(00:18):
Welcome to Beyond Organised, the podcast that helps you simplify your life and amplify your purpose. I'm Mel Schenker, life coach, speaker, founder of She's Organised, but, more importantly, a wife and mum of four little kids. If you've ever felt overwhelmed, like you're constantly juggling everything but never quite catching up, this is the place for you. Here we go beyond just the tidying up and creating systems. We're talking about real life strategies that bring order to your life, but also we talk about the things beyond the organising, the things that really matter, like your parenting relationships and so much more. So grab your coffee and let's dive in.
(00:59):
Today I wanted to just do asmaller, more simple episode for
you.
I really, really feel to justdo an episode where I encourage
you.
I am talking to women on adaily basis, all incredible, all
amazing, everyday mums,everyday women.
(01:23):
And the most common thing thatI'm seeing is I'm not good
enough.
I'm failing.
I feel guilty for doing this ornot doing that.
I'm overwhelmed.
I'm just not good at what I do.
Like it's just all thisnegative self-talk.
And yeah, okay, maybe you'renot keeping up with things.
(01:44):
Maybe things have gotten a bitout of hand.
But that is so normal.
It is so normal to have periodsof your life and seasons where
it is a challenge.
And it's okay to ask for help.
So a lot of the people that I'mtalking to, there's quite a
(02:06):
number of them that are ready totake action.
They're ready to actually takeon the feedback and the help
that I'm giving them.
But so many, so many of youaren't.
You come to me overwhelmed, stressed, not sure what to do,
but you're actually not ready totake action.
(02:26):
You're still stuck in a, well,I hate to say it, but you're
still stuck in a bit of a victimmentality for a lot of you, not
all of you, but it's a veryhard place to coach and to come
out of when you're still in avery bitter kind of place.
So I encourage you that if thisis you, if you are stuck in
(02:52):
this overwhelm, but you reallydesperately want life to be just
more simple, more balanced, that you just get through the
everyday and you can actuallyhave a smile on your face.
If this is you and you're beingstuck in this cycle of maybe
trying a whole lot of differentthings, but none of it's quite
(03:14):
sticking because you're notquite ready yet.
I encourage you to actuallyspend some time with yourself.
So without the kids around, without distraction, if you can,
get in a babysitter, get yourmum to help, get someone, anyone
if possible to help, or even ifyou don't, do this in the
middle of the night if you needto.
(03:36):
But take some time to actuallywork out where you currently
are, work out what you wouldlike to be, and a time frame for
it.
So if you're currently stuck inthis season where you can't get
on top of the household chores, your place is a mess.
No matter where you walk, youwalk down the hallway and
(03:56):
there's bits of rubbish aroundthe place as well, just because
you can't even get around tosweeping it or vacuuming it up.
There's constant reminderseverywhere of falling short, or
even around your work, you'renot keeping on top of your
workload.
Maybe it's your time, you'reconstantly running late to
different events, having tocancel last minute just because
things get out of control, yourmoney is all over the place, and
(04:18):
you're scraping around tryingto find coins under the couch
just to pay for things.
Whatever the situation is, Iwant you to map out what your
current reality is.
And I want you to think aboutwhere you would like to be.
Maybe it's just having thehallways clear.
Maybe it's being able to stayon top of your finances a bit
(04:40):
more.
Whatever it is, I want you towork out what your ideal
position is and then put a timeto it.
Now, I'm not talking abouthaving your life completely in
order by this time next week.
We want to be realistic withour goals.
I'm sure many of you have heardof SMART goals.
We want to use the SMART goalsystem.
(05:02):
We want to be specific andmeasurable and all of that.
So put a time to it.
And look for a lot of people, even a year is a realistic time.
Now, if you're impulsive likeme, you want it done yesterday.
I get it.
I really do.
But it's not always abouthaving that instant result.
(05:25):
Sometimes it's actually aboutsitting in it, working through
it, working out why you've cometo this position, how you've
come to this position in yourlife, and why you want things to
be different.
