Speaker 1 (00:22):
what is up, everybody
, and welcome back to beyond the
DJ Booth podcast with yourco-hosts.
I'm Joe Bunn, that is my man, brian Bonacisi.
That's it, we're back.
We always say we're back.
Speaker 2 (00:34):
It has been a few
weeks.
It has been a few weeks.
Both of us not 100%.
Something's wrong.
Hauling season is upon us.
Woo, so I've been here for twoyears, three years now, maybe.
Yeah, this is the worst I'veever seen.
It Is this bad?
Speaker 1 (00:46):
Yeah, it's bad
Record-breaking.
Unbelievable and it's neveraffected me.
I don't know if I was justgenetically predisposed not to
get pollen infected, but man, this year it's, or either I'm
sick, I don't know which it is,but welcome everybody.
This is the podcast for privateevent djs just like yourself,
(01:07):
brought to you by dj eventplanner, our favorite crm.
Collectively, we use it to runour businesses.
Dj event planner dot com.
Check them out.
Okay, let's talk about the.
I'm not sure which episode itwas was.
I think it was aita.
Yeah, aita, am I the asshole?
Yeah, you brought up severalquestions and remind me of the
(01:29):
question.
And then somebody came for yourhead on youtube right, remind
me what happened.
Speaker 2 (01:33):
I think it was the
walk it backwards.
The scenario was well, therewas two of them.
One of them was if someonewants you to play overtime and
you don't take the money.
And then the other one wasabout a wedding planner kind of
walking all over you basically.
Oh, and the other one was thekid, the kid on the gear.
Okay, yes, so let's start withthat one, because that's the
easiest one, because afterlistening to the playback I was
(01:54):
like, yeah, I probably wouldnever let him scroll on my
computer to look for songs.
Speaker 1 (01:59):
Would you?
Speaker 2 (02:00):
No, no, you would
pull the songs up for him, right
?
If he's playing on the gear,I'll help him, but I would never
let him like just scroll on mycomputer for a song, and so I
think I had said that I wouldallow that.
Yeah, I'm walking that back Iwould never let somebody on my
computer interesting to look fora track.
Okay, has that ever happened toyou no, it's never happened to
me.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
I think the only time
that anybody has ever done
anything even similar to that.
They were just pretending orfaking to DJ Okay, which, if
it's a wedding couple, that's agreat picture, right?
Especially if you're in it.
Speaker 2 (02:30):
I totally agree.
Okay, so like that was where Iwas coming on the other side of
it.
Sure, needing context man, Ineed to know if this person's
behaving themselves.
Are they two, are they five?
Speaker 1 (02:39):
Are they seven, I
don't know, or they're 25, right
yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:41):
If they're legit,
able to get on a gear, I have no
problem creating a moment.
Speaker 1 (02:45):
Yeah, I think.
Speaker 2 (02:46):
I saw one with Jeff
Scott Gold where he did a
grandma yeah.
Speaker 1 (02:48):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, and
I thought that's so cool.
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
Like that made that
wedding.
Everybody's going to rememberthat moment.
Absolutely, and if I can createthat in mine, great Yep, the
wedding planner and I didn'tgive it enough context, meaning
that if the bride and groomhired you and the wedding
planner said, no, follow myrules, not what the couple?
Said that was the context ofthat.
I have an actual document.
(03:11):
This is a learning opportunityfor folks.
Right now I'm going to sharewith you a little bit of my
process.
So when we do all of theplanning, I go a level deeper.
I had one bad review that Iever got from a New York event
and like my streak was solidbecause it was only my events,
not my team.
So I was going like maybe 20 or30 deep all five star and then
I got a one star and it wasn'tmy fault, it was something that
(03:33):
the planner had suggested, andso I said you know what I need
to protect myself.
So now I create this document.
I call it an event day serviceplan, edsp, and what I've put on
there is who is in charge ofthe hierarchy in certain areas
timeline, music, and I can'tremember the third one, but
there was three things.
