Dontae Hodge (00:00):
Sound is probably the most important part of any
type of media.
We know that we can listen tosomething without a visual, but
we can't watch something withoutaudio.

Sidney Evans (00:11):
And while audio has a major impact on our
day-to-day experiences, themedium, as well as those who
help produce it, areconsistently overlooked.
And that's why I'm presentingto you my new show Beyond the
Threshold.

In this first season, my guestsshare best practices on what
has allowed them to craft theircareers.

up schools and asked if I couldwork on their student films and
they're like we don't really getpeople asking that, but sure.

Sidney Evans (00:53):
The power of building and nurturing
relationships.

Ashley Hobbs (00:56):

natural curiosity about otherpeople.
I'm genuinely interested in youas a person.

Sidney Evans (01:09):
Developing multiple skill sets to increase
your demand.

Jahi Whitehead (01:12):
If you can only do one thing, you're not that
useful.
You have to be able to domultiple things to be useful,
because I can find someone to doone thing and I don't have to
pay them that much.

Sidney Evans (01:23):
And how you stand out from the crowd, where you
discover your unique perspective.

Kacie Luaders (01:27):
I believe that everyone's individual
perspective is so important.
If you find a subject or atopic that, like everybody's
already talking about, you justhave to kind of like carve that
space for yourself within agiven topic or genre.
