Rookie of the Year, everything when it comes to awards,
(00:22):
We're going to talk about the Super Bowl features. We're
going to talk about all kinds of fun things, our
favorite props, win totals, divisions, you name it. This is
the show for it. So make sure if you haven't
already subscribed to the Betting Pros YouTube channel, because we're
here for you to help win you some cash and
of course to help us along the journey. Terrell Ferman Junior,
The Undertaker, Andrew Erickson, we're here. We are ready. We
(00:42):
are locked and loaded, and let's start with the big game.
Let's just jump in here. And I have made no bones.
I've alluded to it many times over the preseason shows.
I think this is a simple one. I think this
is the year for John Harbaugh and Lamar Jackson and
Derrick Henry to hoist that trophy. That's right. I think
they are very close to being on that track last year.
Unfortunately it fell a little short in the snow in Buffalo.
(01:05):
I think this year a chip on their shoulder. Give
me the Baltimore Ravens at plus seven hundred. Now they're
not the only ones at plus seven hundred. The Buffalo
Bills are there as well as the rating defending champion Eagles,
the Chiefs at plus eight hundred, the Lines at plus
eleven hundred, and the San Francisco forty nine ers at
plus nineteen hundred. Those are the favorites, but maybe the
guys like a long shot as well. I want to
hear from you, Rope Ferman Junior. Let's talk about it.
(01:27):
I am locked and load in the Ravens. You can't
push me off of it. I think they're the most
complete team. I think Lamar is a little bit frustrated
that he wasn't MVP last year, considering the year that
he put up there, and I think this team is
going to have a little bit of a different attitude
this season. Where are you going? Is there a favorite,
a long shot or both that you are investing in.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
Yeah, no, I'm closer to the favorites. But I'm sorry,
I've yet to see anything that has told me any
different that the Chiefs dynasty is completely over. I just
really don't. I think that at the end of the day.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
Are still poster Would you like to see something?
Speaker 2 (02:01):
I would love I would love to see.
Speaker 1 (02:03):
Okay, you're eight. Since the year two thousand, no team
has won the Super has lost the Super Bowl and
the next year gotten back there except one, and it
was Tom Brady the Patriots and they won. So one
out of twenty five. Is that enough data to think
that maybe the Chiefs can't get back there after not
just a loss, but a crushing loss to the Eagles
(02:24):
last year? Nope?
Speaker 2 (02:24):
Not enough?
Speaker 1 (02:25):
Not an Okay, I tried, I tried.
Speaker 3 (02:27):
Well well during that span. Are the again going? The
Patriots are a team that had won Super Bowls already.
Of all those teams that lost, how many have already
had won Super Bowl?
Speaker 1 (02:35):
Are you trying to encourage Terrella? You feel that's what
you're trying to do here, Andrew. You're trying to encourage
him to bettle the Chiefs, and I'm trying to steer
him away from it.
Speaker 3 (02:41):
I think that I think that investing in the Chiefs
to in the Super Bowls never a bad bet.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
But what about you? Were the guys talking about last
year they can't keep this up? They keep winning these
bringing this one score games every single week.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
What are the eleven.
Speaker 1 (02:53):
Torell's total?
Speaker 3 (02:55):
Overrell, They're gonna be live for the superl.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
Hitting the hammock while Andrew and I may y'all get
to y'all have it my debate for me.
Speaker 2 (03:02):
I don't even have to talk here. I mean, come
on going, I.
Speaker 1 (03:05):
Don't know, but I want you to earn your salary today.
All right, come back, come back, I will shut up. Now,
go ahead, talk about why you think the Chiefs are
still a good bad I wanted to give you a
shot to get off of it and not burn your money.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
So I still believe in this Chiefs. D's fits and
Steve's bagnola. They continue to be very very good every
year and honestly carrying this team. And now you talk
about Isaiah Pacheco, who looks good. And if Isaiah Pachecko
revers back to a couple of years ago and not
when he was hurt and injured last year, that's a
big hole that was missing out of that Chiefs offense
(03:38):
last year. You add in a Racie Rice. However, many
games we get him. Maybe there's a suspension there that
comes in the middle, but we still got some Raschi Rice.
You're gonna get Hollywood Brown a little bit healthier. You're
gonna get exeber Worthy in another level. And then all
the reports that I've been hearing all training camp is
Travis Kelce looks like him again, and it looks like
this team is putting it together. They have revamped the
(04:01):
offensive line and they said, hey, we are going for
it again. And at the end of the day, when
we get into the playoffs, one side of the ball
has Patrick Mahomes and the other side doesn't. So I'm
gonna take shit my shot with the side that has
Patrick Mahomes. So I like them. I think that they're
going to get there. I think the Eagles did what
they need to do in the Super Bowl last year.
(04:21):
We'll see if the Eagles get back, but I think
the Chiefs are going to be angry, pissed off. It
was a horrible Super Bowl loss, and that's going to
propel them back to the Super Bowl again this year.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
All right, Andrew Erickson. The board is yours super Bowl.
Speaker 3 (04:34):
Where you're going, I'm going off the board here. You
did not list my team that I'm going with. I'm
all with the Bengals twenty two to one. I think
that's too long of odds for Cincinnati when you look
at this team versus the other teams the AFC. I
know the Cincinnati Bengals can beat the Chiefs had to head,
Ravens had ahead, Bills had to head, and they're a
team that nobody wants to play if they make the playoffs.
(04:55):
The AFC team's got lucky last year where the Chiefs
or the Bengals started off so terribly they were not
able to sneak in. But everybody knows that when you're
facing Joe Burrow like, you don't feel good about it,
regardless of how bad the Bengals defense is. If you
score thirty five on your team and your defense, you
might go home the loser that day, even if you
have the more complete team. So I think that the
way the Bengals have handled this offseason differently from last
(05:16):
year and years before where they rested their guys in
the preseason, not the case, like they're ready to come
out guns blazing here, start out hot. And I think
the fact that the Bills and the Ravens play each
other in week one, you're gonna see these odds dramatically shift,
like after week one, if they beat the Browns in
a good by a good amount, I think that these
are gonna shift way more than twenty two to one odds.
