Speaker 1 (00:10):
What's going on everybody?
This is Pastor Lee.
Welcome to Beyond.
Sunday, I'm your host and Ipastor Christ Family Outreach
Church, located in Amelia, virginia, and today at the table
, I got two very special guestswith me.
You may have heard them both onthe podcast before, but this is
the very, very first time everthat we've all three sat down at
the table together to record anepisode here at the table with

(00:32):
me today are my brothers inChrist, daniel Rayner and
Frankie Brown.
Daniel, how are you doing, mybrother?

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Blessed brother, just honored to be here.
Praise God and just love beingwith you guys, amen.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
Amen and Frankie.
How are you doing today,brother?
Hey, I'm just as blessed, bro,Amen.
I'm excited to have y'all at thetable, appreciate both of y'all
coming in.
I know your schedules are busybut thank you so much for coming
, fellas.
I'm excited about this episodebecause I was thinking about the
fiery furnace two or threeweeks ago and while I was
thinking about it, the HolySpirit just kind of deposited

(01:05):
this thing inside my life abouthow cool it would be to have
three people around the table.
This is the thought that wasjust kind of put in me by the
Lord just working andministering to me how cool it
would be to have three peoplearound the table talking about
the fiery furnace.
As there was three men bound upin the fiery furnace and we
know Christ is there the fourthone in the fire, just like

(01:26):
Christ is in this room with ustoday, the fourth one here as
well.
Amen.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
Amen.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
So I'm really excited about it.
Just to very quickly set thetable before we get going into
the Word of God, kingNebuchadnezzar is upset because
Shadrach, meshach and Abednegowill not bow down and worship
the golden image that he hadmade.
And that brings us to themeeting where the king gives the
three young men one more chanceto bow down to the image.

(01:52):
And that's where we're going topick up today.
In scripture, my friends, ifyou have your Bibles, go ahead
and open them to Daniel, chapter3, and we're going to begin
there.
Daniel 3, beginning with the16th verse, says this Shadrach,
meshach and Abednego answeredand said to the king O

(02:13):
Nebuchadnezzar, we have no needto answer you in this matter.
If this be so, our God, whom weserve, is able to deliver us
from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of
your hand, o king.
But if not, be it known to you,o king, that we will not serve
your gods or worship the goldenimage that you have set up.
So, fellas, where are you guysat with that?

(02:34):
Right there here the king.
He's made this image, thisgolden image.
They've got to bow down andworship it.
They're not?
So the king says I'm going tothrow you in the fire.
Where are y'all at with that?

Speaker 2 (02:44):
Man not.
So the king says I'm going tothrow you in the fire when y'all
at with that man, two wordscome to mind is sold out, bro,
they're sold out to God here, man.
Amen.
Their faith is amazing.
Right here, man, they just nomatter what they go through,
they're trusting their Lord andSavior to provide for them.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
This is another example, right, Brother Daniel,
of an Old Testament story thatis relevant right here in New
Testament living.
And that's what the OldTestament is.
You know, I said this pastSunday at church the only
difference between the OldTestament and the New Testament
is Jesus Christ showed up on thescene.
Right, we know that Jesus waswith God from the very beginning
.
We see that in Scripture.

(03:18):
But Jesus Christ shows up onthe scene, and so these stories
that we're reading in the OldTestament, we're to use them
today in New Testament living.

Speaker 3 (03:29):
I love it because they were so prepared for this
day.
When this happened, man, itwasn't the first time that these
guys were like, well, what ifthis happens?
What if no, they were preparedfor this day and they were ready
to die.
And their actions showed thatthey were ready for it.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
So when you said that , this is what hit my spirit
this won't the first time thatthey face fire.
I love that.
Now, maybe a physical fire, right, but this won't the first
time these boys face fire.
Amen, bro.

Speaker 3 (03:59):
They seen the heat before, that's right, they felt
the heat before right and theyhad that to the end mentality on
this one right here and itshows, bro, it's powerful Life
or death, life or death.
I think this is honestly for me, my own opinion, but I believe
this is the boldest statementI've ever seen in scripture,
what it just says straight up,like we will not worship any

(04:20):
other god.
It's powerful, bro.
It's that even if mentality anyother guy.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
It's powerful, bro, it's a even if mentality.
Yeah, yeah, even if the pointthat I get when I read this
particular part of the passageis these guys aren't running
around, stressed out, you know, they're not fanatically running
around trying to figure out howthey're going to escape the
presence of the king, howthey're going to get outside of
what the king wants to do topunish them.
They're not even worried.
You know what I'm saying.

