I'm Allison and it's now time for Rainbow Crimes and
hopefully some Unicorn justice.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
Hello and welcome the Rainbow Currings Flight twenty seven fifty
one to the Netherlands. I'm your flight attendant, Fabulosa. Please
put your seats in an upright position. Make sure the
tray in front of you is locked in. Fasten your seatbelts.
After we get settled in the air, a snap and
drink cart will make its way around to you as always.

(01:44):
Thank you for flying rainbow crimes. Hey everyone, I hope
you're well, both mentally and physically. In February, I started
to Germany veggian fruit seeds and little pasta baggies with
seeds and cotton balls in my window. And when they
started to root, I replanted them into peat pots and

(02:05):
I put the seedlings into our huge greenhouse. The other day,
some of my seedlings have gotten so big.

Speaker 4 (02:12):
My daughter and I repotted the seedlings into gallon pots.
They look amazing. The greenhouse has such a neat invention,
and it's so warm inside. When we get a sunny day,
it's fully unclosed, so even on a really windy day,
it makes the plants very happy. My daughter boyfriend rigged
up a drip system and it's working wonderfully. I'll be

(02:36):
so excited to let you know when the plants begin
to bear fruit and veggies for us. And that's really
all I've had going on here for me lately, except
for this cat Jade that we inherited when my neighbor
passed away. This cat never ceases to amaze me with
her personality. I believe she thinks she's a dog. She

(02:57):
plays with the dogs and the other she had Jack
and a headlock when he kept pestering her. Then that
same morning, I fed her some wet food and I
went to check on her. She turned around and she
stuck her tongue out at me. It wasn't like a
quick second either. Her tongue was fully out when she
looked at me for like thirty seconds. She just makes

(03:20):
me laugh. She'spent a nice addition to my family. I
have a very odd missing person's case for you, and
it happened back in nineteen eighty seven. I'm hoping I
can gather enough information about it to make it our
main case, but if not, I might have to cover
two true crime cookies. In this episode, Pete Bench's younger sister, Tooths,

(03:43):
has been searching for her brother all these years that
absolutely no answer as to where this whereabouts might be,
and then not knowing what happened to him has been
absolutely devastating for her inner mom. He was born in
nineteen fifty nine in the Netherlands. His sister, Toose was

(04:04):
born five years later. For the most part, Pete had
a normal, happy childhood, although there were a couple of
things that happened to him in his teen years that
would change his life forever. One of those things was
his father took his own life, and then the other
thing was realizing he was gay. Pete was very close

(04:27):
with his mother and sister, although as a teen he
was expected to babysit his sister an awful lot, and
he finally told his parents he was not a nanny. Nevertheless,
Pete loved his sister very much, and even though they
had their share of sibling rivalry, they also had a
lot of fun together and they enjoyed each other's company.

(04:49):
Pete was a very athletic kid, in his swimming being
his favorite sport. He was a little effeminine, and he
definitely was aware of keeping as a parent by dressing
nicely and he kept very clean. Other kids never bullied
Pete even after his teenage or free teen realization of

(05:10):
a sexual identity. He was said to keep to himself,
and he was also somewhat naughty on occasion, and that's
because Pete has ADHD, making him a bit impulsive. He
also had a tough time staying still, which made him
very energetic. He never seemed to have angry words with

(05:31):
anyone either. I think it's safe to say that Pete
was pretty low key and he was an easy going
viy except for the ADHD. When Pete's dad was still alive,
he was not happy about Pete's grooming of himself and
his feminine qualities. Toose believes their father was somewhat afraid

(05:52):
of his son, So while Toos was a daddy's girl,
Pete was pretty much a mama's boy. It was during
puberty when Pete realized he was more attracted the boys
and girls really did nothing for him, but he didn't
come out until his dad had passed away. He knew
his dad would be mortified and not accepting of his fruit.

