Welcome in everybody to betting pros. It's time to place
your bets. It is me Joey p joe pis Apia
and this is VP NFL. It's Week two of the
preseason and we're gonna give you some of our favorite picks.
Week one is in the books. We saw some flashes
of some talent, exciting that little tease of football, the
width of games that count. We're not there yet, but
we can still make some cash. And to help us
(00:21):
do that, to roll Firman Jr. And the Undertaker himself
Andrew Erickson are here today. Don't forget to subscribe to
the YouTube channel. We're trying to hit one hundred thousand
this year in football season. I think we can do
it with your help, so again, drop your comment, subscribe,
bring the bell to the cos ding all those fun
things so you never miss a piece of content here
on our channel. When they're talking NFL betting and gentlemen,
(00:42):
we could just jump in here with two feet. Let's
start with the game bets here. We got the Browns
and the Eagles. Andrew Ericson really walk me through.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
Oh what what we're uping? Straight?
Speaker 3 (00:52):
We're gonna talk about this week with the joint practices.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
Oh well, who.
Speaker 3 (00:59):
Speak it for years?
Speaker 2 (01:01):
It was six okay, okay, I admitted, I admitted the
joint practices didn't work. But guess what I hit both
of the props more importantly, the coach Dog parlay cash
though Mike Tomlin and John Harball plus five fifty four
parlay is a winner, Like, come on, yes, yes, the
(01:25):
big thing was the joint practices under and yes they
were horrible, but.
Speaker 3 (01:32):
Yes we should talk about what how the Unders got destroyed.
Every team was starting their starters and that's why the
overs hit. And you see all the lines for week two,
they're all significantly higher.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
Do you believe it was that?
Speaker 3 (01:45):
I think believe of starting out so slowly, so they decided, well.
Speaker 1 (01:49):
There's less preseason games to you know, everything's been moved up.
When you get rid of that one week in the preseason,
you go from It was always the same thing, right,
It was Week one nobody played, maybe they played a series.
If that, then week two they played like a series
or two. Week three of the preseason historically they would
play half a game typically and then we four nobody
would play. Right, It was it was like who is that?
Speaker 2 (02:08):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (02:09):
Just go throw a jersey on it. You could play today.
We just don't want anybody get hurt. But it has
changed a little bit. I think I feel like the
NFL Andrews is still trying to figure out how to
best utilize these guys in these preseason games with just
three now as opposed to the old format of four.
Speaker 3 (02:22):
Yeah, I think that they really are trying to adapt
to what their team needs to do and how they
can set themselves up for success. Because the trend that
we always talk about, especially with the start of the season,
is you start zero and two, you're basically screwed to
make the playoffs. So teams are so terrified of starting
owing two, especially when it comes to a team like Shots.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
So the gist that one is some cool after the teams.
Speaker 3 (02:41):
Like the Cincinnati Bengals who made a clear effort to
know we're not we're throwing out what we've done in
the past because that has been horrible for our results
to start the year we're starting or started saw Joe
Burrow Jamar Chase out there throwing touchdowns having fun. Even
Joe Burrow after the games like still wasn't good enough. Like,
so we're gonna probably see him again in pre season
Week two. We're gonna see the Bengals in their starters
(03:02):
because they do not want to start slow, so at
least from my perspective, again, I like the joint practice
going after that trend from last year. But clearly the
trend to have followed in week one was more teams
taking the preseason seriously and that's why we saw, I
think partly so many overs hit.
Speaker 1 (03:19):
I do enjoy accounting bill of buddies here and we
are always accountable for our wins and our losses here
on the channel. That's what makes us a little different.
So shout out to Ericson for owning somebody else, and
of course shout out to the big money return last
week in preseason so you can make money. We'll see
what Charles gotten sore for us this week with the
maybe it's an SGP, maybe it's not the parlay. Who
(03:39):
knows what's going on here? So are we free now
to get into the games to you or have any
other goal?
Speaker 3 (03:47):
The Patriots all my other best for terrible. That was
the only one that the Patriots and everything else was terrible.
Speaker 1 (03:52):
Andrew Rickson Brown's at the Eagles, let's talk about it.
Where are you sitting here with your wagers?
