm like, no, I got shoes inthe car About that.
No, I don't.
And I'm like, oh dude, thankGod I only live 10 minutes away.
(06:28):
Oh, that's good, john's like, what are you going to do?
I'm like we're going to go backand get them.
I ain't stopping at no goddamnmall to buy shoes.
Yeah, I'm going back to getthem, right?
So let me just tell you thisUh-oh.
My boy, johnny, gets an awardfor it.
Thank you, jesus, for sayingthat, because this golf course
(06:53):
felt like a goddamn billy goat.
I mean, dude, let me just tellyou.
Okay, we'll rewind a little bit.
I had to throw that in withthis huge thing, of course, of
course.
So this to throw that in withthis few things.
Graham (07:04):
Of course, of course.
Scott (07:06):
So this golf course is in
the middle of nowhere.
You know I'm driving, you knowI get my dad and I in with
tickets, with my PGA card.
Romano hooked Johnny up withthe ticket.
Thursday.
I text Fowler, I'm like greatfor opening round, coming up
tomorrow with my dad and a buddyCan't wait to see you.
He texts me back awesome, Can'twait to see you guys.
Yada, yada, yada right, sowe're driving.
(07:29):
I get the tickets from Romanoand it says where to park and
what to do.
I'm literally on 95 driving.
My dad can't see anything,Johnny can't see anything and
I'm buying this parking pass for30 bucks and it is what it is.
They tell us where to go.
Well, we go there.
There's no signs, there's noanything.
(07:50):
What Dude?
There's nothing.
There's a parking lot andthere's one bus in it.
There's like seven cars and acop sitting in the back of the
parking lot.
So finally we're like all right, we're going to go talk to the
cop.
Where the hell do we go?
Cop tells us where to go.
Have you ever heard of a golftournament where you park in a
(08:11):
parking garage?
Dude, bizarre.
But no signs anywhere.
Okay, thank God we were early.
Romano told me what time to beon the range of the putting
green.
We're way early.
Right, it's all good.
We're finally on the shuttlebus, we're on the way, let's go.
Let's go.
Hotter than hogs balls, dude,it's like ridiculously hot.
(08:33):
We get to Cave Valley and getmy tickets.
Everything's fine and dandy.
First time there, Ask avolunteer where's the driving
range?
Steve tells us we go.
Gallivant reminder it's hotterthan shit.
(08:53):
I'm with my 70 plus year olddad, 66 67 year old john, and
everything's like this up downall.
So tell us where the range is.
No, no, goddang range.
Graham (09:08):
Saw that coming.
Scott (09:09):
Fowler, he's off at two.
It's now like we were onproperty Graham at 1240.
Okay, 1240.
Hour and 20 minutes before histee time.
And let me tell you, when wewent to where this dumb bitch
told us where to go, it was updown, all around, up around
again.
So then we asked somebody else.
They tell us where to go.
(09:30):
No can't find the range.
So at this point we've been onproperty for an hour plus.
My dad's shirt is soakedthrough sweat.
We've been up and down MountEverest 12 times.
It's 20 minutes to two and I'mlike screw the range through the
(09:51):
putting green.
Let's just go to the first teeright for some reason I don't
know, the bmw championship likerecognized the caddies and we
talked about the night beforewhere they announced the caddies
on the first tee and and I'mlike I've got to get a video of
them announcing Romano,absolutely.
So we get on the first tee,1.45,.
We got 15 minutes.
I'm like all right, at leastwe're here.
(10:12):
I'm bummed that I didn't get tohang out and you know,
introduce my dad to Rick andRick.
But whatever, it's Thursday, wegot another day.
So F.
So Fowler walks out of thetunnel because you know they
have a tunnel and you know theplace goes apeshit.
He's playing with JonathanVegas.
So Fowler walks out of thetunnel, everybody's going
apeshit and I see Fowler lookright at me.
(10:34):
He knew I was coming, obviouslybecause we talked.
He looks right at me, he givesme the tip of the cap, hits his
first tee shot, then Vegas hitsthe t-shot and they're walking
by and fowler looks at me.
He's like what's up?
Wah.
And romano's like dude, youmade it.
We've been looking for you allmorning.
I'm like dude, don't even getme started.
I'll tell you tonight at dinnerand he goes.
(10:55):
I told you it was the clusterto get in here.
I'm like it won't get in, bro.
It was the finding theangdriving range and stuff.
So, anyhow, we're off andrunning right, we're following
them and, dude, we get throughthree holes the first hole.
Second hole is par four.
Third hole is like this 200yards downhill, par three.
(11:18):
My dad's struggling.
I'm like, why don't you, let'sjust stay here and we'll cut
across, like we're were thinkingright over there is number four
, four green, and it's not so.
And we had already lost Johnny, like two holes in.
Johnny's gone.
I'm like, yelling at him.
He's just going down this hilland we're walking down this
concrete cart path.
(11:38):
That is like God dang a rollercoaster at Cedar Point.
So people always say walkingdown a hill is harder than
walking up a hill.
Well, let me just tell you thisI walked down this hill, signed
the catch up with John, my dad.
I told him we'll just meet youon whatever green that is.
You ain't walking down thisdamn thing, dude.
(12:00):
And I forgot to mention it's sohot, we literally haven't even
seen a tee shot yet.
And the dude right in front ofme, old guy, straight to the
ground, heat exhaustion right infront of me, damn.
Now I'm worried about my dad.
Of course, instantly Back tothis hole, this par five number
four.
You got to walk down this hill.
(12:21):
Walk up this hill.
Johnny's already gone.
I'm trying to catch him.
Dude, unbelievable, this placeright Up down.
You've been to Augusta.
Yeah, augusta is super hilly, but the thing about Augusta is
the greens and the tee boxes areright on top of each other.
Speaker 1 (12:40):
Yeah.
Scott (12:41):
Dude this place.
No chance.
The players in caddies got twocart rides from green to T,
that's how insane it is thatshit don't happen.
You know what I'm saying?
That's how ridiculous this is.
So, anyhow, we watch Rick andRick play the front nine and
(13:02):
then you know we got a timeoutright.
I'm like let's just go to the18th green, watch everybody come
in.
We'll catch Fowler and Rickwhen they're done.
So we did.
Anyhow.
I'm talking to Rick to removeme after the round.
We're trying to figure outwhere to go eat.
And he goes dude, how'd youlike that?
Golf course, I'm like dude.
(13:22):
You didn't tell me I needed acream to get up and down these
goddang hills.
And he goes dude.
Funny thing is, on like the14th hole, fowler looks at me
and he goes dude, I ain't seenScotty Watt for a while.
And I'm like ain't no chance,bro.
And he's like dude.
I mean, I'm 47 and was worn out.
(13:47):
I can only imagine John and mydad.
You know what I mean, Dude, itwas brutal.
Graham (13:53):
You couldn't rent a
scooter for them.
Scott (13:57):
Dude, there was people
pushing baby strollers.
