(00:37):
Welcome to Beyond Sunday, andthanks for being here for day 21
of anchored in God's promises.
Each day this month, we'rereminding ourselves of one
unshakeable truth fromscripture, promises that can
carry us through whatever lifebrings.
Today's verse is one of the mostpractical promises in the entire
Bible.
It's first Corinthians 10 13says this, no temptation has

(00:58):
overtaken you except what iscommon to mankind, and God is
faithful.
He will not let you be temptedbeyond what you can bear.
But when you are tempted, hewill also provide a way out so
that you can endure it.
The verse begins with a truththat's both sobering and
comforting.
No temptation has overtaken youexcept what is common to
mankind.
That means you're not alone inthe struggle.

(01:21):
Every believer, in everygeneration has faced temptation.
Sometimes the enemy wants you tobelieve your struggle is unique,
that you're the only one dealingwith it.
But God's word says otherwise, you're not the first to face it.
You're not the only one in it,and you are not without help.
And here's the foundation.
God is faithful.

(01:41):
When you're in temptation, it'seasy to focus on your weakness,
but the power of this promise isthat it's not built on your
faithfulness.
It's built on his.
He knows your limits, he knowsyour tendencies, and he promises
not to let you be tempted beyondwhat you can bear.
That's not saying you're strongenough on your own.
It's saying his faithfulnesswill never leave you trapped

(02:02):
with no way forward.
This is the heart of thepromise.
When you're tempted, he willalso provide a way out so that
you can endure it.
God always makes sure there's anexit.
Sometimes it's obvious,literally walking away from a
situation.
Sometimes it's internal.
Shifting your thoughts, prayingfor strength, or calling someone
for accountability.

(02:23):
The key is looking for theescape route instead of giving
in.
Temptation is strong, but God'sprovision is stronger.
There's always a way to stand.
I remember a young man who cameto me struggling with addiction.
He said, it feels like I can'twin.
I've prayed, but I keep falling.
We read this verse together andI asked, what's the way out God

(02:43):
might be providing for you thatyou're not taking?
He realized for himself and theissues on his computer, he had
never installed filters, neverinvited accountability, never
changed his patterns.
In other words.
The way out was there, but hewasn't walking through it with
support and prayer.
He started taking those steps.
He began to experience freedom.

(03:04):
Sometimes the way out isn'tdramatic.
It's practical obedience to thedoor that God has already opened
for you.
Now, here's your challenge fortoday.
Think of one area wheretemptation keeps tripping you up
in that area.
Pray this verse out.
Loud, loud.
God is faithful.
He will provide a way out.

(03:24):
God is faithful.
He will provide a way out.
Then look for it.
Maybe it's a friend to call averse, to meditate on a decision
to walk away sooner, or a habitto replace with something
healthier.
The way out is there.
Ask God to help you see it andtake it.
Let's pray.
God thank you that no temptationis stronger than your

(03:44):
faithfulness.
Thank you for always providing away out today.
Open our eyes to see the exityou've made for us.
And give us courage to walkthrough it.
Help us rely not on our ownstrength, but on yours.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
Hey, thanks for spending a fewminutes here on Beyond Sunday.
If this episode encourage you, share it with someone who might

(04:04):
be battling temptation rightnow.
If you need a way out, reachout, have accountability.
Begin to pray these prayers toGod.
Other people may need this samereminder that God is faithful
and he always makes a way.
I'll see you here tomorrow.