Speaker 3 (03:58):
Yeah, I'm gonna go with the clear Browns here catching
points plus three at the Philadelphia Eagles. Now, the Eagles
traditionally have not been a team that has done so
well against the spread, especially with Nick Sirianni as the
head coach. So I was on the Bengals last week.
Unfortunately they fell just short. The Eagles did end up
coming away with the victory. Still, I want to trust
the process and fade Nick Sirianni, who tradioually has a
(04:20):
losing record in the preseason five seven to one against
the spread, and specifically when I looked at his preseason
record in Week two, where he's actually never covered a game,
so he's zero two to one straight up in week
two of the preseasons. So I think maybe we're getting
a little bit of overconfidence by the market saying, well,
the Eagles won last week, they'll probably win again, and
now their favorites against the Browns, who all indications are
(04:42):
we're just going to get more Sedar Sanders. Because right now,
at least the most recent report I was reading was
for some reason, despite all the Browns quarterback injuries, he's
not getting any first team reps with the joint practices,
so I guess that they're saving him for the game.
So I think we're going to see a lot of
shdar Sanders obviously saw that offense get going with the Browns.
(05:02):
We should are under center. In Week one, the Browns
ended up winning, So I like backing the Cleveland Browns
catching points as road underdogs, which has traditionally been a
good bet to make in the preseason.
Speaker 1 (05:13):
All right, let's see what Terrell's gonna catch here for
us next. Panthers at Texans. Torell, you got some feelings
about this one? Which side do you like?
Speaker 2 (05:21):
Yeah? I like the Panthers plus three on the road
here against the Texans. It's the same trend, but two
different sides of the trend for this game. Since twenty thirteen,
teams that lose double digits the previous week in the
preseason are really bad at home and pretty good on
the road. Forty two percent against the spread at home
after losing by double digits the previous week, but fifty
(05:42):
six percent on the road. And that just came in
because I already knew I wanted to back the Panthers
in this spot. I feel like the whole world was
against them last time, and really not the whole world.
There's a lot of Chadore Sanders out there, haters out there,
but there are more Shdore Sanders lovers. So it was
like primetime. Everybody's watching the Panthers in The Cleveland Browns
just go out there and they handle business. The Panthers
(06:05):
offense can't get going. I think that's going to be
an emphasis this week. They're also having joint practices and
so I think that this is going to be a
spot where hey, let's get Bryce Young and Ted McMillan going,
Let's establish that connection. Let's start moving the offense. I
like the defense for the Panthers this year. I think
they'll have a bounced back spot here. I think this
is a good spot for the Panthers, and I like
that the trend hits on both sides of the trend,
(06:25):
fading the Texans and also backing the Panthers. So I
like the Panthers plus three sprinkle on the money line.
Speaker 1 (06:30):
I want to see another Tech McMillan catch.
Speaker 2 (06:32):
That's what I want to see.
Speaker 1 (06:33):
I want to see. Actually, I don't want to see
too much. I just want to see a little bit,
a little bit of greatness there because I don't want
the ADP to rise too much in the fantasy drafts.
I like where I'm getting him right now is that
like a third wide receiver. So I'm seeing some people
that with some smart rosst be a little bit more
aggressive on him. But again that's fantasy stuff. We're talking
betting here. Let's go to an annual tradition and the
Jets and Giants the Swamp Bowl as I like to
(06:54):
call it. That's right, northern New Jersey. Not the best
location here in terms of what's around the stadium, and
Rutherford is not exactly. Oh, I don't know a hotbed
of fun, places to eat, drink and be merry. Uh
maybe some dead bodies here and there too along the
water line. A lot of pollution. But I don't want
to pollute anybody's thoughts about this game here. So Andrew
(07:16):
rickson Jets versus Giants. I heard a lot of people
talking about which team is gonna have more wins this year?
Answer that question for me, first, Terrell, who has more wins?
The Jets are the Giants this year.
Speaker 2 (07:29):
I'm actually really high on the Jets.
Speaker 3 (07:31):
Oh oh oh, all right.
Speaker 2 (07:34):
No, I had to think about I had to think
about our NFL team previews, and I definitely am higher
on the Jets.
Speaker 1 (07:40):
Ericson were you there too? Where the Jets are gonna
have more wins of the Giants this year.
