(00:00):
Welcome to Big Hoss's tailgate. And we're live.
Sorry, guys, it's looks like there's no guest for me today.
(00:22):
So it looks like you're catchingthe first solo episode of Big
Hoss's Tailgate. Caught on video.
Caught on like video. Like, oh man, you snuck up and
you caught me doing something. Who?
Boy, you know, Well, it's just me today.
Yeah, I had a couple. I had some guests lined up
(00:42):
before on other episodes and things didn't work out.
So I need to get an episode out.So why not just me give you my
little thoughts on the world andstuff?
There's not much, I'll warn you that right there.
Yeah, I haven't really like I haven't had a whole lot.
I mean, I've had a lot going on,but not nothing like too too
(01:04):
crazy. I did partake in One Liner
Madness, which is a show where you write 1 liners and I'm not
really A1 liner guy. Like, I'm not, I'm not a Rodney
Dangerfield. Like who?
Look at me. I'm just, that's not me.
I'm not that kind of guy. So like I had to like take jokes
from my set and like compile it down, you know, and try to make
(01:25):
A1 liner out of it, which is kind of hard when most of your
jokes are like storytelling and just situations, you know, I
don't know. I'm not a yeah.
I'm just never been AI don't even know how to really to
write, write a one liner. I'm pretty decent with puns
sometimes, you know, if the moment strikes, it's weird.
Like, you know, like doing comedy and being funny in
(01:47):
conversation is two different things.
Because like, you know, you're just in the moment, you're funny
and you can, there's no pressure.
Just like, you know, you're justgoofing off or just venting your
frustrations with the world or whatever.
But now it's like, you know, nowI'm trying to be funny on stage
and it's harder than it looks. I mean, you can't try too hard.
(02:09):
You just got to be yourself, which is again, that's even
harder to do when you're not used to being yourself.
I mean, I'm learning new things about myself every day I go to,
you know, I, I'm not ashamed to say I go to therapy and stuff.
And, you know, it's helped me look at myself in different
ways. You know, like I didn't realize,
(02:32):
like the reason why I drink so much when I go out is because I
got social anxiety. Who would have thought of that?
Like, I didn't, you know, never really thought of it that way.
But yeah, you kind of do. I mean, whether it's the
background you go with that whole constantly worried about
what people are going to think or I don't know.
That's and I've always been one of those like I just it's hard
(02:55):
for me to like conform to what everybody else wants you to be,
you know? I mean, like you can only hold
that like, you know, you can, you can get away with it for
about like a day maybe. But like you can't maintain
being something else. Like, you know, for instance,
like being like, you know, I thought Big Hoss should have
been my party character when I go out at night.
(03:17):
It's not it's not really fun at all.
Actually. No one really cares for that.
Like it's just, you know, I think one comedian put it, he
said it's like basically you're doing Slurms Mackenzie, which to
be fair, you know, not a bad role to play.
You know, I like Slurms. I like Futurama, but you can't,
(03:39):
it's not maintainable. Like I've heard Rogan talk about
on his, he talked about like, you know, comedians that do
cocaine versus weed comics, likeweed comics always last.
Cocaine ones always burn out. And he's right.
Like I mean, it's that's just not maintainable to keep that
high energy all the time unless you're a high energy person.
(04:00):
I'm just kind of a laid back chill and you know, I can tell
you my thoughts. I'm not you know, sometimes it's
nice though to like to get, whenyou get energy behind something
you get excited. I get real excited in talking
about like comic books and stuff.
I can't help but you know, it's just something you love.
Speaking of comic books, I went to go see 2 comic book movies
(04:22):
recently. On a previous episode, I think
the Nick Lombardo episode, I washyped because of we were going
to go see Superman and everything.
I I enjoy the new Superman. Some people don't, you know, but
it is more comic book in its tone, you know what I mean?
Like it feels like you're dropped in the middle of a page,
(04:43):
like in a modern day Superman book, which is cool because like
in comic books, like, you know, because it's a universe, you run
into other characters, you're going to run into somebody, you
know, these cities, you know, like, like, for instance, New
York, like, you know, they always showed Spider Man
swinging through New York. Well, in a city it's populated
(05:05):
with The Avengers, the FantasticFour.
And you're like, you know, all these different characters,
you're bound to run into somebody like the X-Men, maybe
not so much 'cause they're like upper New York.
And I, I know I'm going into full detail for you guys and you
guys are like, that's too nerd shit for me.
But no, I'm just saying like it was kind of cool.
