For those of us who haven’t seen Dans stage routine, his own personal hybrid of comedy and poetry, this book is the next best thing. It’s a mixture of the snippets of life and observations that inspire the poetry, woven around the poems themselves. Almost like reading the show I guess. Of course on the one hand that means you don’t get the performance aspect or the inflections in all the right places, on the other hand you can give it your own personal spin.
