#021 - Life Lately: Grief, Roadtrips & Back to Work

In this episode of Beyond Brave, we (Kyla and Lyle) invite you into one of our most honest, tender conversations yet—sprinkled, of course, with our usual humor and a few unexpected laughs. We open up about the ongoing journey of grief after losing our sweet Bella, and what it’s been like finding our footing again, both individually and as a couple.

Lyle shares what it’s been like going back to work after eight months (spoiler: it’s been a rollercoaster of nerves, healing, and... explaining what he actually does). Kyla talks about a recent counseling session that really shifted her perspective, and the possibility of going back to subbing—grief doesn’t come with a playbook, but we’re figuring it out, one step at a time.