(05:25):
Like, you know, you run into these characters, like the Green
Lantern, you run into Hawk Girl, you run into Mr. Terrific.
I'll tell you what, if that dudedoesn't get a show, that's a
crime hands down. That dude highlighted the movie
right there and that dude got screwed over from doing X-Men
back in the day. If you guys ever seen X-Men
first class he played Darwin, which again not a huge character
(05:50):
in X-Men comics really like not really a big, you know, name
stay. But his power was that he can
adapt to anything and then gets killed by the guy the this main,
you know, the main bad guy, Kevin Bacon.
And it's like, wait a minute, this guy can adapt to anything.
He shouldn't die. If anything, he should just
(06:11):
withstand it, you know, like he starts to in the movie and then
they kill him off and they're like, oh, we might bring you
back. You know, they, they just seen
in interviews, they were like, oh, we're going to bring you
back later. And he's like, when Days of
Future Past came out, I figured,Nah, not going to happen at this
point. He was right.
I mean, he jumped ship and DC istreating him way better.
(06:33):
That's it's, it's kind of funny.It was like a little role
reversal with, even though it's technically different studios.
You had Fox Marvel, which is known for being shitty.
But it's, it's kind of funny 'cause after that whole Deadpool
comment, he's like, we'll treat you way better than those shit
fucks over DC. Yeah, they didn't.
(06:53):
He wasn't allowed to say DC because, you know, it's friendly
ribbing. You know, there used to be more
like back in the day, I think there was more like argument.
But now it's like with fandoms the way they are, you can like
both and no one's going to care.If you do care, then you're just
an idiot, you know what I mean? Like there's bigger problems in
(07:13):
the world to be mad at somebody over.
Oh, they're like Marvel. And there's DT and the Snyder
Cut. I like the Snyder Cut.
I'll be the first person to defend the Snyder Cut.
But if you're going to do weird shit, like you got to
acknowledge that he's not comingback.
If he does come back, great. It'd be awesome.
Hopefully they can, you know, let him do an Elseworld thing.
That'd be awesome. Great.
(07:35):
But at a certain point, you haveto acknowledge it's not, it's
not going to happen anymore, It's done.
Like if anything was going to berevived, it would be that.
But I mean, like, you know, in aworld that we seen Nicolas Cage
come back as Superman, yeah, we were robbed of that.
It was going to be filmed in Pittsburgh.
PPG building was going to be Lexcorp, by the way.
(08:01):
Yeah. Anyway, getting on from that, I
also went to go see recently thenew Fantastic Four and wow, like
that was I I liked it and it's best version of the team so far
remind me of the animated show Igrew up watching in the 90s.
Like later seasons, the early seasons sucks balls.
(08:22):
And be honest with you, if they have the baby blue suits and
everything, they terrible. But I mean, this was cool
because it's like they kind of like, you know, they ran through
like their beginning adventures, which was, you know, again, if
you're a fan of the team itself, you will get a kick out of that
'cause you're like, oh, I get tosee them like do things without,
(08:46):
you know, family and stuff, you know, not do things like, you
know, there's no kid. You know, the whole point of the
movie is that, hey, a kids coming and what is this kid
going to be? And if you know anything in the
comic, know anything about comicbooks, their kid is like God,
like I did not literally God, but he's like a God in their
universe. He rewrites reality, you know,
(09:06):
he's just OOPA fuck, you know what I mean?
But yeah, I mean, I thought the movie was good.
I thought they did Galactus badass way better than they ever
did in the second Silver Surfer. One stupid cloud.
This one they actually like put the dude in a suit and was like,
(09:26):
hey, we're going to do Galactus.And there's a couple like I kind
of want to see the movie in IMAXnow because I heard that
whenever Galactus shows up for IMAX, the screen actually gets
taller so you can fit Galactus on screen, which is that that's
a smart move. Smart move there, guys.
I like that it, it's weird. There's not really an IMAX
(09:49):
theater in Pittsburgh. There used to be at the Science
Center, but then they've now it's something different now.
I thought it used to be, it usedto be an IMAX, I thought, or
they called and I'm who knows. I had, I went to school at Beth
Center. You know, my teacher probably
got it wrong and I assumed it was right 'cause, you know, you
don't question teachers there. God, I, I, it's funny, I did
(10:14):
actually go take a ride past my old high school and it was
weird. I kind of got like a little, you
know, you kind of get a little emotional and stuff when you
ride past your school 'cause I can still like when you, I
couldn't tell you like a day. Like if you ask me in general,
like, hey, what was middle school like?