The couple signs off.
(03:55):
We talk about it.
Speaker 1 (03:56):
We say who are you
telling me this?
Speaker 2 (03:57):
And they sign off on
it.
That way, If they say, hey,Brian, you're in charge of the
music, Then hey, the planner hasnothing to do with it.
Not even a couple really couldcome up to me at that point,
Cause we've agreed that they'regoing to default to me on it.
But when I was referring todefaulting to the planner, 99%
of the time the planner is theone that's in charge of the
schedule.
So even if the couple wanted tochange it, they've given that
permission not to me but to theplanner to make those decisions.
(04:21):
And so that's what I kind ofneeded to add context to.
It's not like I would bepicking sides or whatever
because of a referral situation,it's because it's already been
discussed way in advance.
That is the context that neededto be added to this.
Speaker 1 (04:34):
Okay, and then what
was the last one Over time?
Yeah okay.
Speaker 2 (04:37):
So I think for me and
I'm not saying this is for
everybody, but I think you'realso at this price tier where I
charge enough that if I knowthat the event's going to go an
hour over or I think it couldhave possibility, I've allocated
enough money in there.
Okay, a lot of the couples Ideal with they're spending six
figures on their wedding atminimum yeah.
And they don't like to benickel and dimed.
(04:59):
Yeah, I can't say that for allof our couples, because we have
ones that are under that that myteam works.
They don't mind that we do havean overtime clause for some of
them in that regard.
Speaker 1 (05:08):
But when they?
Speaker 2 (05:08):
get six figures.
People want to know thatthey're paying it all in, they
don't want to have to thinkabout it and we found that to be
almost like a selling point forus at that tier of price point
and I've never had anybody abuseit, Literally like I might go
an hour longer.
I had one couple back in theday when I had packages.
I had the bronze the silver, Ihad the platinum and I did
(05:35):
unlimited hours.
Big mistake, I had one persontake advantage of it and they
literally went for eight hourswith 100 people.
I'm like why are we doing this?
They were in a small room and Ihad to fulfill it and so I said
you know what?
Never again am I wording itthat way and I didn't charge
correctly for it at the timeRight, right, right.
Now I'm at a place where thatdoesn't happen, so I just wanted
to make sure I added thatcontext to how I would not ask
someone to pay for my overtime, because I've already got enough
(05:56):
in the kitty on the front end.
Speaker 1 (05:57):
Do you feel like most
Brian B shows are five figures
plus?
Yes, 10 grand plus.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
Mm-hmm, if you're
getting on a plane especially,
yeah Right, that's with year.
I don't want to say that's justfor me.
No, no, no Production traveltalent fee.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
The way you do it.
Speaker 2 (06:13):
Lay it down Right.
Speaker 1 (06:14):
Yeah, that makes
sense to me.
I don't think that person, butbut they would be nice, I don't,
they weren't coming from myhead.
No, no, I know, but I don'tthink they understood what price
point you're working with.
Yeah, it's not like us wherewe're getting three or four
grand right.
In that case, if I was doing anhour, I'm gonna get some money
well, if I'm.
If I'm 10, 15 minutes pastmidnight, or 11 or whatever it
(06:37):
is, I'm no problem but if youwere going to jamaica, I mean,
what are you gonna?
do.
Yeah, anyway, I'm just going togo back to my room and watch
Netflix after it's over.
Speaker 2 (06:44):
For another if it
made sense.
And that's the other part ofthe context too.
Speaker 1 (06:47):
And again, sorry,
it's just you're building on the
memory Right.
Yeah, we were raging at 11.
The dude kept playing.
We were just like go, keepgoing, keep going.
Speaker 2 (07:05):
You're just building
your legend.
That point right.
And there's always the caveatin that event day service plan
that I have the authority or thepower to decide on the spot if
we're going longer or not okay,it's always explained, it's
signed off on.