Speaker 3 (07:43):
I think the Jets will probably have more wins, but
I don't think it's they not They may they may
have more wins, but they may actually be the better team,
like just because of the schedule.
Speaker 1 (07:52):
Oh that was deep, bro, that was very zen.
Speaker 3 (07:55):
All right, so deepro popular belief. You're not what you're
lost record always says you are.
Speaker 2 (08:02):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (08:03):
I think you are at the end of the day.
Let's talk about the number here. The total is thirty
nine and a half. Are going over or under?
Speaker 3 (08:10):
Mister undertaker, I'm going under here because Joe we talked
about this some the times. Sometimes you're not wrong, you're
you're just a little bit early. So I'm going back
to the joint practices because this isn't just one joint practice,
this is double joint practices. The Jets and Giants have
gone back to back days with a very physical joint practice.
There's fighting, there's things breaking out, so I'm going to
(08:30):
buy into the fact that these teams are going to
be gassed by the time that they actually have to
play in this game. I think it's going to be
much lower scoring. We've seen this matchup again played annually
during the preseason. Two of the last three preseason games
that the feature of these two teams, the score has
been six to ten, right, so sixteen total points. So
we're getting juiced up totals because of all the overs
(08:51):
that hit last week. So I think that we're already
getting some value on looking at some of the unders
because the numbers are so high across the board. Traditionally,
when you're betting preseason, you want to look the key
number is thirty seven points. Usually you want to bet
the unders when it's at thirty seven. And it seems
like every total this week, if you look, it's all
above thirty seven. So I think, just naturally you're gonna
see more unders cash and I think this Jets Giants
(09:12):
given the fact that it's double joint practices, I think
that these teams are not going to be necessarily scoring
a ton of points. And the other thing to report
on is out of camp or out of those practices.
The defenses have really dominated, so I think that the
offense might struggle a little bit.
Speaker 1 (09:28):
All right, let's get to the next game here we
want to talk about. It's the Ravens and the Cowboys
and Treel. Right before I came on, I saw it
really funny real where there's a woman who I don't
know if it's her boyfriend or her husband. She says,
you know, there's a trend where it snowed in Alaska
every single year for the last thirty years, and she
asked him, would you bet on that? And he said, well, yeah,
(09:49):
because the trend is so clear that of course you know.
Of course, of course I bet on it to snow
in Alaska. And she said, oh, why because it just
happens every single year and you know it to be true.
He said yeah. And she said, then why do you
bet the Cowboys to win the Super Bowl every year
and waste our money? And I thought that was a
pretty fair assessment there. I think that was some truth
that she dropped there for him, and he did not
have an answer for that.
Speaker 3 (10:10):
He just got mad.
Speaker 1 (10:11):
So I don't want to get too mad at the Cowboys. Already,
Cowboys Ravens here, it's really.
Speaker 2 (10:15):
To have a partner in that accountable right.
Speaker 1 (10:18):
Right, your countability buddies in real life, not just in
the professional world. Here, so let's talk about the Ravens
game with the Cowboys here. How do you see this
one working out?
Speaker 2 (10:27):
I mean it's very simple, but Harball seventy plus percent
against the Spray if this was Harball two years ago,
when they're still on the twenty something plus game win streak,
this game is easily Ravens minus six. Easily Ravens minus six.
They played around last week somehow, making the Ravens a
(10:47):
huge dog and we cash there. And now you're telling
me it's only one and a half against the Cowboys
who are just never good in the preseason. Brian Schottenheim
was still trying to figure it out. This Ravens defense
looked real solid in that first game out, and I
think they can have another game and oh yeah, it's
the Dallas Cowboys who are just never good in the preseason.
(11:08):
I don't have to question this. I have so much
to be excited about. Down the depth chart of this
Ravens team. Tez Walker looks good. The whole team is cohesion,
and this Cowboys team for three quarters effectively did nothing
in their first preseason game until the fourth quarter. I
want nothing to do with that team. Nothing you're telling me.
I get to back my favorite preseason trend and fade.
Speaker 3 (11:32):
The Cowboys all in one day.
Speaker 2 (11:35):
Absolutely Ravens laying one and a half. Thank you very much.