Couldn't tell you a day. The moment you drove by, I could
(10:35):
tell you so many different stories from just middle school
drove past the elementary thing.I could drive past the
elementary school and tell so many stories just from the
elementary school. And you know, I, I do kind of
like, it's nostalgic. I do wonder where, like a lot of
my, you know, old college friendor, you know, school, you know,
(10:56):
school friends went and everything.
I do kind of wonder where they went through it in their lives.
Couple I've ran into, it's kind of weird, like when you do run
into somebody from high school, 'cause like either one of two
things, either they're going to be a complete scumbag or their
life is going to be better than yours.
There's never just someone who'son par.
(11:19):
Like I remember I met a one friend up and he was just
telling me like, yeah, I just went through a divorce and I'm
like, well, that's one thing I have, you know, I kind of got a
one up on him there, you know what I mean?
But he also has kids where I don't have that.
So it could be a blessing and a curse.
I mean, it's kind of nice to like, you know, be responsible
(11:39):
for of somebody and it's also kind of nice to just not have
anything to worry about, you know what I mean?
That's what it's kind of What's fun about being single is that I
don't have to worry about someone getting mad at me if I
came home drunk. I don't have to worry about
someone being mad at me. If, you know, 'cause I forgot to
do something, you know, I only have myself to be mad at.
(12:04):
But then also, you get lonely sometimes.
Like sometimes, you know, I'm here by myself.
I like to pretend I have a dog, you know, just someone to talk
to. Just, you know, hey, what do you
think of that shit? And he just look, you know, and
I presume the dog just looks at me like, I don't know, dude.
I mean, you do the same thing with your dog.
What's the point of me just talking to my chair?
(12:25):
I'm pretending it's a dog. That just sounds crazy.
At that point, I'm just joking around.
Yeah. So what else has been going on?
I did go to my second rap concert, technically first, like
specifically like it's in the genre of rap.
The other one was Jelly Roll andPost Malone, but they kind of
(12:47):
did that country crossover. Can you really call it ran from
that point? You know what I'm saying?
Can you really tell with that? But now I went to go see Wiz
Khalifa, Sean Paul and De Baby. It's just fun to say like De
Baby, but I went to go see that show that that was actually a
(13:07):
really fun show. You know, I can't say what else
made that show fun, but that show was a really fun show.
Yeah. I'm, and it's weird, I haven't
been to star like in since last year, I think.
I think I went to a concert lastyear there.
I'm not sure 'cause I mean, that's the problem when you like
(13:29):
living in the city now, it's like, you know, I remember
living in, you know, Washington,PA and like, you know, when I
used to live at home with my parents.
Burgerstown. Never seen that far away, but
now you're in the city, you're like, well, I'm going to drive
out of there and I'm going way through much more trouble than I
did the other way. Because it was funny, like if
you, I actually knew a kid in school that he, I talked to him
(13:50):
the day of that concert and he got a DUI that night.
And I'm like, that's what I said.
If you're going to, if you're going to chance it out there,
that's the place. You know, if you think you have
drinking and driving skills, I dare you to run that one because
that is a terrifying run. Like you're going to, you're
going to be a mess that whole, that whole way trying to get
(14:14):
home because you're going to be,you're going to be looking over
your shoulder the whole time. You don't know if a car is a cop
or not. And they're sitting there just
waiting for you to cross that double line, waiting for you to
happen. I, I do wish there was better
ways to like, go to concerts, have fun and not have to worry
about getting home. Like I do kind of wish to drift.
(14:34):
They were like, hey guys, you know, you get a little too
messed up tonight, just crash out here.
You believe the door gates open, you just drive out in the
morning, you know? But I also understand why they
don't do that too 'cause, you know, idiots like, you know,
people I knew growing up would probably be doing Donuts in the
parking lot and leaving giant ruts.
(14:55):
Again, can't really blame him. Have fun, go off King.
Just I don't know, guys, let's see, I, I've been doing that.
I've been playing a lot of readyor not.
It's a new game that came out a SWAT tactical shooter.
I'm only three missions in because I haven't got, I don't
have a whole lot of time to playanymore.
(15:16):
I'm just either constantly on the run or you know, you just
got so much going on lately. You know, just between I, I
started a new job downtown and you know, you want to impress
with that. I've been trying to hit open
mics more. I need to get, I need to hit
more open mics. That's, that's definitely it's
(15:37):
been my goal this year. I haven't been doing it as much
just because. Also, if you're in Pittsburgh,
hey, the opportunities have gonedown a lot.