There's no gray area when weget there.
Speaker 1 (07:15):
Someone's hammered
you can't shorten it can you?
Speaker 2 (07:17):
I wouldn't because I
planned for that amount of time.
I mean, if it really needed itand I felt like it would help
the party, I would go up to themand say it me too but I've done
that before I.
Speaker 1 (07:25):
I can't remember the
last time I've done it, but I
have done it oh, I have done ittoo, and I just was like hey,
you know, I know y'all want todo a sparkler, exit the way.
Let's just say it was 75 peopleto start with, now it's down to
45, like yeah hey, if you wantthis to look good in pictures,
we probably should end 30minutes early yeah, I always say
to them you don't want to bethe last two on the dance floor
with everybody else that's leftalready.
Speaker 2 (07:46):
Leave it with a great
venue.
It doesn't make you feel great.
Speaker 1 (07:50):
Totally.
Let's talk about real quickwhat the last few things you've
done.
We always batch create these,so we haven't done them.
In a few weeks.
What were the last few gigs youdid?
You went down to South Carolina.
You took the evolved 90s.
Speaker 2 (08:03):
They were incredible.
Yeah, they were.
I gotta say I, I, I heard themat the dj collective yeah to
play on them for the first time.
I was in an old building and Iknow you played on on a building
that wasn't really wired soundpower wise, so maybe you can
talk to that, but I was a littleworried about that, honestly,
yeah, right, but I I tested themfor throttle and it worked and
I never had them go out on me atone time.
(08:24):
This was an older building, butit was a interesting wedding.
It was what they call a sandgate, which is usually the day
before or two days before thewedding.
This was the day after thewedding, so they've been
partying for two straight days.
So I'm like am I getting sloppy?
Speaker 1 (08:38):
Yeah, right, right
right.
Speaker 2 (08:39):
And the wedding went
to 1 am the night before, so
they went to 1 am the nightbefore.
So they brought a bus with uhan iv for every guest.
No, they did, they're all inthe lobby just like hooked up.
Speaker 1 (08:50):
Wow, it was
incredible.
So they're ready to go I likethat.
Speaker 2 (08:52):
The sand geek went
great.
It was very edm, heavy, which Imean I can play sets of that.
Yeah, I was a little bitworried about like can we do
this all night?
Yeah, right, right so I droppedit to some edm.
That was like 70 beats perminute, kind of like not trap,
but like ish.
Speaker 1 (09:08):
If you will.
Speaker 2 (09:09):
And that helped, but
it was from seven until one
Straight dancing.
No formalities.
But then you said they had likesome musical entertainers come
in, so seven o'clock they had adrummer I forget what they call
it like a doula drummer it Iforgot what they call it like a
Dola drummer.
Speaker 1 (09:23):
It's these massive
Indian drums.
Speaker 2 (09:24):
So they basically did
like a second line ish with
those guys in.
That was for five minutes.
Oh wow, the only other breakthere was was a toast halfway
through.
That was it, and so then torestart it.
I was also like, oh shoot, Igot to restart it and it was
like this we'd already beenjamming them pretty hard.
So I'm like I don't want tofigure out how to restart it,
(09:44):
but we figured it out and themom was super stoked.
It was really for her, more sothan the bride Right.
So it was great.
And then I did a charity eventwhich was a nonprofit.
They raised no, that was a whileback.
This was for a private schoolthat like like the one that my
daughter goes to and they raisemoney for the school.
Like they don't need it Cause, trust me, they're getting tons
of tuition money.
So they had 11 auction itemsand I basically was playing it
(10:08):
was they called it?
Um, uh, the good life, theDolce Vita, and so I had to come
up with all this Italian musicto play for dinner and then we
went into the dance party.
The funniest thing to me was Iknew I was in the South because
this was in Tallahassee, florida, when they had the auction
items which I had to playstingers for when they would win
.
