Calling all the folks in the room who don't know how they'd name their light or have been in a long period of discernment about it! Today's episode of Bear the Light with Leanne Shawler is especially for you.

Leanne is a member of the Light House community who struggled for a long time to know how she'd name her light in the world. In fact, the first time we talked about her coming on the show, she hadn't yet gotten to a point of naming it and was willing to come on the show anyway for a conversation about that difficulty of naming her light, specifically. (Kudos to her for having been willing to do that!)

But then, in January, she gained some unexpected clarity through several avenues: a virtual retreat day I hosted in the Light House, an in-person retreat stay she did at a monastery that same week, a meditation offered by the writer Anna Lovind, and a labyrinth walk she took while at the retreat house.

Leanne is now able to name that she is an artist who gifts her art.

This episode offers a great peek into the kinds of questions we might ask ourselves when we're on the search to name our light, the things we might instinctively know is or is not it, and what it's like to finally be able to name it.

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