Like there's not as many open mics as there used to be either.
Bars of clothes change names. They're not interested in having
comedy there anymore. It's just a, it's a pain.
And then it's like, you know, there is some awkwardness going
(15:59):
to some mics, like, you know, you'll have that.
Yeah. I mean, it's just it's been
crazy lately. I do love the but I have been
playing that game, ready or not.It is just so intense.
Like they put real world like weapons in it.
You have the option whether theygo non lethal or lethal, me
(16:23):
depending on the crime. Let's go all out.
Like, hey, if there's a dead, ifwe had dead civilians here,
you're everyone's going you, you're complicit in this.
Like we're just we're not, we'renot going to spend taxpayer
money and and ready or not, OK, We're just this is old school
Western justice here. You know, I mean, that's, that's
how this is going down, especially when it gets like the
harsher crimes, like, you know, you get to the human trafficking
(16:44):
ring. They they go dark in this game.
And you know, at that point, hey, listen, you've committed
the worst crimes you can. What, what more do we need to
say at this point? I don't know.
I'm very much like a old school wet justice man.
I like, I agree. I agree.
Like, you know, you got to watchin some cases because hey,
(17:04):
there's always, you know, don't want to get the wrong person.
You don't want to do this. I get it.
But also at the same time, it's like we're spending money
feeding, you know, you we spent how much money do we?
I want to know the exact amount how much we spent taking care of
Charles Manson that we knew was never getting out of jail.
(17:26):
Knew it knew what this guy did was pure evil.
Like he didn't actually do it. He'd be convinced people to do
it. And my thing is this, how can
you even do can like how can youbust somebody on crimes like
that? Because, you know, I could dare
my buddy to go rob the store, but if he does it, it's on him.
Like he did it like he didn't have to listen to me.
(17:47):
I was just joking her. You know, he could have been
like, I was just joking around. I didn't think they were going
to do it. And he never even told them to
go there. Just go through and just make it
a helter skelter, you know, go crazy.
And it's funny. He wasn't even after her.
He was after, you know, he was after, he's after The Beach
(18:07):
Boys. Actually, there was a guy there
that like shit on his music and he was like, that's the guy I
want killed. And then they moved houses.
So like whoever was there, you get it, Like, you know, you're
getting it. I like I, I, I would love to
live in the world of Once Upon atime in Hollywood where it
flipped. The script was flipped on that
one. Talk about a wild, crazy movie.
(18:32):
By the way. Like that's I've seen they're
doing a sequel to that with, well, not sequel, I guess it's
spin off of Brad Pitt's character, the best character in
the movie, hands down. Like DiCaprio was good, don't
get me wrong, but he's also kindof a piece of shit.
And, you know, Brad Pitt's character beat up Bruce Lee,
(18:53):
which, OK, if you watch the movie that remember there's a
lot of people upset when that came out, like, oh, you know,
they can't believe it. Just no.
First of all, Tarantino is a fanof 70s cinema and fan of Kung Fu
movies. You think he's really going to
like humiliate Bruce Lee? The whole point of that arc,
(19:14):
that whole fight is to show the like Cliff Booth's like ability
to fight, like showing that, hey, this guy, like the whole
point if you, especially if you read the book version, if you
read the book version, they go into more detail explaining what
was going on, is that the difference between Bruce Lee and
Cliff Booth was as Cliff Booth was a killer.
(19:37):
Like, you know what I mean? Like Brad Pitt's character is
known to be like a killer in this universe.
Bruce Lee is a action movie starand but he can still fight.
He's just not going to take a life.
Brad Pitt's character, on the other hand, has no problem doing
(19:57):
it 'cause they go into like his history of like, you know, he
has killed before and it just doesn't talk about it 'cause he
just, you know, they don't really show that in the movie
that he's like that. They kind of hint at it with his
wife thing and he just like, buthe kind of laughed that off like
well, you know, she's kind of getting on my nerves, you know,
(20:18):
like and if you see it's what's crazy is is that the real world
comparison for that is like. I think it's Natalie Wood and
Christopher Walken, like it's the same thing.
They were on a boat. She just went overboard.
No one knows what happened. Did he kill her?
Did he not? I don't know.
I met the guy seem like a nice guy, but I don't know.
(20:39):
I, I didn't meet the guy that that allegedly killed her.
Shout out Robert Wagner. Allegedly.
That's what the the Hollywood says.
Who knows, she could have. Just fell off the boat.
It was is weird that Christopher.
Walken was also on that boat. And he don't talk about it.