(06:16):
When Pete told his mom he was gay, she cried
and she said that she would rather him tell her
that he had gotten a girl pregnant. Yet immediately she
regretted those words, and while her words stung Pete to
the core, he forgave her and the two continued having
a close relationship. Pete would move out of the house

(06:39):
he was sharing with his mom and sister after he
turned eighteen. He then discovered the gay community in Amsterdam.
As Amsterdam is considered the gay capital of the world.
Woo another city and country to put on a bucket list.
They have gay cafes and the night life there is
said to be beyond compare. Even living on his own,

(07:01):
Pete would still call his mother every day for a chat.
At the age of twenty four, Pete was flourishing. He
developed friendships and he even got himself into a relationship.
This was with a young man named Hans. Pete and
Hans were together for four years ever since Pete was
twenty years old, I guess, but in nineteen eighty seven

(07:25):
they had a really bad breakup. At this same time
in early nineteen eighty seven, Pete was also going through
some turmoil at his work. Nobody's exactly sure what Pete's
mindset was when he decided on April twenty seventh of
nineteen eighty seven, he was going to take a boat
ride to the island of Texall. Texel's the largest of

(07:48):
five Dutch islands in the Wadden Sea. It's about an
hour and a half from amsfordam Pete always loved the outdoors,
with the dunes in beach being his very favorite place
to enjoy peace, solitude, and tranquility. Me too. Feet now
here's where the story gets really odd, Warriors, I mean

(08:10):
really odd. Once on the island, Pete enters a home
where there's nobody there at the moment. It helps himself
to a robe. He puts his clothing that he was
wearing in the homeowner's watching machine. He finds a tan
of rice and he fries it up with a couple
of eggs. He's enjoying his meal when the two residents

(08:33):
come home. The residents are two gay gentlemen, and they
discover Pete munching away on his food, which technically was
their food, and they see that Pete is wearing a
robe that belongs to one of them. Have to tell you,
Goldilocks and the Free Bears comes to mind for me
in this scenario, someone is eating our food, someone's wearing

(08:56):
my robe, and he's still here. We just have a
hard time wrapping my head around someone walking in from
my home and doing something like this that The men
did not call the police. Instead, they allowed Pete to
finish his meal and they gave him some clothing. It
was a purple track suit, I think, And that's because

(09:18):
Pete's foes were still wetting in the wash. Pete then
gave the men his mailing address so they can mail
his clothing back to him. After Pete amicably left the
home that he invaded, it's presumed he headed towards the beach.
That nobody knows for sure, and that's because Pete was

(09:38):
never seen again. On May fourth, Pete was reported missing
by his mom in twos because he had not made
the daily calls to his mom since April twenty seventh,
and she was unable to contact him. The police shep
reported to didn't do much. They believe Pete was an adult.

(10:00):
He didn't want to call his mom. That was his choice. Then,
when law enforcement realized it was more than just a
grown man not giving his mom a call, they decided
Pete had taken his own life somehow. Then they figured
that his body would wash up on short soon. My
problem with their theory is this, if Pete was intending

(10:21):
on ending his life, why would he even care to
give the man his address to mail his clothing bag
kind of makes no sense to me. Of course, the
statement that Pete gave the two men about his address,
we can't be sure it was verified by the Lackaday's
the old police work that was being done. But after

(10:42):
the gay couple learned Pete was missing, they reported him
breaking into their home for the police, and that's how
the police knew of Pete's last whereabouts. Interestingly enough, a
body did wash ashore that same day, or perhaps it
was a day or two after Pete disappeared. The body

(11:03):
was found by a beachcomber who earned his living finding
treasures on the beach. If each comber was always afraid
he would someday find human remains on his treasure hunts,
and that day if he did. The beachcomber was pretty
sure the body he found was that of a refugee
trying to swim the channel to get to freedom, and

(11:23):
sure enough, it was determined that the body was not Pete's.
The two gay men whose home Pete had made himself
comfortable in they were excused from being suspects and his disappearance.
Both men continued to insist they didn't know Pete. I'm
not really sure why they were dismissed, except that the

(11:45):
police were so adamant no foul play was surrounding Pete's case,
and that's pretty much all the information were left with
in Pete's disappearance. It's been thirty eight years now since
he vanished into the proverbial open air. It also seems
that the police on the mainland, where Pete's mom first
recorded a missing and the police on the island, he

(12:08):
never communicated about the case with one another, and the
detective in charge on the mainland he never once stepped
foot on the island of Texel to investigate Pete's case.
Back in the eighties, there couldn't have been more than
ten thousand people living on Texel, and apparently not many
of the people were gay or gay couples living there.