Speaker 1 (11:38):

to be successful this year wagering on NFL. Let's turn
our attention to the Props and Torell. We can start
(12:19):
with you on this one here. You're going to a
cult here to start things off here. So let's talk
about a d Mitchell.
Speaker 2 (12:27):
Yeah, ad Mitchell over twenty two and a half receiving yards.
He went over this in the first game. He's been
having a great camp for the Colts all summer. They've
been sawing that's the guy that they've been talking about.
And it's because he is on the bubble. He's fighting
for a roster spot, and as Sound says, he's as
he is. They have a lot of deep options in
his wide receiver room, and it seems like there's a
(12:48):
chance he might not make the roster, or if he does,
he might get traded to somebody with more of a need.
So he's constantly auditioning, auditioning, auditioning, And what does this
Colt team do? They just push the ball, push the ball,
push the ball. He's been playing with the threes, the fours,
the twos, the ones, like he's been going all around
and playing with the entire team. So I expect to
see him play an enormous amount of minutes here. I
(13:10):
think that we're gonna see him on the field at
Tome and so toy two and a half yards were
a guy that can go get that on really one
deep ball, Like yeah. I like Mitchell. I think he's
been having a great camp and I'm going to continue
to play him. I would even sprinkle a little on
the touchdown.
Speaker 1 (13:24):
I wonder if last week we could have bet on
cam Little to have a field goal over sixty yards.
I don't know if that was on the books or not.
Probably not, I would guess. But speaking of kickers, Andrew,
you got a kicker here you want to talk about
here for our props for week two?
Speaker 3 (13:37):
Yeah, enough of these skilled players. We're going to special teams.
Teams are back, baby, the kickoff returns. Oh, we absolutely love.
The special teams are way back to the other twenty five.
So I'm going Daniel Carlson Raiders kicker, gonna go over
two and a half extra points. The Raiders have one
of the highest implied team totals again as favorites playing
at home minus four and a half point favorites. Pete
(13:58):
Carroll so this is his first game playing or coaching
at home for the Raiders again, he's the new coach.
I think that he wants to get the crowd. Of all,
he wants to score points. He already talked about how
the starters are going to play decent amount in this
particular game. In the forty nine ers, Yes, they came
out of the lead against the Broncos in Week one
and then they gave up thirty unanswered points, including three
extra points. So home of the Dome, new coach, trying
(14:20):
to set the president, set the culture. I think they're
going to score some touchdowns here, and that means Daniel
Carlson is going to get at least three extra points.
Speaker 1 (14:27):
All right. I kind of touched on this earlier that
I wanted to see some more Ted McMillan, but not
too much. But Terrell, we're looking at his receiving yards
right now, twenty two and a half. Now you want
to take the over on this. I don't like this,
not because I don't want Ted to succeed, but I
don't want it to be too good here. But twenty
two does seem very achievable if he plays a couple series.
Speaker 2 (14:45):
I mean, last game he was two for six forty
three yards. Forty three that's what we need. Yeah, yeah,
and it was a drop and so like that. But
that's what I think that they're going to do. And
That's what I think with this last preseason game, because
I don't think they're going to play them in the
third precisson game, so this is really the last one
help establish that in game connection between Tech and Bryce.
(15:06):
If we're all projecting this thing to be where it's
going to be heavy heavy Tech McMillan in his rookie
year he had six targets in what two series, two
three series with Bryce Young in that first game, and
he has six targets already, and so yeah, I think
Tech McMillan's gonna be really good. Yes, am I a
little bit concerned obstingly on the other side, We'll see
how much they match up in a preseason game here,
(15:27):
But I think Ted McMillan, I trust the talent of
the player and the fact that they're going to continue
to force feed them and try to establish this connection.
Two catches gets me this too. I just need two
good catches and that can get over this. So I
think Tech's gonna go out there and have a nice
couple of series and them and be like, all right,
we saw nupsit down.
Speaker 1 (15:45):
All right, Andrew Rickson, what's left here for? You? Got
one more prop four?
Speaker 3 (15:50):
Week two going back to that Eagles Browns game, going
with Eagles quarterback Tanner McKee to continue to cook. So
over one hundred and fifteen passing yards is the prop
that I want to ride here. You look at McKee.
I know that all of the attention has been on
Shuder and you know how he's going to play in
this game. But McKee was really good in Week one.