(21:01):
Who knows? I mean, there's a lot of dark
secrets in Hollywood. They don't call it Holly Weird
for nothing. I do.
I mean, I, it is kind of interesting.
There's a lot of like Hollywood like mysteries.
I like there's George Reeves, like did he shoot himself?
Did someone kill him? No one knows.
I think they ruled it as a suicide.
You have the Black Dahlia murders, murder.
(21:24):
I think they kind of figured outwho did it, but they never
convicted him. But it was like he was a, he was
like a doctor in Hollywood. And it's, it's a pretty gnarly
crime scene. Like you can look the photos up
online. It's rough.
I'm going to warn you, 'cause it's the 40s.
Yeah, that's, that's an interesting one.
(21:44):
I think there's The Who shot Alfalfa.
That was a big deal. Well, big deal.
I don't think they ever found out who did that.
Like the original like. 1930s Alfalfa, trying to think of some
other big Hollywood mysteries. Well, you got Marilyn Monroe,
you know, did the mob killer, did the Kennedys have her
(22:05):
killed? How come no one asked for those
FBI files? Just saying the you, maybe you
won't find the Kennedy assassination files, but no
one's asking about Marilyn Monroe's.
Just saying, you know that there's details on it because
our government has confirmed that Watch is going to be a
conspiracy podcast now. I don't know, it's just weird
(22:27):
things to think about. I'm trying to think.
I will say when it does come to movies though, I like
Tarantino's because they do leaninto that practical, like a lot.
None of his movies really have CG in it, which I love.
Like, don't get me wrong, I likea good CGI mask 'cause I love
(22:47):
superhero movies. I got my window open because the
weather is nice in here. And motorcycle rode by or car
with loud pipes. We don't know yet.
Hard to tell. It's kind of nice to have the,
you know, especially in the like.
It's been so hot recently here in Pittsburgh and I'm recording
(23:08):
this the day before I post it. So I'm enjoying this 70° weather
right now. Let's see what else is going on.
Trying to think about some gamesI've been playing.
I haven't played Fortnite with some comics in a while.
It's been a while. And they've all just been either
working so much or, yeah, they got girlfriends now.
(23:30):
Or, you know, some of them have girlfriends.
Yeah, it must be nice. I don't know.
It's dating has been a weird onefor me because I've been.
I mean, I'm 32 and you know, nota lot of 30 year olds go out
anymore. I've been, I've been trying to
(23:52):
go out more like, you know, and try to meet people like, you
know, my age. But it's like where are the bars
that they go at 'cause I have not found, if anyone knows any
bars where all the 30 year old people hang out at, please send
them my way 'cause everyone's just like having families and,
you know, they, I get it, Like, you know, you, you get older,
partying is not fun anymore. And partying hurts the more you
(24:13):
get older. You know, no one, they've been
saying that for years. I've been listening to Hank.
He's been saying it. But yeah, I mean, yeah, you go
out and you meet a bunch of college kids, but it's like, the
heck, you know, this is just weird.
Like, you know, they're 10, you know, most of them are, you
know, younger than you. And then the, the personalities
(24:36):
don't match you. Like, why would you want to hang
out with someone who's just so much, like still acts like a
kid? Like you can't have a serious
conversation with him about things.
And that's nothing against Gen. Z or whatever.
I'm just saying that's in just in general.
Like I remember my brother at the time, I think he was my age.
(24:57):
No, he was a little bit older than me.
He's dating a girl. She was 25 and he was just
telling me like how, you know, at the time he was she was like,
you know, I want her. She wants me to move near the
city. She wants me to do all this
stuff. And he's like, I just want to
like, you know, I'm, I'm, you know, too old for that.
Like he goes party in the city was fun.
(25:17):
But now, you know, just as you get older, you just kind of want
to hang out. And I was like, I finally
understand what he means now by that.
Like, you know, now that I'm in his shoes 10 years later, like,
I get it. Like I like, trust me, I, I, the
only reason I even live closer to the city is 1, It's closer to
work and two, closer to doing comedy.
(25:39):
That's it. That's the only reasons why I
live in the city anymore 'cause if I wanted, you know, if I
didn't have to worry about thosetwo issues, I would live out in
the country again because it's so much calmer, it's so much
nicer, it's so much quieter. You don't have to learn about
someone breaking into your car. If it does, you have to worry
about the crackheads that live in town.
You know, it's different story. I liked Washington, PA, too, but
(26:04):
the problem was, is that, you know, they totaled my car.