(04:48):
They're not even worried.
This is how it is.
Our God is able to deliver us,but if this is not what he wants
to do you know what I mean OurGod can do this, but if this
isn't what he chooses to do,it's okay.
Like, can we just take a minute, fellas?
Can we just take a minute andtalk about the but-if-not moment

(05:10):
?
Because the three men make itvery clear that even if God
doesn't deliver them from thistrial, god is still God.
God is still God and they willnot bow down to anyone else.
And maybe there's some peopleout there, some listeners out
there right now, that are goingthrough some things and they're
not bow down to anyone else.
And maybe there's some peopleout there, some listeners out
there right now, that are goingthrough some things and they're
just wondering, like, why Godhasn't healed them, or why God

(05:31):
hasn't done this, or why hasn'tGod rescued me in this way and
maybe God is rescuing them.
They're just looking for therescue boat.
They're looking for thelifeboat on the wrong side of
the ship.

Speaker 3 (05:41):
Yeah, I had a question when I was thinking
about this was like what wouldit take to get me to worship
another guy?

Speaker 2 (05:52):
That was just something that kind of hit me.
What about you D?
That's powerful man.
I'm thinking the whole timeyou're talking.
I hope I'm there.
I hope I'm in that spot, bro,because I mean, that's strong,
you know's strong.
When they said anything, itdon't matter, it don't matter.
It is and that's what we're allstriving for.
I feel like, as Christians, asfollowers of Jesus, is denying

(06:13):
ourselves.
Picking up our cross andfollowing him.

Speaker 1 (06:17):
To be at that point to say, even if he don't deliver
us, man oh my goodness, man, notice that these guys, they're
not trying to talk their way outof this thing.
No, they say look, we're givingthis to God and if God wants to
deliver us, he will.
But if this isn't what Godchooses to do right here, I mean

(06:38):
, you talk about fully relyingon the Father.
Moving on, daniel, chapter 3,19 and 20 says this Then
Nebuchadnezzar was filled withfury and the expression of his
face was changed againstShadrach, meshach and Abednego.
He ordered the furnace heatedseven times more than it was
usually heated and he orderedsome of the mighty men of his

(06:58):
army to bind Shadrach, meshachand Abednego and to cast them
into the burning fiery furnace.
So, fellas, I'd like to pointout something here.
Prior to this, the king had noproblems with these three young
men.
As a matter of fact, just as areference, if you're taking
notes, daniel, chapter 2, verse49, tells us that they were in

(07:19):
charge over the affairs of theprovince of Babylon.
But when the king did not gethis way, the Bible says his face
changed against them and thenhe orders the furnace to be
heated seven times hotter thanusual.
So to begin with, the king'sgot no beef with these guys.
He's got no problems with themuntil they don't do what he
wants them to do.
So I'd like to point this partof it out.

(07:44):
When we make it about us, howquickly we can miss the mark.
The king's made it about him.
He had everything going on forhim as far as his kingdom is
concerned, as far as the worldlypiece of it we know that he's
going to get the spiritual pieceright at the end of this but as
far as this goes the finances, the clout he's got everything
going for him.
But yet he makes it about him,he misses the mark.

(08:05):
And how quickly we can getoffended, just like this king
did, when we make it about usand it doesn't go our way.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
It's like brother Frankie put this morning in
devotional man talking aboutanger.
Anger got the best of him heretoo, and if we don't keep our
anger in check, man and I likedthe way Frankie pointed out what
the Holy Spirit led him thismorning is about pausing in the
midst of anger.
That's so good, man.
Just when you get angry in asituation because he did which

(08:34):
you know he was dealing withpride there I feel like as well,
like you're going to worship me, you're going to do what I want
you to do, and then when thatdidn't happen and he reached a
point of anger, he spiraled outof control.
Yeah, and that's what we dowhen we miss the mark, you know,
of anger the.

