Speaker 1 (00:01):
Oh, Bry and welcome into the Betting Pros podcast. The
NBA Summer League tips off on Thursday, July tenth in
Las Vegas, Nevada.
Speaker 2 (00:10):
And on this episode of the program, we'll tell.
Speaker 3 (00:12):
You you need What was that episode?
Speaker 4 (00:15):
Sorry? I didn't mean to interrupt your your no, no,
I was trying really, really well, as Seth, I'm in
mid season form already interrupting you and we're two seconds
into this. But come on, did you guys not hear
how he said? Podcast? Podcast?
Speaker 1 (00:28):
Like?
Speaker 4 (00:29):
What was that? Was?
Speaker 2 (00:30):
The Northern?
Speaker 4 (00:31):
Uh? European? I don't know what just came out of
you just then, But Seth, I missed you, buddy.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
I missed you too.
Speaker 4 (00:38):
Man.
Speaker 2 (00:39):
Great to have you back on the program.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
I am Seth Wilcock and back in the saddle, as
he mentioned, just weeks removed from the NBA Finals. Is
the host of the Fast Break Bets podcast here on
Betting Pros. It's Treel Furman Junior, my southern friend Treell.
Great to feedback with you. How are you coming off
the holiday weekend? And maybe more importantly NBA free agency?
Speaker 4 (01:00):
The Knicks finally got a coach, so I'm happy about that.
I don't have any thoughts towards the hire. Actually I
really don't. I would love to think, because I mean,
I've been one and I've given Mike Brown as fair
criticism in years past. But at this point, Leon Rose
has yet to make a bad decision for the Knicks,
and so I'm just gonna trust him going forward. Because
(01:21):
everybody told me that the Jalen Brunson move was a
horrible move, and it turned out to be one of
the greatest moves for the franchise. And then they told
me the Cat move was a horrible move, and then
next thing you know, the Knicks are in the Eastern
Conference Finals for the first time in twenty five years.
Everybody said firing Tibbs was a horrible move, but I've
been anti TIBs for the law as long as I
can remember, and so, yeah, people are telling me that
(01:43):
this Mike Brown move is bad, But so far Leon
Rose has been really really good handling the New York Knicks,
especially when he told James Dolan and take a hike.
Speaker 1 (01:51):
Yeah, there's been a ton of moving and Shae King
we even got another Shaum's bomb this morning. As of Monday,
July seventh, happening with a three teen trade out there,
so definitely a lot happening. I know there's some a
lot of Lakers fans kind of disappointed with the lack
of free agency moves, but you know a lot of
Rocket fans happy with everything going on out there. Treyll real, quick,
(02:11):
give me your biggest winner from NBA free agency and
everything that's unfolded over the last week or two.
Speaker 4 (02:17):
Yes, I think that for me, it's pretty simple, even
though it's a very messy situation going on right now,
the Denver Nuggets are a clear cut winner for me
and for your free agency. Yeah, Like there's nobody even
close to what Denver has been able to do for
Nicola jokicch here in this free agency. They one upgrade
Michael Porter Junior with Cam Johnson, and I may get
(02:38):
crucified for this. In the comments, there have been people
that was like, Cam Johnson a clear cut upgrade over
Michael Porter journe. Yes, I think he's a clear cut
upgrade on both sides of the ball. I think that
Cam Johnson is a much better player than Michael Porter
Junior and he's cheaper, so absolutely, I think they they
completely upgraded that position there and just bringing in a
role player guy that's going to do his part and
(02:59):
really really add impact to this team. They bring Bruce
Brown back, that's gonna help them with deaf as well.
It seems like they're buying into the youth movement with
straw Her and playing the young guys. And so you
also add that they get their backup center in Jonas Valentiunas.
Now very messy situation because apparently Leonis Valentunas doesn't want
(03:19):
to go have a chance to go compete for a title.
He wants to go play Overseas. Denver says they're gonna
make him honor that contract. I don't know what's gonna
unfold with all of that, but if Jonas Valentiunas is
their backup center, that's a huge upgrade over DeAndre Jordan.