You know, the heathens of that town totaled my car and the
police did nothing about it. They were just like, your
insurance will take care of it. Good job, fellows, good job.
And then they wonder why, like, you know, just no one has
respect for anyone in that town. That's why.
(26:25):
Because you do that shit. That's nice.
I would get, you know, I'm goingto have the people of
Washington, PA hate me now. I would say the same shit if I
was on Joe Rogan's podcast. I would, I would just like, I
hate the town I come from. This place sucks balls.
You know, there's some cool things about Washington.
(26:46):
You know, we had the Little League world's Pony League
world. Series.
I'm like, why would you bring that here?
Imagine like you're in Japan busting your ass off, like to
play baseball. And they're like all for the
chance to play in Washington, PA.
Yeah, we don't even have a McDonald's play place anymore.
(27:07):
They got rid of that. You know, McDonald's isn't fun
anymore. I like the theory online.
Or someone was just like, maybe just 'cause we got older.
Like that's why it sucks. It's not that you don't see the
mad. You don't see Ronald McDonald
anymore. I'm like, no, it's because they
realize, hey, we're making kids fat and we need to stop making a
marketing towards kids. We just need to market towards
(27:27):
adults and use the Olympics a lot.
I don't know, it's like, or you could just make every make
everything healthier. How?
How is that such a problem? You know what I mean?
Let's complain about the problems here.
But then it's like, well, you start at the source.
(27:48):
If you know fast food's such a problem, then why don't you just
make healthier fast food? Or you know, if this, you know,
if you, if you change it from the source, it, it, it affects
everything down the line. Don't ask people to do it on
their own because that's not going to happen.
(28:09):
But hey, my guys, my timer's going off.
Let me check the camera real quick and we'll piggy right back
to talk about some more weird things that are, you know, host
thoughts, I guess. And we're back.
Oh boy, I forget what we were just talking about.
I literally just went to go pee.Come back and sit down.
(28:31):
I think it was about dating or whatever.
Yeah, dating sucks in your 30s just mostly because you don't
know where people are at anymore.
And I don't know, just it's weird.
You know, I have this hard problem too.
And I, everyone tells me how much it's my own fault where you
look on like Hinge because you know, that's where you,
(28:55):
everybody's like, that's where you go to me dating serious
dating people. And you go to Hinge and you keep
seeing like all these women thatare getting like having their
photos taken there in Europe andall that stuff.
And then you got me who's just like, here's a selfie of me in
the bar in Pittsburgh, you know, where I'm half drunk.
You know, I have no good selfiesto use on dating apps, which
(29:17):
might be another problem. But it's like, you know, I see
people like that and I'm just like, your standards are so
high. I can't, I can't hit that, which
a lot of people are going to say, well, that's, you know,
that's your own negative self talk.
I'm like, no, I'm telling you right now, I can't take you to
Italy. Like, you know what I mean?
That's just not going to happen.Like I would have to save up
forever just to go there. And I don't really want to go to
(29:40):
Italy. Like I'll be honest with you.
Like if I'm going to go to Europe, I'm hitting one place
and one place only and I'm hitting up Ireland.
That's it. I just want to go hit Ireland,
drink beer in a real Irish pub and listen to people with
accents talk to me all day and call me the C word a lot.
(30:01):
Yeah. I really don't.
You have no desire to really. Like, I don't know.
Australia would be cool. I would.
I would go to Australia. I would go to Tokyo.
Tokyo would be cool. Like, Japan in general would be
awesome. Mostly because I'm a Wolverine
fan and it's like, I just want to get it, you know, as you can
see the laws. No, I just, I would love to go
to Tokyo. I think that would be cool.
(30:21):
Like just to see like the neon and everything.
I think that would be pretty sweet.
Trying to think of other places I would travel to.
Def trying to think where where else I could really go.
There's a whole lot like like inthe city when it comes to like
(30:43):
the States and stuff. Like I would go to like, you
know, I'd love to go to Nashville again.
I'd love to go to Austin, Back to Austin.
Florida really never impressed me.
I mean, it'd be cool to go to Miami, not going to lie.
It would be awesome to go to Miami.
It would be cool to go to LA just to see LA, just to say I've
(31:05):
been in LA. But like, I don't know, there's
just not a lot that really excites me.
Like I would think I'd more wantto travel the US because the USI
feel like you can get a little bit of the world all over in
just the United States. And I think it's because
everyone brings their stuff here, like brings their culture
(31:28):
and stuff, which is awesome. Like I've never been like angry
because I've seen someone else'sculture like out in the world.