I'm like what in the hell areyou faking?
Have you ever?
Graham (14:03):
I mean they didn't know.
I'm like just like you.
Hell, are you faking?
Have you ever?
I mean they didn't know.
I'm like just like you, theyhad no idea.
Scott (14:09):
No, no clue.
So anyhow, we're hooking upwith romance for dinner later
that night.
And you know, he finally getsthere and I'm like, dude, this
golf course is no joke, bro.
And he goes.
Dude, when you texted me andtold me you were coming, I
didn't want to discourage you, like you had no idea what you
(14:31):
were getting yourself into, andI'm like, no, I did not, dude,
brutal.
Graham (14:39):
I mean it was smart both
ways.
Scott (14:43):
It was smart for him not
to tell you it was, it was and
was I going to go regardless.
A hundred percent Right, youknow it, it, it, we were going
regardless, you know it doesn'tmatter, but anyhow did we go out
and have dinner.
You know, I haven't seen Romanosince you know the masters and
since the Masters that was whenhe had the little caddy bib on
(15:04):
and he's got to be professionaland stuff.
So it was fun to hang out withRomano have dinner.
My dad had never met him, obviously, johnny hadn't met him
.
We sat there, dude, for two anda half hours just shooting the
shit, talking golf, talking theworld, talking adventures that
you, me and him had had in thepast.
It was awesome, dude, and youknow he's talking and this is
(15:29):
where it gets real.
He says well, if you would havetold me a month and a half ago
that you and I would be havingdinner right now at the BMW
championship, I would have toldyou you're a nut job.
After the season they had Right, just to get in the top 50 and
be at the BMW.
Insane, right, insane.
(15:51):
But he kept saying he goes, dude, this guy's hitting it so
good and he's working his assoff.
And you know all things thatI've told you and started
talking about some old storiesand on tour with different
players here and there and youknow it was a fun night.
Like I said, you know howRomano is and how dramatic he
(16:12):
can be when we're talking aboutstuff.
You know all the reasons welove Romano.
Graham (16:17):
Oh, for sure.
Scott (16:18):
You know, he's, he's.
Finally, we're like all right,it's time to roll.
Lady brings the tab and romanawhips out that card so fast,
like, and my dad's like no, no,no, I got it.
And romana's like, no, I got ithere.
(16:38):
Roll.
And I'm like, dad, yeah, letthe man get it.
He just made 70 Gs last week, right.
And my dad's like, oh, yeah,he's got this.
It was classic, dude, it wasclassic.
So you know, as we're leaving,I'm like all right, your tee
time tomorrow is at 1130 or 1230.
(17:00):
I don't know Whatever.
I'm like what time are yougoing to be on the putting green
?
He goes well, whatever.
I'm like what time you gonna beon the putting green, he goes
well.
If you fucks can find it, it'sgonna be.
We'll be there about an hourand a half before our tea time.
So you know, we.
His tea time was 12 30yesterday, so we got.
He said we'll be there about 1115.
So we got to the putting greenaround 11 and I texted him like,
yo, we found the putting green, let's go.
(17:20):
And so him and Fowler show up,dude, about I don't know, 11, 20
, whatever.
And he like beelines itstraight for me and he goes yo,
we're going to have you guyscome on the range with us.
And I'm like, yeah, cool, we'regoing to watch you hit some
balls.
And he goes no, dude, likeFowler said, he didn't get to
(17:41):
hang out and talk with you muchyesterday, so we're going to
have you on the range, what?
And I'm like, oh damn, let's go, hello.
So he goes.
When we get done putting uphere, he goes.
Walk down to that area rightthere where that security guard
is in the rope, he goes, he'llwave you in.
You guys are on the range, badabing, bada boom.
Graham (18:07):
Next thing, you know,
we're on the range.
Scott (18:09):
I mean, it was super sick
, it was cool, it was.
It was the best thing about itis, you know, I haven't seen
fowler since the masters twoyears ago and it was just like
old days, dude.
Yeah, I mean I couldn't, I wastelling you last night, but it
was that cool to have my dad,who he's never met.
(18:32):
If it was just him and my dad,me and my dad, okay, but then I
got Johnny with me.
Oh yeah, and he's got a Johnnydown there, right, I mean all
three of us.
It's Saturday morning of theBMW championship.
He's T12.
He's trying to get in the top30, to get exempt in all the
majors next year and not tomention move on to the tour
(18:54):
championship where last placewins $330,000.
And here we are on the range.
Graham (19:01):
Last place wins $330,000
.
Scott (19:05):
Jesus, here's Wah down
there waggling club.
You know I'm grabbing his shitout of his bag messing around
and my dad's like ricky, is itokay if I take some pictures?
Do whatever you want, dude.
I mean it was sick, right.
I mean it was so awesome.
My buddy johnny looks at me,goes.
Dude, everything you've saidabout this guy is spot on, right
(19:29):
.
He's so laid back.
We're down here on the range.
Everybody else is like grinding, like they're in a library
getting ready for thistournament, yeah, and he's down
here going.
Hey, wow, let me see if I canmove this one a little farther
for you.
I'm looking at his launchmonitor, numbers and stuff.
We're chatting about clubs,this.
That Dude, it was sick, insane.
(19:54):
And then I turned around and Ikept forgetting.
People were behind us, like thewhole grandstand's full right,
and I look at Johnny and I'mlike bro, you know how many
pictures we're going to be infrom little kids taking pictures
of the Fowler.
Graham (20:08):
That is unbelievable.
Scott (20:11):
And he's like oh my God,
I never thought about that.
Graham (20:15):
Hey, you were the swing
coach on Saturday at the range.
Scott (20:18):
It was sick.
Third round of the BMW I mean, and the funny thing is Johnny
wore a Puma shirt that I gavehim and he goes, man.
These people in the crowd mightthink I'm like a big wig at
Puma.
I'm like it's probably goingthrough their minds.
You have a Puma shirt on, youknow, possibilities are endless.
Graham (20:40):
I'm somebody.
Scott (20:44):
So, as we're wrapping it
up you know, romano was like
dude, we got to take a pictureof all of us to send out to the
fantasy football thread, ofcourse.
And I'm like, oh dude, we haveto, right.
So we got a couple pictures andI sent it to Kristen and
everybody.
And Kristen responds I've neverseen your dad smile that much.
He didn't even smile that muchin a goddang family picture.
(21:05):
So we're dying, right.
So we're wrapping up on therange and Fowler looks at me and
he goes hey, I'm going to go tothe other putting green for a
few minutes and then we'll walkover to the first tee together
and we'll go.
So we go to the other puttinggreen, he talks with his trainer
, this and that, and we're like, walking over to the first team,
(21:25):
he goes can I get you a beer?
Anything out of the locker room?
Y'all want some beers.
And I'm like no, how about somewaters?
Speaker 1 (21:31):
Right.
Scott (21:31):
I'm like it's too hot,
it's too hilly, I don't want a
beer.