And you got serious minutes where Jonas can give Jokic
an actual legit break. So I think that Denver has
(03:43):
given Jokic every opportunity to succeed. Okay, And they might
have been the second best team in the West last
year because they lost a seven game marathon to the
Oklahoma City Thunder, and they might have been the only
team that was really as competitive against OKAC and so
they got to the finals. So yeah, I think that
Denver is really really interesting. I wouldn't be surprised if
(04:06):
they were a number one seed at the end of
the regular season.
Speaker 1 (04:09):
Okay, maybe a little action going down there on the
Denver Nuggets. In the futures betting market, we will not
be talking overall NBA twenty twenty five futures though this
episode of the podcast. Asterrell likes to say it looks
like this will take you inside the mindset of successful
Summer League handicappers and what to look for.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
We'll give you Terrell's top.
Speaker 1 (04:28):
Betting angles for this tournament, plus the top values and
fades in the futures markets, including the championship and MVP markets,
and as always, shout to everyone who's joining us either
on the Betting Pros YouTube channel or the audio feed.
The easiest way to support us is to give this
video a thumbs up if you and enjoy this type
of content, and make sure you're subscribing if you're new.
We've got a busy summer of content on deck which
(04:51):
will lead right into an absolutely slamfall with everything from NBA, NHL, NFL,
and college football content coming to you almost daily. Let's
go ahead, let's jump in and break down the Summer
league format and the betting mindset to have as we
approach it. Keep in mind we are breaking down the
NBA two K twenty sixth Summer League and not the
(05:12):
Salt Lake City in California Classic Summer Leagues that will
be wrapping up on Tuesday, July eighth. The action gets
underway in Sin City on July tenth. Seventy six total
games will be played this year, with each team playing
at least five games. Each team will play four games
between the tenth and the eighteenth. The top four teams
will be based on winning percentages and tie breakers, they're
(05:34):
going to advance to a four team playoff. The semi
finals will take place on July nineteenth, and the final
the following day.
Speaker 2 (05:41):
The twenty six remaining teams.
Speaker 1 (05:42):
That did not advance that playoff will play a fifth
Constellation game on either July nineteenth or twentieth twelve. In
sports betting in general, especially in football in motorsports, where
I typically have most my unit allocation tied up in
I've always felt like these preseason special events they are
they're kind of gimmicky, right, Like, there's definitely some aspects
(06:04):
as a fan we could prefer to be changed, But
at the same time, this is a very very profitable
market potentially where the books could.
Speaker 2 (06:11):
Be feeling a bit vulnerable.
Speaker 1 (06:13):
Do you feel similar when it comes to NBA Summer
League that maybe the books are on their heels a
little bit.
Speaker 4 (06:19):
I don't think they're on their heels, just because I
don't think the volume is there for them, and so
I don't think they're concerned. I think it's just, you know,
some nice to have if you win or lose here
or there. We're not really concerned just because we're not
getting those large volume of bits. Now, if somebody had
their megawheel Shark ten team parlay and they end up
hitting it in a whole bunch of people tail and
(06:41):
certain companies are like, oh, yeah, we're not doing that again,
then yeah, maybe they'll they'll be looking some type of way.
But other than that, I don't think they're really too serious.
I don't think that they made the lines super sharp
one way or another. I think you just got to
know how to attack them.
Speaker 2 (06:55):
Yeah, they are working with limited data.
Speaker 1 (06:58):
We know that the rotations will be volatile as well,
so I feel like there might be some ways to
get after them, especially if you are high on a
couple of these squads coming in.
Speaker 2 (07:08):
We do have the full rosters that are out there
on the internet.
Speaker 1 (07:11):
You can take a look at what research do you
typically suggest betters do to gain an edge in Summer League?
Speaker 2 (07:18):
What are you looking at?
Speaker 1 (07:18):
Are you looking at solely rosters? Are you looking at
what the coach typically does with his history in the
Summer League?
Speaker 2 (07:25):
How do you kind of put this all together?
Speaker 4 (07:26):
Trel I mean you got to be in the leeds.