I think it's awesome. Like, you know, it's I'm like,
hey, share foods with me. I'll share my foods with you.
Like, you know, why not? And just, you know, hey, like
(31:49):
we're all humans. We all have cool things to share
from with each other. Why not share it?
Why not like, you know, embrace, like, you know, different
things. Hey, I mean, what work?
What's a great foot style? Like, you know, footwear in one
country could be awesome footwear to wear here and we
(32:09):
don't know it because hey, we'reyou're shutting people out.
You know what I mean? Like, no, I just, I like it when
I love that we're a, a melting pot and that everyone can
benefit from each other's cultures.
Everyone can benefit from something.
You know, there may be 1 downside to one culture that's
an upside and somebody else's oronce, you know, I don't know, I,
(32:32):
I try to have an innocent view on looking at things, but I feel
like even if you have an innocent view on work looking at
things, someone's going to come along and tell you that you're
wrong for thinking that way. And I'm sorry, if you have
nothing malicious behind a thought, what's wrong with it?
You know what I mean? What's wrong behind it?
You know, unless you're doing weird stuff, then yeah, then
(32:53):
it's then it's a malicious thought.
You know what I mean? You know, if you're doing weird
stuff and you're like, well, I wasn't really doing bad behind
it. I was actually going to be this.
It's like, it's still weird, dude, don't do that, you know,
don't cross a line. I don't know which could.
That made no sense what I just said.
I'm going to. Be honest with you, this is me
rambling into nothing. I'm trying to like, open up and
(33:16):
be more real. Let's see, trying to think of
things to talk about. I'll tell you what, something
really, really has been bothering me lately and I'm not.
And, and I was never a huge fan,but the death of Ozzy Osbourne
has really bothered me. And I don't know if it's because
(33:36):
you're watching his family's reactions and everything, or
it's just like, you know, there's some people in pop
culture that are like immortal, like, you know, I mean, like
these people are icons and pillars.
I imagine what I'm feeling now with Ozzy dying is the same
thing that people felt when likeElvis died or you know what I
mean? Like, 'cause it's, he's such a
(33:57):
like a mainstay and a pillar, like, and I'm not getting that.
Wasn't a huge fan. Couldn't tell you saying I
can't, you know, sing every songword for word.
You know, I have a couple favorites.
I've been listening to a lot of my mom coming home and No More
Tears. For some reason that's been
really just jamming in my head. What else is there?
(34:21):
I've been listening to a lot of.Yeah, I've been listed a lot of
like Ozzy songs on YouTube. The one I really like, and I'll
probably get crap for saying this, is the Post Malone
collaboration with Ozzy when they did the Take what you want
from me, Take what you read from.
Yeah, I love, I love that song. Or as the Wikipedia says, shown
(34:47):
or mostly known for, like the trailer for The Crow.
Oh God, that was that was terrible.
I tried to watch it. It's just too, it's too crazy
for me. I don't I feel like that's
something that it needed a remake, but you should have
stuck, stuck to the traditional look, like, you know, go with
(35:11):
the white skin and the makeup and everything.
Go with all that. Like you can't just half ass.
If you're going to reboot something, you can't half ass it
and try to like we're going to try this new mutt.
Like you know when they did thatwith RoboCop, this all black
suit? No, the suit was fine the way it
was. You had the original costume Use
(35:31):
it, you know, I mean use it. I actually like that RoboCop
reboot by the way. I didn't think it was a bad
movie. It definitely needed to be an R
rated movie though. That's and I heard Amazon
supposedly has the rights now sothat they can make it into ATV
series, which I think they've done RoboCop on TV before and
(35:53):
it's it's all right and it's RoboCop, you know, I mean, what
else really can you do with the story?
It's you just him fighting bad guys.
Like I love the video game. The video game is awesome.
I'm playing the DLC right now too, which is I was I like that
game because it's like you're playing as a tank, like, but
(36:13):
you're playing as what RoboCop would be in the movie.
You're just going to just decimate just St. thugs and
mercenaries and it's kind of cool.
Like the new DLC. They basically trop trap.
You're basically doing the raid with RoboCop, which is seriously
like do that as a movie. Like that's what I liked about
like the Judge Dredd reboot. It's literally just them in a
(36:38):
giant tower and Dred has to killa bunch of dudes to get to the
top. You know, it's, I feel like you
should do that with RoboCop. They already did technically in
the game, but I would rather I'dlike to see it as a movie or
show or something. I do like stories like that.
Right. Hey, we're going to put it in
one location cause one, you don't have to make many sets.
