Ever feel like you're doing everything right but the results just aren't coming? That's because we're often looking in the wrong place. The real secret to success isn't in chasing outcomes—it's in perfecting your process.

Through a revealing story about a $600,000 listing that faced multiple delays, I share why patient persistence matters more than quick wins. When my seller postponed our meeting until after the holidays, then began renovations only to get sick with the flu, I couldn't control any part of the outcome. What I could control was my follow-up process, my professional guidance, and my compassionate response to his timeline.

This illustrates a fundamental truth in business and life: circumstances beyond our control constantly affect our clients' decisions. Someone's parent might require hospitalization, emotional readiness might shift, or unexpected obstacles might arise. The professionals who thrive aren't those who force outcomes but those who perfect their processes—making the calls, providing value, and building relationships regardless of immediate results.

Your brand isn't built overnight. It develops through decades of consistent, authentic engagement with your community. By reaching more people through diverse channels—calls, texts, emails, videos, and community involvement—you create the foundation for lasting success. Each interaction contributes to your professional reputation, whether it results in immediate business or not.

What process are you committed to perfecting this year? Share this video if you found it valuable and drop a comment with your thoughts. Together, let's focus on what we can control and build something meaningful that stands the test of time.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
The solution is in the process.
Good morning everybody.
It's gonna be a great day, wednesday, beginning of the year
, lots to do, but yet one of thethings that I see happen is
that we focus on the outcome.
The solution is it's in theprocess, it's in what you do.

(00:23):
So we call 10 people, 20 people, 30 people.
It's in the process, it's inwhat you do.
So we call 10 people, 20 people, 30 people.
We can't control whetherthey're ready to sell or not.
Give you an example I met with aseller in December.
I actually met with him on thephone and I went to the house.
He wasn't able to meet me.
It was vacant.

(00:43):
I went myself.
I called him back, I did theconsult, I went over everything,
what needed to happen to getthe property sold.
He's like great.
I said I'm going to tell yousome other things about the
property and he already knewbasically what I was telling him
.
But he said it was good toreally hear that from me and

(01:05):
because I told him basicallythat the kitchen, half of it,
needs to be ripped out.
They built a house with twodifferent styles one style for,
like, the living room, theupstairs, and a completely
different style for the kitchen.
So it really nice house, but ifthey were two separate houses
it would be great.
So that's two different buyers.

(01:27):
So you've alienated both people.
Anyway, I scheduled a time tomeet with him the following day
and I get a message back thatmorning that says he can't deal
with this right now.
He doesn't want to deal with ittill after the holidays and he

(01:48):
was ready to list, but now he'snot because whatever's going on
with him not ready.
$600,000 property.
Okay.
So I said happy holidays.
Well, merry Christmas, I saidto him and I will contact you
right after the new year.

(02:09):
So yesterday I was back to work.
I called him and he said oh, Iripped out half the kitchen, I
ordered some new stuff.
He goes, but now I have the flu.
I was like I'm so glad youcalled, but I have the flu.
So now, hopefully I'm going tomeet him next Wednesday.
I can't control any part of theoutcome.

(02:30):
The only thing I can controlthe solution is in the process.
It's in doing the work, becausewe don't know when somebody is
going to be actually ready ornot.
We just don't.
There's things that come up inlife.
Somebody gets sick, somebodymentally can't deal with it.
Somebody's kid is sick, somebody's mother is sick, they

(02:52):
have to take them to thehospital.
Now, the mother's in thehospital for a month.
So, in order to impact morepeople, you have to be able to
reach more people, and you haveto be able to reach more people.
And you have to be able toreach more people.
You need to be able to do thatthrough one, your brand.
And two they're reaching morepeople by giving an impact to

(03:13):
more people calling, texting, emailing, videos, doing goodwill
for the community.
All of the above brand isn'tbuilt in a night.
It's built over decades anddecades of work, but it's doing
the same things every single day, with love, with compassion,

(03:36):
with empathy, with guidance, with patience and truly, truly
to excel in this business.
So the solution again is in theprocess and each of us has the
ability to be the solution.
So focus on the process, process, process, process.

(03:57):
Do the work, make the calls, talk to many people, as you need
to make sure that your messagemeets the market, and that's
another topic for another day.
My friends, if you like thevideo, share it, drop a comment.
I appreciate you.
Let's have a fantastic day.