You've got to be looking at your beat writers, And
I mean you should already be following beat writers in
whatever sport you're betting. If you're an NBA better, if
you're an NFL better, if you're whoever, whatever it is,
you should always be following beat writers. Those are the
guys that are getting the information nine times out of ten,
(07:46):
really really quickly before the major news out lists and
the major news out lists are pulling that information from
them and crediting them and their sources and all of that.
So I tap in a lot for the WNBA, just
because WNBA is really hard to get that information out
if you're not filing the beat writers. I think it's
the same for Summer League as well. There's a whole
bunch of media talent that is flocked into Vegas for
(08:08):
Summer League, and there are boots on the ground getting
that information from the players, from the coaches, from family,
from agents, from all of that real time. So if
you lock in with those people and just search around,
shift around, look for like social media guys that run
social media handles all of that stuff, like, they have
a lot of information that people don't know to tap into.
So that's the number one thing is just try to
(08:30):
stay in the know the best you can and just
get that information as real time as possible. Because if
you can beat books or anybody else to some of
this information, you can get a pretty good line move,
especially if it's like say Cooper Flag decides all I'm
only playing one game and you don't know that until
ten minutes before the next game starts, All right, well
(08:51):
go ahead and get a beat that the Dallas team
may not be as good with Flag not playing or
anything like that. So I think it really really depends,
and you really just need to be able to go
out there shift through information and just try to real
time understand who's playing for what team and how best
can this suit me?
Speaker 1 (09:09):
And I think the one thing kind of to build
on that note a little bit is the NBA has
always been a very, at least in the twenty twenties
the late twenty teams, a very social media dominated league. Right.
I don't know how many people are out there watching
game in and game out, but I know a lot
of people are sharing highlights on Twitter and Instagram, TikTok,
that type of thing. And I think avoiding some of
that hype, avoiding some of those highlights. We'll kind of
(09:32):
talk later about what the number one overall pick has
done it in the MVP markets in the past as well.
I think that's important to note. As far as like
looking for overreactions, do you notice anything that maybe the
books after one or two games they go all in
on a couple teams and make them very heavy favorites
when maybe they shouldn't, And do you usually follow their
(09:53):
lead and believing that these teams really should be heavily favored,
or do you think maybe there's a little bit of
course correction overreaction after one or two games.
Speaker 4 (10:03):
I think that I'm not necessarily quick to jump on
teams that are heavily favored, especially the big name teams
like the Lakers are the number one team that you know,
it's like, yeah, there's always a lot of expectation for
the Lakers and they really don't follow suit. And you
(10:23):
could talk about it. I'm pretty sure the Lakers were. Yeah,
the Lakers are four and a half favorites in the
California Classic against the Warriors, and they lost. They lost
by five, and it's because the Lakers. They have Bronni James,
and everybody thinks, you know, Bronni's gonna be really good.
I don't even think he played in that game, honestly,
don't connect. Like it's just the name Lakers and what
(10:45):
everything that comes with you. They're like, oh, the Lakers
are just gonna be this really really good team, and
they're they're not, Like they're just not. And so yeah,
I think that's gonna be one of the big things.
Bronni missed that first game against them. They went and
got the win against the Lakers, I mean against the
Heat when he played. So now it's like, oh, Bronni played,
they got the win. He didn't play. They lost. So
now it's like, oh, if Bronni plays, this Lakers team
(11:07):
is gonna be really good. But like, I don't think
I don't think so. I really don't think so. So.
I think that you got to just sit there, take
a second and not buy into the hype of players.
I think that's where the books are kind of getting.
They do the same thing with wnba and Caitlan Clark,
and they make Indiana a really really large favorite when
they're maybe not as good as some of the other teams.
They're playing the same thing with Bronni. Bronnie is so polarizing.
(11:29):
People running the bet Bronnie, they move the line, they
give the Lakers this inflated line, and it's like, oh,
I don't think so, so just stuff like that. I
think that it's more players. So I think that maybe
you'll see like the Jazz are heavily favored to win,
and it's because they have Ace Bailey, they have all
these young talent, was it Clayton Junior as well? Like
(11:53):
they have all of this and like, oh, oh, instant favorite.