(05:38):
And I think this is the best time to get
on the Bengals. And you know how it is, Joe.
You play the futures like the stock market a little bit.
I think that investing in the Bengals right now is
the best time to do so.
Speaker 1 (05:48):
I get that. I think you will win money on
it because I think they will be a playoff team.
But I think you got to cash out at a
certain point if you get the option. I'll tell you why.
I just don't think the defense is good enough. That's
why I keep coming back to the Ravens.
Speaker 3 (06:00):
That's for a December show.
Speaker 1 (06:01):
Yeah, that's for a December show. But Andrew's not wrong
at plus twenty two. Do I think that number could
be five to one by the time we get to
December first or Christmas time?
Speaker 2 (06:08):
I do.
Speaker 1 (06:09):
I do think it could be that because Joe Burrow
could be playing out of his mind and I if
I'm picking Joe Burrow a spoiler for a certain award,
and then I can't pick him to win the super
Bowl because those things don't go together either in the
last twenty five years. Just putting that out there, all right,
Speaking of that teas of MVP, we're gonna get to
the MVP, but before I want to tell you about Novig,
because if you're looking for a smarter way to play,
there's a new sports trading platform that's changing the game,
(06:31):
and it's called Novig. It's legal in most states, including Georgia, California,
and Texas. It's peer to peer, which means you're competing
against other users, not the house, and you can often
get better lines than traditional books. You can set your
own lines, which gives you the control that most sports
books just don't offer you. So there's no commissions, no
hidden fees. Seriously, it's easy. He just used a coin
deposit system, but it's real money and you can use
(06:53):
the code daily Juice right now for fifty percent off
your first coin purchase up to twenty five dollars. Again,
you could check it out at betting pros Com slash Juice.
That's bettingpros dot Com slash Juice and use that promo
code daily Juice for fifty percent off your first coin
purchase up to twenty five dollars. Let's talk MVP. It's
awards season, baby, and if I want the Ravens to
(07:14):
win the Super Bowl, guess what. Lamar Jackson can't win
the MVP. We've seen it time and time again. These
two things just don't go hand in hand. So last
year was Josh Allen's turn to ride the bicycle. This
year it's Joe Burrow at plus six hundred. The board
is stacking up right now at Lamar Jackson plus four
thirty Allen plus six Burrow plus six Mahomes plus six
(07:34):
fifty Jaden Daniels at ten to one. Then he got
Herbert at twenty to one, same with Jalen Hurts, Jordan
Love and C. J. Stroud plus twenty five hundred. So look,
it's a quarterback award, Andrew Erickson. I believe you and
I are holding hands on this one, correct now?
Speaker 3 (07:51):
That is that is not?
Speaker 2 (07:52):
Go?
Speaker 3 (07:52):
Oh okay, well, I'm curious of your your breakdown of
Joe Burrow because he's gonna win MVP if they win
the division. Like the Ravens are gonna win the division,
Joe Burro is gonna win MVP. That doesn't racee n O.
Speaker 1 (08:04):
I think he throws for five thousand yards and becomes undeliable. No,
he didn't. He threw a forty nine hundred forty nine hundred,
five thousand yards forty something touchdowns. And because the defense
is so bad, he wills them to let's say a
situation where they just miss winning that division or it's
a tiebreaker situation. Again, it's like, you know, we go
(08:25):
through little things. It's the Lamar Jackson era. Then it's
gonna be the Josh Allen one. We had Patrick Mahomes with,
you know, Okay, we like to spread it around here.
And I just think the media again, all the defense
is so bad. Look at Joe Burrow, Look how special
he is to carry this team on his back. I
just think that's gonna be the narrative, just like it
was last year for Josh Allen.
Speaker 3 (08:44):
Yeah, but he won his division.
Speaker 1 (08:45):
He did, But I don't think you have to win
the division to win.
Speaker 3 (08:47):
Imagine that the Ravens. The Ravens have a better record
than the Bengals that they're gonna decide Will Burrow is
gonna win.
Speaker 1 (08:53):
I don't know, you throw for forty five touchdowns of
five thousand yards.
Speaker 2 (08:55):
I mean, well, they gave the First Team QB to
Lamar Jackson and gave the MVP award to Josh Allen
next year, so I mean there's no.
Speaker 3 (09:03):
Josh all Yeah, but he's still won his the vision.
Like I'm just saying, like you have to come.
Speaker 2 (09:08):
I would throw out I would throw out anything you
think you knew about the MVP award. It doesn't matter
anymore because they just broke up crazy precedent. There has
never been an MVP that was not First Team QB,
even the year that it was co MVPs. Still the
first Team QB made the MVP and was one of
the co MVPs. Like, there's there's nothing to talk about here.
(09:31):
It's clearly a participation trophy. Now it's going to Joe Burrow.
They wanted to give it to him last year and
they can give it to him. And so Josh Allen
now is sitting here like, oh, we finally got Josh
is now we're gonna get Joe theirs. This is clearly
Joe Burrow's award this year. They already teased it up
by giving it to the second team QB last year.
(09:51):
How do you give MVP to the second team QB.
How do you want your MVP on the second team QB.
If you're telling me Josh Allen was MVP, okay, I'll
believe it, But he should have been first team QB.
They made Lamar Jackson first Team QB because he was
supposed to win. MVP is now a glorified participation show.
And guess what, Joe, No matter what happens this year,
(10:12):
as long as y'all don't look terrible, you're gonna get
an MVP award. Congratulations me or Joe Burrow or both
or both.
