Speaker 1 (00:04):
New blessing, new lessons, new money.
Welcome to another episode ofthe raisin vibes at the
Treehouse podcast.
In this episode, we'll divingdeep into the benefits of you
being your most authentic selfmm-hmm it's time to
unpack and give you guidance onhow to be the person you created

(00:26):
to be without worrying about theworld's expectations of you.
I'm challenge you to learn andunlearn the things you think you
know about yourself.
The pursuit of selfenlightenment, it's in our human
nature.
Like no matter how much theworld changes, we humans tend to

(00:46):
stay the same.
There's a reason, uh, plateauand Aristotles books.
They still hold up and cut us atour core.
And by that, I mean, it's theseeking of intellect wisdom and
the meaning of life that is deepinside each and every one of us.
Now we tend to view ourselvesfrom the world's perspective.
And at times through the lens ofour own insecurities, what this

(01:10):
do is it causes us to be outtacharacter.
And it disconnects us from whowe really are because we are
overly consumed with the pursuitof pleasing others.
Now, I do have good news today.
We gonna flip them thoughts, andwe gonna build off of our
positive thinking episode, andI'm gonna help you become your
most authentic self I'm yourhouse led weave.
And I truly care about yourmental wellbeing.

(01:33):
It's understood that we can allbe positive likes in this world
around us.
And my goal with this episode isto open new doors of thoughts
and truths that leads totransformation.
I thank y'all for joining meagain.
And before we move forward, Igotta ask Y these important
questions today.
Do you find yourself changingand latching onto whatever the

(01:54):
culture deems is?
Trended?
Do you strive for perfection?
And this entire leads you to behard on yourself when you make a
mistake?
Yeah.
Well you me let talk.

(02:16):
So When you are staring in theface of the culture we are
living in today, you, you mayhave a field being your true
self.
It has been ingrained in us thatwe have to live up to.
So society's loose version ofmorality, and we've seen it even
more so over this last decade, that if we don't pass the test,

(02:37):
the culture will try to cancelus and label us as something we
are not.
This can lead to people, walkingon eggshells and being passive
and speaking about the thingsthat they truly believe.
This has led to an abundance ofpeople just going with the crowd
and letting culture dictate thethoughts and beliefs that they
have, but not you you'redifferent.

(02:58):
Like you can think for yourself, but we can't dismiss the reality
that we are living in right now.
It's hard to stand up forsomething you believe in and be
your most authentic self.
The consequences can bedetrimental.
The loss of a job.
You offending your little friendgroup or my personal favorite,
the displeasing of a familymember's expectations of you.

(03:20):
I mean, I think we can all agreethat we've probably had to
essentially pick side over thelast couple years.
It should becoming thatpolarizing.
And frankly, it's set in ourcountry back more than anything
has in recent history.
We went from just being Americanto having to be a Republican or
a Democrat.
And the way I see it is it'sjust two wings of the same bird,

(03:44):
bro.
Right now we have theopportunity to stand up for what
we believe in and be our mostauthentic selves without
worrying about the ramificationsof what man thinks of us.
This is where your identitycomes into play.
Having positive thoughts aboutyourself and valuing who you
are, regardless of others'opinions of you.
Cause their thoughts about whoyou are.

(04:05):
They don't.
And I repeat, they do not defineyou.
You get your definition of whoyou are from the divine and the
world has nothing on you and youdon't need nothing from the
world when you have God on yourside.
Yes.
I am aware that some peoplelistening are still on their
spiritual journey and trying todiscover who they are and what

(04:26):
high power it is that theybelieve in.
So I won't go too deep on thatto me.
Anyway, there are practical waysyou can put your authentic self
to the test.
One of those ways is to befluid.
Now you gotta be okay withchange.
Be okay with saying that youdon't know something.
This right here is where thegreatest knowledge comes from

(04:47):
because it helps you seek andseeking is how you find truths.
Everybody.
I already know that you don'tknow everything.
So there's no need to pretendthat you do.
This is where surrendering yourego really comes.
You becoming your authentic selfis stripping away.
Your preconceived notions of whoit is you ought to be based on

(05:11):
your own ego and previouspraises for men, we all have'em.
We all have those things that wethink we gotta do because that's
the box we found ourselves in.
We committed to doing somethingyears ago.
So we feel like we can't go backon our word because now we may
be afraid of what people mightsay or think if we reverse

(05:32):
course, but you gotta be fluid.
Man.
Being fluid is going with theflow of life.
One day, you may want to be anactor.
The next day, you may wannastart a podcast ride that wave,
remove the thoughts of othersfrom your own mind and just do
the thing, bro.
It's nothing wrong withfollowing your passions.
They come from your inner trueself.
They give you life.

(05:53):
They give you meaning.
They give you enjoyment and theycan even help you find your
purpose in life.
The thing will bring you joyexperience and the opportunity
to grow and evolve into the nextversion of your most authentic
self.
We are only a few decisions awayfrom drastically improving our
lives.

(06:13):
It's time we stop trying to fitinto the world's box of
profession and start living in away that aligns with you.
Being comfortable in your ownskin is gonna level up your
character, goals andachievements.
And what I'm about to do is I'mabout to give you a few method,
tweaks and strategies to live inalignment with your true self.

(06:33):
Now I am manifesting andspeaking this into existence.
When I say that my listenersreally enjoy the tipping
guidance segment on my lastshow.
Now, with that being said, Iwould like to discuss five
powerful strategies to be yourmost authentic self.
Before we do that though, I wantto best define what being your

(06:55):
authentic self really means sothat you can have a full
understanding before we get intothe strategies.
Your authentic self is who youtruly are as a person,
regardless of your occupation.
And regardless of the influenceof others, it is an honest

(07:15):
representation of you.
It's who you are deep down.
The part of you that doesn'tcare what others think.
Authenticity means that you havea keen awareness of who you are
and what you stand for andexpressing yourself honestly,
and consistently to the world.
It's about being true toyourself, through your thoughts,

(07:37):
your words and actions, and thenhaving those three areas match
each other authenticity.
It illuminates the path forwardto little life you want, and you
do that by one, exploring yourvalues.
When we feel we are lackingauthenticity, it may be because
we aren't living out our values.