They're gonna be favorite heavy in a lot of games.
And it's like they still got to play it together,
like I'm not quick to buy into the heavy favorites, honestly.
Speaker 1 (12:04):
Yeah, I absolutely agree, and I think a lot of
that comes from if you remember back, I think it
was like sixteen and seventeen when Summer League was really
we've had a championship game since twenty thirteen, so about
twelve or thirteen years worth of data that we're going off.
And early in those years, we had that one season
where Kyle Kuzma kind of came out of nowhere for
the Lakers. Lonzo Ball was everything he promised to be
(12:25):
early in Summer League as well. Josh Hart kind of
a part of that gang as well, and I felt
like they kind of lived up to the prophecy right
like what people thought they would be in Summer League,
and I think since then there's been a little bit
of chasing.
Speaker 2 (12:37):
So I love that.
Speaker 1 (12:38):
I love that analysis from Terrell, just you know, kind
of stay even keel state Water, stay in between, as
we like to say here, and make sure you're not
kind of giving into that hype, especially that we're seeing
out there on social media. If you do like betting
on basketball, we make sure you're joining host rel FIRMA
junior on the fast break Bets podcast, your daily dose
of all things basketball betting. Tune in every weekday for
(13:01):
your rapid fire fix of all things v ball. Check
out the Fast Breaks Betting podcast on the Bank Pros
YouTube channel or wherever you listen to your podcast for
picks on the w the Association, of course some college
basketball bets as well. Let's go ahead, let's move into
summer league betting strategy. Terrell, being the founder of the
Close Your Eye Special, I know you're all about finding
(13:22):
betting angles. Before we talk individual strategies, what's your unit
allocation like for summer league? Are you betting as heavily
as you would for WNBA game or an NBA playoff
or an NBA regular season game, or do you scale
back the unit size a little bit for this, you know,
once a year type of event.
Speaker 4 (13:41):
Oh yeah, it's definitely not big at all. Communit size here.
I mean at times it might not even be half
a unit. This is literally just something where I have
nothing else better to do. I've kind of locked in
on the WNBA. I've got some extra spending money, and
I'm like, hey, let's just go over there, play around
with some summer league dog and try to hit something nice,
(14:01):
or I'm locked into a team early and I'm like, okay,
I can wait on the two week future and hopefully
this pays out and I get a little nice, little
chunk and then I can go blow that on a
parlay or something like that.
Speaker 1 (14:14):
So more like a bank roll builder and adder rather
than something that you're gonna.
Speaker 4 (14:19):
Yeah nothing, I'm serious. I'm not throwing a full unit.
Definitely not a full NFL sized unit. I think a
basketball unit and a football unit or two different units.
For me, I'm definitely nowhere near what I would bet
in the NBA, nowhere near where I would bet in
the WNBA. Like, this is just literally for fun, and
that's something that I think a lot of people kind
of forget about betting, Like it's just supposed to be
(14:40):
for fun, Like win or lose, it's supposed to be
for fun, and so everything doesn't have to be like
some well mega hit here. This is not what I'm promoting.
I'm just having fun betting Summer League and watching them all.
Speaker 1 (14:53):
Well, talking about betting on the Summer League, are there
any strategies like the close your eyes special that you
have found over the years that you can kind of
give listeners to, you know, just something to keep in
mind as we move throughout the process here in this
you know about two week stint will have out there
in Vegas.
Speaker 4 (15:11):
I wish, I wish I did, I wish I had
something that'd be great. I think the thing that I
more so look for are those second year players or
those like those second year players that have gotten burn
or gotten a lot of play in the regular season
that first year, and they whether it's for injury, whether
it's from just lack of talent, but they've gotten a
lot of burning opportunity in actual NBA games, and then
(15:34):
now they're coming here and this is really they know,
this is my main this is my main choice, like
not choice, this is my main opportunity to play basketball
this year. I know when the regular season comes around,
I may not have a role, or maybe this is
my opportunity to build myself a role. And I think
one of the teams that I'm gonna talk about a
little bit later have a couple of players that fit
(15:55):
that mold of these second year, third year players that
are like, yeah, when the regular season comes around, I'm
probably not gonna be playing a lot, So I'm about
to just go out and kill in summer league real
quick and have a good summer league and maybe that
increases my stock for giving me a bigger role in
the regular season.
