(00:44):
Hey everybody. This week Chris and Nick
celebrate 200 episodes with Godzilla king of the monsters
and are joined by Alex and Thor known.
Mead in bulshit Peddlers, sit back crack, open.
A can of whatever and enjoy the show.

(01:38):
Here. Oh, Lord, good.
Lord. There we go.
Sorry. That's the real show folks.
Sorry. Yeah, we'll get on with the with
the actual show now. What's up everybody?
What's going on? Welcome to big dumb monsters.
Two hundo, 200. Yeah, guys.
And 200 episodes. Thank you.

(01:59):
We dropped a big double Deuce. Yeah.
Long. I've been growing.
The beard. Not a, not a missed week in the
lot that is the most impressive part of the whole street.
Do you know how hard it then subscribers?
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, like, I mean like, you
know, it's the same situation aslike D&D.
Yes. Yeah, Whoever has a D&D meat

(02:21):
that goes for four years and notfour years straight yet, but 200
wins here. Yeah, it'll be four years in
July. But yeah, what's going on?
We have special guests, joining us.
Our most frequent guests, of course, our here to celebrate.
Yep. We have Alex and Thor back
again. This is like time, six, seven

(02:41):
Summers got cheers, guys. Yeah, I got one up.
So I think I'm the most. Yeah.
Cheers. Sure.
Or is? Unfortunately, our most frequent
guess you guys here for 152. I think maybe.
Yeah, yeah, I thought so. I was thinking about that today.
I think that's just the way it is now.
Yeah, they're here for Milestone.
At you. We accidentally invited like two

(03:02):
vampires in. But yeah, no.
We we saved a bang, her for episode 200.
We started the show with, of course, the 1954 Godzilla movie.
That is, that is how we started it.
Yeah. Like that was the, like, the
spirit behind the whole thing was like, hey, why don't we just

(03:23):
like Watch all these Kaiju movies or whatever and then
we'll just talk about them like because because I love them but
wasn't yes. Super well versed and I know you
were like, oh, maybe it'll be like, Chris teaching me the ways
of the Kaiju. Like, why don't we do other
shit, too? That's fun because you're
running out of Kaiju movies realquick.
I don't, I don't know that we could because there's a fucking

(03:46):
hundreds of them. That's true.
If we did expand, like, you know, Godzilla and like
Ultraman. And you get into the Ultraman.
Yeah. I don't know that I would want
to do 200 episodes of that. Yeah, no, we made the right
choice. Yeah.
Um, we've stuck to mostly monsters too.
We've only had a couple. We've only had like one or two
slashers, I think. Like we've got a couple like
comedies and like fantasy moviesthat all had monsters in it.

(04:08):
Yeah but really only like we've been bent the rules.
But yeah it's our show and who cares?
Yeah, there's one thing we knownfor its bending the rules.
Anyway, no tonight. We are talking about 2019
Godzilla king of the monsters. Which is I like I think the

(04:30):
height so far of the, the legendary monster verse 100%.
Yeah. But also, one of my favorite
Godzilla movies. It's oh, yeah, it's great.
It's almost perfect. Yeah.
Yeah, the 4K version is even better, like my one complaint
was the CG couldn't see too muchof an original cup.
I don't know if you guys seen a newer 4K one where they cleaned
it up. No, the CG is not Amazing.

(04:54):
Yeah. Like everything looks really
good. Everything's designed really
well. But you just like, oh, that's
definitely CGI there was there was one like picture.
It was supposed to be like a, you know, a file picture from
like, a monarch file. And it was like guitar and
Rodin, like sitting on a mountain and it's like, you can
clearly tell somebody just like, added Brody and clipart?

(05:16):
Yeah. It's like yeah to the bottom
part of the mountain. Yep. but I mean, overall though,
I mean, this is such an awesome movie and like, watching it even
watching it critically today like, I'm still like this is
awesome. I I just I love this movie.
There's so much there's awesome.Like, you know, iconic scenes,

(05:38):
the monster battles are awesome. You know, the human race.
Arguably Godzilla's biggest rival.
Yeah, yeah. um, So yeah, where we saved a banger for number two
hundred. Yeah.
For real, And this is one of those rare instances where like
they get the mix right of the human drama.

(05:59):
And the monster stuff. Yeah.
It's normally it's like really heavy one way or the other.
This is perfect balance because like they made me care about
these characters, which is a great start.
Yeah, they kept the story reallyserious.
Also great, like I don't need Like like there's enough like
fantasy element with the monsters.
I don't need that much comedy inthere, right?

(06:21):
Yeah. Like keep it real and it's dark.
It's a super dark story. It's really it's about people
like or a family coping with theloss of their youngest son.
Like, yeah, well it's it's funnythat, you know, we're talking
about how it's such a nice balance and the movie got so
much shit because everyone felt that there was too much human
interaction and involvement and it's like, well I I like the

(06:45):
balance. Yeah it's just a little bit of
this, a little bit of that. You get awesome fight scenes and
I mean if you if you go back andyou watch a lot of the older
Godzilla movies, just barely gottill they gave it, Jaws
treatment. Yeah, and sparingly and there
was a lot in here. My main critique of the, the one
that follows this is there's waytoo much, human shit that I

(07:06):
don't care about like way too much.
But this is perfect. This is a goddamn Perfect movie.
This is yeah definitely I would say probably the best of the
legendary though. I thought that's a little versus
Congress. Pretty good too.
I like I got socks Kong. I think second out of all.
Yeah yeah that one is Monster WrestleMania and it's it's

(07:27):
great. Yeah.
It's what you wanted? Yeah. 100%.
Um, King Kong like ripping opening like a monster and
drinking its green guts within the first like 30 seconds of
them. Yeah, yeah.
I mean I'm in but that's but that's the thing is like when I
want that, okay? Then I have that movie and then
there are other ones in the series that were like, it's all

(07:49):
monsters and all fighting or whatever.
But then there's this one which gets that balance, right?
Where it's a. It's just a good movie.
And that's way more rare. Yeah, like You know Godzilla
minus one is like a perfect example of like a completely
different style. I've got Zillow movie which is a

(08:10):
masterpiece and its own, right? But when you want just like the
monster's are fighting. And here's why they're fighting
this one Nails. It.
Yeah. Yeah, it's I mean it's in the
title, king of the monsters. One of them is going to be king
of the monsters like yeah. Like Kelly brought in like some
of the lore that, you know, Peter was from outer space.

(08:30):
Like the monsters Zero from backfrom, you know.
Yeah. Yeah.
This area. Yeah.
There are a ton of little like knots to Toho things in this.
Oh yeah. Like you have the the doctors
who are like He don't explain itvery well because in like one
scene it looks like that one like Asian lady doctors and two

(08:52):
different parts of the world at one time.
Yeah but they're actually twins. It's supposed to be like a
reference to the Mothra twins. Yeah.
Yeah. You see like a picture on a desk
in a background of the two of them for like a second.
Yeah. And then you're supposed to put
that together. But then, like when they're
fighting in the scene and Antarctica, when like, when Gita
refers comes up out of the ice and like Godzilla starts

(09:12):
fighting, they first start fighting, like he knocks
Godzilla like, into this, like volcano thing.
Yeah. Which is like, straight out of
Godzilla like 84. I think?
Yeah. And probably a couple of the
older movies too. Yep.
Another thing is, um, All of theall the Monarch bases, the where
they're like finding all these different Titans are numbered

(09:32):
after like whatever year they debuted.
Huh. Yeah.
And there was one thing he did. If you notice in the layer,
under and underwater. Yeah, there is what's his face
and we're curious. Yeah.
Oh, I missed. That means, yeah.
Yeah. So fucking weirdest.
Clearly, dude, in a suit on. The lamest we should have did

(10:01):
rates again for the 200th, episode of kidding.
Yeah, that's the first one he's in, I think, right?
Yeah, yep. Yeah.
Yeah. That's the second movie.
So yeah, second Godzilla movie, I didn't, when I was a kid, I
didn't watch that one that much.Wasn't one of my favorites.
That's yeah. Which one is not that great

(10:21):
raids again. Oh yeah.
Everybody's at least favorite? Yeah.
Yeah, I could go for a little more Rodan in this movie,
although Rod, Dan gets totally like punked out at the end of
the movie. Yeah.
Bow bitch. Okay sorry so sorry about all

(10:44):
that. Sorry.
Sorry for your girlfriend. Was that wrong?
Let's see. What is there to say else about
this? Um, I mean things to critique
like, I don't mean the human story is a little like, I guess

(11:05):
you could say overly complicated, like, is she, or is
she working for this terrorist and You know, I don't know,
maybe I'm just being too critical.
I'm trying to think of somethingbad to say, I don't know.
Like I like I like the cast. Like, I like the cast a lot.
Yeah. Everybody's super good podcast,
guys. A lot of fun.
Yeah. Yeah.
That's you know that's enough. That's a second one.