(07:59):
Do you remember a time in lifewhen you felt truly alive?
Like when everything felt right, what made it so special?
Were there people there who madeyou feel more alive in that
situation?
And then in the times that youdon't feel so good, what's
making it so block askingyourself, direct questions can

(08:20):
help you discover who you arewhen you aren't putting on that
mask and pushing your corevalues to the side.
When you get clear on thosevalues, you tend to find it
easier to make decisions in linewith your authentic self.
So you have to be aware theability to be present with

(08:42):
yourself.
No matter what's going on aroundyou is essential to
authenticity.
If you are always distracted bymental chat or reacting to
external situations, you aren'taware of your own state of
being.
As I stated in episode one, thepower of positive thinking, a

(09:03):
great way to get to knowyourself is to be present with
journaling, loosen the grip ofemotions by bringing them out of
the dog.
Journaling is an opportunity tolet go of judging yourself.
You don't have to correct yourgrandma or worry about people
liking your writing, cuz thisright here is only for you
practice taking a pause tobreathe and then check in with

(09:25):
yourself regularly throughoutthe day, slow down, breathe,
turn to a fresh page and getreal about what you thinking and
feeling this right here willstrengthen your mindfulness and
help you notice when you arebeing inauthentic with awareness
and being aware, you will findopportunities to express

(09:46):
yourself fully and then takeactions to show the real you
three, find your tribe.
Barbara D Angela said this quotethat really stuck out to me.
We need to find the courage tosay no to the things in people
that are not serving us.
If we want to rediscoverourselves and live our lives

(10:07):
with authenticity and weethnicity, that means
intentionally giving your timeand attention to people who not
only are true to themselves, butalso support you in your
journey.
One of the most joyful aspectsof life is having people with
whom you can be your true, unfair self with.
Sometimes we need that safespace where we can just be

(10:28):
ourselves and having people youcan be your authentic self
around is freeing and validatingback to strategy.
One here, take inventory of yoursocial circle from time to time,
surround yourself withsupportive people who lift you
up.
The ones that encourage you toshine as your true self they're
the ones you can show yourwitness to.

(10:49):
And they still gonna stickbeside you regardless.
They love you gotta embrace themand keep them around four.
We gotta be assertive, improvinghow you communicate.
It can have a big impact onliving your authentic life.
Now, assertiveness, it is biggerthan a style of communication
because it's ultimately aboutvalue living our lives in

(11:12):
accordance with our values andno one else's.
It could take the formalcommunication, but it is more
about how we act more.
Generally, some people tend tobe passive communicators and
they hold back sharing opinions.
They tend to just go with theflow.
We have aggressive communicatorswho dominate conversations and

(11:32):
they fail to listen.
They tend to put people downbecause it makes them feel
powerful.
It's like a false confidencewith passive aggressive
communicators, sarcasm anddishonesty blocks their way to
an authentic exchange.
It's like a refusal of themtaking responsibility for
anything, practicing anassertive communication style.

(11:56):
It ensures open, honest dialoguewhile still considering the
needs of others.
This encourages balancedconversations in which both
people have a chance to speak.
Being more assertive is thewillingness to go after.
What's important to you, evenwhen it's hard, it means your
decisions.
Speech actions and goals are alldriven by your values rather

(12:20):
than the trends of culture orthe fear from that moment Last
but not leashed five practiceauthenticity daily.
You gotta keep in mind thatauthenticity is a practice,
which means that it takespatience time and dedication to
doing it authenticity.
It can feel like a big abstractconcept, but when you really

(12:42):
look at it, it comes down toyour day to day actions.
It's those small moments, thethings you say, your decisions,
your actions that add up to whoyou are taking.
Small actions that align withyour values can build your
muscle of authenticity.
And if you have not read a to ofhabits by James clue, I highly

(13:03):
suggest you purchase and readthat book, self star honoring
the authentic true you andsharing that openly with the
world.
Be honest with yourself.
Being authentic is scary.
And a quote from mother CSA saidhonesty and transparency makes
you vulnerable.
Be honest and transparent.
Anyway, vulnerability ain'teasy, but accept the challenge

(13:27):
anyway.
Why not?
Everything we've been throughhas been nothing but a
motivational story for othersanyway.
So why hide beneath fear?
Now walk in faith, knowing thatwhat you do is a direct
reflection of you.
I conclude this week, we arenaturally hard on ourselves, but

(13:49):
with this pursuit of becomingour most authentic sales, we
will get to the other side ofwhere we are right now.
When you start seeing yourselfas perfect, you start losing
progress.
We all have room to grow, andthis is forever.
And our ways becoming the truestversion of you is a daily

(14:09):
pursuit.
And it's one worth chasing.
If you ask me, I personallyencourage you to see yourself in
the eyes of God, rather than theeyes of comparison, self doubt,
and false exceptions that thisworld has placed on you.
Affirmation stating that you arechosen to do good and be good,
can go a long way in your weeklylife.

(14:31):
Speak the words over your life.
You hope to see, come to pass.
Do you want success?
Do you want to be your mostauthentic self manifested and
think of how you're going to getthere and what it looks like
when you are there speakpositive words to yourself and
to the others around you be alight bro.

(14:53):
Like the darkness hates delightand the good news is the light
will attract more light.
Good vibes will bring out moregood vibes.