Speaker 1 (16:10):
Do you have any success We already kind of touched
on fading some of these overhyped big name rookies. Do
you have any success fading guys that might be on
a minute restriction that if you're in the trenches, you're
following some of these beat reporters, like, you know, whether
that's taken player props. I've seen a lot of player
futures out there on guys like Brownie James and of
(16:32):
course the number one pick Cooper Flag as well. So
do you have any success with that kind of you know,
fading the public in a way, fading the narratives and
minute restrictions coming into play at all.
Speaker 4 (16:43):
Yeah. I think the last time that I was in
a heavy, heavy fade was a little bit a while ago,
and it had to be when Zion. I think when
Zion started. I think that's when I had because they
went out there and they put Zion at a crazy,
crazy points thing his first game, and it was like
(17:03):
he was just remember he was just coming off with
the knee injury yep, and they they weren't. They weren't
giving him minutes for I think he played less than
ten minutes that game or something like that. So Zion
comes through. I remember hitting a Zion bet that was
under and his line was just way too high. And
then it was just a bunch of Bronnie fades. Honestly,
(17:24):
I hate to say it, but it was a bunch
of Bronnie fades. They just they gave him too much credit.
And it's not no faults of him, but it was
the books that just for some reason thought Bronni was
going to be this all world player, and I mean
I knew he wasn't and it worked out well.
Speaker 1 (17:40):
Yeah, And I think that's the great thing about kind
of these I don't I don't want to call him
a celebrity, but someone who has a big name.
Speaker 2 (17:47):
I mean, obviously I.
Speaker 4 (17:48):
Think, yeah, I'm about to say I think he's a celebrity.
Speaker 1 (17:51):
But someone who's you know, brand might be bigger than
their actual game is at this point in his career, right,
you know, the name value of it all. And so
I think that's a really great way to go about it.
What about G League players do you like these G
League players, any of these international players you come to
mix it up, do you think there's maybe an edge.
Speaker 2 (18:08):
To have there?
Speaker 4 (18:09):
Yeah, And I think the good part about of Summer
League is that it gives everybody this opportunity, Like, everybody
has an opportunity to show what they can. I think
everybody is willing to try to go out there and
prove that opportunity. And it just depends on just who
has the better high end talent for me, who's well coached, like,
who has a good coach behind their corner that has
(18:29):
been here, done that knows. Hey, when we get to
the close parts of this game, all right, we're gonna
finish this game out instead of just instead of just
letting the team just kind of run around and do
whatever for then hey, let's take this seriously. Let's go
ahead and finish out, get a win, and hey might
be in the championship game. So I am. I have
an interest in the G League players, in the international players.
(18:50):
I think everybody's interesting. You just got to kind of
got to shift through and make sure that you point
out some of these names, because if you're not deep
into the college basketball, if you're not deep into basketball
in general, Like a lot of these names look like foreign,
completely foreign, and who's winning some of these awards or
who's or who's taking the accolades? Like some of these
players are not players that you know just go on
(19:12):
to the NBA and they become household names. Some of
these guys are sitting Cam Whitmore two years ago, Summer
League MVP Cam Whitmore just got traded in Brooklyn or
not Brooklyn, So the Wizards for scraps, Like, we're not
talking about Cam Whitmore. Kyle Anderson is a former Summer
League MVP, Like wow, yeah, Josh.
Speaker 2 (19:32):
Selkey, yep yeah.
Speaker 1 (19:35):
It kind of reminds me of like when it comes
to early in the college football betting season when we're
looking at like the bottom G five rosters. You know
you're starting through the Mac the Sunbell and you're like,
who he could because most of those players get poached
every year, right they go to the Power for So
it's very similar in that sense that you really do
have to be in the thick of it. But luckily
Therell's here each and every single day on the Fast
(19:57):

(20:40):
so make sure you're falling along with him as well,
right here on Bencro's YouTube channel.