The first one that theyauctioned off that started at
(10:28):
$10,000, was six front rowtickets to the graduation with a
Yeti cooler included.
I'm like whoa who does this,like I'm like who's bidding $10
thousand dollars to go tograduation and and they were
having a bit off war and went tolike 13.5 or something crazy
for a graduation.
Okay, that's when you got f youmoney.
Speaker 1 (10:50):
I'd rather sit in the
back, totally holy smoke.
Speaker 2 (10:54):
So it was fun, it was
a good gig, so I haven't done a
wedding in a while.
I'm due for this weekend.
Speaker 1 (10:58):
Yeah, we we reset the
22nd of March.
Great wedding we were at thebarn at Wakefield, awesome
couple, challenging sound.
Challenging sound.
We did not take the 90s, wetook the 50s, because they don't
have an elevator, they have, like, a handicap lift.
That's the main reason, yeah itwas rough but we got up there.
Great party.
It was a perfect start to theseason.
(11:19):
I distinctly remember themcoming up to me at the end and I
go thank you, we've done amillion fundraisers, even in the
last year.
Remember we talked about on thepodcast like not great weddings
, and finally I was like we'reback, we're turning the corner
here.
Speaker 2 (11:29):
I love that.
Speaker 1 (11:30):
And then we went into
last weekend, another good one
at Merriman Wynn, where we'regoing to have the DJ Collective
by the way, not signed up,wwwthedjcollectiveofficialcom.
It is filling up.
Speaker 2 (11:41):
You took the 90s to
that one.
Speaker 1 (11:42):
I took the 90s.
Let me walk backwards.
So I had a couple of where thebooth power went out and luckily
this crowd was awesome and youplay there all the time.
I play there all the time.
Now, to be fair, I've neverplayed on this wall.
I was played with my back tothe windows.
Speaker 2 (12:02):
I've been playing
there so they could see your
stuff.
As they were coming from thelawn, they could see your laptop
and all that.
Yeah, they could see inside.
Wow, yeah, that's interesting,so it was fine.
Speaker 1 (12:07):
I mean, it's just a
little weird.
You know what I mean.
The suite art table was wherethe DJ booth normally is, so
they have power on that windowwall.
Speaker 2 (12:14):
They do Right.
Speaker 1 (12:16):
It wasn't that it was
, I had made some cables, oh.
Speaker 2 (12:20):
Personally Personal
cables.
Yes, sir, Good old NLFX notapproved.
No.
Speaker 1 (12:25):
So I modified a cable
that NLFX made.
I took the end off and the newEvolve 90s have a PowerCon, the
blue adapter, not an IEC Right.
So I had modified cables and Iwired them up wrong.
Speaker 2 (12:38):
Oh no, so when it
started, started hitting hard.
Speaker 1 (12:41):
It kind of shorted
out the booth and this didn't
happen during any formalities.
Speaker 2 (12:44):
This was, thank god,
not the grand entrance.
No, no, absolutely not.
Speaker 1 (12:48):
This was like peak
dancing, though, and and like it
was like whatever, don't stopbelieving.
Music drops and people justkept singing and, to be fair, it
was uh, it was hotel.
Speaker 2 (12:57):
Oh, and they just
kept singing and luckily the
computer stays on.
Speaker 1 (13:04):
It just obviously
comes off charge and it's such a
newer m1 computer that itreconnects to serato super fast.
I don't think it was five, tenseconds wait oh, is that quick.
Speaker 2 (13:15):
You were able to
switch it back on and we can't.
Speaker 1 (13:17):
We're like what's
going on and finally I got on
the mic, I was like, hey guys, sorry about that, we're gonna
figure it out.
We need to run an extensioncord.
So I kind of just went down toone speaker, which was still too
much.
We had the master at minus fiveand the sub at like minus 12.
Speaker 2 (13:31):
Wow, so you will ever
use those in that space.