(11:26):
Yeah. The third one.
No. Yeah.
Is it? He's not exactly what's his
name, Brian? Tyree Henry.
Yeah. Who's the guy they?
Recruit though to help him, he works for.
Sorry, the guy they recruit to help them the Right, because we

(11:52):
all thank you. Thanks for doing your research.
Yes. We're coming on the show know.
I just watched like all all fourof her back to back like today.
No, like, before the weekend. Oh, you know, he should have
done rewatched this movie because I have them all but

(12:15):
yeah, nugget That's the end of this.
We all like, did he freeze? I could just broke him.
Yes, no, no good. Yeah, but I think the introduced
can get here. Pretty well in this movie and I

(12:37):
think he's intimidating. But then Godzilla gets them
underwater, which is an interesting part, because, you
know, they even say God's looking totally kill him.
Then they drop the oxygen Destroyer.
Yeah, there's another shout out.Yeah the ox yeah.
Sarah. And they point out that, you
know, it doesn't affect her because he was from space is an

(13:00):
idock in. But it almost kills Godzilla, so
that was really. Yeah, and then they nuke him
back to life. The most metal thing I've ever
heard. I mean, it works a guy another

(13:21):
reference to the burning Godzilla, which is kind of cool.
Yes. Yeah.
From like the the later 80s right now.
It was like the 90s tell you. Yeah.
That was yeah, that was buildingaround.
Yes. Oh yeah.
Yeah, I love that scene. Where like yeah, like you said
the buildings are just melting as he's walking up.
Gear is just shooting. I mean it's just brushing it

(13:41):
off. Yeah, I gotta say like no this
is it. The the like the sickest part of
this movie. Is anytime that?
Ghidorah strikes, a pose, and you see the silhouette like in
the storm like, yeah, actually, in front of that cross in front
of Brazil. Yeah, yeah.
Oh my god. Oh, we just, it's so fucking

(14:02):
metal when he first comes out ofthe ice and like they make him
look more. Like the hydro, like the five
heads. Like the two tails are sticking
up. Yeah, three heads like, yeah, I
love that too. They, they really did him
Justice in this movie. Yeah.
Yeah, he's great and intimidating, you know, it's not
like Was it for real monsters, right?
Just got curb. Stop.
Yeah, yeah, just where they justspend the whole movie, pumping,

(14:28):
him up, to be great. They're like running him down a
bar right on the budget, I think.
Yeah, half of that movie is juststock stock video of like, all
these like Kaiju from Touhou. Yeah.
Why wasn't he octopus Monsters? The amoeba or whatever?

(14:52):
Yeah, he's like never, he's never there with them but they
throw him in there. That was the octopus monster
from. A piece of the war of the kite
war that were the Kaiju. Oh, we're looking at where the
gargantuas? Yeah, movie.
Yeah. Hydrate.
Thank you, TJ. Oh, I'm out of, I'm out of

(15:15):
hydrating things. Oh, I will have this delicious,
Mead deliciousness. Yeah, available from from the
bull and B. Oh actually, we have that thing.
Don't we have it on our normal one?
But I have it on this too. Yeah, somebody, somebody doesn't
like to turn it on until the endof the show because it's just
distracting. Its kind of the fucking point

(15:37):
gets people's attention. um, Another like, one of the sea
like I said before, there are a lot of, like, cool just scenes
where they really like pump up the monsters.
And one of the ones I really loved is when they're like the
underwater base and Godzilla's just swimming up slowly and like
pulsing at them. Yeah, like I love that scene.

(15:59):
That's so cool. Yeah.
Like them together. I mean this kind of talking
about the end but they take someof the bones from get her out a
Big Mac at Godzilla. That's cool too.
Yeah, yeah I do like that. It's the head that the Flies off
in Mexico. This is the one that they used
to make a Mechagodzilla. okay, because I when I got to the end

(16:22):
of this movie, I was like, wait, they use his skull to make
Mechagodzilla but he just vaporized all three of them.
Yeah. Because I had forgotten that he
ripped one off earlier. Yeah.
All right. That cleared that up.
Yeah. I love how they show the head
regenerating too. It's like this.
Yeah, coupon that like a graboid.
Comes out of almost. Yeah.
And then the center head like pulls the like yeah.

(16:43):
Crap off of it. But yeah, it's like the lower
like mandible thing, like a graboid until it fully forms the
head. Yeah.
Yeah. I mean, like I don't know what
to like, actually critique this movie about.
Yeah, because it's just chock full of stuff that I really
like. Yeah. like, you know, Good

(17:07):
acting. Great monster fights.
Like the fights are good. Yeah, they're choreographed so
well. Um, monster designs.
Like they redesigned a lot of stuff and everything looks good.
They introduced new Titans. I love that.
They just have a bunch of Titans.
There aren't even part of the movie.
They just show up and look cool.Yeah, because they're not like

(17:27):
Heavy Hitters. Yeah.
Just like Sorry, thorough, you're gonna take it easy.
I was gonna say they could use them in other movies.
I'm sure they will at some point.
Yeah, this will keep coming as long as it's making money.
Yeah. And they keep making more money
too. If I'm not like mistaken like as
they go. Yeah, I think they've done the
tongue and Godzilla Crossover atsome really well.

(17:48):
That's one of the things about this movie is this movie.
Fail to reach expectations, I believe, unfortunately really,
yeah. Yeah, that was the biggest
thing. And honestly, it's like mixed
critically. The people that love this movie
or they hate it. Oh, it's hands down the best one
of them. Yeah, I don't get it.

(18:08):
Oh yeah, but we did the segment where we'll go over that.
Oh, all right. Um, so I had something that I
lost it, it's memory. It's weird.
It's like he actively do something to erase it.
Yeah. Wow.
I'm just gonna use a long weekend as the excuse it was a

(18:30):
lot of. Yeah.
Um, monsters. People.
Yeah. There's people.
Yeah. So people being here something.
What Kaiju do? You want to see them?
Bring to the next one. I hear a lot of people were
thinking space Godzilla, but I think the ice guy from the last

(18:50):
one's kind of similar space Godzilla, you know what I mean?
Oh yeah, it does look a little bit.
Like I'm a drop it right now. King Caesar, I would like a king
Caesar. Yeah, that'd be cool.
The easily could have had King Caesar in place of the orangutan
from the last movie. I can't remember his name scar.
Yeah, yeah, bad guy. Bald con.
Yeah. Yeah, I don't know why you

(19:13):
wouldn't have a, you know, it's in the name King.
Caesar like yeah, you know. Yeah.
What would have been sick? Yeah, I am I am a not so much
God. Zooky I want minion.
I want to see minion. I really don't know.
Between them Godzuki is more Dragon looking.
Um, yeah. They're basically the same, the

(19:35):
annoying little version. The scraping of the Godzilla
Biollante know, that's one. I would like to see a rare one.
Like I was sick movie. We do a good one.
That was the last guy Zillow movie, we did.
Right? So yeah, yeah, the movie around,
he's not good. No, but the monster stuff so

(19:57):
good. Yeah, Monster High.
So intense. In that one, it's bringing up.
Yeah. That would be awesome to see.
Yeah, I would like to see a modern version of that.
Like anything from the later, like Touhou are even like
Australia would be awesome because they have the setup for
it because destroya is made because of the, the oxygen

(20:17):
Destroyer. Yeah.
So like they dropped it in the ocean, that's like it's made
from mutated crabs. Like, you got eventually, they
go there but that's probably when they lose the license to
Godzilla, you know what they might do.
Space Godzilla. He said that before.
Yeah, but yeah. We were saying like, that's
close to Shamo, but she was like, very much the same idea.

(20:38):
But, yeah, like crystals on his back.
Yeah. Um, I don't know, what else
would be awesome. Gigan guy again, cool.
I guess yeah. Bus stop space.
Chicken. See I don't I don't know that
they would like in card they botched Mecca Godzilla so bad.
Like I don't I don't know that they would Maybe.

(21:01):
Do you make a Gita? Oh yeah.
He Yeah. Yeah.
I mean you know like that would be kind of recycling the
mechanical storyline because that is technically I guess
Mecha Godzilla a little bit Mmm.I do hope they go back to having
Godzilla and Kong in their own movies for sure.

(21:21):
Yeah, I'm done with the crossover.
Like there was fun. It was fun.
Granted the second one was superawesome but yeah, that's the
first one was but yeah, let's have them go.
Their own separate ways for a little while.
Let's we talked about that up with the, you know, the middle
or whatever it's called the under-earth area.
What they call that in this hollow hollow Earth.

(21:43):
Yeah. Yeah.
Oh, that'd be cool. My money still on Godzilla?
Yeah, it would be its pick him up by the horns.
I really do love the American Godzilla design.

(22:06):
It's looks so cool. Beefy menacing.
Yeah, he looks like a wrestler like, yeah.
What do you think about them? Slowing him down though.
After he got powered up in the new one.
I'm honestly not that big of a fan because it looks weird.
Yeah. Like it kind of reminds me of
the 98 Godzilla. Yeah, I can see that.
Oh well, because it's like more like lizard.
Like, Zilla the college is Zillow.