Speaker 1 (10:19):
I don't know which Joe you were talking about the end,
Terrell Firman jun your unlikely voice of reason, ladies and gentlemen,
Thank you very much, Trell for backing me up. So
wait ericson and all that arguing. Did you make a
pick there for MVP? I don't feel like you did.
Speaker 3 (10:33):
No, I did not make my pick because I'm not
looking to the AFC to make my pick for LKP.
I'm going to the easy conference in the NFC with
Jordan Love, I think that at twenty five to one odds,
I think that he is the best bang for your
buck when it comes to MVP. Last year at this
time he was fourteen to one, and what happened he
got injured. Last year, they leaned a lot on the
(10:54):
run game. All his receivers let him down. And I
think that when you look at what Green Bay has
done heading into the season, and he's healthy now aside
from this non throwing thumb injury, which he should be fine.
They added another receiver to the full with Matthew Golden.
I think their offensive line is pretty good. It's better
than the Bengals offensive lines, better than some of these
other quarterbacks that are ranked up here in terms of
their offensive line. CJ.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
Strout.
Speaker 3 (11:14):
It's better than his offensive line. So and we talked
about it when we breaked we wrote down the NFC
North Division. I don't think this Stefens is that good.
Like I think Jordan Love is gonna have to throw
a lot. I think they're gonna have opportunities. So, yes,
the Bengals offense could have put up bonkers numbers. I
think the Packers are gonna put up some really strong
passing numbers, and I think they're also going to win
a decent chunk of games, especially in that NFC North.
(11:35):
If they win that division, they beat the Lines, they
beat the Vikings, they beat the Bears, they beat the
they win these key match against the Eagles and the Commanders.
Well that's gonna put Jordan Love in the limelight, as Hey,
this guy's bawling out like we want about him for MVP.
And you look at quarterbacks the last two years, only
one guy has a passing touchdown rate top six at
least five point five percent. Jordan Love is the only
(11:56):
quarterback that has that. So I think he's gonna throw
for over thirty five touchdowns for the ten hundred yards.
I think he's gonna be in the MVP conversation when
it's all said.
Speaker 2 (12:04):
Let's go ahead. Interesting take there, throw out there that
he did not count the Aaron Rodgers revenge game as
a key game for the Packers season.
Speaker 3 (12:13):
Oh and Rogers red game too.
Speaker 1 (12:14):
Okay, well, let's not forget that. That's very important. We
got to circle that all on our calendars, all right.
Next one, here is a ap NFL offensive rookie of
the year. And this is a little tricky, I gotta say.
Last year I was very very clear it was Jaden
Daniels at plus seven hundred, and if you listen and
you locked it in your bed hard the way we did,
then you want a lot of money. But this year
it's a little trickier. You have Ashton Genty at the
(12:35):
top plus two fifty, cam Ward who's the QB, and
that's typically tough to beat, although Ashton Genty certainly could
do it. At plus three hundred, not a ton of
value there, but still a good return on investment. Omari
and Hampton at plus nine hundred, Travis Hunter at the
same I'm not touching Hunter for this one, but I do.
I do find myself looking and I haven't bet it yet,
but I keep looking closer and closer at Trevon Henderson
(12:57):
at plus twelve and Tedrow McMillan at plus twelve as well,
and I see value there where I think, maybe, just
maybe you sprinkle a little bit there on McMillan and
Henderson early and then you wait this out and you
revisit it maybe around week eight. What do you think
about that approach here? Because right now I'm not really
locked into one person. I don't know where you are
(13:19):
with this one.
Speaker 2 (13:20):
Yeah, I'm not really locked into anybody either. I think
Teed McMillan is probably is the bet that I already have,
and it's probably the one that I'm just gonna go
ahead and say that I'm giving out here. Tat mc millan.
I am just a complete believer in the Carolina Panthers
this year. I think that this is gonna be a
great step above for Bryce Young. They got him that
number one bona fide receiver, and I think that he's
(13:42):
gonna look great over the course of the season. We've
seen him look good in the preseason and Andy Dalton
throw him alof so like I think that those moments
are gonna happen in the regular season. We're gonna see
a really really good side of Tet McMillan. So I
like him at twelve to one. But somebody else that
I think is very interesting that we didn't talk about
in the odds and he's potentially the starting running back
(14:02):
and it's not even closed and if they figure it out,
he could be really really good. And it's just are
the media members going to vote for him? And that's
Quinn Sewan Juckkins. Quinn Sewan Juckkins.
Speaker 1 (14:13):
Could Oh, I don't think they will.
Speaker 2 (14:15):
And that's but that's the question though, that's the that's
the question. Is the media gonna vote for him because
he has to make it undeniable? Can he make it undeniable?
Possibly there's a room. I think that the Cleveland Browns
actually are gonna be one of the teams that make
a very very big leap in terms of their win
total this season. So if quinch Sewn Juckkins is getting
a bunch of touchdowns and a bunch of yards and
(14:36):
he looks amazing over the course of the year, like
he could have a case. It's just the only reason
I'm not one hundred percent there yet is the media.
The media might not give it to me.
Speaker 3 (14:45):
What are what are his odds? Judgens? Are they even
posting a question theres rookie of the years like like
thirty five to one?
Speaker 1 (14:57):
See, I just don't think. I don't think he has
a chance, especially in the running back class that's got R. J.
Harvey in it, that's got Amari and Hampton, Traveon Henderson.
I mean, look, you can laugh, but like if kam
Scattabou catches fire in the last ten weeks of the
season or something like that. If he ends up taking
that roll over, he's gonna be a media darling. The
media is gonna fall in love with that kid because
he is just, you know, a little fire hydrant that
(15:18):
plays for Yeah, but of.
Speaker 2 (15:19):
All those players you listed, the only person that's getting
more work off the gate if he's there, is Ashton James.