And he's like, all right.
And he goes in, grabs us somewater.
And we're just finishing up ourconversation and I'm talking to
him and all of a sudden, out ofleft field, he goes hey, scotty
, meet my friend Scotty.
(21:53):
And I turn around and it'sScheffler what?
And he goes hey, scott, I'mScott.
Yeah, no shit, you're Scott.
I know who the fuck you are, bro.
And we shake hands and it wasover, just like that, and my
dad's like son of a bitch I wastrying to get my phone out so
(22:13):
fast.
Could you imagine if we hadthat on video?
Hey, scotty, meet my friendscotty.
Dude, it was sick, it wasawesome, it was legit.
I mean I'm like, oh my god, IGod I just met Schaeffler.
And you know I don't, you knowI'm not starstruck, but it is
Scotty Schaeffler.
I'm more happy hanging out withRick.
Graham (22:34):
Oh my God.
So remembered what we weretalking about last night when I
was like there's something elsethat this reminds me of yo, so
speaking of missed opportunities, with your dad in the photo, it
just made me think of oh, younot going to augusta.
(22:55):
What was that three years ago?
Yeah, whatever we were talkingabout last night.
I'm like I something else.
It's on the tip of my tonguehere.
I just can't think about it.
But hey, it's a praise to youfor being in such a spectacular
situation that you could bethere and just be like hey, it
(23:15):
happened, I got witnesses.
I'd like it to be for morewitnesses, but at least you also
saw it, so I'm good with that.
Scott (23:26):
Dude, it was my dad's
like, oh my God, can I shake
your hand?
He's like Scotty just touchedyou.
It was dude, it was sick.
I mean it was so awesome, Imean, and it was just like boom,
boom, it happened so fast Icouldn't be like, hey, scotty,
can I get a picture?
I mean he just got done in theworkout room, going in the
locker room to shower, to getready to go to the range,
(23:49):
whatever it is what it is, andI'm with Rick and Rick and I'm
trying to play it cool.
You know, I'm not trying to bea fan oh no, of course not.
Graham (23:55):
The worst part is, you
know, scheffler would do it, he
would have done it without adoubt that's the thing mean.
And his mind is like, oh, comeon, guy, but yeah sure.
Scott (24:06):
Yeah, 100% would have
done it, but I mean it was super
sick.
I mean I was just like afterthat moment, you know, my dad
had never met Fowler, my dad hadnever met Romano.
My dad literally said to Fowleron the range he goes.
(24:30):
Hey, rick, I'll never forgetthe first time Scott ever played
golf with you when you were afreshman in high school.
He told me I just played withthis kid that will be on the PGA
Tour and will win on the tour, and Rick was like, does your boy
know talent or is your boy notalent?
You're welcome.
So you're welcome, but it wasjust, it was sick, dude.
It was so cool for my dad beingable to meet him and you know,
(24:54):
and romance, you know, romanceis one of my best friends, you
know, one of our, I mean.
Speaker 1 (24:59):
Yeah.
Scott (25:01):
You know it was super
cool.
It made all the struggling upand down hills on thursday worth
it.
Graham (25:09):
You know what I mean bro
, there's vip treatment and then
there's like that exclusivestuff that only, like, the
billionaires that have theirspecial concierge are like yo,
make a call, you can get this.
Isn't this, like you know, whenyou were talking about being on
the driving range and gettingthat photo, you know, for us you
could put it in the in ourfantasy league.
(25:30):
Amazingly, when you weretelling that, I'm just thinking
I'm like the only chance, ifpeople were even lucky enough to
get this photo.
But here's my point just to getthe photo would be one thing.
To do it on a Saturday, likethey're doing that in the Monday
pro-am.
Scott (25:49):
And they paid 20 Gs to
play in that.
Graham (25:51):
Exactly Like that's a
Monday at best case scenario.
The fact, as you were saying, this is Saturday of the BMW cuts
at 30.
You know, everyone is straightfocused and for Fowler'slers
like yeah, bro, I missed youyesterday, come on down, I got
you like, and romano kept sayingthis was all fowler's idea.
Scott (26:11):
Yeah, and that right
there shows you what kind of
person he is.
Graham (26:18):
Oh 100%.
Scott (26:21):
And sorry, Dad, I just
ruined your Christmas present.
And Johnny, I know you don'tknow social media and stuff, but
that photo is getting printed, going straight to Jupiter,
Florida, getting signed andgetting in a frame.
Graham (26:34):
Oh yeah.
Scott (26:36):
So, dad, sorry I just
ruined it, but, but whatever,
you'll still love it when youget it.
Graham (26:45):
But no, whatever, you
can't edit that out no, that's
not why I'm editing out, ohfolks what you were gonna do it
for me no no last night when youbroke this, it for me, no, no.
Last night, when you broke thisdown for me, we were talking
about it.
What did you say at the end?
Scott (27:05):
I have no idea by the
time I got home.
Dude, I was such on a rush.
No, it's all good yeah.
Graham (27:13):
Yeah, on a rush, we
chatted for three hours last
night.
Scott (27:20):
Dude, I was so excited I
mean mean because I got the
videos of him on the range, that's what it's like and I I
was so excited to get him get onmy ipad and get on my my golf
instruction app and just breakit down.
You know, I was such a golfnerd.
I was like god damn, we got twohours left.
Graham (27:38):
Oh, I can't wait to get
on this thing but no, what I was
referring to was last night, uh, when you asked me or not asked
, or brought up whichever.
Um, because I also was like youknow what?
Because you're like hey, whydon't you look for flights and
you know I did.
You asked like, hey, hey, am Ijealous of the situation?
(27:59):
Because you were trying to comeout and honestly, and as I
talked about last time, I waslike no, I'm like dude, I'm so
happy that you had thatexperience with Romano and
Fowler.
I mean, yes, if I could havemade it it would have been
absolutely amazing, but I'mhappy for you and the whole
situation.
Now, I'm happy for you and thewhole situation.
Now, I'm not going to lie.
Hearing about this damn photogetting signed by him kind of
(28:27):
taking me over the edge now alittle bit.
Scott (28:30):
to be honest, it was so
cool, like I said, dude for my
dad to be down there in thatsituation.
Graham (28:37):
Oh, for sure.
Scott (28:38):
I was like why didn't you
grab any of his clubs?
He goes.
I didn't want my sweaty handson his grips.
I'm like Dad, that's whatromance is for.
He'll clean those damn thingsoff.
Graham (28:48):
Dying.
Well, if that's the case, let'sgive a shout out to our boy,
badju, who asked for some ofthose NetJet towels Right.
Scott (28:54):
God, but something funny
as shit.
You know I'm looking at thedriver and we're talking about
it.
And you know I'm looking at thedriver face and you know the T
mark for where your driver hitsthe T at impact.
They're literally in the sizeof half a dime, right in the
middle of the driver.
(29:15):
And I show it to Johnny and I'mlike Johnny, this looks just
like your driver right.