(22:29):
Yeah, that's it. Kind of reminds me that episode
of The Simpsons where Homer loses a bunch of weight used to
have all the paper clips on his back.
I love Hotel. Just to have him get destroyed
and final wars. Yeah, Yeah, final wars is like
an acid trip of a movie. Yes.

(22:52):
They called The Matrix Godzilla and leashed.
Oh, I really actually want. In a next Godzilla movie.
That's not something I would, you know, they do a good
redesign. I think that's a good way to go.
Yes. Specially.
If they're gonna keep up that Vibe like from the last movie,

(23:13):
where it's like that Saturday morning cartoon Vibe is like,
it's still, you know, a big action gets a little goofy.
Yeah, yeah. So I think Gigan would fit that
like, really well? Yeah, or I mean, they could do
something sick with Hedorah. I just.
Yeah. I was like, who else is missing?
And I just yeah. I mean that's you know.

(23:34):
Pertinent now all the fucking Pollution that's in the ocean
right now. Like and it's a Hot Topic like
you go for it. Just don't make him like a Ooze
creature. Like he's looks.
Yeah, we're like some like acid creature.
I don't know like a slime. Yeah, one megalon.

(23:55):
Yeah. Megalon is one of the Godzilla
versus Megalon is one of the worst guns and that's pretty
bad. That's the one where he talks to
Anguirus, right? Yeah.
Yeah. Buddy.
Where they think the four, what's this one Mana?

(24:19):
I have a mother. It's in the house though.
It looks like a Chinese like four.
It was a weird one but was Mega gears.
Oh really? Yeah, it's even more.
Pretty much. Yeah.
King Caesar. Yeah.
King season just be cool. Yeah, I hate Dora king, Caesar

(24:40):
by Allante. Yeah.
Well what did King Caesar come out?
It was that Mecca Godzilla the return of Mexico versus mega
Godzilla 74. Yeah.
Um, let's see how we oh we've been going on over half an hour.
Who cares? Who gets awesome?
It's awesome. I could talk about Godzilla all

(25:01):
day. I mean seriously.
Yeah like It's kind of like I grew up a huge fan, so yeah.
I got the. Original set right there.
Oh nice. Sweet.
Yeah, I can't wait to hit the well, this is yeah, whatever
it's related. I can't wait to fucking the toe

(25:22):
host or the Godzilla store at Bandai.
That's the one I'm looking for oh, Bandai Store New York Comic
Con this year. Yeah, cuz they have like rare
awesome figures for way cheaper than you can buy them online.
Oh really? Yeah like that.
I have the gold Godzilla back there.
I got that. Got that like 30 bucks that goes
for like 60 bucks online. Oh, really?

(25:43):
Yeah, she's crazy. Yeah.
All right. You ready to throw some ratings
down? Oh, yeah, yeah.
I'm gonna go high on this one for sure.
And I don't think it's a two scale movie?
No, no, no. I'll take us out because this is
this, like I said, it's one of my favorite Godzilla movies.
I'm not gonna give it a perfect score because, you know, we're

(26:03):
trying to avoid that, but I willgive it a nine five because I
fucking love this movie, so much.
Um, you know, again the actors in it are amazing.
The monster design is awesome. The monster fights are really
good. Yeah, this movie Just fires on
all cylinders if you're if you're a fan of, you know, of
Kaiju and stuff like I, this is it for me that I love this

(26:26):
movie. Yeah, I I am also gonna go 95.
Yeah. Like There's no reason not to
for me. It's it's it's a fun popcorn
movie that is all so really good.
Like it's a washable movie to like, you take the monster stuff
out. You still got, you still got
good human drama, right? Oh, it's 100%.
The way I watched the most of the American legendary ones.

(26:49):
Yeah. Yeah, favorite a long time but
minus ones up there too, though.Yeah.
Oh my son. Minus 1 is in close.
Contention for my favorite Godzilla movie.
No minus one. Is it?
It's close to that in the first thing.
The original one but I might just one is probably yeah, it

(27:11):
is. It's a little better.
Yeah. Alex, where you landed on this
one landing on that 9.5 for these?
Yeah, it's just, it's just such a good overall movie.
Like you want to grab popcorn, hang out.
Watch just monsters fight. And even if you're enjoying it
with like kids, you know, you'relike, kids and stuff just like
watching. Like yeah, fight scenes.
And the adults could enjoy the actual backstory.

(27:32):
Yeah, just there's so much goingon it.
It's such a great teacher has a point.
What makes this movie Rock is a New Yorkers watching.
Boston, you're watching Fenway Park, get blown up.
I mean there just watched just to fight scenes.
Yeah, like, just like Fast Forward.
Keep going. Let's go back, let's see that

(27:53):
one. Oh, that was good.
Like yeah, it just great just a monster design.
Its A super cut of this movie where?
It's just Monsters play. Oh, that'd be fun.
Yeah, it's out there somewhere. Yeah.
So Would you go 952? It's one of my favorites.
I mean, I grew up watching Godzilla like I watched all the
horrible ones from when I was a kid and yeah, you know, but this

(28:14):
one it's one of the ones that goback to the most, my daughter
loves it. So I watch it pretty often.
The fights with Gator are great. They hit all the right Notes
too. I like the reference, the
burning Godzilla. Like I said earlier.
Yeah. I also you know like how they
built the lore up how, you know,Mechagodzilla is built from the

(28:35):
skull. I think that's just all really
cool how they connected and do the Monarch and the Monarch show
was pretty good too. Yeah this movie but the show was
pretty solid. Yeah, good extra another place
where they put a shitload of references.
Was the music in this? Yes.
Yes. Don't you hear that a couple
times? Yeah.

(28:56):
All right you guys ready to moveon to trivia?
Yeah, let's do. We don't have the other cue
tonight. I'll just monster fight cut my
introduce you to see back. Okay.

(29:23):
Let's move on to trivia here. One of the Titans Leviathan is
in Loch Ness implying that it's the origin of the Loch.
Ness monster legend Touhou actually nearly made a Kaiju
film. Starring Nessie in 1978 in
co-production with hammer horrorand got far enough into
production for posters to be made what the fuck.

(29:44):
Yeah. Kaiju movie about Loch Ness.
Maybe, you know, the original Godzilla versus Kong was
supposed to be Frankenstein versus Godzilla.
Yeah, that's a con gets powered by lightning in that one.
Yeah. Kong's a gorilla, he electricity

(30:08):
power said, yeah, I'm not. I'm not sure that works.
Yeah. I mean if you want Oh kind of
Loch Ness Monster, Kaiju movie. Watch out from Beyond the fox.
Yes. It's not exactly that but it's

(30:29):
it's that kind of monster. Yeah, it is awesome. dude, it's
it's a Short movie. It's like an hour maybe I think.
So. Yeah.
Um, it's a Kaiju movie. Set in industrial era, Japan.
And it's all puppets. Like like puppetry puppets and

(30:53):
and the monster is a dude in a rubber suit like it's it's so
like artistically beautiful and the story is so good.
Nice. Yeah.
We that was our episode five. I think something like that
going back. Yeah, it's so good.
Yeah, I don't think I've watchedit since then, so I could
definitely use a rewatch. Like it's yeah.

(31:13):
It's like 19 early 1900s or late1800s, Japan.
And yeah, it's all these intricate detail puppets and
it's it's amazing. Yeah, nice, yeah.
Yeah. See, here they have cranial
scans that indicate. Each of the door is heads
because a different levels of cognitive function and possess

(31:35):
independent. Thought.
The middle head is the most intelligent acting as the alpha,
while the left and right heads act, more akin to its lackeys.
See, it's as they mentioned. In the movie molari and curly.
Um, hit that. It's like they have like a

(31:57):
telekinesis connection because Ithink Monarch tried doing that
in God's Elvis Kong. Yeah.
Yeah. That's how they're controlling
the machines. The teleconnect connection
between the skull and the robot.Yeah.
Yeah. that's not really explained, but it's I think it's

(32:18):
like hinted at, or like I don't know that they touch on it in
this movie at all. No, I meant even in the next
movie, I don't, I think we're talking about the next movie
this movie. Okay.
Stay on brand. The school.
Said, important part for you? It'll prepare.