Speaker 3 (08:50):
Holy Spirit hit me this morning.
He was like the pause is theantidote to anger or rage.
Yeah yeah, antidote to anger orrage.
Yeah yeah, that's good.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
Yeah, that's good.
And sometimes you just gottasee love.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, see love.
Just gotta say love.
Right, it's like what we weretalking about at church when I
saw you up there this morning.
Sometimes you just gotta saylove.
You know, you just gotta takethat break, you gotta take that
pause.
I think when we take that pause,it gives the Holy Spirit time
to readjust what we've messed up.
I know when, when my two boyswere younger, I would walk into

(09:23):
the playroom and it could be ahot mess and I'm like I just
cleaned that up.
You know what I'm saying Like Ijust cleaned that up.
I wonder how many times theHoly Spirit on the inside of us
says I just cleaned that up.
You know, I just we just workedon that, lee, we just worked on
that, and you done made a messout of this room again.
I just cleaned that up.
So, yeah, that's a really greatpoint, brothers, that there's

(09:46):
times in life where we justgotta hit the pause button and
just let God do some work on theinside of us before we make it
even dirtier than what italready was.
We make it even dirtier thanwhat it already was.
Daniel, chapter 3, 21, says this.
Then these men were bound intheir cloaks, their tunics,

(10:08):
their hats and their othergarments and they were thrown
into the burning, fiery furnace.
Because the king's order wasurgent and the furnace
overheated.
The flame of the fire killedthose men who took up Shadrach,
meshach and Abednego.
And these three men, shadrach, meshach and Abednego, fell bound
into the burning, fiery furnace.

(10:29):
Can you imagine what they werethinking as they're being tied
up?
Like all right, god, this is it.
This is that.
Even if moment, this is it,we're trusting you to work, but
if you don't, we know that youare still going to finish this.
You're still going to finishthis.
So they get bound up, the doorsopen to the furnace.

(10:49):
I mean, man, I just imaginethis door big enough to push
three guys in opening up.
You know what I mean.
Three guys in opening up, youknow what I mean.
And flames so hot that theycome out and kill who's pushing
them in, but yet they're stillliving.
They're still living.
So this door opens, this fireis kicking out.

(11:12):
They're getting ready to bethrown in together.
What's y'all's take on that?

Speaker 2 (11:19):
Man, what I think about, too, is the bound part.
You know how many times we getbound in this life with
addictions and the chains thatbind us, any kind of addictions
and stuff that bound us, sothey're going into the fiery
furnace.
And we can be like that too aswell.
When we're living this lifewithout Jesus and bound by
chains, it's basically likewe're in a fiery furnace as well
, but they're physically insomething that's about to take

(11:41):
their life, plus they're bound.
I mean, I just think that'samazing, man, what they're
actually going through at thismoment.
Yeah, and they're still like myGod got this.

Speaker 1 (11:52):
What I see in that too.
By being bound up, you can'tfight.
You really got to let God dothe fighting for you.
Yes, you know they are bound upand they're thrown in and
there's no kicking, there's nopunching.
You know they're just beingthrown in there and they're
letting God do the fighting forthem.

(12:12):
And of course, we know Jesusshows up in the room.
You know he shows up in thefurnace man.

Speaker 3 (12:18):
When I was reading this to prepare, I just had this
whole.
The Holy Spirit gave me a wholenew perspective on this.
I'm looking at it fromNebuchadnezzar's point of view
too.
I'm even thinking about that.
He picked his best men to tiethese guys up, so know, so he's
getting ready to to, to losesome of his best men to this.

(12:40):
You know, and I'm I'm I justhad a perspective on
Nebuchadnezzar that I hadn't, Ihadn't before, as he's sitting
back watching all this unfold.

Speaker 1 (12:47):
You know, that's really good Cause the King back
then would have only let thepeople he trusted most around
him with with weapons and thingslike that in his, in his inner
court.
So absolutely, he had trust inthose guys right there.
This is his best man and you'reright, he's getting ready to
lose some.
Getting ready to lose some, yeah, yeah.
Daniel, chapter 3, moving onwith the 24th verse, says Then

(13:14):
King Nebuchadnezzar wasastonished and rose up in haste.
He declared to his counselorsDid we not cast three men bound
into the fire?
And they answered and said tothe king true, o king.
He answered and said but I seefour men unbound walking in the
midst of the fire and they arenot hurt.
And the appearance of thefourth is like a son of the gods
.
And I'm just going to say thisjesus christ met them in their

(13:38):
fiery trial matthew 18 20 says, for where two or three are
gathered in my name.

Speaker 2 (13:42):
There I am among them and that's so powerful.
Right there he's walking withthem because they put all their
trust and faith in jesus to bewith them, to deliver them
through what they were goingthrough, and he's there with
them right powerful man rightthere, and they, they trusted
that god was going to deliverand oh, he did, man.

