Speaker 1 (00:03):
New blessing, new lessons, new money, ladies and
gentlemen, welcome to anotherepisode of the raisin vibe at
the Treehouse podcast.
Now, today we are unpacking thebenefits of failure.
We're gonna learn why failure isreally just assessing disguise.
We will fall in love withfailure and view the ELs of life

(00:25):
as lessons and blessings goingforward.
Let's vibe.
Now, as I discussed in our lastepisode, the fear of failure
comes alongside the fear ofdeath and the fear of public
speaking.
Now you are not alone in thisfield failure, but with a few
mental tweaks, you can begin tosee failure as a blessing

(00:46):
analyst in which, in terms leads, failure to be success in
disguise.
In today's episode, we're gonnalearn how to embrace adversity.
We're going to analyze ourfailures and learn from we're
also going to condition ourminds to believe that it's not
over until you win.
Having a winning mindset is onethat brushes out failure and

(01:09):
keeps you striving forgreatness.
And I believe you listening canadapt this mindset through the
power of the words that's spokenon this show.
Now, with that being said, I'myour host led Weaver, and I
truly care about your mentalwellbeing.
We can be positive lights inthis world around us.
And my goal with this episode isto open new doors of thoughts

(01:30):
and truths that lead totransformation.
I thank you for joining mebefore we move forward.
I gotta ask you these importantquestions today.
Have you failed at something tothe point it made you give up?
Have you struggled to take achance because of the
consequences of failure?

(01:51):
Are you unsure of which pathwould lead to the most success?

Speaker 2 (01:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
Well you, me, us let's talk Michael Jordan.
One of the most successful menin basketball players of our
time has a quote that, uh,that'll give you goosebumps.
Now the greatest NBA player ofour time has said this I've

(02:20):
missed more than 9,000 shots inmy career.
I've lost almost 300 games, 26times.
I've been trusted to take thegame winning shot and missed
I've failed over and over andover again in my life.
And that's why I succeed.
Now.
The truth found in this quoteshould give everyone the

(02:43):
confidence that they need totake.
The shot.
Failure is none to feel.
It is the necessary occurrenceto get you to the greatest level
of success.
You learn more from failure thanyou learn from winning champions
around the world can testifythat winning feels better after
frequent failure.

(03:04):
The victory tastes sweeter whenyou've had your face down in the
mud on more than one occasion, there's always an opportunity to
take most shots in this life.
And I encourage everyonelistening to accept this as
truth and move in a way thataccepts failures as a necessary
occurrence to get to the otherside of success.

(03:26):
Now we're told from a young age,or at least I was told from a
young age, that failure is theopposite of success.
So we navigate through life, eliminating our possibilities of
failure and being fearful ofwhat might happen if we don't
achieve what we set out to do.
Like we don't ask people out ondates because we're afraid of

(03:47):
rejection.
Like we don't start thatbusiness that we've always
dreamed of because we're scared.
It might not be successful.
We don't go after the promotionthat we want because we don't
want the risk of being told no,our pride for sales, our pride
for sales ego.
It don't like to admit that wefail.

(04:08):
And understandably we don't likethe feeling that comes from not
reaching our goals.
The ones who are able to weatherthe storm, fight through the
failure and keep their goals inmotion are the ones that make
it.
They may have endured anemotional roller coaster, but
their story ends up being one ofgreat redemption because failure

(04:28):
is a necessary step to reachsuccess.
I think we can all agree that wewaste so much of our time, our
energy making decisions to tryand avoid failure.
But what if we flip the scriptand divert that energy into
going after what we want insteadwithout the fear hanging over

(04:50):
our heads.
That's a powerful question.
I ask you one thing that I, thatI always say to myself when the
fear failure pops in my head isYeah, but what's the worst that
can happen.
We often feel that fear is thishuge immense beast.

(05:13):
That's impossible to come backfrom.
But most of the time, it'sreally not.
Most of the time, all thathappens is that it affects our
ego.
It affects our confidence.
But if going after what you wantmeans you might achieve your
goals.
Then I think it's the risk worthtaking don't you failure.