(12:32):
Pete's family believes Pete did know the two gay men
who held me was in and to be honest, I
kind of believe that too. Possibly the men met Pete
at a gay club in Amsterdam and they told him
to look them up if he ever came to Texel.
This is just my theory though, in Pete, going through
this breakup and having it rough at work, thought he'd

(12:55):
pay a visit to Texel to see the couple and
maybe to have some peace at the beach that he
so loved. Pete stands five nine and he was of
slender build. When he went missing, He's described as having
blonde hair, but to be truthful, his photos show him
having more brown hair. His is a gray He'd be

(13:17):
sixty six years old if he were found alive today. JeOS,
his sister is still searching for Pete after all these years.
I hope you'll be found someday soon, Pete, and be
able to uncover the mysteries surrounding your disappearance. Well, it
looks like I do have to do a couple of

(13:38):
true crime cookies for you this episode. The first one
comes to us from the state of Indiana just last month,
in April of twenty twenty five, and while no murder
was committed in this case, Felinie law in fractions were
a lesbian classroom teacher of what I assumed to be

(13:58):
elementary aged children. She was teaching her kids about designing cledgs.
The assignment was for them to design their own flag.
As an example, the teacher whose name has been redacted
to protect her identity, she showed the class a rainbow flag,
and in the middle of the rainbow flag were the
words be kind. On April ninth, forty eight year old

(14:23):
Carrie Rivers, a mom with a daughter and the teacher's flatroom.
She became unhinged over her daughter being shown this pride
flag with the be kind sentiment. Carrie went to the
school concealing a loaded handgun under her sweater. She angrily
stormed into the administration office and demanded to withdraw her

(14:44):
children from the school because of what this lesbian teacher
was apparently teaching her child. But because Harry's demeanor was
so unlulyan hostile, the police were called. A kind of
get the feeling that the school has called the police
on Carrie before. Carrie was detained by the police. While

(15:08):
frisking her, the police found the gun and they disarmed her.
Carrie told them, oh, I completely forgot I had it
since I carried it everywhere with me. The affidavit did
say that Carrie had brought her gun on school campus before,
which is probably why the administration felt this could turn
into a situation that they didn't want to seek go

(15:29):
any further, and that's why they called the police, and
also the reason I think they might have called the
police owner before. But what I really want to know
is why does this bitch Harrie can still have done
with her on a school campus, that she's not planning
on using it. One of her arresting officer that's female,

(15:50):
Officer an a Maker. Carrie told Officer an a Maker
that she is offended by same sex relationships. No really,
carry we didn't get that. She continued on that the
dyke bitch teacher has a cop girlfriend who once came
into the classroom and kissed the teacher. Then suddenly Carrie
became all enraged all over again, and she accused Officer

(16:15):
an a Maker of being the teacher's girlfriend. Nimaker's police
partner assured Carrie Animaker had no ties to the teacher,
although they let Carrie leave with her gun no less
About a half an hour later, Carrie got on social
media and she started more shit. She sent multiple messages

(16:37):
on different social platforms threatening her daughter's now former teacher.
One of the messages read, you're a child creditor and
your only hope is your bitch ass wife that's a cop.
Otherwise someone else would have already dealt with you for
your wrongs. Say your prayers and kiss your kids goodbye
and good night. You never know when God's says it's

(17:00):
our time, so always be prepared that sounds pretty death
frettish to me. And once the account with that threat
is frozen, Carrie went on Facebook. She made a bogus
account using her maiden name of Carrie Moony. With this account,
she continued to make more death threats to the teacher.