Speaker 3 (14:00):
I was reading in the Psalms this morning, psalms 4-4.
I'm going to read it to you.
It says be angry and do not sin, reflect in your heart while on
your bed and be silent.
I'm going to just tell you whatman.
When Jesus Christ shows up inthe fire, I oftentimes believe
he shows up when we're silent, because I believe a lot of times

(14:22):
it's when we're angry and wewillfully choose to sin that we
kind of miss seeing the fourthman show up.
But when we're silent, man, wegive God the opportunity to show
up on the scene and start doingsome things that we just don't
have the power to do.

Speaker 1 (14:39):
Yeah.
Or even prevent ourselves fromdoing it, kind of like what you
said earlier what you and D weresaying, kind of when you, when
you just be still hit, to hitthe pause button.
Yeah, isaiah 41, 10,.
God says fear not, for I amwith you, be not dismayed, for I

(14:59):
am your God.
I will strengthen you, I willhelp you, I will uphold you with
my righteous right hand, and Ilove that because it just
reminds us that we don't have tofear.
Why?
Because God's with us.
We don't have to be dismayed.
Why?
Because he's our God.
He will strengthen us, he'sgoing to help us and he's going
to uphold us with his righteousright hand.
You can't go wrong with that.
Whether you're in the furnaceor out the furnace, god's there.

Speaker 2 (15:21):
And, brother Frankie, when you mentioned being silent
, I feel like the Lord led me toExodus 14, 13 and 14.
It says, and Moses said to thepeople Fear not.
Stand firm and see thesalvation of the Lord which he
will work for you today.
Amen.
That's good For the Egyptians.
Egyptians whom you see todayyou shall never see again.

(15:44):
The Lord will fight for you andyou have only to be silent.

Speaker 1 (15:49):
Amen, it's got to be still.
Yeah, got to be silent.

Speaker 2 (15:52):
Just be silent.
It says the Lord will fight foryou and you have only to be
silent.

Speaker 1 (15:59):
I feel like that's like and we didn't even plan
this prior to the podcast but Ifeel like that's like a
recurring theme that's going onhere throughout all this text.
You know just being still, justbeing silent, letting God do
the fight, let God do the battle, let him do that fighting and
seeing him on the scene.

Speaker 2 (16:15):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (16:20):
So maybe today, the listener, if you feel like
you're bound up by something, man, just be still be silent.
Let God fight for you.

Speaker 2 (16:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (16:24):
Because right here in the scriptures it said that
when the fourth man showed up,nobody was tied up anymore.
Chain breaker and we know thebest man tied him up.
You know they did what the kingtold him to do, but this king
that showed up in the scene inthe fire with them and ain't
nobody bound, no, Hallelujah.

Speaker 1 (16:43):
Look, man, I got a little confession to make.
I was not ever a Boy Scout, right, and I do not know how to
tie knots.
So when we go camping or we goplaces, you know, I got to look
for another man.
Be like hey, man, you know howto tie a good knot, that's so
embarrassing Like my best knotbro is like them.
Granny.
Knots always work for me Liketying shoes.

(17:04):
What do they say?
Like around the heel andthrough the hole or whatever.

Speaker 2 (17:07):
I don't know about all that, that's my type of knot
man.

Speaker 1 (17:10):
So you know, I think about how these guys tied them
up with their best knot had tohave when they bound them up.
Whatever they bound them upwith, they did it at their best
strength, with purpose.
They bound them up with purposeand I want to encourage the
listeners out there.
If you feel bound up like maybeyou can't even breathe, I just
want to let you know that JesusChrist can untie any knot and he

(17:34):
can break any chain.
You ever had a knot in yourshoelace that you just can't get
undone and it's just tight, tight, tight.
And your fingernails are tryingto work this thing out and
you're just trying to, like, digand pick at this knot because
you pulled the wrong shoelace atthe wrong time and, instead of
loosening it, it winched it.
It just got it tight and it'sdifficult to get it.

(17:54):
And I just want to say, if youfeel like you've tied yourself
up into a situation in life, Iget that, but I want to
encourage you out there, ifyou're listening right now, in
this moment, I want to let youknow that Jesus Christ can untie
any situation that you've gotyourself wrapped up in.

Speaker 3 (18:13):
Yes, amen.