(32:40):
I am perfectly prepared. I prepared my entire life for
this. No Steve Martin not that Steve
Martin is credited as the authorof one of the Articles seen in
the Ed and credits Montage referring to the reporter.
Steve Martin, who was added intothe American version of the

(33:01):
original Godzilla, film Godzillaking of the monsters and later
returned and Godzilla 1985. That was 8580 I said 84 earlier.
Yeah, well, you're wrong. Uh, this marks the first time
that blue oyster, Cults in 1977 single Godzilla is used in a
Godzilla film, all right? During the credits.
Yep, that's true. It's like when they use iron

(33:23):
Iron Man. Yeah, it's kind of on the nose
guys but it's really cool. I do love the end credits.
How you see like the news articles like telling you what's
going on like afterwards? Yeah, and there's like hints to
other shit in those too. Yeah.
It's Easter egg city. This movie is absolutely right
City. Uh when Michael Doherty came on

(33:46):
board to direct legendary already, did the hard work of
securing the rights to Mothra Rodan and King Ghidorah which
they did shortly after the success of the 2014 film.
As they felt they were all they were the quote all stars and
crown jewels of the film and daughter is losing his mind.
He's barking at a woman which iswild.

(34:09):
Yeah, usually parks like that. Ah, dude.
Yeah. Stared at him.
Oh, you scared. He does get scared.
It's kind of funny. Yeah, he's a coward.
Yeah. Here, the film reveals ancient.
That ancient humans built a large Temple for Godzilla where

(34:32):
he's still returns to rest. This would explain, why Godzilla
has a softer spot for Humanity and would go out of his way to
avoid human casualties from Godzilla 2014, he had positive
interaction with the human spanning thousands of years and
he truly does not have any need to quarrel with them or cause
intentional destruction to theirhomes.

(34:53):
Yeah. He's like a, he's like a
protector of people because theywere like, Awesome.
Don't kill us. We worship you to bring him back
to life. Yeah, I mean that was pretty
spicy but I mean necessary. A quick little hot shot to get
him up and running, you know? Yeah. well, you know, like Gigi

(35:19):
H Godzilla growth hormone. It's like wolf will Wall Street,
that's a line after the everything everything they take
the the Quaaludes that are like old and then they get really

(35:41):
trashed. And then he doesn't line like I
was just gonna say that it was gonna see the throwback to Uncle
baby Billy. Okay.
Lord. Blessed is cocaine.
Yeah, I need So got those cocaine.

(36:04):
Yeah, we've established. Yeah, well director, Michael
Dougherty didn't outright say Rodan was his favorite.
He has stated that he has a major saucepot for Rodan and
praise. He did Justice for the
character. I don't look awesome as like a
fire demon. Yeah that's kind of cool.
Like a goddamn Pteranodon with lava for blood.

(36:29):
Look. Yeah, with a buzzard heads.
And the other movies is just a teared actual.
Yeah, yeah. I like that.
They gave him like cool powers and stuff like it was
interesting. Here, the director instructed,
the designers to look at the original designs from every era

(36:52):
and quote, distilled those Silhouettes.
And those key traits into something more modern, it was
important for the director. That the Titans were not just
simply treated as monsters, but quote, very large animals with a
distinct thought process and they fucking nailed it.
Yeah, everything that they did. Looked great and made sense, you

(37:13):
know, like, you know, the one that was buried under the
fucking Hill. He's covered in Moss and all
that stuff. Like it's they just made it make
sense. Yeah, which is really hard to
do. Like that's a huge buying for a
movie. It's like all there's all these
giant monsters. Yeah they could have cracked out
and done something ugly. Yeah but they really held true

(37:34):
to everything which is nice. Yeah.
Is why like Pacific Rim works. So good.
Does everything looked so good. The other first one there is
there was no sequel to that movie.
It was a standalone Really? They made it gorgeous and they

(37:54):
made it make sense like they didhere.
They made it, like, there's no way for the schedule, fuck it
up. So they didn't make another one.
Yeah, yeah, exactly 100%. Yeah, like, I'd be stupid.
The last trivia fact here. Charles Dance rather bluntly
stated that he nearly fell asleep at the film's premiere.
He's also like 80 years old. Yeah, he didn't get his nap.

(38:18):
Yeah, to be very falsely but a gunfighter.
Fall asleep in the movies. All the time.
Yeah, it's cold. It's quiet.
It's dark. What do you want?
Oh my God. And we're gonna move on to One
star reviews. Fuck these people?

(38:39):
Yeah, yeah. This one is titled.
It's a movie about talking people with monsters in the
background. Boring movie.
Every monster scene plays in thedark.
The character. I will give them a lot of it was
very dark. Yeah I think it's the 4K

(39:00):
released a clean that up. Yeah the characters talk about
some family therapy stuff from beginning to end.
All in all I'd say there are 10 minutes of monster action that's
not true. The rest is talking like, Lester
the movie. Yeah, the rest is talking and
looking at a black box. The Roland emmerich movie was

(39:20):
the best one. He made Godzilla a threat and a
real God. Oh.
So this person's an idiot. I don't even know what.
I'm just the 90s one. Oh yeah.
The Matthew Broderick one eat dick?
Yeah, yeah. That's a person that just wants
an action movie, then. Yeah.
The 98 is not a Godzilla movie. Yeah.

(39:44):
Yeah. It's a movie with a giant
monster. That calls itself that he saw
the T-Rex part and lost world and just did that for a whole
movie. Yeah.
Oh, by the way, this movie has a6.2 and IMDb ish, like it, very

(40:08):
mixed. So more on the title of this is
6.2 score. This is bulshit.
Where do I start the movie? Is an is all in the eye.
Candy factory and nothing else. Nothing.
The plot line is written four slash by 12 year olds, and the
director has a profound misunderstanding of what

(40:30):
radiation is and how it works. It's not up to the director
either way. The old Who can save the world,
but a child BS makes me nauseous, but the most annoying
part, the monsters. Keep arbitrarily changing size
and proportion. Depending on, what's the scene
needs, if you need the protagonist to pet Godzilla on

(40:50):
the snout, the creature is Tiny.Know, the creature was fucking
here. He Barely touched his nose isn't
one of those silhouette like seems yeah, the that's so
artistic. But if you need him to take down
a skyscraper, the monster is a motherfuking, leviathan.
The movie is an insult to life itself.

(41:13):
The director should bury himselfin the desert, out of pure
stream, He be trick or treat? Yeah.
Yeah. For real You know only to make
the best Kaiju movie of like thelast 20, some odd years.
One of the best horror movies ofthe last 20.
Some odd years. Let's not get crazy.
Well, true, we gave that we mustagree.

(41:33):
I didn't. What did you do that, amazing?
I think it look good. Like, a nice seven or eight or
something. No, you went high on that.
It's great. Yeah, and I'll give you best
horror Anthology movie. Yeah, 100%.
Not, one of the best horror movies in the last 20 years.
Oh, I don't know, I it's up there.
It's fun. It's got great segments.
I don't know. That's it's good.

(41:53):
I like it. Um, this one is called oh
Godzilla why? Oh, he's funny?
Yeah, uncommon. Where does where to start?
I think this could just be one of the worst movies I've ever
seen. Everything is just one cliche.

(42:14):
After another hit escapes, cracks the code Chinese third
gen experts, who believe in honor tradition and love
sacrificing themselves. I didn't know.
That was a cliche. Crazy.
White Geeks list, just goes on and on.
What's wrong with crazy white Geeks.

(42:34):
Hydrated and smash the microphones, too.
Cheers, Cheers. I like Godzilla and I can handle
a cliche or two but this is justtoo much.
This film shouldn't have made shouldn't have been made and I
shouldn't have watched this piece of shit.
Do yourself a really big favor and watch something else.

(42:57):
Count leaves on trees, get Corona and anything, but this so
Arturo is in the house. What's going on?
Been released. This is our last one star.
Review. These are making me angry as bad

(43:18):
as any Godzilla movie can get well, sir.
Wow. Yeah, that you've never seen
Godzilla Raids Again. Yeah.
They're just wasn't enough CGI monsters to remove the residue
of bad acting from the humans. Dry boring and irrelevant would
be compliments to these actors. Their production was more like

(43:40):
unflavored gelatin, what's the point?
Oh yeah. Godzilla was a guest Cameo at
best? These people never seen.
Yeah, God. Yeah.
It doesn't say 2014 is way more guilty of that.
Yeah, but that was the job of approach. yeah, 100% because You

(44:03):
know, they really it's better. Now it's getting there.
I mean he looked pretty much onebut you still know it's a CGI
monsters. So yeah, I don't know what I
mean at this point in, you know, technology.
I don't think we're ever gettinga guy in a suit again.
Like it's just it's not no, no, no.
Not even Japan. Did.
I mean shouldn't Godzilla? I don't think she was really.

(44:25):
Yeah, Parks they did CG too. Well, the CG was to accent but
it was mostly a due to suit but as well.
See you Minus one was made to look like a dude in a suit
though. All right, that's true.
In these ones. Are you reviews?
Go watch Godzilla Monster Island.

(44:45):
See, which ones are yeah. Well what the fuck was the one
with Don Frye? Oh, Lord.
Oh We watched it. We watched it was a Godzilla
2000. No final Wars final wars.
Yeah, yeah. That was terrible.
That's when I call it's uh The Matrix Center Godzilla.