And Fowler turns around and he'slike, yeah, johnny, same but
different, right, and we'redying dude.
It's hilarious, it was just, itwas sick, dude.
It was awesome.
I was riding high, I was sopumped for my dad to put him in
that situation and Johnny dad toput him in that situation.
(29:40):
And and johnny, like johnny wastalking about it the whole way
home.
So, anyhow, we go out, we watchhim play one, two, three.
We went back, we watched rory, because my dad had never seen
rory, and then we picked fowlerup on, uh, the back nine, and
let me just tell you, the backnine at caves valley, thank god,
it's totally different than thefront nine.
It ain't like you're a billygoat again, right?
So Fowler hits this wedge on 11, almost jars it, spins it back,
(30:04):
hits it to like two inches.
And we're walking with themfrom 11 green to 12T.
And I look over and I say toRicky I'm like Rick, romance
finally gave you a good number, huh.
And he's like, yeah, every oncein a while I'll come through
with a good number.
And Ramona's like, come on, man, like giving me shit back.
So they hit their shot on 12,their tee shot in the left rough
(30:29):
and I went to go.
They had hydration stations allover the course because it was
hotter than piss and I took thethree water bottles to go get
them refilled.
And my dad and John are walkingup and they're like, hey, if
y'all want some cold waters, meet us on 13T.
And so they told me that when Ifinally got back and I'm like,
hell yeah, these waters are pisswarm, let's go.
(30:51):
So we get on 13T and we're justwaiting for them to hit their
shots and I'm like y'all readyto get some looks from everybody
else in this gallery?
And they're like what are youtalking about?
I'm like when he hands uswaters out of there, watch the
looks we get.
And so 245-yard par 3, thanksfor coming.
Fowler hits a four, iron hits adick tight.
(31:14):
Jonathan Vegas hits it or no,he's playing with penders.
Yesterday, romano comes over tothe cooler come, walks over to
the ropes, hands me three watersand everybody's looking like
what in the shit?
And then he's like and asfowler was hitting, like I tried
to get on my tippy toes and Ilike nudged this chick next to
me and she was pretty hot.
(31:34):
I left that part out, I know, Itold you that last night.
And Romano's like yeah, I wantsome more.
And Johnny and my dad hadalready walked off with their
ice cold waters.
And I'm like yeah, I do, it'shot as piss.
And so he grabs me three more.
And now I got my original oneand three more and I'm like I
looked at the chick next to me.
I'm like hey, you want a freewater since I stepped on you.
(31:57):
He's like yeah hell, yeah, I'lltake it.
And she's like if I follow youaround, can I get some more?
I'm like, maybe, but it wasclassic, dude, it was classic
caught up with romano.
I'm like dude, appreciate it.
And he goes dude, I gotta keepmy boys hydrated because we
don't need y'all spending eightdollars of water.
And the little kid in front ofme me is like geeking out that
(32:19):
I'm talking to Fowler Caddy andhe goes this was $6 for this
bottle of Aquafina.
And Ron was like there, you go,wah, but you know, it was just
awesome.
You know I was so excited andready to watch today that I was
so wired, I mean, I was up upforever.
I woke up late, I had to go towork for two hours tonight.
(32:41):
They teed off at one, you knowstarts off with a bogey on one,
and I'm like, oh, it's not whatwe need.
You know, and you know sorryeverybody, that we're not
talking about scotty and and bob, but we'll get to that here in
a few oh, for sure but but thenyou know, rick makes bogey on
(33:02):
one, you know.
Then he starts going crazy, dude, he shoots.
What do you shoot on the front?
I mean we were talking aboutearlier.
Um, with a bogey, shoots threeunder with a bogey, makes four
birdies on the front.
Okay, boge, bogey's one, thenbirdie's four, five, seven and
nine, then birdie's 10.
And I'm like, oh damn Right, ofcourse, bogey's 12, then
(33:26):
birdie's 13.
And I'm like, oh my God, he'sonly four back.
I'm like, screw, top 30.
Let's come in second.
Let's second, let's win thisthing right, go on a run like.
I've seen that putter get hotin person.
Let's go, yeah.
And then it happened he madebogey on 14 from the middle of
(33:46):
the fairway and then he madedouble on 15 from the middle of
the fairway and it was just likea kick to the dick, dude, I
just gotten to work.
I'm watching it in the golfshop.
I got to go upstairs and minglewith members and be all happy
and I'm just like, no, I want tokick somebody's dog right now.
Speaker 1 (34:08):
And.
Scott (34:08):
I love dogs Jesus.
I would never do that if Pete islistening.
I love dogs.
Relax.
Okay, dude, it was so awesome.
I would never do that if Peteis listening.
I love dogs that relax.
Okay, dude, it was so awesome, like I had to drive to work and
I'm watching it on my phone, akalistening to it mostly, and I'm
listening and watching all thetexts from everybody in our
(34:30):
fantasy thread and all the textslet's fucking go, let's go.
We made that, like everybody.
I'm just like gettinggoosebumps even thinking about
it right now and you know, Iknow Romano's going to see this
after he gets off the course andI'm just like this is so sick.
The bogey didn't kill him, dude.
The double, obviously we knowthat.
(34:51):
But and the shot he hit?
The announcers assumed that itleft their club face.
They're like oh my God, this isright at the flag.
And then it's 25 yards long, bouncing off the grandstands.
Graham (35:01):
The next shot didn't
help.
Scott (35:03):
Got under that thick
rough I mean he had to try to
hit a perfect shot.
You're in that situation.
You're trying to make pars.
He's right on that number, dude.
Graham (35:12):
And exactly like look,
golf is hard enough.
We've talked about that at manylengths.
But, folks, when you're in theplayoffs, this is it, there's
only one other.
Yeah, you're on the back nine.
If you got to make moves, yougot to make moves, let's go.
(35:33):
You got to throw darts, you gotto put yourself in a chance to
win, not like, oh, I'm going tolay over here safe and then have
like a 30 footer, it's likeevery shot and he made that dub
and I'm like, all right If hebirdies 16, par 17 and 18, harry
(35:54):
Hall and his stupid.
Scott (35:57):
If he can choke a little
bit, you know we're good.
And he stripes it, dude on.
On 16, the par 5, they movedthe tees up a little bit so the
guys could go after it.
He hit it 318 off the tee.
He had 244 in and I'm thinkingin my mind, alright, he's got no
3 wood, all he's got is thismini driver and then a 4 iron.
(36:18):
I'm thinking in my mind, allright, he's got no three wood,
all he's got is this mini driverand then a four iron.
I'm like, what the hell is hegoing to hit?
And I'm like and they didn'tshow it on TV, I'm watching it
on the PGA Tour app and I'mthinking, well, he hit four iron
yesterday on that par three.
That was 245.
Obviously that's a littledifferent because the ball's
floating on a tee and then thenext thing you see on the
(36:40):
telecast is he got like 30 yardsin.