(17:21):
That following day, April tenth, the lesbian teacher didn't go
to work for fear of her safety. You can't blame her.
On April eleventh, Perry was arrested. She was charged with
possession of a firearm on his full property, which is
a Level six felony in Indiana, with a maximum sentence

(17:41):
of two and a half years in prison and up
to a ten thousand dollars fine. Carry was also charged
with harassment via written communication, which is a Class B
misdemeanor with a maximum sentence of one hundred and eighty
days in prison in a fine of about one thousand dollars,
but Carrie was able to post a five hundred dollars

(18:03):
bond on April twelfth. An initial hearing in the case
was scheduled for April twenty third, and Marion County Superior
Fort Harry is no longer allowed on any Decatur school property.
See the ongoing hate the current administration is delving out
to the lgbt FO community. It's been absorbed into the

(18:24):
minds of so many conservatives. Why is it bad to
teach our children about the acceptance of all of us?
Doesn't mean these children will be gay, That's just not
how gay works. But so many uneducated people on the
topic believe that they believe that the child's exposed to
any education about the LGBTQ, that child will be gay.

(18:49):
I mean, yes, we're fabulous, but hello, wake the fuck up.
My daughter was raised until the age of eleven by
two lesbian parents. In the rest of her years she
was raised by one me. Is she gay? No, that
she's accepting in an ally for sure. In Russia they

(19:11):
condemned what they called jay propaganda. They don't want their
children exposed to anyone or anything LGBTQ, and that's for
fear it will turn their children gay. This is such
ignorance to me. For Fox's sake, learn my people r
LGBTQ and go from there. You'll see we're all very

(19:33):
similar to everyone else. It's almost like when people thought
you can contract aids from a public restroom, toilet seat
or guys shaking hands with someone infected. That's just not
how the disease is spread. People, Am I right? Our
next true crime quickies from the Philippines. In twenty twenty one,

(19:56):
Ebing Mayer was a twenty one year old trans man
in case On City, what's about a half an hour
drive north from Manila. Ebing went missing for three days
after going out on a drinking bidge with his friends.
This was on May twenty one. It was the same
week as International Day against Homophobia. Three days after Ebing

(20:19):
went missing. His body bloody, bruised, and with a stick
protruding from his genitals, it was found near where he
went missing from. Ebing had been gang raped and beaten
about his head with a large rock. Three men were
arrested for Ebans rape and murder. One of them, Xander

(20:40):
Dela Cruz, was a childhood friend of Evans. The other
two men, Joel Loyola and Richard Eraza, They were also
arrested for the insidious crimes. Xander was picked up by
police first, and then he dimed out his buddies super quick,
admitting that they all took turns ra ebbing and then

(21:01):
they killed them. The three men then took Ebbing's cell phone, watch,
and gold necklace before jumping his body, where it wasn't
found until days later. While this crime has been considered
a hate crime, the case claims it is still even
after nearly four years ongoing, no resolution has been noted.

(21:23):
The only real positives to come from this case come
in the form of legislation being pushed. The legislation is
to up the protection of LGBTQ people in the Philippines,
but we know these laws take a while to enact.
I've heard that the Philippines is not an LGBTQ friendly place.

(21:44):
Rest and power ebving what it's time for some sunshine, Okay,
So when I found for this episode, it's actually just
a couple of pute little stories, not necessarily a good
news story, but they were fun and they kind of
just prove how ignorant people can be. At a coffee shop,

(22:04):
a worker explained an incident that had happened one day
to him and his manager. The shop's cake selection included
a rainbow cake that had seven different colored layers of
cake representing the rainbow. A customer came in and said,
I want a coffee and keep that woke cake away
from it. The employee said, our coffee isn't prepared in

(22:28):
the same place as our bake goods, so if you're allergic,
you don't have to worry about. The customer cut them
off and said, fuck allergies. I don't want to catch
any of your gay shit. The worker said, I'm sorry, sir,
we don't serve gay shit. That would be a health
code violation, and the calmer that The employee remained. The

