Joseph struggled with depression and identity crisis at 15, which led him to attempt suicide. After a soul-searching trip to Nepal, he developed a new perspective on life and started his first e-commerce business in 2016.


Joseph learned about dropshipping and found success selling Fidget Spinners by targeting parents in online forums. He made $60,000 in a month but lost out on some of the profits due to PayPal policies.


Joseph talked about the importance of being able to describe, predict, and prescribe in order to develop AI. He also shared his personal journey of starting multiple businesses, failing, and eventually finding success through hard work and learning from small improvements.


Joseph discussed his journey of building and selling e-commerce businesses, working at Intel, and the importance of simulating before implementing to reduce waste. Ben acknowledged Joseph's hard work and they planned to continue the conversation in a future episode.


Joseph and Ben discussed the power of ideas and how they can be contagious. Joseph provided a homework assignment to simulate success and reflect on it, ultimately taking control of who you are becoming.
