First, let me introduce myself.
I'm new to podcasting.
I started my professional lifeas a Marine Corps officer.
It was here that I learned todevelop a lifelong interest in
learning about and practicingleadership.
The Marine Corps as anorganization places a great
emphasis on leadership trainingand education, because it is
essential in the world to groundcombat, as it is so dangerous

and difficult and no amount ofanything but good leadership
will lead to mission success.
I was fortunate to have theopportunity to lead Marines
around the world, to include incombat, and I want to pass on
what I learned to my listeners.
But all good things must end,and after my time in the Marine
Corps, I joined the Corporate,quickly worked my way up the
ladder and established and led abusiness unit within a large

defense corporation as a vicepresident.
During this time I easilyreviewed a thousand resumes,
conducted hundreds of interviewsand hired many people.
I also established a strongmentorship program to help new
employees get a good start intheir careers and achieve their
professional goals.
I have a good sense of what ittakes to succeed in the
professional workforce and Iwant to use this podcast to pass

First, straightforward advicethat will help you succeed in
your career.
I'll tell you what you need tohear and maybe not what you want
to hear.
One way I do this has beendescribed as the ultimate dad,

career path.
What makes a good resume?
How should you prepare andparticipate in a job interview

How do you talk about salarystarting and later adjustments?
How to get organized, whatbeing a leader means leadership
traits and principles, how toplan, how to work with difficult
situations and how you can helpothers achieve their career

This is just a small sample ofthe topics I have in mind, and I
will always be open to yourideas for new topics as well.
I also intend to bring guestsin with a wide range of military
and corporate experiences tobroaden the perspective I offer.
