She was five months pregnant. Her name was Carly Joann Scott—Charli, to everyone who loved her. And she never made it home.
What started as a missing persons case turned into something darker. Her SUV was found burned near the cliffs of Maui. Her dog was still inside. Alive, but shaking.
Then came the rest: her blood-stained skirt. A jawbone. A clump of hair. No body, no confession—just evidence scattered across the coastline. And a trail of phone pings that told their own story.

As of this recording, the Charli Alert is still pending in the Hawaii State Legislature.
House Bill 1192 would create a new alert system for missing adults—named in her memory.