Speaker 1 (13:33):
Yes, because now I
bought new cables and I have a
new power conditioner.
But is power?
Speaker 2 (13:38):
conditioner, but is
it too much?
Speaker 1 (13:39):
like oh, will I use
the speakers there?
I'll use the speakers, but Iwill not use the 90s in there,
right?
It's too much, right, andthat's why I'm glad I kept the
50s.
Like you know, your firstinstinct when you get something
new is to sell the old or mineis yeah, I'm glad I didn't sell
my 50s.
Yeah, the 90s are way too muchfor that room.
I had the staff telling me toturn the bass down.
I had you know like it was too.
Speaker 2 (13:58):
So as soon as you
moved it, it didn't go out again
or did it go again?
No, Okay, it didn't.
So how did it switch back onthe circuit?
It wasn't the circuit.
Speaker 1 (14:07):
It was the booth
itself.
Oh, got it, so I think what itwas was bad power into the rack
mounted power strip Got it,tripped the whole booth.
So the booth shuts down, but itcomes right back on.
There's not even one of thoselittle things that pops out or
anything.
It just it would come rightback on.
And so basically, I mean theywere just kept singing and I
would just hit start again.
(14:27):
And I, just like I said, I goton the mic.
I was like hey, we're going tofigure this out.
And once I unplugged it andmoved it to another outlet,
never problem, never a problem.
Speaker 2 (14:36):
In those moments,
though, do you get a little
nervous dude the whole rest ofthe.
Speaker 1 (14:40):
It was probably an
hour and a half left of dancing
and I was like the whole timeI'm like, oh, my god like he I
mean he was looking at me.
He's like bro, is this gonnahappen again?
I'm like dude.
I hope not, yeah so anyway, itwasn't their fault, it was but
the party went great party wasgreat.
I think they had a great time.
Speaker 2 (14:57):
Good sports, yeah.
Yeah, they weren't like nobooze, no, you know.
Just they kept singing, yeah.
Speaker 1 (15:03):
And luckily, like I
said, it wasn't like I had to go
in get the venue manager go hita breaker.
Speaker 2 (15:08):
Yeah, those are the
worst, those are the worst,
worst.
Speaker 1 (15:14):
Yeah, it was my fault
.
How did?
Speaker 2 (15:15):
you realize it was
that issue, though Did you take
it apart?
Speaker 1 (15:19):
I texted Ben Stowe at
NLFX the next day and I go hey,
man, you know this happenedlast night.
Any ideas?
And he goes, are the cables?
You know, there there are alittle bit of screws inside
those power cons.
Green goes to this positive, negative, and I think I had two
of them backwards positive, negative, and I think I had two
of them backwards so it stillwould work, but it's wrong.
(15:40):
Oh, wow, and so I go.
You know what, man?
I'm gonna just send these backto you and in the meantime just
make me a new set and send them.
So now I have a set of combocables with an iec in for the
50s, I have a set with the powercon in for the 90s, and then I
have a set with just a femaleextension cord for my subs and
12s got it but why do you needthat power cable if he already
(16:00):
comes with it?
because I like to use thosecombo cables where it's got the
xlr and the power in the samecable got it instead of running
you know two separates.
Speaker 2 (16:07):
Yeah, exactly makes
sense anyway, cool learn a hard.
Speaker 1 (16:11):
Well it's good.
Speaker 2 (16:12):
This is why I love
this podcast, because it's not
all rainbows and puppy dogs, aswe say.
Right, right.
Speaker 1 (16:16):
But it was a great
wedding.
That's awesome.
Speaker 2 (16:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (16:18):
And then we're back
on tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (16:19):
And you're back on
tomorrow.
Speaker 1 (16:21):
Tomorrow's a wedding,
a full-blown wedding.
Speaker 2 (16:22):
Full-blown wedding
Down in Florida.
So I'm back to it.
All right, let's do it.