Speaker 2 (20:44):
Now what everyone's been waiting for.
Speaker 1 (20:46):
Let's get into the place Trell's favorite futures, values and
fade candidates for the MVP and Championship market. Last year's
winner was the Miami Heat beating the Memphis Grizzlies one
twenty to one eighteen, and over time they became just
the nineteenth to win the Summer League since the Championship
Games inception in twenty thirteen, joining the Calves, the Trailblazers
(21:09):
who have two dubs, the Kings, who also have two,
the Grizzlies, the Lakers. We mentioned that team back in
twenty sixteen, Lonzo Ball, Josh Harten, the Gang, the Lakers,
the Bulls, the Spurs, the Warriors. So coming into this year,
the favorites are courtesy of DraftKings. The Utah Jazz at
seven to one. Make sure you're shopping these lines wherever
(21:29):
you guys can get them because they are kind of
changing depending on books and what's still available. The Sixers
nine to one, the Minnesota Timberwolves at ten to one,
the Toronto Raptors fourteen to one. Okse Thunder coming off
that championship victory fourteen to one, the Miami Heat fourteen
to one, the Lakers fourteen to one, and then the
Memphis Grizzlies trying to continue to rebuild around John mmarant
(21:51):
They are at sixteen to one. Trel what is your
favorite futures value currently in these odds?
Speaker 4 (21:58):
Yeah, for me, it's down to one. The Memphis Grizzlies
and just getting revenge from last year. The Memphis Grizzlies
have been a relatively good staple piece in Summer League
for a while. They were rolling around with Kenning Loughton junior.
He was playing good for them for a little bit.
Like they constantly just have a good team and it's
(22:18):
because they draft well. They draft well, and they draft
young talent very very well. GG Jackson is somehow still
playing in Summer League here, and I understand he's a
really really young guy. But like G Jackson, I think
of GG Jackson is a guy that has a legit
role on their actual roster.
Speaker 2 (22:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (22:35):
Yeah, Jalen Wells, he has a legit role on their
actual roster. Like before he got hurt last year, Jalen
Wells was guarding arguably the best defender on opposing teams
for them. He was starting. So like you have him
on here as well, you have Zion pulland a great guard.
You got Cam Spencer on the roster as well, Like
(22:58):
they just draft well. Armando Baika is playing for them
as well, So they got the size and I think
that he's gonna go out there and try to have
some impact and be able to give them some rebounding
Like this Memphis Grizzlies team has been here, done that
before in Summer League, and with Gigi Jackson leading away,
that's my only concern. Is Gig gonna play the entire
Summer League or is this just a Hey, I'm gonna
(23:19):
play a couple of games and I'm getting up out
of here. Same thing for Wells. If those guys are
playing the full Summer League and they're just hey, we
want to keep getting these guys extra minutes, then yeah,
I'm sold on the Memphis Grizzlies being able to make
a run, especially in a championship game. Know when I
have somebody like Gigi that I could go with to
the ball, or Wells or even Cam Spencer, like three
guys that I feel comfortable going to with the ball
(23:41):
in the late game situations that are just gonna get
us over the home.
Speaker 1 (23:44):
And not only have the Grizzlies won a Summer League championship,
They've been in this game multiple times as well. They
always seem to have good young guys on this Summer
League roster, So Terrell's interested in them? Who else are
you interested in? Who else is the one that you
think could go toe to toe with Memphis Grizzlies.
Speaker 4 (24:01):
I really do like that Minnesota Timberwolves roster. I will
admit I do like the Minnesota timber Wolves roster. It's
another thing. And I talked about those second year players
that had a role on their team, whatever it may be,
had some type of role, and now they're back in
this Summer League, either trying to expand that role or
(24:21):
just trying to take advantage of a chance to actually
play meaningful basketball. But you got Terrence Shannon Junior who
we saw had a role and even in the playoffs,
like when it came alive in the playoffs, he's playing
for them in Summer League. You got Rob Dylanham shot
to North Carolina. He's playing for them in Summer League.
