It can be scary to walk into your doctor's office. We see them as an expert and the key to our health. They know more than us about our medical conditions and it can be intimidating.
Doctors are human too. Humans make mistakes. This is why it's so important to have open and honest conversations with your doctors. This is why I'm so excited to have Brooke Hoover on my show.
Through her own experience of misdiagnoses, Brooke believes that patients should take an active role in their healthcare by asking questions, taking notes, and advocating for themselves. She shares that effective communication in medical settings is crucial, with empathetic listening, open-ended questions, and body language being key components.