I mean twenty for twenty five, two hundred and fifty
(16:10):
two passing yards, two touchdowns, and again the reason why
my Bengals ticket for the money line didn't cash despite
the line moving so much in their favors because Taran
McKee was playing too well. And I looked at him
historically during the preseason, only one time in seven preseason
games where he's played the majority of snaps has he
failed to go over one hundred failed to go under
one hundred and fifteen passing yards. So I think that
(16:32):
they're going to continue to feed him as a passer
in this offense and he's going to go over.
Speaker 2 (16:37):
Have you guys seen the Mark Phillips video about I
don't know if you guys know Mark Phillips in RDC,
but he does a video where it's a skit and
he's talking about how the starter feels on the sideline
when he sees the backup in the game and he's like,
oh yeah, good good play man, good throw, good throw,
and everybody else.
Speaker 1 (16:55):
Is like, oh, this quarterback's amazing.
Speaker 2 (16:57):
He's so much better than our starter. And they were like,
that was on the sideline.
Speaker 1 (17:03):
All right, everybody, let's take a look here at some
of the fun bets that we've got for week two.

bettingpros dot com slash chat. All right, gentlemen, let's go
and have some fun here. Andrew ericson, let's roll the dice.
(17:46):
What do you have for us this week?
Speaker 3 (17:47):
All right, I'm going back to the what did you
call it? The swamp ball between swamp ball Jets, Jessin Giants.
But I want to propose a question you guys. I'm
going to read a quote and I want you to
tell me which New York head coach said this after
they won in Week one of the preseason.
Speaker 1 (18:00):
Last year.
Speaker 3 (18:01):
No from last week, both teams won. As a postgame presser,
one of the one of the Giants or Jets head
coaches said this quote preseason or not, a win is win.
And I was always taught if you want to be
a winner, not only do you have to understand how
to win, but to understand how to consistently winking go bango.
And they're underdogs, baby, So I'm going to single game
(18:24):
parlay the Jets and Giants going under the total with
the Jets money line. I think that Aaron Glenn coming
in as the new sheriff in town for New York,
I think he wants to win over the home crowd. Right,
it's New York versus New York. In New York, there's
not really a home field advantage. You got Jets and
Giants fans all watch of the game, or they're there
at least maybe they're not watching the game, but they're
there enjoying the festivity. I just I know, brain Dave
(18:47):
all came through last week. It's not happening again. He's
one of the worst coaches against the spread in the
preseason and he specifically zero in three in week two.
Fade the confidence from him, and I'm gonna go with
the Jets money line and the parlay.
Speaker 1 (19:00):
All right, Andrew Erickson all in in Jersey this weekend, Terrell,
where are you taking us for your parlays or your
big bets of the week?
Speaker 2 (19:08):
All right, I know the people want to know joint
practice under parlay. Here we go because there this is
wild that you know, we had the variance that everything
went over last week and now we have literally NFL
game totals going on in the preseason, so I mean
regular season game totals going on in the preseason. So yeah,
(19:30):
I can't wait to fait those first leg Broncos Cardinals
under forty and a half. Forty and a half is
just wait too much for the reasons wait too much,
and plus also I think that this Broncos defense is
pretty solid, and I trust Jonathan Gannon to just be
able to come back and bring this Broncos offense back
down to life. After a really really good road win
against the forty nine Ers in the preseason, next game,
(19:51):
Pats Vikings under thirty nine and a half. Actually, teams
that score thirty four plus in the preseason typically come
down to life the next week. So I am going
to take the under here in another joint practice session.
And then finally we are going to end with the
rivalry game they play it every year. Forty nine Ers
Raiders in the preseason under forty and a half way
(20:14):
too much. I expect the practices to be physical. I
think the game is gonna be physical. We're not gonna
see a bunch of points. All of those are gonna
go under and that pays ninety six Wait what is that?
Six forty five?
Speaker 1 (20:27):
Six forty five? There you go the same time I
woke up this morning. But what are you in on?
Drop your comments below? What's your favorite bet for week
two or even better yet, who has more wins the
Jets or the Giants this year? I want to see
that debate in the comments. Who has more wins Jets
or Giants in twenty twenty five?