I'm like, oh, he must not hit agood second shot.
Yeah, and it looks like henipped it perfectly on the par
five, but it just didn't catchand grab and went over the green
makes par.
Yeah then par 17 bars, but Idon't know, dude, all I can say
is just quote Romano a month anda half ago.
(37:03):
If you would have told us we'dbe here, you would.
I would have told you you're anidiot Something I heard on a
podcast last week that I sent toyou.
I didn't realize this.
He's been playing so much thisyear.
He's only been in a house inJupiter 11 nights since April.
That's insane.
(37:23):
Like when I was talking toRomano the other night.
He goes wow, I just want to gohome.
Dude, I've been on the road, yeah, I just want to go home.
He goes I bought a new house inMichigan.
I've been there four days.
I haven't even stayed the nightthere because I had no
furniture.
I just want to go home.
Graham (37:42):
That's insane.
I mean, but all I got to say isno, go ahead I was just going to
say they're real people withreal lives, they got stuff going
on.
I mean I mean, look, waswatching the back nine.
It was just like the gust ofwind just kind of like, just
(38:03):
like just sucked in.
You know what I mean.
And it's just like because ofthe momentum and how excited we
were and everything, it's justlike I'm still grateful for what
he was able to do to get to thepoint that he was at.
But it's just like when you'reright there and then, especially
because at that point before hehad the bogey and then went
(38:26):
double bogey, your boy was inlike 25th spot so he could have
afforded to at least had one ofthose bogeys.
But that double, yeah, thatthat didn't help.
And it's just like, after thathappened I'm like you know he
normally can bounce back prettyeasily, but it's just like some
(38:46):
of those shots to not make it onthe green and regulation from
the fairway in back-to-backholes.
And then I mean, look, he wasaggressive on 17, that t-shot
that he hit, oh shit, that saidwater.
I thought it was toast thewhole way.
Yeah, but he had, he had to doit.
Scott (39:08):
So I mean he had to take
it on.
Yeah, you know what, dude, Imean.
When it all comes down to it,I'm stoked, yeah, yeah, we're
bummed, but we're also stoked,oh for sure.
Because his world ranking isgoing to just get so much better
.
Oh, and he's in the signatureevent next year.
(39:31):
He can make his own schedule.
They don't have to go play theJohn Deere Sorry Badger.
They don't have to go play the3Mere sorry Badger.
They don't have to go play the3M, they can go play where they
want to play, but so close.
I mean the guaranteed majorswould have been nice.
Graham (39:50):
That's what sucks but I
mean, hey, if he can build on
what happened this last monthand a half you know the start of
next year and go from there.
There's no if, dude.
I'm just saying there's no if.
I agree.
Scott (40:06):
There's no if To the moon
2026 is going to be a Ricky
Fowler year, and what I can sayright now and it came out
earlier in the week, maybeMonday or Tuesday I'm just going
to say a couple of things, acouple of comments, and then
(40:29):
we'll go into Instagram postsfrom some certain you know golf
social media site.
A couple of things, a couple ofthings that I wanted to really
put out there.
Ricky's a fan favorite Okay, afan favorite.
His favorite player was ArnoldPalmer.
What do people love aboutArnold Palmer?
(40:50):
He would sit there and signautographs.
Kids loved him.
You go to events nowadays.
Kids love him.
Okay, he walked on the firsttee yesterday and the place went
ape shit.
Do you think they made a soundfor taylor penderth?
who no offense taylor penderth.
(41:12):
I'm sorry for sure you're agreat player, but everywhere, as
we're literally walking, as I'msneaking under the ropes that
Ricky's waving the securityguard on, there's a little kid
with a flag.
He stops, signs that flag.
Guess what?
That kid might be a golfer forlife.
Now, because of what Ricky justdid.
Yeah, okay, he didn't have todo it.
(41:35):
You're not supposed to signautographs in tournament rounds,
but Ricky took 10 seconds outof his time to sign that
autograph for that kid.
Okay, kids everywhere.
Like I said to John, we'regoing to be in all these kids'
photographs that they take onthe range.
Okay, guess what?
If those kids are at that event, that means their parents
(41:57):
bought tickets to get them thereand that also means their
parents are going to go buymerchandise.
And if I'm a sponsor and I'mpaying millions and millions and
millions of dollars and I getexemptions in the tournaments
that I can pick, who the F Iwant to be there, let me ask you
(42:18):
a question.
If you're somebody and you'regiven a spot to, it comes down
to Ricky Fowler or Chris Kirkwho are you giving that
exemption to?
Graham (42:30):
I mean, it's a pretty
solid point.
Scott (42:34):
So, with that being said,
fried egg whatever the hell you
call yourself with that blaston saying how it was unfair for
this and that that Fowler gothalf of his FedEx Cup points
because he got exemptions in thesignature events.
You have no point who yourtheory is irrelevant.
(42:57):
The only question I have foryou is, after you posted all
that nonsense and bullshit haveyou ever been to a pga tour
event?
Have you ever watched all thefans engaged with rick?
Have you ever watched the kidsthat are in his gallery?
Have you ever seen the kidswith the flat bill hats and the
(43:20):
orange?
Probably not, because you wouldprobably wouldn't have posted
that if you have.
I was thinking all day am Igonna do this kick rocks moment
and cut you out and call youstupid and this and that, but no
, I just have that question.
I'm gonna be professional.
Call you stupid and this andthat, but no, I just have that
question.
I'm going to be professionalcall you out, say you're stupid,
(43:41):
tell you to think about whatyou post and maybe go to an
event next year and maybe lookaround, follow Ricky for 18
holes and see the kids that arethere.
Has Ricky had a shitty two years?
I'll be the first to say it.
Yeah, he has, but guess what?
It doesn't bother him when he'son the course, it doesn't
(44:04):
bother him when he's signingautographs for those kids.
And I'll just ask you anotherquestion Sponsor exemption,
ricky Fowler.
Chris Kirk and I like ChrisKirk.
Nothing against Chris Kirk.
Chris Kirk and I like ChrisKirk nothing against Chris Kirk
I.
Graham (44:20):
It makes complete sense
to me.
I mean, as you were going offon that little, I mean I
wouldn't call it a rant, but Imean semi rant.
What was I was trying to be?
More composed you know it waspolite, it was the polite rant
everybody's can have theiropinion.
For sure, for sure.
Scott (44:41):
But before you spout out
about shit, educate yourself.
Graham (44:49):
Know your role and slow
it.
Speaker 1 (44:52):
Know your role and
shut the hell up, it shut the
hell up.
Graham (44:58):
What I was thinking
about was, besides Sunday Tiger
Red, which is infamous in golf, especially in the last 30 years
Absolutely Whose top two, three,four?
Scott (45:18):
guys that has a signature
.
Look the casual fan would knowexactly no one.
Graham (45:21):
The only other person is
ricky with the orange, like
that's been his thing since hestarted what like 15 years ago
now.
Yeah, sounds about right.