He had a role on that Timberwolves team throughout the
portion of the portion of the regular season. You had
(24:43):
Jalen Clark as well, who had a role throughout portion
of the regular season. They got Jamal Kine coming over
from the Pelicans playing with them. He had a role
for the Pelicans multiple years. He's a third year player
these wild years. Since his rookie year, he's had a
role for the Pelicans, whether it be injury or whatever.
For Leonard Miller as well. They got a big six'
ten that's been playing legit minutes for, them SO'S i
(25:08):
see the continuity here for The. TIMBERWOLVES i see the,
talent and then they have the size like they have
LIKE i, Said Leonard miller's seven to Ten, jesse yet
we're seven. Foot you've Got burringer coming over From slovenia
And france seven foot are basically Like you've got all
of these the, size the, talent, everything And minnesota hasn't
(25:32):
won one, yet AND i think that they're, like, hey you,
know we've got the roster AND i Trust Rob, DILLINGHAM
i Trust Terrence Shannon. JUNIOR i think that those are
gonna be two guards that every single team is going
to have a, really really tough time trying to. Guard
and Then Rob dillingham's ability to be able to play
make as. WELL i think you can get the ball
to all those wings and options that they. Have so,
YEAH i really do like This Minnesota timberwolves team as.
(25:53):
WELL i think that they have a chance to cut
down the.
Speaker 1 (25:55):
Nets let's go to the other side of the spectrum, Here,
trelle who are you fading among these summer league favorites
or even long shots. POTENTIALLY i know you already touched
on The. Lakers it seems like you're kind of fading
The Browny james Down connects experiment going on down. There
what about The jazz or The. Sixers they have a
lot of team into the triple digit odds here on.
DraftKings do you think there may be a little, overvalued
(26:18):
a little overinflated.
Speaker 4 (26:19):
Here oh, WELL i am definitely fading The. JAZZ i
don't see. It it was a lot of like a
lot of talk going around The jazz. Here and The
jazz do have some players that you, know they've gone
out there and they played. Minutes you Have philipowski for some,
(26:41):
size he played a bunch of. Minutes, collier we know
How Isaiah collier used to get. Down his assists were
really really good in the regular. Season like they have
the names and they have these, guys but, LIKE i
just don't know how all that. Messages you don't know
What Ace bailey is going to be on any given.
Night that first preseason game In, utah he was three for,
Thirteen so we'll see what he's gonna be able to.
(27:01):
DO i do like, SENSIBLE i think that he's really.
Good they have the wings and all, that But i'm
just NOT i just don't believe in the plus five fifty,
Favorite LIKE i really. Don't it's a big gap here
and it's a lot of things that could go, wrong
and you're telling, me you know what If Ace bailey,
DECIDES i don't want to play. Anymore Like i've gotten
these couple of extra these couple of games under my,
BELT i feel, good BUT i don't want to keep
(27:22):
going with, This LIKE i just not one hundred percent
sold On. UTAH i think that they're gonna be, fun
BUT i think they're a team that probably would be
getting like some six seven points in Some summer league
games and probably and probably, shouldn't like they really. Shouldn't
matter of fact that that seventy six ers, team they
almost beat them and they're really, Close And i'm really
(27:43):
not too too heavy on the seventy six, Ers LIKE
i just think anything could, happen And i'm NOT i
never want to bet on the shortest person on the,
Board LIKE i just don't think the books have it
figured out where it's like in summer league where anything can.
Happen they they know one hundred percent In utah is
going to win In utah is a VERY i guess
a significant get jumped From utah to anybody else in the.
Speaker 2 (28:01):
Odds, yeah, Yeah i'm with you.
Speaker 1 (28:05):
There so it sounds like we're fading The jazz a,
bit we're fading The, Sixers we're fading The, lakers and
then on board of The, timberwolves on board of The
Memphis grizzlies as, well any other team related notes that you,
have anyone that we should be staying away from or
maybe considering just a little sprinkle on in these.