Speaker 1 (15:26):
So we don't know that. I you know, between Ford
and Samson there and with Judkins, they're working behind everybody. Yeah,
Jendy's probably the one guy that is clear away you know,
the guy quote unquote in the backfield, which is why
again I struggle with this award because I mean, plus
two fifty, Okay, if you really just believe is GENTI
you can go all in on that. I just don't
(15:48):
know because it is such a quarterback driven award to
a lot of years, and I feel like cam Ward
isn't getting any respect, isn't getting any love, And maybe
it becomes the mia culpa of the media Erickson to
turn that around and say, oh, well, you know, look
at cam Ward leading this Titans team to let's say
a five hundred record. If they can get there were
above five hundred record, that would be something.
Speaker 3 (16:08):
I think so, But maybe it's just the fact that
the media is not as high on cam Ward as
NFL analysts are, and I don't know. I feel like
he's still facing an uphill battle to really put up
a great statistical season. That okay, he is the obvious
candidate to win Rookie of the Year offensively, So I
think that in generally speaking, in a weaker quarterback class,
I think that I feel safe for just fading the quarterbacks.
(16:30):
I mean, this class, what was its strength, It was
the running backs. So to your point about Ashton Genty,
he's favored for a reason, but if he misses a
couple of games, it gets banged up. Then it wheels
up for all these other running backs to jump up
and take on that opportunity. Again, trying to forecast what
these odds look like after week one? What if Orman
and Hampton balls out in Week one? Like he's not
gonna be plus nine hundred anymore, Like Trevon Henderson is
(16:52):
playing the Raiders, Like who rushes for more yards in
that game against Raiders and Patriots? Like, yeah, it could
be a wash like Henderson could play better in that
one week, and then the odds are going to dramatically,
So I think right now it's better to get the
long shots on some of the other running backs not
named Ash and Gent. And then for me, I grew
with Furman. Where tedor McMillan I've seen as long as
sixteen one, he was a top ten pick. Sixteen one
(17:13):
is the number one wide receiver That to me just
is like bonkers. Garrett Wilson won this award with eighty
three catches for eleven hundred yards and four touchdowns, Like
that's not that.
Speaker 1 (17:22):
Hard of a no. But he also wasn't in a
class that had eschen Gent in it either compete.
Speaker 2 (17:27):
That's fair.
Speaker 3 (17:28):
The only so many strong running backs.
Speaker 1 (17:30):
I'm with you.
Speaker 3 (17:31):
If there are so many strong running backs, it could
it could dilute the pool a little bit. Where if
tedrov Villin is head over heel better than every other
rookie wide receiver by a long shot, whereas the running
backs are all kind of like clustered together, like oh
like some good running backs like pretty solid years, I
think that they can lean towards team ac especially if
he's the reason why Bryce Young takes his head forward
like he's the reason why the Panthers are winning.
Speaker 2 (17:51):
And also think that we're looking at this of if
it's not Jinx, who is it. I think everybody should
have the mindset of is more more than likely gonna
be jen X. But if it's not, then the flight
gates a open and this is who is not? But like,
if you ask me, like for sure, who I think
is gonna win, I'm gonna say jen X. Who am
I betting on? Is different because I'm not gonna lay.
(18:13):
I'm not gonna take the two seventy five with jen Zy.
I'd rather take some of the other long shots. But
if you ask me who I think is gonna win, Yes,
jen Zy but ted.
Speaker 3 (18:24):
At plus two fifty.
Speaker 1 (18:25):
Yeah, I think we all agree. McMillan's the wager. But
Gent is the favorite for a reason. Let's talk about
the AP defensive rookie of the Year. Now, this one
I feel differently about. He got abdulkar At plus twenty
eighty five, Jalen Walker plus nine to fifty, Michael Williams,
Mike Green, Travis Hunter, John Campbell. I do think it's
Abdul Carter plus oney eighty five, I think this is
one that you bet hard because I think he is
going to be a sack machine. He is going to
(18:46):
wreak havoc in the New York media market. He's gonna
get a ton of buzz. You're mister Blue, here's mister
giant here. What do you think of my take on
Dual Carter here for defensive Rookie of the Year.
Speaker 2 (18:56):
I think that it is good. The only thing that
will happen. And as a Giants fan, I've seen it
before his injury, that's it. It turns out that somebody
along this Giants defensive line is gonna get injured. It
was Dexter Lawrence last year's Kevon Tibodaux before that. This
time it would be Abdull Carter. That would be the
only thing that would derail this. So if you want
to talk about, hey, if Abdil Carter gets hurt, who
(19:17):
is somebody else that she'll take a shot on. Give
me Shamar Stewart at twenty five to one. I think
that he stood. I think that there's respect that he
stood in his values and what he valued himself as
a player. And I think that if you talk about
this Bengals team and everything talking up this Bengals team.
The defense has to play better. They have to play
(19:37):
better for all of this, like we're talking about Joe
Burrow all this stuff. If they give the exact same
defense as they did last year, it's not gonna matter.
So that defense has to be better. Who's going to
make them better? Well, the first their first round draft
picks Shamar Stewart, who was absolute dull. So yeah, I
will buy into Shamar Stewart twenty five to one and
say that he's the reason that the Bengals look tremendously
(19:58):
different and they reward him for it.
Speaker 1 (20:01):
All right, let's get your take here. Andrew rickson ap
NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year. Do you have a
bet you want to make?
Speaker 3 (20:08):
Yeah? I like both the bets that you guys made
on the pass rushers, because that's usually who wins this
award and usually goes to the guy that was the
highest drafted. Five to the last six devensive rookie years
have been the highest drafted pass rusher. Are the ones
that have won of the pass rush last year the
exception was with Jared Verse. For me, though, I always
try to find some of these long shots because a
little bit more fun for me. I'm going to the
(20:30):
Arizona Cardinals with Will Johnson cornerback thirty one to one odds.