Speaker 1 (45:33):
I don't know I don't
know, it's been a while that's
what I'm saying.
Graham (45:37):
So it's just like my
point.
In saying that is this Aeveryone has their own opinion
and that's fine.
If you stand behind what yousay, then that's fine.
Other people will just sayyou're uneducated.
If you knew the response fromthe fans and how he's perceived
(45:58):
by others, then maybe youwouldn't make that comment.
So I mean, it's just ObviouslyI'm biased.
Scott (46:06):
Oh, but even looking at
it, For sure.
Unbiased.
Just the story I just toldabout him having my dad, john
and I, out on the range, ohShows you the type of person
that man is.
Graham (46:26):
I mean, look, the second
most loved player I mean in
golf, would you say is not like, and by loved I would say more
fan appreciation, not because ofhis talent but overall status
and Sheffler, but like dudeBryson, what's he do loved, I
would say more fan appreciation, not because of his talent but
overall status and sheffler, butlike dude bryson what's he do
that engages with fans exactly.
But even him is not like.
(46:46):
Do you think he's bringing it?
If he was in the same situationwith you, know a homie or a
longtime friend, you think he'sbringing him out on the range
you already know the answer.
There you go.
Scott (47:03):
He's too busy spraying
water on it to see what it does
when the launch monitor, whenthere's two on the golf ball why
?
Graham (47:08):
are you taking a shot at
him?
That was not even the point.
Scott (47:11):
I'm not.
I'm just saying I love Bryson,now that he's not a douche.
I'm just saying it's not goingto happen.
It's not going to happen, Imean, but anyhow, let's jump
into, you know, this golftournament.
Graham (47:32):
Okay, I was going to say
the rest of the tournament that
we haven't talked about.
Scott (47:35):
Yeah, I mean we all knew
what was going to happen.
Dude, big Bob had a four-shotlead and that shit was over in
like three holes.
I mean we knew scotty was rightthere oh, I mean you don't need
you don't need to speed over it.
Graham (47:46):
I mean, I'm not, I'm not
speeding over anything, you
really, I'm just saying, tellingme that you saw mcintyre, who
was, I don't want to sayfleecing the field, but had a
pretty sizable lead for thefirst.
You know, definitely two rounds.
And then Scheffler came around.
I wouldn't say out of nowhere, but, you know, got it within
three Like he was playing somegood G.
(48:06):
I mean the fact that you'resaying like he was Dude.
Scott (48:11):
did you see the Betty
lines?
Graham (48:13):
Because everyone loves
Scheffler, it's because
Scheffler is who he is.
Scott (48:18):
Vegas doesn't love
anybody.
Vegas sets the lines His live, trailing by four.
Going into the final round, scheffler was only plus 150.
Graham (48:30):
That's insane.
Scott (48:31):
I mean Bob had a
four-stroke lead and it was gone
through five holes today.
Graham (48:38):
To do that in that short
a time is also insane.
Like the funny thing is, thepeople listening to this show
would understand that math andwhat that sports, but I mean,
but it's just like to the massesto understand how strong that
is.
Four shot lead, that's what I'msaying.
You're down four and you'replus one, oh one fifty one fifty
(49:01):
, one fifty get the fuck out ofhere what I mean.
The whole world knew it wasgonna happen so I mean with the
new roles of the tourchampionship, if everyone starts
at zero, like what's Vegas' oddon him?
(49:21):
I mean, can we look at that now?
What's his odds to win the tourchampionship right now?
Which I don't know if I likethat.
I mean just being used to withthe staggered.
Scott (49:32):
But the thing is Well,
that 10 shot lead bullshit.
No 10 is ridiculous for sure, because at that point I like
what they're doing as far asthey're paying more towards the
regular finish and if youqualify for the Tour
Championship, you have a chanceto win it.
Graham (49:50):
Yeah, and I guess they
can say there's a difference
between the Tour Championshipand the FedExCup player.
You know what I mean?
It's just like oh my God, dude,I can't wait for this.
Is it under 200?
Scott (50:07):
Plus one 50 Scotty.
Speaker 1 (50:10):
What.
Scott (50:14):
Plus one 50.
Graham (50:16):
I mean, is that tough to
argue, though, with how he's
been playing?
I mean, is that tough to argue, though, with how he's been
playing?
I mean, folks, he just finishedanother event In the top 8.
Scott (50:27):
Dude, as you're saying
that 13 straight finishes of T8
or better, including 5 wins.
Graham (50:35):
I think that's tied for
the lead.
So if he does T8 or better, hewins it.
12 wins since March of 2024,including five wins.
I think that's tied for thelead.
Scott (50:39):
So if he does T8 or
better at the Tour Championship,
he wins it 12 wins since Marchof 2024, including three majors,
the players and an Olympic goldmedal.
I mean His last 13 events, last13.
Bmw wins FedEx, third OpenChampionship wins Scottish Open
(51:08):
T8, travelers T6, memorial T7,.
Strasbourg Challenge T4,.
Pga Championship wins.
Cga Cup wins Heritage eighthMasters four.
Houston Open second longeststreak of top eight finishes
since Tom Weiskopf in 1973.
Graham (51:26):
Also what I heard I
don't know if you heard this one
also second player to goback-to-back seasons of five or
more wins, yeah, yeah, what.
Scott (51:39):
What it's crazy dude.
So, as we're talking about howamazing this guy is, it's time
to start talking about how he'saffecting other things the
(51:59):
culture, the sports world andsomething I heard tonight on the
way home.
He's entered now the world ofpeople like LeBron Mahomes
tweeting about him.
Speaker 1 (52:13):
Yeah, bro.
Scott (52:20):
He is to quote Jerry.
He is relentless.
Graham (52:25):
Dude, and I know we've
mentioned it before, but as you
were just talking aboutScheffler and the stats, it's
just like, especially for howScheffler competed today and how
he came back being four downand have taken the two-stroke
win, the surprising bogeys,three-putt bogeys that he had
(52:46):
right and then bouncing backfrom that.
I'm just trying to think whatwould that Sunday be like if it
was him and Tiger in their primeand they were like even Because
they're so different of playersI mean, they're the same but
they're different.
Scott (53:04):
Yeah, they're dominant.
Yeah, but they're different.
Yeah, they're dominant.
Graham (53:05):
Yeah, yeah, they're
dominant and they win so for
just to see them compete and togo at each other and just I wow
I mean.
Scott (53:19):
I mean we all know, we'll
know.
Graham (53:21):
But just the thought of
that is just so tantalizing.
It'd be the greatest thing everseen.
Scott (53:29):
We've talked about it
over and over and over on this
show about how good of an ironplayer he is.
Right, yeah, maybe the bestever iron player.
So Friday afternoon we'resitting on the 18th green on the
grandstands.
Scotty Rory hits a drive andthis is insane.
(53:50):
This is so stupid.
You know, we all know Rory hitsit deep, deep, deep.
