Welcome to the episode 5 of Bede & Sam Vs. The Video Nasties.
When you look over the first DPP list, you will see that the most common genre that appears on it is the horror genre. However, horror isn't the only type of films that appear on the list. Another sub-genre that makes quite a number of appearances on the list, is one that's considered on the most controverisal genres in all of exploitation cinema: Nazisploitation. For this episode of the show, your hosts Bede Jermyn & Sam Inglis take on their first Nazisploitation from the list with the 1977 Italian film The Beast In Heat from director Luigi Batzella.
Joining Bede & Sam to discuss this infamous film, is first-time special guest Trevor Snyder (Failure To Franchise). Highlights include Trevor explains now he became aware of the Video Nasty controversy, debate whether The Beast In Heat is a truly terrible film, the hilarious dubbing, praise Macha Magall's campy villianess performance, how this film is strangely linked to a film Bede covered on his show Bede Vs. The Living Dead, wonder whether "The Beast should be in a gurning contest and so much more.
WARNING: The following episode features discussions on confronting topics such as sexual violence and assault. Listener discretion is advised.