(45:07):
Yeah, that one That's the one with like Kaizer at the end,
right? Yeah.
Yeah yeah yeah yeah. And they're all fighting in
black suits because of the Matrix on motorcycles it's
right. Yeah it was all alien shit.
Yeah. That's right.
They like completely copied the second Matrix movie which I
think is pretty terrible on its own.

(45:29):
So why copy that one? Because that was the new hotness
at the time. I guess.
I don't know. I guess so, but the only
redeeming part of that movie is he kills Zilla like, when blast,
which is hilarious. Yeah.
Should have saved this movie forkaija.
They're playing TJ. I don't know what you in this
year. I don't know.
We haven't talked about it. Yeah, we yeah, we didn't we just

(45:52):
do we just did a theme. We did Amber month.
We had a recharge on the themes.Did we do her?
We did know. We didn't.
So, we did. We just did a theme month.
What else, what was it? Hmm, I thought it was Hammer,
because didn't we do the mummy. Know Dracula was part of the

(46:15):
Dracula Horror of Dracula was part of fucking Revenant.
It was Revenge, most Revenge by what theme on.
Did we do? I don't know.
Dragon was part of Revenge month.
Yeah, that's the one. Oh Christ.
Yeah, but that's it for one starreviews.

(46:35):
All right, we're gonna move on to the better known as just
pretend you're hearing the bumper music a little bit back.
Yeah, we're gonna start off withdirector.
Michael Dougherty who we have talked about, not once, not
twice, but this is now the Thrice time we've talked about
him. I love that band.
Yeah. As he was the director, not only

(46:57):
of trick or treat, but he directed Krampus as well, which
was rad. Yeah.
Yeah. It wasn't really good movie,
2015. He's a writer that.
I think he's director as well. Yeah.
He's currently working on trick-or-treat, two.
He did direct Krampus, and that's really it.
Like, as all of his other things, he did, one of the urban

(47:18):
legend movies Thank you so at least part of it.
Yeah it's not listed on his directing credits.
Anyway, As you listen, Maybe wrote.
Yeah, he's listening, right? Yeah, probably Hellraiser.
Oh yeah, he's a writer. He was on the writers on execute
which I think is arguably one ofthe best comic book movies ever.
Yeah I I could agree with that. David hater was my main Raiders

(47:42):
doing, which is really cool. It's a wrote Superman Returns
but we're not gonna hold that against him.
I'm gonna say, I'm gonna I'm gonna I'm gonna go ahead and say
the best two Comic book to film movies, our sin city, and Scott
Pilgrim. Yeah.

(48:03):
Since city is fucking dope. It is yeah.
Since he's great. I told him was good too.
I think I told the story before, but the first I time I ever read
Sin City, I bought it the old ass Barnes & Noble.
It's not a Chinese buffet on Wolf Road, And I like I was
hungry. So I'm gonna go grab some food
at the Wolf Road diner and I brought the book in with me just

(48:25):
to look through it. I ended up reading the whole
book like right there. Yeah.
I think I bought all mine at Borders.
Yeah, I miss borders. Borders was good.
It was a good one. Yeah, that's now a like, a crab
boil. Now, the finer books stores
colony and the restaurant who needs books, we have the

(48:47):
internet Oh Rocketeer. Yeah, Rocketeer was really good.
That is a good one. Yeah.
The phase are arguably better than books.
Yeah. Buffet.

(49:09):
Oh, like, have your books, and have a buffet.
Yeah, like the first like you get, you get your plates and
your books in the same spot. There's just like, you know, the
things the plates come up on those little Rises.
Like it's got one for books spring loaded.
Yeah, you don't put it and get anew one.

(49:33):
All right, we're going to move on to Kyle Chandler, who plays
the Dad, who will just say in this movement.
Really remember his name the dad?
Yeah, he's the dad. He's gonna be playing how Jordan
in the upcoming Green Lantern series, which looks like it's
gonna be really good. Yeah, I'm hyped for that.
It's gonna be on HBO. DC typically does better with

(49:55):
cartoons and TV shows? And they do with movies?
Yeah. Yeah.
He's another dude. Like he's like Peak, generic
white guy. Like look at that dude.
That's a forgettable. White looks like seven people.
Yeah. So, like you've seen him before
in something, you're probably not going to remember his name
but like me, you probably won't even remember, it was a movie.

(50:17):
You saw him in, like I work withthis guy here.
They got on the Lowe's. Some of the things he's been in
recently, he was an episode of Mayor of Kingstown with the
recently, run over Jeremy Rennertwo years ago.
It was a little bit long becausehe's like fully back together

(50:38):
again. Yeah, so maybe like within the
past five years, he was in game night with that fucking Jason
Bateman and I forget the girl's name, Rachel.
Something. Anyway, he shows up, he's in The

(50:59):
Wolf of Wall Street. We mentioned that before, he's
the federal agent after LeonardoDiCaprio, Other than he's in
Zero Dark Thirty he's an Argo, he's the dad in Super 8.
He was in Friday Night Lights. The series 76 episodes of that.
Isn't that boring ass Day? The Earth, Stood Still remake
from 2008 with Keanu, Reeves. Our goal was the one with Ben

(51:25):
Affleck, like, like being this like pretending to be the movie
director. Yeah.
The Iranian hostages? Yeah, I was a good movie.
Yeah. Was a good movie.
He was in the 2005, King Kong movie, The Other Peter Jackson
one. Oh, Which is a solid way to kill
like three and a half hours. That might be as far as the

(51:47):
notable stuff he was in Eight Episodes of Tour of Duty, he was
an episode of Freddy's nightmares. 1989.
The memorable character of Chuck.
Fuck that show up next Vera, Farmiga.
We don't think we've talked about her before but she isn't
any notable horror series. She plays Lorraine Warren in The

(52:08):
Conjuring movies, noted real no grifter.
Yeah, Drifter and con woman Lorraine Warren.
Um, well, that's not real. Yeah, yes.
The thing. You know that they are grifters
and con artists. That's half the appeal for me, I
want to know everything I want to.
I want to listen to all the Pokemon Aries.

(52:32):
I know that they were full of shit.
Yeah, I can't stop watching stuff about them.
I heard this on a podcast, like, one of the one of the first
scams that they started was Yeah, the husband Ed would paint
a picture of somebody's house, like they were driving around,
find a house he'd like take pictures or whatever and then

(52:53):
paint the house. Lorraine would take the painting
up to the house. And so like, oh my husband, my
husband painted this picture of your house, you know?
Wanted you to have it. And like, by the way, I'm
psychic. And I think there's ghosts in
your house. Yeah, that's how he started.
Yeah, we gotta do that. I'm in, yeah.

(53:14):
No, we're gonna take it even a step further.
We're gonna become Ghostbusters.Yes, Oh, man.
See, we painted this house and her husband painted this house
at all. The sudden, there's a ghost in
the picture there. We're just you standing in this
window that I painted of your house.

(53:37):
Oh my God. Oh, that is pure joy.
And again, you can get that. For five dollars off.
Oh yeah if you use the code of monster.
Mead. Monster.
Mead. Yeah.
Where's my code? I have to give you one though.
Hey, what the fuck? Are you doing so that?

(54:09):
Oh yeah. It's still my segment.
Yeah. Beer Farmiga.
The other thing, she's probably most known for is being in The
Departed, which is all. So really, really awesome movie.
That's a very good. Yeah.
She's also in a terrible, metal band.
Is she really is? Yeah, I did not know that.
Yeah. What's the band?

(54:30):
Yeah. I don't remember.
Yeah, um she was in the Hawkeye miniseries.
Recently as Kate Bishops, mom, she was in The Sopranos recent
movie as Olivia, soprano, Tony'smom.
Of course, we mentioned The Conjuring.

(54:51):
The Annabelle spin-off. She's in Yeah, the yaguez.
The yaguez. Yeah, heavy metal band.
The debut album So, the yaguez is her band name.

(55:12):
Yeah, that sounds terrible. Yeah.
Um, that's probably it as far asthe, like, the really big stuff
she was and she was in the movieup in the air with George
Clooney, which is not bad. It was just It's happening here.
Yeah, it's just kind of up here up next Millie.
Bobby Brown. Of course, is most well known as

(55:32):
11 on Stranger Things. Noted Drake Target.
Yeah, she has been in a couple of those Enola Holmes movies on
Netflix. I saw the first one and that's
enough. I like it.
I didn't want to go back for more.
Yeah, yeah. Like I watched it, I'm good.
Like they said, there's a secondone out like.
Hmm. Yeah, yeah.

(55:53):
She's fine. I don't really get the appeal.
Her. I don't know.
I think. Yeah.
I got I don't want to shut her but she's not there.
Good of an actress. Doesn't do it for me.
Yeah, she was because stranger things was a phenomenon.
It's where she started. Yeah, she was in the movie
electric State on Netflix. Which came out a couple months
ago, which is not bad. It's the Russo brothers.
So like it's, you know, big and actioning.