He should have been the first round pick, but it
was because he wasn't healthy. But he's healthy now and
he's in camp for the Arizona Cardinals. Arizona also was
twenty fifth in interceptions last year, so I think that
Arizona defense is underrated. I think Jonathan Gannon is underrated
as a head coach. And if this Cardinals defense, which
(20:50):
I think is vastly improved, it's healthier than it was
in past years, if it takes a step forward and
is the reason why the Cardinals are winning games, I think, Well,
Johnson's gonna be out there getting a lot of interceptions.
Who done that play Week one? Tyler Shuck and in
New Orleans Saints. So Will Johnson gets a pick six
week one, you look up. He's not gonna be thirty
one to one anymore to win this award. So if
I'm going with a defensive back, I like Will Johnson
at his odds.
Speaker 1 (21:10):
All right, Speaking of defense, ap NFL Defensive Player of
the Year Michael Parsons at plus six eighten Hundredson plus
seven then t J. Watt plus eight to fifty along
with Miles Garrett, Nick Bosa at plus eleven, Jared Verse
plus fifteen. Look, this is usually a sack award as well,
that's what it's become lately. Uh And for me, there
was a guy who had seven and a half sacks
in just four and change games last year. It was
(21:31):
Aiden Hutchinson. So as long as he's back and healthy,
one hundred percent of plus seven hundred. Again, it's a
good story, it's a good narrative. People love that. I'm
gonna go with Hutchinson for this award. Ericson how about you?
I was so high on Hutchinson both this award and
it was looking correct, it was looking he was gonna hit.
Speaker 3 (21:47):
I mean, before his injury, it was mine. It was
like minus four hundred for him to win this award
or something like that, and you know, we were ready
to bring the ticket to cash out with our money.
But of course he went down with the injury. But
the process was the same where you're trying to find
a pass rusher that is slated to see more sack
production than the year before, and how do you do that?
You just find the guy that had the most pressures
(22:08):
with low sack totals. Who was that last year? Just
talked about him when defensive Rooie of the year Jared Verse, Yes,
fourth most pressures last season, but just six sacks like
And to put it into again into the voters' mindsets here,
let's say Matthew Steffn misses a couple of games. Jared
Verse in those games is just a monster. He's a machine.
He's the reason why the Rams are winning games. That's
(22:30):
how defensive players win this award. So I feel so
weird having the most confidence and defensive player of the
Year coming from an offensive mindset with fantasy. But I
feel just as confident making this bet with Jared Verse
as it did last year with Aid Hudginson lock and
low Jared Verse def as a player of the year.
Speaker 1 (22:45):
All right, Andrew Erickson is in on Verse. I don't
mind that as a you know, in that fifteen hundred
rate and certainly not a bad wager. I'm stick with
Hudginson Torell. What do you like on this board? Uh,
it's a long sigh from a man looking for a
sack and he get through the offensive line and find
(23:05):
a pick that he likes for Defensive Player of the Year. Well,
you could pass throw. You don't have to give us
a pick. It's okay, No, So I.
Speaker 2 (23:13):
Think I think Parsons would be interesting if I knew
exactly where he was at, just the complete anger and
the voters getting to fade the Cowboys and voting him
Defensive Player of the Year. Like, I think that would
be a very very interesting move. I just need him
to already be in a spot, but man, I would
(23:35):
love to play that. I ended up just going with TJ.
Watt though. At the end of the day, when CJ.
Watt plays games for the Pittsburgh Steelers, they're a better
football And as long as he's healthy, for me, it's
always TJ. Watt until he's not healthy, Like, that's what
it is for me. That's how good he is and
how much of a difference maker he is for the
Pittsburgh Steelers because unlike some other defensive players, like when CJ.
(23:57):
Watt doesn't play, they legit do not win games, like
they actually do not win games. That's how pivotal he
is for the defense. So I'm gonna just roll back CJ.
Watt at plus nine to fifty. But I'm telling you
I really really wanted to get down on Michael Parsons.
I just need a trade to happen first.
Speaker 1 (24:13):
Fair enough, all right, those are some good picks there
for Defensive Player of the Year in a lot of
different takes too, So choose which one you like the best.
All right, let's get to ap NFL Offensive Player of
the Year Saquon plus five fifty, Oh, thank you, Jamar
Chase plus nine yes, please, that's where I'm looking in
right here. Big year for Burrow means big year for Chase.
Justin Jefferson plus eleven. You've got Jamier Gibbs plus thirteen hundred,
(24:36):
Derek Henry plus fourteen, Bijon and plus sixteen. I'm keeping
this simple. You know, you put a C note on
Chase and that's a nine hundred dollars return, almost one
thousand dollars on that one. So that's what I'm doing. Torell,
What are you doing with this one?
Speaker 2 (24:50):
Has MVP and Offensive Player of the Year. We need
to look into that and how many scenes the.
Speaker 3 (24:56):
Same person in the last thirty years changed the Player
of the Year to the fantasy.
Speaker 1 (25:01):
Has been the same team.
Speaker 2 (25:03):
Hmmm.
Speaker 1 (25:04):
That's when we'd have to let it back. I will
go ahead and look.
Speaker 3 (25:07):
MVP and OFFENSI Player of the Year. Yeah with Moss
and Brady.
Speaker 2 (25:11):
Okay, all the way, that's play three.
Speaker 1 (25:13):
And they didn't win the super Bowl. Let me reiterate
that they did not win the super Bowl.
Speaker 2 (25:18):
No, they did not win the super Bowl that year. Yeah,
they did not. I'm just making sure that everybody knows
the Patriots did not win the super Bowl that year.
Give me Jeon at fourteen to one. I just think
Bjon is that that's good. And I think Jon, you know,
we talk about him in Fantasy as Chase Jeon one two,
and I think it really is those guys at won two.
(25:39):
And if you're telling me that they could find any
way to not just sweep the Bengals of all these
awards after they go ahead and give Joe Burrow his
participation MVP award, then yeah, one hundred percent, I think
that is going to go down to Jeon of how
good he is. He could He's one of those guys
that's on a short list for a thousand rushing yards
and close to a thousand receiving yards in a season.
