Brittney Slayes is the driving force behind Unleash the Archers. As a founding member alongside drummer Scott Buchanan, she's been the band's lead vocalist since their formation in 2007. Her powerful singing and captivating stage presence are undeniable trademarks of the band's sound. Beyond vocals, Brittney likely contributes to songwriting, crafting the fantastical narratives that weave through Unleash the Archers' concept albums. Interestingly, she also manages to balance the demands of motherhood with her rockstar persona, inspiring many women in the metal scene. Most recently, Slayes celebrated the release of Unleash the Archers' new album, "Phantoma," on May 10, 2024. Check it out here.
On this episode of Beyond The Boys Club, Brittney Slayes speaks to Anne Erickson about her musical journey, ignoring haters, and she stays grounded.