(22:49):
customer not even angrier. Why are you going to make
one of those faggot cakes. You're trying to make all
the kids gay. The employees said, cakes can't make you gayzer,
and the customer started to shout yeah, but you're making
it normal when kids see that, they turned gay. It's
a customer which raising his voice. The employees manager stepped in, sir,

(23:14):
please just take your coffee and leave, and the customer replied,
see you want me to leave because I'm exposing you.
Fox News said this was happening all over the country
and I'm sick of it. Ninety five percent of kids
are gay now because of shit like this. The manager
responded with, ninety five percent of children are not gay, sir,

(23:37):
and even if they were, it wouldn't be because we
serve colorful cake. Customer said it, took back, and the
manager answered back, the fact is that we wanted to
serve a colorful cake because it was fun. Our cake
has seven colors. If we wanted to copy the pipe plague,
we would have gone this six. F Your facts are wrong.

(23:58):
The customer got louder than ever. Now, well, you have
your facts and I have my facts. The manager said,
your opinions don't become fats just because you shout on
them louder, Please flee. The customer finally left, no longer shouting,
but definitely muttering. Oddly enough, the customer came back several

(24:21):
days later and said something along the lines of I
looked it up. Your cake is like the rainbow from
the Bible and not the one that the FEGs you,
so that's okay. The manager's response was to eliminate one
of the colors from the cake, and they started to
label it as pride cake just to get rid of

(24:42):
bigoted assholes. It's cake, Oh my god. The next story
is about a waitress in a small southern town who
tells of her sister just coming out. The waitress wanted
to support her sister, since she wears a small Pride
flag on her work uniform, which she got a okay
by her boss. One Sunday afternoon after church, I guess,

(25:05):
a customer and her kids sit at the table in
the restaurant that the waitress works at. The customer says
to the waitress, upon eyebowing the Pride fin oh, dear,
such a shame. I thought you were a nice, god
fearing person. The waitress says, I'm here serving you every
Sunday after church, though obviously I'm not in church. I

(25:26):
don't know what I did to make you think I
was religious. Then the customer says, I mean, you've always
been so respectful. The waitress replies, how have I been disrespectful?
Of course, the waitress knows what the woman is referring to,
but she's gonna make the woman say it. The customer replies,
relating that woke agenda gay stuff around. We don't want

(25:50):
to see it. The waitress returned with, I'm wearing a pin,
you're wearing a cross. We both wear things that represent
what we support. Because cstomer answers back, do not compare
gay stuff with the Lord Jesus, waitress has finally had
it with this woman. Would you like to order or
would you prefer to leave? The customer says back, that's

(26:13):
what I would prefer is for you not to wear
that thing in front of my children. I don't need
you grooming them when we just want a nice meal. Thankfully,
before the waitress said anything that could get her in
trouble at her work, another customer and the next booth
over speaks up and he says, oh, sure, you raise

(26:34):
your kids and your religion from birth, and you tell
them if they ever think of even leaving the church,
they'll burn forever and fire. But because your waitress is
wearing a rainbow pin, she's a groomer. The bitchy lady
customer said, it says, none of your business. The man says,
I'm paying to sit here and not listen to your

(26:54):
bigoted ass, so it is my business. Shut up and
keep your homophobia yourself. We're fuck off. As the bitchy
customer stands up and leaves, she says, I won't sit
here to be surrounded by such offensive people. She walks away,
but then she thinks of something and she turns back
to the waitress and the male customer for one final

(27:17):
word for rumors, then her and her kids leave. The
other customer and the waitress share a loof The male
customer says, I'll have the groomers Special please. The waitress
isn't quite sure what that is, but she brings the
guy a free cookie. I found these stories on a
forum kind of like a nice reddit, where people aren't

(27:40):
at each other's throats with mean foments. I think that's
it for this episode, though, guys. I love you warriors,
you matter. You remember it's not a crime to be
gay or to live your fucking truth. I'm not sure
a murderer