(56:14):
So there's a bunch of marbles stars in it, but it is just kind
of dumb. She was another Netflix movie
recently damsel which I yeah, there was a lot of.
There's a lot of stuff that cameout around the time of that said
like she was an awful fucking person to work for driver with
work with yeah. I have heard.
I mean, she is good and strangerthings though.

(56:35):
I will give her that and she hasbeen in two Godzilla movies this
one and the father you love how they're still playing teenagers
but they're all like 30 now. Yeah, yeah, we're in college 45.
A. let's see, that's probably TJ.

(56:57):
I would have loved it. If Alan Alda showed up in
anything Hawkeye that would Up next Ken Watanabe.
He plays Dr. Sarah, and this movie in the first one.
He's another dude, you've seen in a lot of big movies over the

(57:19):
years. Yeah, probably.
Yeah. Last Samurai that's another
really, really awesome movie Inception.
All so is amazing. He's in both of those and for
the trailer for this, the whole, let him fight thing.
They showed him like a million times.
Yeah, the trailer, Let Them Fight.
He was in the Creator on Hulu, which was okay.

(57:41):
I just couldn't, I don't know what it was and you'd be a
little bit shorter. I think a little bit more
concise he'd be shorter and it needed to Be your further away
from not being Star Wars, you know what I mean?
Yeah. Um let's see anything else?

(58:01):
Really, really super notable. Ah, it's really a lot of
Japanese stuff. Um, so we're going to move on.
Oh, he's in Roswell. That's right.
He's the fake Ra's al Ghul in Batman Begins.
Yeah, Memoirs of a Geisha is an amazing fucking move.
That is amazing. Isn't it with what's his name,

(58:22):
you and McGregor? I think, isn't it?
No, no, I never saw but I heard of it.
Okay. Ken Watson obviously.
Hey, how about that? Yeah.
You yeah, probably not listeningfight.
I'm sure you can find that somewhere.

(58:43):
Everything is for sale. Everything he just played who
was also in Memoirs of a game. Yeah, I got a couple people in
this movie where he was the mainactress.
She's been a lot of, like, the later, like big name.

(59:03):
Like Kung Fu movies, Crouching Tiger, Hidden, monkey.
Yeah. House of Flying, Daggers in
Dragon. Yeah.
Crouching Tiger Hidden Drive. Yeah.
Yeah. um, she was in the Cloverfield Paradox, which was
not a good movie. That was 2018.

(59:27):
Jesus Christ. Seems like it was like four or
five years ago. Um, That's probably it.
As far as the big big stuff. We mentioned Crouching Tiger,
she was a voice in the Ninja Turtles movie.
The one before the Michael Bay ones, we love them.
It is a good movie. Yeah, we mentioned Memoirs of a

(59:49):
Geisha, Exquisite needle drop inthat movie with Black Betty by
Ram Jam. Oh, really?
Yeah, and members of vacation. Yeah.
Ram Jam. Yeah we mentioned House of
Flying Daggers. She wasn't hero with gently,

(01:00:10):
isn't that? Yeah the warrior Rush Hour 2.
She's in Yeah, this is like the arrow where like movies were
being made in Japan, but then brought over and produced quote
unquote for Ya by Americans. And Black Betty Jing, Jing, Jing
Jing. Oh, anyway, Bradley whitford's

(01:00:33):
up next. He's another dude who shows up
in a lot of stuff, he's probablymost notably, the bad guy from
Billy Madison. Oh, she's weird.
Oh shit. Sorry.
Take a little knee break right there but yeah, a little need

(01:00:55):
time. He was also the bad guy and get
out. I was 2017.
He mentioned him before actuallythat's right.
He's in Cabin in the Woods, he'sone of the two technician guys.
Yeah. Which I just watching part over
again, the other day. I do love that movie so much.
It's really fun, but like it's one of those movies where like,

(01:01:16):
once you know, what's happening. It kind of ruins it for a little
bit, it's still fun like this season.
You see all these coolers and stuff like you know, All right,
handmaid's tale. I'd like handstands still.

(01:01:39):
let's, See. Bradley Whitford.
Anything else major? Here's the Wonder Years reboot.
Oh that was a fucking thing. There's a rebooted, there's a
real. What were they like 80 at that
point? Yeah.
And it was a remake not a reboot.
It was um I don't know if it's still setting like the 70s or

(01:01:59):
whatever. 60s. Growing up in Montgomery
Alabama, during the late 60s. Okay.
All right. I mean, maybe it's a great show.
I'm not gonna. Yeah, I don't care.
Um, he played Dr. Jonathan craneaka the Scarecrow and a Batman
podcast series. It sounds like it would be

(01:02:20):
awesome. Did I just saw an ad today?
I was reading the new episode ofthe reading the new episode,
reading, the new issue of absolute Martian Manhunter.
There's a new Batman podcast where every week, they just make
a and they can audio, like, tailof a classic Batman story.
Oh, yeah, nice. It's like called Batman full
volume or something like that. Okay, yeah.

(01:02:41):
There's a lot of Batman podcast.Did you listen to The Riddler
one? I went to click it and I did, I
don't have Spotify on my phone so I couldn't listen to do.
Yeah, I do want to check that out.
It's so good. Um, so with Hassan manage,
right? He's the Riddler.
Yeah. Who Rapunzel's Tangled
Adventure? 2017 or 193 episodes.

(01:03:05):
Um, this might be hit as far as the notable stuff.
Oh, Bradley with. Yeah, he was in The West Wing,
too. We're gonna up next Sally,
Hawkins, who we have talked about before.
She is, of course, was in the shape of water.
She was the lead and that which fucking Masterpiece.
Yeah, it's way better than a 7.3, I'm sorry.

(01:03:26):
Yeah, it's like a nine. We did just, just Lisa.
Yeah, she was in the Wonka moviein which the term bushy gets
you. the word Boosie get sang inthat movie, like I still spit my

(01:03:51):
drink out when I seriously This people that wrote that were
like, what's a word that kids are using?
Oh pussy. Should we look it up?
It sounds cute. Yeah harmless.
Oh, it's just a gas station, right?

(01:04:12):
Yeah, stop at pussies. Get a few drinks, you know.
Blisseys. Yeah.
Oh, I don't know if we can recover from this corner store,
that was gonna get some busy meat.

(01:04:39):
Specializing loose meat sandwiches.
Oh, this show is called, that's okay.
One of many reasons. I don't like a fucking man,
which or a sloppy joe, because another name for it is a loose
meat sandwich. What are we doing?

(01:05:12):
And they also taste gross. Silly Hawkins, fucks, a fish man
in a movie and it got an AcademyAward.
How could you not be in on that? All right, we're gonna move on
up next Charles Dance. Who is the Eco terrorist?

(01:05:35):
In this movie? I didn't know they put Eco
terrorist in movies. After the 90s.
Oh yeah, yeah. Well Sagal killed most.
Yeah, right down below. What's the other one?
I'm deadly ground on. Deadly ground.
Yeah. Um, he is, of course, most well
known for playing Tywin Lannister in Game of Thrones,
it's only 27 episodes of that show.

(01:05:58):
Feels like it would be that long.
Yeah, he was, of course, the badguy in The Last Action here,
which is awesome. He's going to be in the upcoming
Guillermo del Toro Frankenstein, which I can't wait for gonna be
six. Yeah, yeah.
They released a trailer for that.
Yeah, no. Just production shots.
Probably yeah. He was recently in the first

(01:06:21):
Omen, which I did not enjoy everybody else.
Seems yeah. It's hard?
Yeah, okay. I saw the ending coming like,
oh, it's Damien's mom, yeah, I can um, other than that, I got
to the king of the monsters. He's in one of Arts.
Favorite movies? Space truckers.

(01:06:43):
Yes. That's not even a joke.
Yeah. No, that's a reality.
Yeah. Ghostbusters.
Usually, I the Ghostbusters. The, the one that everybody
hated the. Yes.
Which which one. Yes.
It's true. That's true.
Not one of the original two. Yeah, he was in a couple.

(01:07:04):
I think of the blood on blood work.
Excuse me, Underworld movies. At least one of them.
I did not realize they made a movie of Pride and Prejudice and
Zombies. Oh no.
Yeah. But I haven't seen it.
Yeah. I'm waiting for scents and
Sensibility and sea monsters. Yeah.
He was in the childhoods and TV series.
We had to read that and high school.
Yeah. I know they made a series.

(01:07:28):
I wasn't that good of a book. No, it was about like aliens
coming to Earth and like the book is like three different
phases and like the first one is, like the aliens arriving.
Yeah, the second part is like 100 years afterwards.
Okay. And like, it's like, I like
Humanity evolves. And like, the third one is like,

(01:07:48):
the one like in the far future. I just, I don't think I finished
reading it. No.
Yeah, I'd rather just watch V. Yeah, exactly.
Yeah. There's no lizard people in
childhood's end. He was in Dracula, Untold in 24.
We're gonna have to watch that movie Moana.
Oh yeah. Oh, that was painful.

