When Yahweh handed David victory over Goliath, we learn that God's servant volunteers, prepares, speaks, prevails, and inspires.

One of the most precious truths about God is His providence. In 1 Samuel 16, we see how God's providence can instill fear, comfort, and courage.

Israel forsakes God and demands an earthly king to replace Yahweh's theocratic monarchy. Israel rejects Samuel's stern warning, and God relents.