Speaker 4 (28:21):
Odds, Yeah i'm not sold, on you, know the big
name the big name. PROGRAMS i don't think that They're,
boston even though they even though they did just Get
kenny lofton junior to come play for them for some
league that's gonna be really. Interesting i'm not really sold
on The boston of the. World The New York miks of,
course like The knicks don't even have they didn't even
(28:42):
have the talent to compete in summer league for for,
real like some of those big name teams and the
big market, teams The, warriors like this is this is
a small market league, here AND i think the small
market teams take advantage of this opportunity and they go
all in and trying to win a summer league Championshi
hey makes complete.
Speaker 1 (29:02):
Sense So terrell also out on The celtics fifty five to,
One warriors were seventy to one as, well so some
of those larger, names and then even The New York.
Knicks you mentioned The, KNICKS i, mean they're the longest
odds on the board right, now one hundred to. One
but it sounds like you're thinking that's just a donation
at that point as.
Speaker 2 (29:20):
Well so all, right.
Speaker 1 (29:22):
Let's round things out here with THE mvp market for
THE nba TWO k twenty Six Las Vegas Summer. League
Reed shepherd is your co favorite With nikola topic also
Have dalton connect at twelve to, one and Then boozellis
from The bulls coming in at fifteen to. One we
have where Khalil ware from The heat coming checking in
(29:44):
at fifteen to. One Gg jackson who you, mentioned also
at fifteen to.
Speaker 2 (29:48):
One, terrell who.
Speaker 1 (29:50):
Are you thinking has potentially an edge here out of
these favorites or you're going a little bit longer with
YOUR mvp.
Speaker 4 (29:56):
Picks, well THE gg at fifteen to, one of, course
is very very. Interesting, okay where could be interesting Because
miami's kind of been, there done, that they may pull him,
along but it's, curious like how much is he gonna
play like HE'S i think they have very very like Him.
(30:18):
BOZELLIS i think they have very very big plans for
them in the regular. SEASON i just don't know how
much they're gonna get here in preseason or in a summer. League.
Reach shepherd's. INTERESTING i don't think they have any plans for.
HIM a Topic i'm not really, there don't. Connect i'm
definitely not. There so, YEAH i think IF i had
(30:39):
to pick through, that it's clear cut Is gg for?
ME i Think gg's gonna get a bunch of run
and they're just gonna let him go. Wild and it's
because he's like Seventeen.
Speaker 1 (30:47):
Still anyone down the board at? All anyone maybe a
longer shot that you can give. Out and what about
the number one?
Speaker 2 (30:54):
Pick?
Speaker 1 (30:55):
Here is is it time to plan a little flag
With cooper? FLAG i mean going off in most books
over a thirty to one price tag to WIN.
Speaker 4 (31:03):
Mvp, YEAH i don't think. SO i mean you'd have
to go back all the way To John wall to
the LAST mvp that has won NOT, mvp but the
last first overall pick that has ONE, Mvp and SO
i don't think that that's in the run. POSSIBILITY i
don't think he's honestly going to play the number of, games.
LIKE i think he may get, one maybe two, games
and then they're, like all, right we've seen. Enough LIKE
(31:24):
i just don't think he's going to be able to
play that much. Yet it's like the accent and the
same thing for Aast, Billy, LIKE i don't think Ast
billy is going to get the amount of games to
try to win, this, LIKE i think it's going to
be a Lot, FURTHER i could see A Rob dillingham
Or Taryn Shannon junior at twenty five to one for
both of. Them Bryce sensible at twenty five to one
also is very interesting as. Well Bryce sinciwa Or Kyle
(31:45):
philipowski for the. Jazz if you want to get a jazz,
player those two players sound kind of. Interesting kobe carnsonah as. Well.
Well Kobe Karnson Carlton. CARTSON i say that's THE mma
fighter carl And canton And. BUB i Think bub is
gonna be, really really good So bubb at thirty to,
one and we'll see what happens with. That but he
(32:07):
just has that. Experience But i'm sold on on my two.
Teams if they don't get to the, FINALS i think
that at least those players are gonna be really. Good
and SO i LIKE gg at fifteen to. ONE i
Like Rob dillingham And Saronce Shannon junior both at twenty
five to. One that's How i'll play.