Speaker 1 (18:15):
Daniel, chapter 3, 26 , says Then Nebuchadnezzar came
near to the door of the burningfiery furnace.
He declared Shadrach, meshachand Abednego, servants of the
Most High God, come out and comehere.
Then Shadrach, meshach andAbednego came out from the fire

(18:36):
and the satraps, the prefects, the governors and the king's
counselors gathered together andsaw that the fire had not had
any power over the bodies ofthose men.
The hair of their heads was notsinged, their cloaks were not
harmed and no smell of fire hadcome upon them.
Brothers, I love this part.
The Bible said that the firehad no power over them.

(18:58):
What do y'all think about that?

Speaker 2 (19:01):
Man, I feel like it.
Just they don't look like whatthey went through.
That's good, bro.
Say it again, brother.
Yeah, they don't look like whatthey've went through.
Yeah, you know, when Jesuscleans you up, that's the thing,
man.
When you go to God, you don'thave to be cleaned up.
I've always felt like the enemywill try to destroy people
because they say you ain't goodenough to go to God, you got too
much going on, you got too manyaddictions.

(19:23):
Well, how about just go to Godwith them addictions?

Speaker 1 (19:25):
Yeah, and let God clean you up.
Let God clean that up, andthat's what?

Speaker 3 (19:29):
I just feel like them guys they don't look like what
you've been through D you too,Frank.

Speaker 2 (19:39):
Thank you, I received that brother Praise.

Speaker 1 (19:41):
God, amen, brother, in Jesus' name, amen, amen.
I love the fact that the king'sgot to do a little humble party
right here.
He got to humble himself.

Speaker 2 (19:53):
Yeah, humility, especially when he finally says
service of the Most High God.
Yeah, so he acknowledges theFather now?

Speaker 1 (20:00):
Yeah, because prior to this fiery furnace ordeal, he
was wanting him to bow down tohis golden image that he had
made.
That's right, but now he isreferencing the Most High God as
who.
He needs to be called the MostHigh God.
Most high God as who?
He needs to be called the mosthigh God and I think, I think
that that's powerful.
Yes, and you know he wants tobring them out and have

(20:23):
conversation with them.
Like hey what was going on inthere, you know, by the fourth
man?
right, yeah, yeah, the Bible.
The Bible doesn't give us thatpart of of history, it doesn't
give us that part of theconversation.
But, man, I'd love to just beenlike a flower on the wall in
the palace that day to hear whatthat conversation piece
actually further went into.

(20:44):
That's right.
You're right, brother Frankie, tell me about that fourth man
that was in there with y'all, yeah, what's up with him, like
y'all know him.

Speaker 3 (20:51):
What was he saying?
What did he tell you guys?

Speaker 1 (20:54):
Yeah, yeah, you know the Father is rewarding you for
your faith.
I mean, what went on in there?
That's powerful.

Speaker 3 (21:03):
I was going to ask you, Pastor Lee, what kind of
similarity do you see with thefurnace here, and even Moses
with the burning bush?
You know how it wasn't consumed.
Is there anything that kind ofhits you when you see that?

Speaker 1 (21:17):
Well, to me the burning bush wasn't consumed
Like, is there anything?
That kind of hits you when yousee that?
Well, to me, the burning bushwasn't consumed and the three
young Hebrew boys weren'tconsumed because God was in the
midst of it.

Speaker 3 (21:27):
Amen bro.

Speaker 1 (21:27):
And I just want to say, when God is in the midst of
something, if the world triesto put pressure on it or heat on
it to destroy it, god can stillrefine it so good.
Or heat on it to destroy it,god can still refine it, and
just like when fire refines andit's going to get impurities out
and make something better.
That's really what we seehappening right here in the

(21:50):
fiery furnace.
It changes the king's heart.
This fire that the king set fordestruction is now changing the
king's heart.
Think about that.
The king's own trap comes aroundto humble him.
It was the king's trap that Godused.
You know what I mean.
It was the king's trap that Goddecided to use.

(22:13):
And what I love about it is isthat Shadrach, meshach and
Abednego they didn't fall for it.
The trap didn't concern them.
That's right.
It didn't scare them.
They're like well, hey, if thisis the tactic that you're going
to do, if this is the path thatyou're going to go, if this is
the way that you're going to putus on, whatever God can deliver
us from this, but even if not,we're not bowing down to that,

(22:34):
you know, because God is still,at the end of it, going to have
victory here.

