Gavin discusses the socioeconomic challenges facing the City of Benton, the need to support its struggling public school system, and what grassroots leaders like her have been doing to address the educational issues plaguing their city. She addresses the impending cuts from the U.S. Department of Education and what that would mean for public education and for the Benton Harbor School System as well.
