Ever find yourself standing in front of your closet each morning, wasting precious mental energy on what to wear? Or having that pointless back-and-forth conversation about dinner plans? These seemingly small decisions silently sabotage your productivity by depleting your decision-making reserves before you've tackled anything meaningful.

This episode unveils a powerfully simple Sunday planning system that can transform your entire week. The secret lies in four straightforward practices: comprehensive schedule blocking, intentional workout planning, weekly meal decisions, and advance outfit selection. Each component eliminates decision points that would otherwise drain your mental resources during critical work hours.

When you proactively manage your calendar—ensuring every professional obligation and personal commitment is properly time-blocked—you create a visual roadmap for success. By scheduling workouts as non-negotiable appointments with yourself, you guarantee the energy-boosting benefits of regular movement. Planning meals eliminates those draining daily food conversations, while selecting outfits in advance prevents morning closet paralysis.

The psychology behind this system is compelling: we each have finite decision-making capacity. Every choice, no matter how small, draws from the same mental reservoir you need for important business and life decisions. By establishing these Sunday planning habits, you preserve your cognitive resources for what truly matters—moving your life and business forward with intention and clarity. Try implementing these practices tonight, and experience the difference a little planning makes in your productivity and peace of mind. Your future self will thank you for the gift of mental energy when it counts most.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
three simple things that you can do tonight to make
your week more productive.
So if you haven't already donethis prep for the week, then
number one thing you want to dois you want to look at your
schedule.
You want to make sure that allthe things that you need to do
for the week are in there yourprospecting, your client

(00:24):
meetings, your things you'redoing with your family
everything is in the scheduleand time blocked in your
calendar.
That's number one, bothprofessionally and personally.
So make sure everything is inthere.
You set yourself up for successfrom the beginning.
Then you have a much betterchance of making everything

(00:45):
happen that you want toaccomplish this week.
And then, number two, make sureyour workouts are in your
schedule as well.
You're going to work out, you're going to take a walk,
whatever it is.
You're going to do some kind ofdaily exercise to get the blood
running and get you knowprepped for the day.

(01:08):
So that is the second thing.
Make sure that.
That's the number three youwant to do is make sure that
your food is all planned out forthe week, so what you're going
to have for a few breakfast, lunch, dinner.
What the worst thing is, I hearmy husband say what are we
having for dinner tonight?
And you go back and forth withthis stupid conversation about

(01:32):
what you're going to have fordinner.
So you don't want to do that.
And also, well, I'm going toput number four in, and number
four is your clothes.
So look at your schedule forthe week, Look at your closet,
see what you want to wear forthe week.
The worst thing is, I hate whenI'm up in the morning and I'm
staring at the closet what am Igoing to wear?

(01:53):
Oh my God, should I wear this,Should I wear that?
Should I wear this?
And you know what, when you dothat, you're taking your
decision-making skills andwasting it on stupid things like
what am I going to wear, whatam I going to eat and what does
my day look like.
It's a complete waste of time.
So if you want to be moreproductive, get these things in

(02:16):
check tonight.
You still have time to get thatdone.
And every Sunday, do this.
I've been doing this for quitesome time.
And every Sunday do this.
I've been doing this for quitesome time getting everything in
line for the week, so that theseare things that I do not have
to think about and I can spendmy energy on things that I want
to do to move my life and mybusiness forward.

(02:38):
So let's have a great weekeverybody.
I know it's going to be a greatone this week, so God bless.

Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today.