(01:08:11):
Yeah, I've never seen it. Look at this.
Look at this. That is awesome. here, the
different like Kaiju coming up at Titans.
Sorry, we're in America. Yeah, there's a there's a
terrifying you Here's the one coming out of the mountain.

(01:08:32):
Yeah, yeah. Just so cool humans Worship in
atomic bomb. That's a monkey movie.
Damn it. Let's see.
We're still on Charles Dance. Jesus.
Yeah, he's like 1000 years old? Yeah.
He was in the Merlin TV. Oh, that's TV.

(01:08:55):
Shows a series. I thought it was the miniseries
from NBC. Like in the 90s.
Oh no. That was like, yeah, Sam Neil.
It was like show at show. He's in a lot of shit that
nobody's ever heard. Yeah.
That was like leaves and elaborate.
Nope, that's not that Henry, theeighth.

(01:09:18):
We might just move on. Yeah, yeah, another hour.
Sorry, no English, yeah, your time in Lannister.
That's what we give shit and thebad guy from.
Last Action Hero? Yeah, Thomas middleditch is in
this movie, he is most notably. What's an Underpants?
Is he really? I didn't realize that he is also
from Silicon Valley, Richard Hendricks, I think is his name

(01:09:41):
in that show. That was a really funny show.
Other than that, he was a voice on solar opposites which is just
like low budget, Rick and Morty. He did voice stuff for high on
life. I saw oh okay the video game.
Yep. Oh hello.
From the magic Tavern. Is a fun podcast.
Oh okay. It's an improv fantasy podcast.

(01:10:03):
All right. He's been on a three episodes of
Bob's Burgers. You're the worst drunk history,
history is great. I do like that show.
He's been on Rick and Morty. Captain Underpants, yeah.
But yeah, his biggest thing was Silicon Valley.
He's in The Wolf of Wall Street. Also, A lot of people I'm

(01:10:28):
moving. Yeah.
You've got some Star Wars Voice work.
The Old Republic at this point. Everybody's got Star Wars work.
I'm pretty sure there's so many like shows and cartoons and
movies. Now like it games and games.
Yeah, I was background. Hot number two and Obi-Wan.
Yeah. Up next.
Oh Shay Jackson Jr. Most notably for being these son

(01:10:53):
of Ice Cube. Yep.
Who he played in Straight Outta Compton.
And cocaine bear using cocaine Berry.
Yeah. That was funny shit.
That was a fun movie. Um, He was in that movie with
Jerry Butler, done a thieves andthe sequel.
That just came. I never saw the first one.
I just watched the first one so good.

(01:11:15):
He wasn't Obi-Wan, holy shit. For three episodes.
No. God damn.
Ah, drum Campbell as drunk Campbell Jesus, Drunk History.
His name is Clive Campbell and Drunk History than a thieves.

(01:11:37):
Yeah. And that is it Straight Outta
Compton, which we mentioned. Yeah.
And last up Anthony Ramos, he isand he's in a ton of stuff
lately. He first got famous because of
lin-manuel Miranda, he was in Hamilton, he's in the in the
Heights movie, he's at the lead of that.
He's been in a lot of stuff recently.

(01:11:59):
He's going to be in the Iron Heart mini series, which is this
year, apparently. All right, he's the voice of
Bob, the Builder and the Bob, the Builder movie, Bob the
build. Its gonna be a Bob, the Builder
apparently, like, live action movie, kids actually give a shit
about that still, I thought it was like over.
Yeah, I don't know. How live action Bob.
The Builder. He was recently in twisters and

(01:12:22):
dumb money. We just came up last week.
That was The Game. Stop stock movie.
Oh yeah, he was in Transformers rise of the beasts, which
actually is far as Transformers movies goes wasn't bad.
No bad. Yeah.
He's in those bad guys. Animated movies.
Like The anthropomorphic animals.

(01:12:44):
That's pretty much any animated movie.
Yeah. Mentioned Hamilton.
We mentioned in the Heights World Tour.
Yeah. The Blockbuster trolls.
He is in 19 episodes of the, She's Gotta Have It TV series
based on the Spike Lee movie, he's in A Star is Born 2018.

(01:13:05):
And I think that's it. Yeah.
He's in a white girl. In 27. 2616 who?
Yeah. That'll do it for the better
known as the crapshoot insert toilet noise here.
Oh, Thunderbolts this week. Yes, I thought there's a yeah, I

(01:13:29):
fucking really liked it. It was fun.
It is a lot about like mental health and stuff which is pretty
cool. Um, I thought it ended up Lee
and yeah, Valentina didn't really like, She was the villain
and didn't really pay for anything, you know what I mean?
Yeah, yeah, she can get. Yeah, but I'm sure that'll be.
I mean, that story is, will be ongoing.

(01:13:49):
She'll be around for a couple more movies.
Probably Oh probably, I like that Marvel Finally Revealed the
title of the movie. Um, they reveal it at the end of
the movie and then now they're, they're actually literally
changing the posters. The whole marketing campaign is
now with the real title of the movie which is the new Avengers
New Avengers. Yeah.
Wait, what? Yeah.
At the end of the movie, It's like a whole fucking Switcheroo

(01:14:12):
like that's not Thunderbolts. It was marketed as Thunderbolts
with the asterisk and then at the end of the movie, they
explained the asterisk and they rip it off.
It's the new Avengers and they're now they're now they
change the title of the movie. It's now the new Avengers.
That's kind of dumb. It's a gimmick.
It's cool. Like all right, there's a cool
switch room. Yeah.

(01:14:33):
You know. It's a one trick pony.
Yeah, but it was fun. It was a good movie.
Yeah, there's two things that I think there's gonna be rival
Avengers because Sam's gonna have his own.
They're saying, right, there's suing for the at the end and
also, I think we're bringing X-Men, I think I do X-Men versus
The Avengers at some point. Oh, that would be cool.
But I mean, having to do like two Avengers teams is right out
of the comics. You know, you had that one point

(01:14:54):
like the new Avengers in the mighty Avengers, like, one of
them was like the government sanction team, and one of them
was like, the Rogue like, you know, Street hero team.
Yeah, I mean, there's always been dual Avengers.
There's always Avengers West Coast.
Yeah. Um, but it's a fun.
Like, Switcheroo I don't want togive away the ending, but they
tricked insurance, but they all face their demons, I'm pretty

(01:15:14):
sure why Russell just relived that pool movie.
Did the killer swimming pool movie, just relived going
through that whole movie. Far, sad or swimming pool kills.
People probably shouldn't goin'.It I guess I'll stop swimming
was really was the Poltergeist house.

(01:15:35):
Yeah and he's going, he's real. He's so bad.
They are fairly making Young Avengers.
They keep hinting at it. Like small is putting together
the Young Avengers But no, I wasit's a fun movie.
Like it's kind of back to form for Marvel a little bit.
Yeah. I enjoyed it.

(01:15:57):
Yeah, I would say it's the best one, a long time.
It was on for Deadpool and Wolverine.
Yeah, yeah. For sure.
David Harbour, I thought I was great at his red card in.
Oh yeah. He is the best character.
Yeah, David Harbour is just goodand everything.
Yeah, yeah. And dead.
Was it Silent Night? Deadly night, not so, I, yeah,

(01:16:18):
Silent Night deadly is the horrible slasher movie.
Yeah, they're making it the Remake in that they're making a
new one, why? Why?
Yeah, we've had like way too much like badass.
Killer Santos stuff lately. Like we should just stopped
after violent night. Yeah.
I mean like black Christmas did well.
So put that was like fucking 10 years ago, at least he had read

(01:16:42):
one last year which was a horrormovie.
It was a Santa action movie. um,Uncanny of it.
Yeah, that'd be cool. Avengers Avengers Avengers Inc.
Or hear me out. Stop.
No no. It's a bad idea.

(01:17:02):
You sure. Yeah.
Great Lakes Avengers like, Georgia vendors stewards of
Vermont Avengers. Good Lord, I didn't really like
go to the movie. I love it.
Aside from thunderballs go to the movie as much as week.
Yeah. And really watch my only one

(01:17:24):
week. Did you guys see Sinners?
Yes. I watched a bootleg e version of
it. I like it.
I thought it was a fun. Way too close to Dust Till Dawn.
Vampire 100. Yeah, yeah, it is very just hold
on but I I do like the vampire. Segments are really good.

(01:17:48):
Yeah, I love that movie. Now, I'm not gonna say it's not
valid. Okay.
But the cultural appropriation theme of the movie was so
ham-fisted. Yeah.
Like okay, yes, that is. It is without we want to steal
your music is valid thing that you were doing here.

(01:18:09):
But they like there's no subtlety in it.
Yeah, I love that. Have you either?
You haven't seen. I don't want to spoil like it's
good because there's a whole vampire thing at the end.
And like, once that's over, it'slike, oh, all right, that was
tense, this movie's over, oh wait, no, here's a little extra
thing. That's gonna make you think this
is even better. Yeah.
Yeah. Michael B.

