Join me as we interview Flossie Njama. She healed herself by juicing and eating nutrient dense whole foods and removing toxins from her diet.
About Flossie:
Flossie Njama was born and raised in Kenya, East AfricaI. She is very passionate about her nursing career which happened by default. A critical care RN for 26 yrs, she admits that this "2nd career" took over 10 years to finish the degree. She is the bestselling author of the book “Village Vibes”-Shockingly Simple Ways to Stop Autoimmune Disease. In this book, she shares her experience with American culture & food shock as well as growing up in the village without running water, paved roads, or electricity!. As a juicing enthusiast, her FB group “Simple Life Healthier U Family”, is where the family supports each other to stay healthy by incorporating simple juicing ways into their lifestyle cutting off the overwhelming stress of already busy lives.
Why?
With over 25,000 people diagnosed with sarcoidosis each year in the US, Flossie was devastated to be one of these cases. It felt like her world had just caved in from the dreadful news of the positive biopsy which confirmed skin sarcoidosis diagnosis. This debilitating autoimmune disease was not going to be her downfall. Deep down, she experienced the warm feeling that it was all going to work out. Embedded with the strength that her mother had instilled in her while growing up in that small Kenyan village, the feeling inside her was settling. This strength of never giving up was going to be her pillar. Flossie was raised to work hard and always remain the strongest she can be and never to give up. She was going to fight this monster of a disease that had crept into her body. Equipped with these morals, she decided to rise up and research the natural ways of fighting this crippling disease and opted out off western medicine and treatment suggested by her medical doctor.
Village Vibes will take you through Flossie's journey of how she was able to beat the nasty disease naturally. It discusses how she got off processed foods and found simple ways to eat natural and organic as well as how she incorporated simple lifestyle changes that resulted in the reversal of the skin sarcoidosis. Taking responsibility for your health is easier than it’s deemed to be. As a practicing healthcare provider, Flossie has learned through her own health journey that knowledge, research paired with consistency are powerful tools, and especially when we go back to the basics. Simple food and lifestyle choices play a huge role in our wellbeing.