So I also wanted to say thatregardless of where your
(05:47):
starting point is, whether youreally are a complete mess or
not, I want to encourage youthat you're not failing.
You might have been paused, youmight have been set back, you
might have even completelyfallen flat on your face, but
it's okay.
Because then the only way fromthere is up.
(06:10):
And you don't have to get backup on your own.
I'm offering a hand.
I'm offering a hand to help youget back up off the ground and
moving forward again.
If you feel that you are readyto break out of this season that
you've been in, that you're sotired of being stuck and you're
(06:32):
just done.
You are ready to take action nomatter what it is you've got to
do, which I'm telling you, I'mnot gonna make it too painful.
But if you're ready, Iencourage you to book in a
20-minute free clarity call withme.
If you book in the call withme, we'll talk about your
current situation.
We'll look at some options foryou.
(06:53):
So if you book in the call withme, we'll go through your
current situation and talk aboutthe ways in which we can help
move you forward and then pointout the best coaching offer and
package for you.
So then we can get you goingbecause I'm seeing it daily,
every day, women all over theworld.
(07:14):
I love my Aussie mums.
I'm an Aussie too.
But I've got so many of you inthe US, Canada, UK, New Zealand.
Honestly, you're everywhere.
It's all the same message.
You're all feeling that strainand that stress, and you're just
stuck.
And you're ready.
You are ready to break free ofthis and carve out a better life
(07:37):
for you.
Because it's not just aboutyou, it's about your children
that are watching you, learningfrom you, how you handle this.
And it's not a sign of weaknessasking for help.
I would love to help you inwhatever capacity that is, with
whatever budget you've got.
I would love to help you.
(07:58):
So please, if that's you, feelfree to book in that clarity
call.
And I just want to encourageyou that you are not alone in
this.
You are amazing.
You are so precious.
You were created just right.
And I know you might be feelinglike you've stuffed up, that
you haven't made the bestchoices in life.
(08:19):
But as a firm believer, as aChristian here, I'm telling you,
God does not make mistakes.
And I know it can feel likesometimes that maybe you're even
the mistake, or your children,or things that have happened to
you, and you probably feelterrible for thinking that way.
But he doesn't make mistakes.
(08:40):
But he can make anything goodcome from your current
situation.
He's made you with thepersonality and the tendencies
that you've got.
Don't be hard on yourself ifyou are that impulsive person
that you can't keep to aschedule, can't keep to a budget
or anything like that.
All of these things can bestrengths, and I can help you
(09:04):
with that because I have beenthat impulsive person.
I have been that woman, thatmother so hard on myself,
feeling like I'm completelyfailing everyone I love and
everything around me.
And I haven't stayed there.
I'm not in that positionanymore.
I don't think that way aboutmyself.
(09:24):
Yeah, of course, there's thingsI am constantly trying to
improve and make better and bebetter for me and my family.
But I am enough.
I am good with who I am today.
And I will keep working to be abetter person tomorrow.
(09:46):
But if that's you and you wantto be in a position where you
can actually look at yourself inthe mirror and go, Yep, that's
okay.
I might have all the mum fat onmy stomach, and I don't really
like how I look, or I don't likehow I feel, all these things,
that's okay.
We can get to a position whereyou can actually look at
yourself with who you are now, flaws and all, and go, I'm
(10:11):
enough.
So I hope that this encouragedyou a little bit.
I know it's quite different towhat we've had, and we've got
some incredible speakers linedup in the weeks to come.
But I just wanted to encourageyou today, particularly as we
head into the busy season, as wehead towards the end of the
year and Christmas time andeverything.
(10:31):
Just want you to take a minutefor yourself to put yourself
first, to be able to pour from acup that is overflowing
ideally.
So you are enough.
Thank you for listening.
Thank you for being part ofthis podcast and the community
that I've got.
I do appreciate every singleone of you.
And I would love to hear fromyou.
(10:53):

you've got.
And we will get going fromthere.