(01:18:31):
Jordan plays a set of twins likeflawlessly.
Yeah. Like it's really, really it
doesn't great job. They're very different from each
other which I thought was impressive.
Yeah, they don't look. Different.
And so, like, the only difference is like the color of
their hat. Well, the one who's going to
like outline and the other one has like the full gold tooth on
the other side. Yeah, that's really.

(01:18:53):
That's really good. Like, oh, gold teeth.
All right. Yeah, not the full gold tooth.
They couldn't have different facial hair, you know.
Like a fucking Spock thing. And Mirror Mirror.
Yeah, like one's got a mustache. One is not.
I know, I I've seen that movie twice.
I, that is gonna be tough to be for my movie of the year is

(01:19:15):
good. I yeah, I love the music is
fucking awesome and too, in thatmovie, and I will disagree with
you because when you were initially telling me about it,
the the dance scene with the vampires, the Irish stuff. it's
not soulless, it's not like I don't know, to me.

(01:19:37):
It's not gimmicky know like that.
That was like, legit. Like that is called that
culture. Yeah, that's what that's like.
Um, like I was talking like me and the student I work with,
like, it's been talking about this movie, like, non fucking
stop. He was talking about how like,
what's his name? The vampire.
Oh, Jesus. Yeah, I don't remember his name.

(01:19:58):
Yeah, he's an Irish vampire and it's not Cassidy well.
Yeah. But he's like he's selling the
idea of becoming a vampire on like to them as like you know
all this hatred. You guys get like it's gonna go
away like we'll all be the same.Yeah.
And like he is in a way like Correct about that.

(01:20:18):
They wouldn't be like all this racism.
There wouldn't be Jim Crow like all of it was homogeneous.
Yeah it'll be vampires. Like yeah so we were talking
about that for a while. I just I love that movie so
much. I have never wanted to beer more
in my life than when he gives Delroy Lindo that beer at the

(01:20:38):
train station. Yeah, he's a real Irish beer.
He's like let me try that. I didn't fucking beer right now.
now, um, I actually like the Theconcept of those vampires too
because like its hive mind. Yeah.
Yeah. Like there's the leader and then

(01:20:59):
once he bites you and you becomea vampire, you are basically a
pawn in his game. I like the hive mind vampires.
Yeah, it's good. It's very it's probably some of
the more refreshing vampires I've seen since. like, 30 Days
of Night. It's been a while since I've

(01:21:19):
done anything like different. Yeah.
Um, but yeah. Oh God, I do love that movie.
It makes me want more good. Different vampire stuff.
Good original stuff too. Yeah.
Give me that near dark shit. You know what I mean?
Like, yeah, I love that grimy. Dirty ass desert vampires.

(01:21:41):
Yeah, well it's as well. And that's where we got like a
million zombie movies. Yeah, yeah.
They flooded the market and nobody cared anymore.
Yep. What's that?
Drove it into the ground? Yeah, for sure.
So um I don't know if you guys heard is their plate plan to
make one more of the Living Deadmovie.

(01:22:03):
And he wrote it before he died, he wrote to like cap off the
franchise. He wrote a know.
He wrote a book before he died. He wrote like that.
Another dude. Finished it.
But apparently it's come out recently that he had like a
screenplay or something, as family, like finished off or
something or no, that's the final Dead movie.

(01:22:24):
You know what? I'm gonna tell you right now,
it's gonna suck because the lasttwo movies sucked ass.
Yeah. After diary and yeah.
I haven't been watching him since diary.
Yeah. Don't know.
We're good. We're good.
Like Land of the Dead was the last good thing he did and that
was what? 2000 fucking four, five.

(01:22:47):
I think it's five. Oh, anything else?
Um, I didn't see. Dropped, did you guys see drop?
I've heard good things about it.I It, I don't know.
Like It's just like it's supposed to be suspenseful.
What can we use a little more suspense?
I don't know what it is. Um it's this movie.

(01:23:10):
This looks like single mom. She goes on a date.
And like in the middle of the date, she starts getting like
airdrops on her phone. It's like somebody like telling
her like I need you to kill yourdate tonight like if you don't
do this. Oh okay.
Yeah I think I saw a trailer forthat.
Yeah it wasn't it wasn't bad. It was just okay. like yeah, it

(01:23:30):
was decent and what you guys think of the monkey?
I like it. I didn't think I was gonna like
that much. I thought it was actually really
good. I don't see it.
Yeah, I think that's pretty fun.Is it?
Interesting? But It's not what you expected
to be. Yeah.
Yeah. And it was way more comedic than
I thought it was gonna be. Oh yeah, it's over the top.

(01:23:51):
And that's another movie where the same actors playing two
brothers? Yeah, yeah.
Way different. Oh, that's oh yeah.
I've been going and seeing new movies and like, I mentioned
earlier playing a bunch of Oblivion.
Oblivion remastered is awesome. Alex is put way more hours and
even I have oh nice. now, I've been, I've been putting some

(01:24:18):
hours back into Grim Dawn. I don't know if you played that.
so Diablo, like It's you know what I have it.
I just haven't ever played it it's so fucking.
Yes it. Yeah, it's on my 1000 backlog.
It's it's good because like you get there's a lot of
customizability in the class system. because you pick a class

(01:24:44):
and then like, I don't like 10 levels later whatever you pick
another one and then they combine into a different like
skill set. It's really fun.
Yeah but I'm a big fan of like arpg.
Yeah I like that style game. Indiana Jones just came out for
PlayStation. I do want to pick that up.

(01:25:04):
I heard it was awesome. It was good.
Yeah, I haven't played. Yeah, yeah, I'm gonna get that
on PC eventually. Yes, somebody was telling me
that was like, it was it was really good.
Like It it's just like Indiana Jones.
It's Not and anything else. It should have been.
It's all movie. Free.
I've also been watching The Lastof Us and any of you guys watch

(01:25:27):
it but oh yeah he's probably gonna watch season 2 yet.
Yeah, it's been pretty good. It's been intense.
Yeah, I never got a say, I neverwatched the show because I never
played the game. So I was like, I don't want to
be lost and I don't want to liketry yeah, the show does a great
job but the game I think tells the story about her because
there's a lot more time. Yeah, yeah.
I think that's always gonna be the case. um, so gemstone finish

(01:25:52):
this week, I didn't see I didn'tsee yesterday's episode.
Oh, it's a tense, is it? Yeah, yeah.
I'm caught up to yesterday, but yeah.
Um but yeah. There's some good baby.
Billy stuff in there. Just gotta be.
So what if my favorite characters of all time?
Uncle baby, Billy good. Like how much Uncle baby Billy?

(01:26:15):
Like, like quoting did we do on Saturday?
Yes, I heard you, bitch. I'm pretend like I did.
Take the kids, get going. oh, Yeah, I'm gonna miss that show.

(01:26:40):
It was really good. It's a really good ending to.
This is the last season, right? Yeah.
It's the last episode. Yeah.
Oh, anything else anything you guys been up to?
Oh, TJ says, to tell our buddiesabout our Matlock Obsession
because we're mainly men. Yeah, matlock's fucking awesome
rules. I watch Kathy Bates whenever she
is solving Mysteries and fucking, yeah, court cases God

(01:27:03):
damn. Yeah.
Trying to blow up our spot but we don't care.
Yeah. I'm an Outback fan.
I can say I mean nothing really just game.
Oblivion. I did finish watching MASH
though. Oh yeah.
You mean the best show that's ever been on top of?
Absolutely. That was it like that's it.

(01:27:28):
How much? I mean, yeah, like I said,
Oblivion going to movies. I'm still going through the
whole Gundam series. A huge Gundam fan, but they've
been showing him at Regal. So I've been going through the
whole series. Okay.
He's like to catch a couple of those like Studio Ghibli movies
that they play every now and again.

(01:27:48):
Yeah yeah through doing those soon for Gabby Fest it's gonna
it's always good to go see him, you know.
A spiritual way is awesome. Absolutely, the only one I've
seen. Oh really?
Yeah, I'm telling you wanna know.
Okay, like amazing. Yeah, that might be the next.
Yeah, that's probably my favorite one.

(01:28:08):
Because that's like a that's like a mad action movie, too.
All right. Yeah.
Even My Neighbor Totoro, it's a great kids film totor was
awesome. I mean, there aren't bad ones.
They're like really what it is. They're all great.
Yeah, like house Moving Castle. Amazing.
Oh yeah, that's that's a really good one.
Totoro, amazing. Ponyo so good.

(01:28:36):
Like yep. It's a good Twist on Little
Mermaid Ponyo. Yeah.
All right. All right, that might be a good
place to wrap up number two hundred man.
Yeah, that's it. Yeah, God damn God.
Damn God damn. You guys want to plug yourself?