Speaker 1 (16:30):
We'll talk about
those on the next batch
recording.

What else are we doing today?
Speaker 2 (17:00):
I got a little gear
corner segment for you.
I'm on planes a lot and theyhave a rule you can't take out
your laptop till you're like10,000 feet, I hate that and I
just I have an iPad.
I don't like using it, meneither.
I just I don't like to pull it.
Speaker 1 (17:12):
I use it for backup.
Speaker 2 (17:14):
That's's it, so I
usually am going through my
phone and I usually have thesecrazy long emails and I'm like I
don't want to type this outwith my thumbs.
I'll wait till I get a computerright.
I'm like this is stupid.
I've got 30 minutes before Ican actually pull it out.
Speaker 1 (17:25):
What can I do?
Speaker 2 (17:25):
same way enter in a
bluetooth and this thing is like
, looks nice and fancy too.
It's a keyboard with a trackpadhere and it's all bluetooth
capable, so you can type on thiswith your iphone and it links
to it via bluetooth.
No, so you can pull this out,do work with it, hold it up to
(17:46):
the camera.
Yeah, it's super small.
You want to feel it?
yeah, but it feels heavy duty, yeah uh, it's about the same
size as that apple keyboard thatcomes with the imac the one
thing that I don't use on it,which I thought I would use more
, is the trackpad Right, becauseI'm like I could just do it
with my finger quicker to get tothings on the phone screen.
Speaker 1 (18:03):
So you're saying you
will open your emails and then
you just kind of rig it up onthe little stand on the back of
the seat and then this is juston your lap.
You're just typing it away.
Speaker 2 (18:23):
And they never have
come to me and said I gotta put
this away because it's too small.
Wow.
So what do you think?
Pricing wise, oh um, this is onamazon.
You can get it on our youtubedescription.
You'll see it down there thatour store 49.95.
Let's see here what was it.
It was 26.99.
Damn, but I think it's a goodlittle find, because I do too,
man.
Speaker 1 (18:32):
I just don't use an
ipad enough and like this I mean
, technically, though, you canpull out your ipad and the ipad
you can buy, a.
The only thing that would makethis better.
Speaker 2 (18:40):
Yes, if there was one
fix I would have is a holder
for your phone.
That'd be sick, but outside ofthat I love it.
It's a really good find.
Go to our description onyoutube, yep, and you can get it
there, or just ask us in thecomment.
Speaker 1 (18:53):
I'll be glad to send
you the link hey djs, are you
still showing up to gigs with aflimsy facade or, worse, a
banquet table?

We got a question.
This is from my boy, al, fromPensacola, florida, albert Lau.
Yeah, he's a good dude, youknow him, I do know him.
Do I know him?
I know?
Okay, I need to get him to cometo the collective, but he had a
great question for us today.
Speaker 1 (19:32):
I thought that would
be good.
You want to read it?
Sure, I'll read it.
Speaker 2 (19:35):
I was at a country
club this past weekend and was
undersold on both the layout andthe amount of people that were
going to be there from thewedding planner.
I had to do the grand entranceintroductions away from the
booth as both of my assistants Itypically use were unavailable
that day.
I'm curious if you don't havean assistant with you, would or
do either of you use a BluetoothiPad mixer combo to walk with
(19:56):
you to change the songs?
Speaker 1 (19:58):
I'm going to be at
the booth regardless.
I mean I do introductions fromthe booth period.
I'm just a little bit confusedon the question.
I mean I always get the layoutin advance, so that wouldn't
have happened.
I always ask the amount ofpeople, so that wouldn't happen.
I guess I'm trying to justfigure out what happened here to
where he feels like he was kindof flustered or whatever, my
guess is that because I think,if this is in pensacola, there's
(20:18):
a country club called thepensacola country club.
Speaker 2 (20:20):
There, okay, they
usually put the dj outside and
then have the dinner and theintroductions and formalities
indoors, okay, okay, so to seewhen they finish.