Speaker 3 (22:38):
Amen bro.

Speaker 1 (22:40):
And Brother D coming inside to record this podcast
you share with me, like how youwere seeing, how this fiery
furnace is much like today'sculture, us With believers in it
.

Speaker 2 (22:54):
You want to share that with me, yeah, us, with
believers in it.
You want to share that, whatyou're sharing with me.
It kind of made me think aboutyou know where.
You got three guys here in afire and Jesus with them, and
I'd already mentioned Matthew 18, 20.
And it kind of reminds us threehere together.
Jesus is here with us and it'salmost like we're in a fire

(23:15):
because what we're talking aboutthe world don't appreciate, the
world don't accept what we'retalking about.
You know, people can be killedin some countries for what we
talk about.
So I just think it's amazinghow God laid this on your heart
and had us three together, knowing he would be with us.

(23:38):
But it kind of reminds me ofthe whole story in Daniel 2,
chapter 3.
So that's pretty amazing.

Speaker 1 (23:46):
I just want to encourage the listeners if
you're going through a fieryfurnace type trial in your life,
keep pressing, don't give up atall, because God is in the
midst of it and all you got todo is understand that he wants
to rescue you.
But you got to be willing to beobedient, to do whatever it is

(24:06):
he's calling you to do.
He will remove the chains, hewill take off what has you bound
up.
But you got to be willing towalk in freedom.
And I'm just going to say thatthat's what these three, these
three fellows, were willing todo Shadrach, meshach and
Abednego.
They were willing to walk infreedom.
They understood that theyweren't going to find that path
of victory running aroundscrambling like a chicken with

(24:29):
his head cut off.
They knew that the only way tofreedom is to have full
obedience and trust and rely onGod.

Speaker 3 (24:36):
Trust in God can lead to miracles, and I know it's a
lot of people especially, I knowand I'm sure you guys know some
as well they're counting on amiracle, either for themselves
or for a family member or for atrusted friend.
You know, and so I pray thatthis would encourage the
listeners in Daniel, chapterthree, read it in your own spare

(24:57):
time and just see how, um, howthe trust that the Shadrach,
meshach and Abednego had intheir God, and how it led to a
miracle of them being saved.
Not only were they saved, butalso this King um gives God
glory, and that's a miracle inand of itself, right there as
well, absolutely A man whowanted all of the attention to
himself.

(25:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (25:17):
Absolutely.
A man who wanted all of theattention to himself is now
saying no, no, no, no.
We're giving this to God.

Speaker 3 (25:20):
And he even rewards them too.
Yeah, he rewards them for theirfaithfulness.
Man, that's mind-blowing.
Amen it really is.

Speaker 2 (25:28):
God's servants were delivered.
They trusted in God, they setaside the king's commands and
they yielded up their bodiesrather than serve and worship
any God except their own God.
So you got a lot of thingshappening right there, and
that's what led me to Matthew 16, 24, where and yielded up their
bodies rather than serve andworship any God except you know,

(25:53):
our God.
So then Jesus told his hisdisciples if anyone would come
after me, let him deny himselfand take up his cross and follow
me.
They're yielding up theirbodies, just like we do each day
, trying to die to self.
Yeah and um and yeah.
When you mentioned brotherfrankie about um trusted in him,
it brings me back to psalm 37,where trust in the Lord and do

(26:16):
good, dwell in the land andbefriend faithfulness.
That's good and that's whatthey're doing.

Speaker 1 (26:22):
I love that, bro.
Yeah, amen, yeah, reread thatone more time.

Speaker 2 (26:25):
It says trust in the Lord and do good, Dwell in the
land and befriend faithfulness.

Speaker 1 (26:32):
That's so good, I appreciate that.
Amen, bro, praise God, it's sogood.

Speaker 2 (26:34):
I appreciate it, praise God, it is great and, as
you mentioned too aboutNebuchadnezzar, he had a change
of heart.
When he makes that decree, itreminds me of 2 Corinthians 5,
17.
Therefore, if anyone is inChrist, he is a new creation.

Speaker 3 (26:47):
The old has passed away.

Speaker 2 (26:48):
Behold, the new has come.
He went from all the pride tohumility.

Speaker 3 (26:53):
The new is there.
The new is there.
The new is there.
That's the refiner's fire right?

Speaker 1 (26:56):
Yes, Think about this , brothers, If those three men,
young men, weren't willing to gothrough the fire.
The king's heart never changes.