(05:36):
It forces us to improve, adapt, find new solutions and think
outside the box.
It teaches us what works, whatdoesn't work, what we're good
at, what we're not good at.
It also teaches us perseveranceand patience.
And all of the most successfulpeople in the world have
experienced failure in someshape or form James Dyson.

(06:01):
Y'all heard of him.
Well, it took him over 5,000attempts to create a vacuum
cleaner bro, 5,000.
Now imagine if he giving upafter the first hundred, he
learned from every singlefailure, he applied his
learnings to his next model, persisted, and eventually ended

(06:21):
up with one of the biggesthousehold brands in the world.
The vacuum cleaner.
I don't know what I do withoutone.
Cause I refuse to be sweepingcarpet.
You got to be crazy, But thatdidn't happen by chance.
It happened because he failedquite literally thousands of
times.

(06:42):
And eventually things allclicked into place and his hard
work paid off success.
Isn't something that happensovernight.
It's something that requirestime

Speaker 2 (06:54):
Work

Speaker 1 (06:55):
And dedication.
Failure is just a necessary partof that.
Some of your biggest lessons inlife will come from your
mistakes.
And it's important to rememberthat.
Especially if things aren'tgoing your way, you need failure
in order to grow.

(07:16):
So rather than ignoring yourfailures embrace,'em open your
eyes and see what you can learnand apply in the future.
These failures, they often timeopen up new doors of
opportunity, too, lessons andblessings failure.
Isn't final.
It just forces you to divertdown a different path and you

(07:39):
never know.
The final destination may justbe significantly better than the
one you initially had in mindanalyzing why you failed can
lead to a real transformation ofyour approach to success.
It's been said, failure issimply the opportunity to begin
again.

(08:00):
This time more intelligentlydiscouragement and failure are
two of sure stepping stones tosuccess.
Let me repeat that.
Discouragement and failure aretwo of the most sures stepping
stones to success there.
Carnegie said that, and I liketo give you some practical tips

(08:21):
and guidance that you can applyto your own walk towards
success.
One embrace adversity.
This is your chance to setyourself apart from the masses
of people that don't want it asbad as you so many people fail
and give up.
But if you embrace thisadversity, you are already

(08:42):
further ahead than the averagebelt.
Use it to grow your mentalmuscles and become better in the
process.
Two, Analyze your failures, askyourself why you, you failed to
achieve your goal.
Was it a lack of effort or thewrong strategies?
How can you do better next time, reflect on your LS and figure

(09:04):
out a better way to get to theWs.
This process is required andit's practiced by all successful
people.
Three, it's not over until youwin.
Keep chasing your dreams nomatter how much failure and
adversity you might encounter.

(09:25):
Keep believing in your dream andadapt to feedback until you make
it be fluid and flexible withthe strategies you use, but not
with the goals you pursue, nevergive up on your dreams and you
will land closer to them thanyou think.
Fall shift your perspectiveinstead of telling yourself.

(09:48):
But what if I fail ask yourself, but what if I succeed and get
everything I want, visualizesuccess, speak positive words
over your life and be your mostauthentic self in this process.
This is going to attract theright people that will elevate
your chances of success andlimit your future failures.

(10:11):
I conclude this with we are allhuman and react with emotion.
We have the tendency to remainin our comfort zone and this
prevents us from striving forultimate greatness.
We fear failure and the judgmentof others.
We are hard on ourselves andlimit ourselves on what we can
do in this life.

(10:31):
But you are built different andwill have a micro joinin
mentality about life and let thechips fall where they may look.
I personally encourage you toapply the words that's been
spoken on this podcast and digdeep within yourself and decide
if you are willing to feel inorder to succeed, because this
is the only path to success.

(10:53):
It's a long bumpy road and therecomes a time in everyone's life
when they have to either stepout of their comfort zone and
take a chance or be complacentwith their lives.
Well on this show, my, I alwayspush you to be better, not only
better in your own life, but inthe lives of others, be a light

(11:14):

The darkness hates the light andthe good news is the light will
attract Mo light good vibes, bring out Mo good vibes.