You kind of you can kind of seein the window, but, like it's,
if there's a, if there's a lotof sun, there's a glare, it it's
hard to really tell.
So you kind of having to walkback and forth to kind of do it
that way.
I wouldn't trust a BluetoothiPad personally.
(20:43):
And does it work with Pioneergear?
Like, how does that work?
Necessarily, because it wouldhave to work with a mixer, right
?
Speaker 1 (20:48):
What you're saying is
true.
We've done a lot of weddingswhere the main dance setup
lights and all that stuff was ina tent, let's call it, and then
the introductions, toast dinner, music were in another.
I probably, unless there werethree or 400 people, I'd
probably put the E-verse, that'swhat I would do.
And, yeah, you technically couldBluetooth as long as you're
standing by the main one.
Right, right, you could fireoff the songs off your iPad and
(21:11):
then I would either have a wiredor wireless into the back of
the e-verse, chain them twotogether and then, because you
don't need this banging system, right, I'm playing dance music.
You're trying to get peopleexcited now again through 400
people.
You're gonna need a lot, oryou're gonna need evolve 50s or
evolve 30s or something likethat.
I'm comfortable with using anipad bluetooth mode.
(21:31):
We do a ceremony every singleweekend, okay, but the ipad is
literally on the stand rightunderneath the e-verse 8 for the
ceremony, yeah, so it'sbasically damn near touching the
speaker I mean.
Speaker 2 (21:42):
The other thought I
had is that grand entrances it
depends on what songs too, because I don't know how I mean
if it's something like heavy edmall of a sudden, you might need
150 in there, right?
I don't know yeah, so an e-versemay not be as probable.
But the other thing about thattoo is I also like to do my
dinner music in there separately, yeah and same, with, like
wireless toasts and all that.
I don't be coming from my, mymain rig, so I would hook it up
to that speaker that's indoors, yeah, and do it that way.
Speaker 1 (22:04):
I guess, at the end
of the day, you know two things
that I always seem to get, andagain, most of the shows that I
personally do have aprofessional wedding planner
right, somebody's aunt right, and it is.
I got a layout and you know, onthat list of kind of final
questions, how many you know, how many rsvps did you get?
(22:24):
130, 150 is probably ourstandard down here in raleigh,
to be honest with you, maybetwice a year, maybe we'll see
300 people and if it's close andit's in your area, I say go do
a site inspection.
Speaker 2 (22:36):
You've never been
there for damn sure you know, I
always like to know, like justlittle things.
Speaker 1 (22:40):
What am I walking
into?
Yes, as much as possible, now,if you're traveling and you
can't always do that, but that'salso the beauty of having 25
DJs, because if I'm goingsomewhere especially if it
anybody been to the barn of blahblah blah Talk to me about the
load in the setup, whatever.
Speaker 2 (23:01):
And somebody has been
normally Randy and he'll be
like yeah, man, it's groundlevel, it's super easy.
Speaker 1 (23:06):
Lady there sucks or
lady there's great.
Speaker 2 (23:08):
So we do two things
with that.
We have an end of event formthat all of our DJs have to fill
out and one of the questions isis there anything about the
venue that we need to be awareof?
Outlets not working, havingextra cables?
Then I'm going to plug DJ EventPlanner again.
We actually put that into thenotes of the venue in Event
Planner and some of them havebeen like.
If you look down on some of thevenues we've been there for 10,
(23:30):
15 years you can see theprogression of how they upgraded
the venue.
But it has not only issues, also wi-fi codes.
Yeah, so no one has to go.
Hey, what's the wi-fi?
here in case you need it, sousing event planner because you
can just search by the venue andthen all of the stuff's in
there and that's how we utilize.
Speaker 1 (23:44):
We need to start
doing that.
All right, good episode.
Man love that man anything else, I can't think of anything.
Let's put a bow on this one.
Wrap it up.