Speaker 2 (27:05):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (27:07):
If the king's heart never changes, there's a kingdom
, there's a whole province, anentire province that keeps being
led the wrong way.
Not only does that entireprovince continue to get led the
wrong way, but everybody elsethat that decree went out to
would have continued to be ledthe wrong way.

Speaker 3 (27:25):
Amen.

Speaker 1 (27:25):
So all of this has changed, generations changed.

Speaker 2 (27:29):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (27:30):
Generational curse is broken because three young men
were willing to not run from thefire, but willing to go walk
through it.
Amen, bro, in the name of God,yes, and trust in the Lord.

Speaker 3 (27:44):
I even reasoned at the end of this chapter that
even their death would have hadjust as much of a significant
impact as them following andtrust too, whether he saved them
or not.
I believe that this would havemade a statement because the
King and the rest of the peoplewould be like who are these
three men that was willing tolay down their life and
sacrifice it and not bow down?
That's going to get talkedabout too.

Speaker 1 (28:05):
Yeah, but if they, if they would have ran, it would
have been the normal thing to do.
In the eyes of the world, running is a normal thing and
I'm just going to say, I'm goingto say this in love, we got too
many Christians that arerunning from what God called
them into simply because they'regetting uncomfortable, simply
because the heat, the thermostat, got turned up.
But that's why you seeChristians that you've known

(28:27):
them for years and years andyears, but their faith never
looks like it's grown because, quite frankly, it's not.
Amen, because they don't wantto let the thermostat get turned
up.
You know they don't want thespiritual intensity to get
cranked up and so, look, if youjust want it set on that
temperature, that degree, thenthat's where you're going to
remain.
But the Bible says we're to gofrom faith to faith and glory to

(28:48):
glory.
So you know we go, we go, gothrough some things in order to
get to those levels, amen.
We're going to go through somethings and so, again, it would
have been normal to turn aroundand run like crazy.
But they didn't do that andbecause they didn't, their world
where they live got changed andwe're still talking about it in
2025.
Here in Amelia, virginia.

(29:08):
That's powerful.
That's powerful.
I mean, we're still talkingabout it.
So to the listeners, what's Godtrying to do in your life that,
thousands from years from now,if the Lord tarries in his
coming, I particularly don'tthink it's going to tarry that
long, but if he did, hundreds ofyears from now, whatever, it's
going to be five years from now, five months from now, five
weeks from now, what's God doingin your life that five weeks,

(29:32):
months, years, whatever from nowpeople are going to be able to
turn back and look and say I'mtalking about that because that
was such a powerful testimonyand it changed them and God used
it to change me.
What's God trying to do in yourlife to not just open your eyes
, but open everybody else's eyesas well?
Brother Frankie, you want topray for us, absolutely.

Speaker 3 (29:53):
Father, I just thank you for this message today.
I thank you for the fire man.
I thank you, God, that youtrust us enough to put us in the
fire, God, and crank it up.
I thank you that you crank itup, sometimes three, four, five,
seven times hotter, because youknow what it takes to really
melt those impurities that's inour lives, God, and if we're
being honest from a humanperspective, Lord, we don't want

(30:14):
anything to do with it.
But, Lord, I pray today that arising will come into the hearts
of your faithful and that theywill be like God, we're not
running anymore.
I pray for the person that isrunning right now, God, that we
pray for the person that'srunning right now, God, that
they would rise up to thechallenge, Lord, God, that they
would put their trust in you, that they would wait in the

(30:34):
midst of chaos, in the midst ofdestruction, in the midst of
chaos, in the midst ofdestruction, in the midst of
addiction.
God, that they would wait.
And in the middle of their wait, they will see the fourth man
show up, Lord, we love it whenthe fourth man shows up, because
when you show up, Lord, thingschange.
When you show up, Lord, livesget changed, God Lives get
altered.
I pray that you would do thatfor each and every listener

(30:55):
today that's willing God to say, man, put me in the fire.
I'm willing to trust you andI'm not going to bow down to any
other God but the Lord JesusChrist himself.
We ask all these things inJesus' name, Amen.

Speaker 1 (31:08):
Amen Brothers, I appreciate y'all being on here
with me.
Lord, I look forward to doingit again, and until next time on
Beyond Sunday, continue to seekGod with all your heart and
even if he calls you into thefurnace, know that he is going
to be there.