So the least yardage we sawinto the 18th hole for the two
hours on Friday that we weresitting there, because they had
it on the scoreboard was like155 yards.
Okay, you know what Rory had inon Friday 60.
(54:12):
130.
So obviously Scotty's playingwith him in the first two rounds
.
Scotty hooks it left in the andthis deep cabbage and the
ball's below his feet.
Literally we know he's notgonna be able to spin the ball
because he's coming out of thedeep hit and he hits this iron I
(54:35):
don't know what it was andliterally hits it.
The ball lands like two feetfrom pin high.
Obviously we know it to jump, goes to the back of the green,
but I'm like this is how muchcontrol this guy has with his
irons.
He landed the ball two feetfrom being pin high out of this
deep shit and people that don'tunderstand golf and understand
(54:57):
you know that aren't golf nerdslike us when you can't control
the golf ball coming out of therough.
Yeah, it bounced to the back ofthe green, whatever, but he
landed it right there.
Speaker 1 (55:10):
Right.
Scott (55:11):
Dude.
Graham (55:13):
I mean, as the kids say,
there's levels to this game,
like he's just another level, dude it's absolutely insane and
I'll tell you one thing I'mhappy he's going to be playing
for Team USA and bounce backfrom that performance he gave a
couple years ago it wasn't.
Scott (55:35):
He played well, besides
the fact that he got beat 8-7,
7-6 or something but it was alittle.
I mean, it wasn't great speakingof slap yourself moments, you
and I both deserve our listenersa smack yourself moment,
because we were talking lastweek about the rider cup and how
we know everybody on the team.
(55:56):
We obviously didn't read itcorrectly.
After today, the top sixplayers.
That's locked.
Okay.
After the standings of today'sevent we said we'd know the
entire team on Monday.
Oh, so at a count of three,we'll just go ahead and smack
ourselves One, two, three.
(56:17):
You're welcome everybody.
Damn.
So.
Top six dude after today, automatically on the team
Scheffler, spahn, shoffley, henley, harrison, lewis and
Bryson.
How about Bryson getting anautomatic on the Ryder cup just
from his major finishes?
Graham (56:36):
Hey, if you win certain
things, you get the spoils of
those certain things.
I mean, hey, you get the spoilsof those certain things.
I mean, hey, what's moreimportant If you won five times
on the PGA Tour in one season,or if you won one major and
that's it?
What would you rather have?
Is it really a question?
(56:57):
That's my point.
So it's like yeah.
Scott (57:01):
So here we go, dude, we
got.
I think next Wednesday, yeah, after the tour championship.
Right, the captain's picks willbe announced.
And anybody more deserving thanBen Griffin that played with
Keegan today, bro, after he didwhat he did playing with keegan
(57:24):
after his start?
you, you can't dude, you knowhow much pressure oh, exactly
and they said they asked bengriffin walking to the first tee
.
What do you think you need todo to get the automatic top six
today?
He goes.
I think I need to shoot 63.
(57:44):
Playing with Keegan and hecomes out of the gate and does
what.
Graham (57:50):
Triple on the first,
double on the second and then
bogey on the third Six over.
Scott (57:55):
Six over through three
and then finishes the front nine
Birdie, birdie, birdie to shoot38.
And then shoots 31 on the backfour under to shoot under bar
when you're six over two.
Graham (58:08):
Three if there's ever a
round to show someone that you
got grit and resilience and todo it with the man that makes
the decisions in your group Like, can we just put a checkmark
already on that?
He is in ninth place accordingto the rankings.
Scott (58:33):
I don't know, man, we
gotta have some rookies.
I like him For sure.
Graham (58:39):
I like him.
I mean, dude, look how muchMcNeely stepped up.
He finished tied for third, like the stage ain't too big for
him.
I mean, dude, look how muchMcNeely stepped up.
He finished tied for third, like the stage ain't too big for
him.
I wouldn't you know.
Scott (58:52):
And Jerry texted me at
some point today.
Obviously I didn't see the endbecause I was kicking dogs after
.
Fowler didn't get in Right,he's talking shit on Sam Burns.
He's like what's he say?
Sam Burns is not a Ryder Cupplayer, Can't deal with the
pressure.
Graham (59:12):
What did Sam Burns shoot
in the final round?
Like he finished tight forsecond, didn't he?
Scott (59:19):
And this is the same
person I got to rewind back
yesterday.
He sent me like a hundred textmessages when we were on the way
home.
He sends me a text, he goes DJin the lead, and I'm like who is
DJ?
Obviously I know who he'stalking about.
And he goes a Ryder Cup pick, that's who.
(59:40):
And he goes do it Keegan andCaptain USA Patrick Reed pick,
that's who.
And he goes do it keegan andcaptain usa, patrick reed.
I'm like jerry.
I'm like jerry.
You have a better chance tomake giving a captain's pick
than dustin johnson you know,scott?
Graham (59:56):
yeah, after hearing that
comment, all I can say is you
keep a few friends in the in thecircle of trust dude, he's
doing it, teacher.
Scott (01:00:13):
He's doing it to try to
get me going.
I mean he's like a live tour,deep throater.
I mean we all know that.
I mean the pga tour sucks.
But hey, jerry, what were youwatching all?
Graham (01:00:26):
day today and yesterday
texting me about.
Scott (01:00:27):
Yeah, exactly, I mean
just saying.
I mean, whatever, as we'regetting ready to close this out,
they probably don't have theRyder Cup standings up to date,
but I'm going to look at itanyway.
Graham (01:00:46):
I'm on their side right
now.
The only thing that changed wasBrian Harmon went from 12th to
13th and Andrew Novak slipped in.
Andrew Novak's 13?
No, andrew Novak went from 13thto 12th.
Harmon went from 12th to 13thand Cam Young went up.
He swapped places with Cantley,so he went from.
Scott (01:01:07):
What's Cam Young at now?
14.
Oh, that's what I got him at,yeah, 14.
Don't forget, your boyguaranteed Cam Young on the team
you did, and he started offslow.
How did he finish 11th?
Graham (01:01:23):
I mean that's not bad,
yeah, and he started off slow.
How did he finish 11.
I mean, that's not bad.
Speaker 1 (01:01:28):
Yeah.
Graham (01:01:29):
I mean, he shot even
today but I mean, if he makes it
top 10 in the Tour Championship, is he on?
He's on regardless.
Well, I'm asking the guy thatalready guaranteed him on.
So, all right, shame on me, theWastradamus over here that can
see talent in high school on thePGA Tour.
Scott (01:01:51):
Well, good point right
there.
I like it, I like it.
Good job, graham.
You remembered I mean he shotdude.
Cam Young shot four over in thefirst round of this event.
Graham (01:02:03):
And finished at what?
10?
, 9?
.
Scott (01:02:07):
Finished at five under
Still.
Graham (01:02:09):
To go from four over to
five under.
That's pretty effing good yeah.
Scott (01:02:14):
He went 66 on Friday to
65 on Saturday and shot even
today.