So yeah, I'll go with bijeon year. But I will
(26:01):
not lie. Part of me his number is just not
high enough for me. But part of me was very
interested in Christian McCaffrey.
Speaker 1 (26:09):
It wash, you know what, Wow, go ahead.
Speaker 2 (26:12):
Just if he if he's there, If this is the
off year we had, the off injury year, this could
be the one not injury year. It would be a
good bet, but I would need I wanted it to
be like closer to thirty to one. I'm not gonna lie.
Speaker 1 (26:27):
Eric. It was actually Tom Brady and Tom Brady who
won MVP and Offensive Player of the Year. Yeah, I'm
just looking at it, and that's happened quite a bit.
Where one guy's won both mahomes in twenty eighteen, Matt
Ryan twenty sixteen, Cam Newton twenty fifteen. Happens actually more
than you realize. Peyton Manning Adrian Peters had to.
Speaker 2 (26:44):
Be Burrows Offensive Player of the Year odds fifty to one.
Speaker 1 (26:48):
I don't know, but you know what, it's got me.
Speaker 2 (26:50):
Thinking, an offensive Player of the year. Go ahead and
put it in. I'm adding it to the catalog. Dog,
what can you do?
Speaker 1 (26:58):
Can you bet him both in the parlay? That's a lot.
Probably no can't.
Speaker 2 (27:04):
Right, but how are they?
Speaker 3 (27:05):
But but I think that you have to think about
are they really going to give it to Burrow and
not give it to Chase like.
Speaker 1 (27:10):
I nowadays they like to spread things around a little
bit post COVID, but pre COVID, like by the boys,
they didn't like this athlete so much.
Speaker 2 (27:19):
I mean, Joe Burrow. Fifty fifty to one, fifty to.
Speaker 1 (27:22):
One, it is. It is an interesting approach to it.
Andrew ericson what's yours?
Speaker 3 (27:29):
Uh So I like the Bjon call. I think that's
sixteen to one or or fourteen to one is really
kind of long for someone that we're basically looking as
the one oh one, and a lot of fantasy drafts
are one oh two, And that's kind of what this
ward is. It's the fantasy football the war like who
scores the most fantasy points non quarterback most of the time.
But for me, I'm going down the board a little
bit here with a player that I think could we
have a monster season And honestly, because of the odds,
(27:50):
fifty to one for Drake London, who was fourth in
the NFL and receiving yards last season, and he's going
to catch a ton of touchdowns this year from Michael
Pennix playing in the Dome. It's honestly, the odds I
just think are way too long for Drake London again
this award when he was to a receiver again. I
don't know how Jamar Chase didn't win the last year
because of take on Markley, That's why. But he won
the Triple Crown. We were on this last year and
(28:11):
that's why I can't back it again because he's not
going to win the Triple Crowd again.
Speaker 2 (28:15):
And that's why I'm like, I can't bet on.
Speaker 3 (28:16):
Jamar Chase again because I don't think he's gonna win it.
Speaker 1 (28:18):
Just because Antonio Brown do it more than one year.
I want to say he did.
Speaker 3 (28:22):
I have to go back and look what lead the
NFL receiving yards to win the Triple Crown, win the Triple.
Speaker 1 (28:26):
Crown two years in a row.
Speaker 2 (28:29):
Jamar cha is having a worst season in winning Offensive
Player of the Year will be.
Speaker 3 (28:34):
That's the thing I can't like as a voter. I'm like,
are they going to wait? He was worse than last year,
but now he's gonna win any war?
Speaker 1 (28:41):
I don't.
Speaker 3 (28:41):
I don't know if that's going to happen. So for me,
it's going down the last year with Drake London. I
think they just have a monster year at fifty to one. Again,
if it's not Jon that's scoring all the touchdowns for
the Falcons, it's Drake London.
Speaker 1 (28:50):
All right. Let's do coach of the Year here. Ben
Jonson plus six fifty, Verbel plus seven to fifty. Liam
Cohne is ten to one, that Aaron Glenn plus eleven hundred,
p Carol plus fourteen, Mike McDonald of the Seahawks plus fourteen.
I'm going Vrabel for this one plus seven fifty. I
think the narrative is already building for the rebirth of
New England Patriots, and if they win nine or ten games,
I think that would be good enough, even if they
(29:12):
just stiff the playoffs. But ericson, how do you see
this one?
Speaker 3 (29:17):
I don't like the odds of Rabel just because he's
the favorite, although I do agree with you that he
should be the favorite. I lean towards a head coach
that's more offensive minded because they get more credit for
when the quarterback actually plays well. And I'm afraid that
if Drake may plays really well, Josh McDaniels will be
getting more of the credit and not necessarily Mike Rabel.
So for me, I'm going back playing the hits bet
this last year obviously did not work out. Dave Canalis
(29:39):
going right back to the Panthers six, I think the one.
I think that he's going to get a ton of
credit if Bryce Sung takes this step in year three.
And yeah, so canals for me?
Speaker 1 (29:48):
All right, Terrell, how about you?
Speaker 2 (29:52):
I hate to hold hands, but it's canal is too.
Speaker 1 (29:55):
Oh yeah, look at that. I'm good with that.
Speaker 2 (29:57):
I was trying to so much. I was trying to
switch it up, like in moment, like I was like, oh,
I don't want both of us to have the Panthers
head coaches Coach of the year, Like, but gonna I'm
so boring into the defense too, man, Like I think
Derek Brown coming back into this lineup is gonna change
things so much, and it's gonna become a lot easier.
They're gonna be able to stop the run better, and
(30:18):
they've already started adding those courses. Jac Wren healthier, Like
this defense is a lot healthier. I think Bryce Shong
is taking yet another leap in year three and he's
got the number one receiver, and as long as Miller
states healthy throughout the year, like, I think he's gonna
have a really really good shot at this. So if
they win this division and sneak this division, yeah, it's
(30:38):
gonna be really hard not to give it to Canalis.
