When it comes to most of the NOTLD comic books that yur Bede Jermyn has discussed on this podcast, most of them have been released by one company: Avatar Press. Since he covered their last NOTLD comic series that was released from them on episode 45 with Night Of The Living Dead: Aftermath, Bede is going back to beginning to one of the first ones that they produced. For this episode, Bede delves into the three issue 2006 prequel comic mini-series Night of The Living Dead: The Beginning, which was written by NOTLD co-creator John Russo and illustrated by Sebastian Fiumara.
Joining Bede to discuss this prequel comic series is returning guest Doug Tilley (Cinema Smorgasbord and No-Budget Nightmares). Highlights include how Night Of The Living Dead: The Beginning fills in some of the questions of the original film, the two original characters who appeared in other Avatar Press NOTLD comics Bede has covered previously, the massively hilarious continuity error, how some characters look way too similar and so much more.