Yeah, you're in, Start fittingmy guy for his red, white and
blue.
Graham (01:02:27):
That's almost a month
away.
Scott (01:02:29):
Sam Burns is in.
Yeah, I agree.
I mean, I'm kind of thinkingthat Keegan's not going to pick
himself right now.
I don't know why, thinking thatKeegan's not going to pick
himself right now, I don't knowwhy I want him to, but I don't
(01:02:50):
know.
Graham (01:02:54):
I know what you would
want You'd skip Morikawa, so
you'd go JT Griffin, bradleyMcNeely, cam Young and then Sam
Burns.
That's it.
Scott (01:03:10):
Where are you looking at
the updated standings at
RyderClubcom?
Oh, okay, they probably haven'tupdated them, but all right, so
we have our first six RyderClub.
I'm going to look this up.
Graham (01:03:25):
But I'm just saying.
The only other people that Ididn't talk about was Brian
Harmon Cantley, and then reallyit's Updated.
Scott (01:03:34):
These are updated August
10th.
Speaker 1 (01:03:36):
Yeah.
Scott (01:03:36):
So I mean I'd take JT Ben
Griffin, keegan, sam Young
Cantley.
Graham (01:03:45):
Burns.
Wow.
So Cantley over McNeely is theonly difference.
Yep.
Speaker 1 (01:03:51):
All right.
Scott (01:03:52):
Yep, I just don't want
any part of Morikawa.
Unfortunately, he's probablygoing to be picked.
I don't want any.
I mean McNeely.
No offense, bro.
Brian Harmon.
Graham (01:04:06):
Well, hey, the tour
championship has.
It's another tournament toprove yourself.
Yeah, that it is.
So we can.
We can say all we want.
Right now, Our real opinionsand I mean not that these aren't
, but like the, I guess ourfinal guesses will come next
(01:04:26):
Sunday, next week, Next week'sepisode yeah, yeah, well, we're
probably not doing one Sundaybecause you're going to be in
California for a draft.
That's a very good point.
We'll be doing it, and Mondaynight for a draft.
Yeah, it will still come upbeforehand if we do it Tuesday
night, if it's possible.
Scott (01:04:46):
Yeah, or I mean
beforehand, if we do it Tuesday
night, if it's possible, yeah,or I mean we can do it Saturday.
No, when are you driving toCalifornia Saturday?
Graham (01:04:51):
But I'll be at his place
I mean he'll be at work, so I
can do it there if we wanted to.
Scott (01:04:56):
Yeah, but we don't want
to do it, because then you got
two nights of drafts.
Graham (01:04:59):
Well, it's not that it
would also be before the final
round of the tour.
That just wouldn't make anysense either.
Scott (01:05:06):
I know.
I know Anything else you wantto chat about.
I mean, the Bengals are takingtrade offers for Henderson.
Graham (01:05:16):
Yeah, I also heard that
the Packers sent an offer to the
Cowboys For what's his nuts?
Yeah, wow.
Two firsts and a second and astarting defensive player.
And when they said starting, they emphasized he wasn't a bum
(01:05:40):
Wow, yeah.
Scott (01:05:43):
That's crazy.
Graham (01:05:44):
I mean mean compared to
the Khalil Mack.
Scott (01:05:45):
Was Khalil Mack two years
or three years, three first two
, first at the same age as atthe same age, yeah.
I mean hey, he's a game changeroh, no, 100%.
Graham (01:05:59):
I just just think about
the Bengals.
I'm actually surprised they'reletting this happen.
I mean, I'm more happy forHendrickson, but your back's up
against the wall.
What are you going to do?
Homeboy ain't playing, yeah, but here's also the thing I know
.
I think he's the I don't wantto say I'm not going to say it's
a negative way, but he's likethe guy.
(01:06:20):
That's like I'm going to keepmy morals and just be like yo.
I'll just, instead of takingthe money that I'm making and
not playing, that's just goingto the fines that are.
It is what it is.
So I mean I get it.
I just it's just an intriguingsituation with what's going on,
especially considering likewe're two and a half weeks,
(01:06:40):
three weeks, from the start ofthe NFL season.
Scott (01:06:43):
Right, I mean it's close
as shit.
I mean the last preseason gamesis Thursday.
That's crazy For everybody,yeah.
But anyhow, as we get off, wegot a hurricane coming up our
way.
Hatteras mandatory evacuationstomorrow.
Tourists have to be out of theisland of Hatteras by 10 am.
Graham (01:07:07):
Oh shit.
Scott (01:07:08):
Local locals 10 am on
Tuesday.
It's category four.
You know your boy works on theOuter Banks.
Could be a little crazy at theend of the week.
Graham (01:07:23):
Hypothetically, if the
hurricane comes through where
you're at, they're not expectingyou to be there, are they?
Scott (01:07:32):
No, we'll shut down.
Yeah, no, we'll shut down.
I mean we'll get everybody outof there.
But I mean I have a path to geton the island if shit happens.
But I won path to get on theisland if shit happens, but I
won't be anywhere near the place.
Yeah, I mean they're sayinglife-threatening surf and rip
currents.
Graham (01:07:52):
Wow, I mean yeah, Now
will you just get heavy rain at
your house.
Scott (01:07:58):
Probably.
I mean.
Maybe I mean where I live.
It's not in a flood zone oranything.
Speaker 1 (01:08:03):
Oh, that's good yeah,
maybe.
Scott (01:08:03):
I mean where I live.
It's not in a flood zone oranything.
Oh, that's good.
Yeah, dude, but you know thatcould affect the tour
championship.
That's the reason I bring it up.
That's in Atlanta.
Graham (01:08:13):
Oh, I was wondering why
you were bringing that up to be
on it.
Scott (01:08:16):
The storm is, you know.
As we know, a hurricane can goanywhere, but anyhow, hopefully
it veers off and goes back inthe early ocean and everybody's
cool.
Not affected, but that's themain thing.
But as we leave tonight, friday, go to a golf tournament.
(01:08:42):
Look around, do a littleresearch, educate yourself.
Uh, graham, I was waiting allday for this episode, like I was
literally couldn't wait to saywhat I was gonna say.
I was thinking all day of, youknow, an instagram post, you
(01:09:03):
know, and I was like it's got tobe the perfect thing, you know
comparative to what you weregonna say last night when we
talked about it.
Graham (01:09:12):
Cool, common collective
brother, you did the right thing
, you took the high ground and,uh, you know, you said what you
needed to say in the most politeway of saying it.
So that's all you can do, so Iain't mad at it, scott.
Another amazing, hilariousepisode, another one for the
books.
Have a pleasure doing this withyou and, hey, as the best homie
(01:09:34):
always says, boo-bye.
Scott (01:09:37):
Good night friends.
Friday educate yourself.
Everybody else have a greatnight.
Stay safe during the hurricaneFowler.
Love you, buddy.
Thanks for doing what you didfor my dad, for Johnny Romance.
