Veanne Cox made her Broadway debut in the Marvin Hamlisch musical Smile. Her performance as “Amy” in the revival of Stephen Sondheim's Company garnered her a Tony Award nomination for Featured Actress in a Musical. Her other Broadway credits include; An American in Paris, Caroline or Change, A Free Man of Color, The Dinner Party and La Cage Aux Folles.
Her film work includes Erin Brockovich, Big Eden, Beethoven's 4th, You've Got Mail and Marci X. On TV she has appeared inThe Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, New Amsterdam, Bull, Bluff City Law, Cinderella, Blue Bloods, Odd Mom Out, Louie, Smash, Pan Am, Two Broke Girls, Seinfeld, Boston Legal, Royal Pains, Joan of Arcadia and all iterations of Law and Order.
Veanne was awarded a Special Drama Desk Award for "Excellence and Significant Contributions to the Theatre" and Obie Award for "Sustained Excellence."