Speaker 1 (30:40):
Like I, like Cale said.
Speaker 3 (30:43):
Six, do you guys have any love for So the
other guy was looking at down the bar with stiking
twenty five to one because he checks out the boxes
of if he can get it done with Dana Jones
slash Richardson, like he can win this award. But it's
a matter of if you don't believe that's gonna happen,
then he's obviously cooked. Well yeah, I mean, come on,
so you guys don't believe at all, Like the Colts
(31:03):
are cooked.
Speaker 1 (31:04):
I don't know. I think that the restaurant's closing.
Speaker 2 (31:07):
Let's just go ahead and get to the fun futures
part and you'll see my thoughts on the Indianapolis.
Speaker 1 (31:12):
Okay, all right, all right, Well, one more award to
give out comeback Player of the Year. This is where
I think the McCaffrey plus three hundred is interesting. Dak
is at plus three hundred Hutchinson plus two seventy. But again,
if we give him Defensive Player of the Year, we
can go around. It's interesting. JJ McCarthy is coming back
from an injury but never played a game. He's plus
nine hundred, Max Crosby twenty two one, and Trevor Lawrence
(31:32):
plus five hundred. McCaffrey is the one that I would
circle here at three to one. Dak isn't a bad
wager either, Terrell, what are your thoughts on this one?
Speaker 2 (31:39):
JJ McCarthy ten to one, Okay, I'll take it. I
mean this the QB whisper of Kevin McConnell, and I mean,
did we see what he did to Sam Donald? And
right now everybody's telling me that JJ McCarthy is just
a way better quarterback than Sam Donald. So I mean,
if he takes Sam Donald, get rid of the interceptions,
the horrible interceptions last year, get some more consistent production
(32:02):
over the course of the year, and the rushing upside, Yeah,
I think that he's going to be a pretty good bet.
And I think the Vikings are going to be in
it for this division as well. So yeah, ten to one,
I'll take it.
Speaker 1 (32:11):
Ericson comeback player of the Year.
Speaker 3 (32:14):
We're hand holding again, Terrell Furman, like though Jim mccartlin.
For me, at ten to one, the Vikings win total
is higher than both the Cowboys and the Jaguars, and
yet both Trevor Lawrence and Dak Prescott have lower odds
or shorter odds to win this ward. That doesn't make
any sense to me. Again, how many games the Vikings
win this year is going to be put on JJ
McCarthy's shoulders and he's gonna get a ton of credit
(32:36):
for that to win Comeback Player of the Year. So
I think this one's easy. Give it to the quarterback,
young quarterback coming off the injury.
Speaker 1 (32:42):
All right? Coming up next our division winners and win
total favorite picks here Before we get there, just a

for some division winners and win totals, and then we'll
do the fun futures after this. I'm gonna take the
Vikings plus two ninety to win the NFC North. As
Ericson was alluding to, I guess I should reconsider maybe
(33:24):
a little sprinkle on JJ McCarthy as well on comeback
Player of the Year if I feel this, so, perhaps
I will revisit that after the show, and I'll take
the Patriots over nine and a half wins a plus
one ninety. Call me a homer. I don't care. I'm
usually not. Actually I bet the Patriots under last year,
and I did it very publicly on this program, and
I was right. And this year, I think it's gonna
(33:44):
be a different story. I think this team is gonna
be very different. It's kind of an edge to it.
It's got a good schedule. I don't think people are
gonna see them coming. I think if everything breaks right,
they're a ten win team and plus one ninety is
what you're getting. Treel Furman Junior. Let's talk about the
Texans here to kick things off.
Speaker 2 (33:58):
Yeah, horrible division. I mean I would love the faith Texans,
but at this point, nobody is even competent to come
sniffing clothes at this point. And even though I think
it'll be a rather underwhelming year for the Texans, just
the entire division, Like I'm banking on cam Ward having
an amazing rookie season and dethroning them because I don't
think the Jags are worth anything. Well, the Colts are
(34:20):
for sure not worth anything. And so yeah, give me
the Texans here plus one oh five. It feels like
very free money. And then from b wins Total, you
guys know that Sam Darnold is still a starting QB,
right and he no longer he no longer has Kevin
McConnell giving him the Michael's Secret stuff in the back
(34:40):
of the locker room. That's just giving him superpowers. And
not to be trash, this man is going to be horrible.
I'm down on the Seahawks overalls a year. There's questions
along the offensive line. I think that's going to be horrible.
They were the second worst offensive line last year. Yeah, yes,
they did get a rookie that is pretty good, but
I still think the offensive line is going to be
bad and that's not going to with things up for
Kenneth Walker in the run game. They're going to be
(35:02):
down in games and then Sam Darnold's have to throw
to keep up and then that's when the interceptions go
and it won't be long until we start calling for
Jaln Milroe. So give me the Seahawks under seven and
a half wins plus one forty.
Speaker 1 (35:15):
All right, ericson what are some of your favorite win
totals or division bets before we move to the fun
stuff here on the program.
Speaker 3 (35:23):
Well, I'm this is a fun bet for me. Panthers
plus four to twenty five to win the NFC South,
and they don't take the qualify for going from last
in the division to first. It's because of a fifth
rule tie breaker with the Saints last year, so spiritually
they're following the pattern going from last to first in
the division. So Panthers are going to win the NFC South.
And then my favorite win totals Cardinals over eight and
(35:44):
a half wins. They have a really easy schedule to
start off the year. I think the defense has vastly
improved compared to last season. Investing in the draft, I
think the offensive pieces you're gonna take a step forward
with Kyler Murray, Marvin Harrison Junior, and Trey McBride. I
think he's gonna find the en zone a couple more
times in last year. So maybe the over on car
most eight and a half wins.
Speaker 1 (36:01):
A couple more with double as output from last year.
That would be nice, just saying that would be nice.
All right, let's get to some of the fun futures
we're talking about, and I'm gonna start with most regular
season passing yards to lead the league in passing yards.
I'm gonna go with Joe Burrow. That's the theme of
the show today. Plus four eighty. That's a really good
return on investment. Then here's one that I think is sneaky.
(36:23):
I like to look for the low numbers. Last year,
I was looking at that Derek Henry nine to fifty
and a half of the rushing total. He got that
at Week nine last year. He was very weird. Dusted
that one. I got another one. I think we're gonna
dust this season, and it's a low number. Stefan Diggs
total receiving yards seven to fifty and a half. I
think he crushes this. I think he gets close to
a thousand. He looks sharp. Maybe not so sharp in
(36:43):
early September, but I think we can catch up and
make up some ground. Remember it's seventeen games, it's not
sixteen anymore. So I think this is very achievable here.
And then there's a FanDuel special I think is kind
of fun. Patriots and Jaguars to each win more than
seven and a half games, and the Panthers to win
more than six and a half. You can get all
those things right. It's five to one. That's a fun
(37:06):
little special for you. I like special bets. I don't
about you, guys. Andrew Ericson, walk me through some of
your specialist bets or your most special or you're a specialistist.
I don't know, super Cali Frederill x bilis specialist bets
for twenty twenty five.
Speaker 3 (37:21):
Not a specialist. But I'm also a fader of the
Seattle Seahawks along with Treel Furman. Okay, so I'm going
to bet then to finish last in the NFC West
plus one sixty five on DraftKings Sportsbook. I just think
all those other teams. Again, it would have to it
would take an injury for Matthew Stafford or Rock Party
to really put the Seahawks in a position where they're
going to finish higher than some of these other teams.
(37:41):
Really like all the other teams in the division. So
Sam Darnold's never really been a winning quarterback aside from
last season when he was in the perfect offensive ecosystem.
So taking the Seattle Seahawks underwin total and then to
finish the last at plus money and then my favorite
long shot fun bet Jordan Mason to lead the NFL
in rushing touchdowns at plus six five hundred. Again vikings Love.
(38:02):
We think they were gonna be above average offense this year.
That brought in Jordan Mason to be their red zone back.
He's going to score the touchdowns. And if it's not
jaj McCarthy dropping back to throw forty five plus times
per game, they're gonna be giving the ball to Jordan Mason,
and I think he's gonna score a boatload of touchdowns.
So it's sixty five to one odds. That's my super
fun bet for the twenty twenty five NFL season.
Speaker 1 (38:23):
All Right, Terrell Furman Junior. Nobody does fun quite like you,
So let's give it to the people. What do you have.
Speaker 2 (38:30):
Ericson yet again thinking small? I have two bets for
the worst record in the NFL, Sam Darnold and the
Seattle Seahawks at forty to one. I mean, first of all,
their wins total is just way too high, so the
fact that they could potentially be the worst record, absolutely yes,
(38:52):
forty to one. And then the Indianapolis Colts have ties
to the Manning family. Why do you think Daniel Jones
was named the starter? Why they don't want Anthony Richardson anymore?
Woody dropping the woody toy, Andy dropping the woody toy.
I'm done playing with you. I want buzzlight gear coming
(39:14):
over there from freaking Texas next year, and Daniel Jones,
you're gonna make sure we get them. We are not
giving up on you. Shane Stiken said it. He's the
starting quarterback, and I don't want anybody to think that
we're giving our starting quarterback up leash. They don't have
a Lee show on them because they want to lose games.
(39:34):
Seventeen to one for a team that is attempting to
lose every single game this year. And let's add on
to the fact that they're horrible in Week one and
they're going up against the Miami Dolphins. So let's just
chop that up as an l because it was gonna
be between the Colts and the Dolphins worst record, but
the Dolphins are gonna win Week one. So I mean,
it's comical that Daniel Jones, after what he did to
(39:56):
the New York Giants, is a starting quarterback the next season.
No way, no way. Seventeen to one for the worst
record in the league. They're one hundred percent tanking for
arch Manning one.
Speaker 1 (40:11):
I can't argue with the logic. It's very sound, Tourell,
it's very sound. Again, unlikely voice of reason, Torell Furman
Junior back to back here, all right, give me one
more here, Jayden Daniels, you've got a possible future bet
as well.
Speaker 2 (40:24):
Yes, Look, if Saquone is hurt, somebody else has to
lead the NFC East in rushing, and nobody else in
the division knows what they're doing at the running back position. Apparently,
literally everybody else in the division has no idea what
they're doing at the running back position. So guess what
(40:45):
Jane Daniels twenty to one to be the leading rusher
in the NFC East. All I need is.
Speaker 4 (40:51):
A Saquan injury and then the misfortunes of everybody else
at the running back spot is going to cancel each
other out, and Daniels is going to lead the NFC
East with like nine hundred rushing yards.
Speaker 3 (41:03):
I so wanted to bet into this market with Jakoy
krossky Merritt. When I looked at it last week, his
name wasn't up there, And now it's up there and
it's eleven to one. He has the second shortest odds
next to Saquon, which is ridiculous.
Speaker 1 (41:16):
Maybe it makes you like Daniels even more. I think
those are really good.
Speaker 3 (41:19):
Oh yeah, no, I think that the play on the
quarterback and just fading every backfield not same the Eagle.
Speaker 1 (41:25):
Taking the under fourteen hundred and yeah, fun.
Speaker 3 (41:28):
Sake, I think that's the way to play it, like,
instead of just taking the under on his rushing total,
cashing on Jayden Daniels and fading every terrible backfield for
the nfseas. This is a great call of Furman.
Speaker 1 (41:39):
Appreciate That's why you save fun Furman for last when
it comes to fun bets on the show. I've learned
this over the years working with Terrell. Great stuff boys.