(37:00):
It's just the same apartment building over and over.
You just redress it. Boom, done 'cause it in
buildings like that, they're allthey're all supposed to look the
same. So yeah, I think I wish we had
more like. Movies like that.
The Dread movie doesn't get the love it definitely deserves.
Like, Carl Oberyn smashed that role.
(37:25):
Yeah. I'm trying to think about
anything else that's been going on with me personally.
I did start a new job in the city, in the city of Pittsburgh.
So I'm over by, like, the north side of the city.
And it's kind of crazy because like, you know, I'm used to
working like and secluded, like, you know, places where you're
(37:47):
like, you know, you're not really, the public doesn't have
access to where you're at unless, you know, when I worked
retail, different story. But, you know, but I'm so used
to working like in a building and like out in the middle of
nowhere, really. And just, you know, you go
there, park, go inside, whatever.
Well, this one, like you're in the city, so you have like the
(38:09):
city. And down the street from my job
is a rough part of Pittsburgh. When I say rough part of
Pittsburgh, like there's literally drug dealers and sex
workers just hanging out on thisstreet.
Like I literally was walking into the office and I look on
the ground below me and there isa needle on like getting ready
(38:31):
for me to walk into the door. And I'm making jokes about.
I think it's hilarious. But I mean, yeah, it's a serious
problem. Like, you know, it's, it's kind
of crazy like that that's happening.
Like I said, I I don't, I don't like to talk.
Yeah, it's not my it's not my job, company's job.
(38:52):
Like it's not their responsibility.
And that is the city itself. And the city of Pittsburgh has
just been kind of crazy when it gets to that.
Like they just kind of like let problems pile up.
And then when it becomes too bigof an issue or when something
bad happens, goes. We didn't know this was a
problem. Really.
Have you seen Southside? Southside is a big problem.
Like I mean, I can't how many times I got approached in
(39:16):
Southside like, you know, peoplelike either they're asking you
for money and like I have no problem wanting to help someone
who actually needs help. That's not an issue.
But dude, I know, you know, like, like, you know, I
literally was watching the dude. He's just sitting there just
nodding off and here like, I mean, this guy's clearly just
(39:41):
just got high, you know what I mean?
Like it's sad. I think it's, it's, it's sad.
That, you know, people are dealing with this, you know, I
don't know what. You do look at.
People sometimes when they're going through it, like what
happened in your life that led to this and like, you know,
could have been prevented. And, you know, what could we
(40:01):
have done to help? And you know, we do become a
little like, I've noticed that though the world has become less
empathetic towards things. And becoming empathetic to the
stupidest things like I see people were mad recently over
this whole Sydney Sweeney jeans ad thing, 'cause you know,
(40:21):
blonde hair, blue eyed, she has perfect jeans.
And it's like, first of all, great pun that's hilarious.
You know, from a, from a dark point of view, that's hilarious.
And to like, I mean if you actually.
Thought about like. You're trying to sneak Nazi
symbolism into an ad. I feel like that's if you're
(40:45):
going to that would be a good way.
But at the same time, it's like,I don't think anyone thought of
that. If they did, first of all, they
were like, dude, this is going to be hilarious.
And the dark thoughts that are like, you know, like either he
had a dark sense of humor. He was like, dude, this is going
to be funny. Or it actually is a kind of a
parody because one, it just shows you like how nobody takes
(41:05):
the Nazi seriously. No one takes these guys
seriously like, oh, that's the perfect genes.
Cool. We're going to make fun of that
in a gene ad. Like I'm kind of wondering like
what the H, you know, what the Hman thought?
What it, what he would think seeing that ad now.
I'm pretty sure he'd be like, what the fuck, Like I'm mad.
(41:26):
And I would just laugh, 'cause you know, he deserves it.
Like you're an evil person, dude.
You deserve all the bad. You know, you should be made fun
of repeatedly forever throughouthistory.
And sometimes, like when you seepeople like that, like I do,
like I said, that's another person where you're like, we
wonder what the fuck was going through your head?
(41:47):
Like what, what made you think that that was an OK thing to do?
Like who's like, I don't know. I just like, even if like, you
know, I've seen like where people get like, well, you know,
this person was mugged one time and that's why they feel this
way. And it's like, yeah, but that's
dumb. That's kind of not a good
excuse. Because one person did something
(42:07):
to you doesn't mean everybody else is guilty for it.
You know, I mean, that's just iswhat it is.
You know, it's kind of like, youknow, saying all gingers have no
souls. Well, just because one didn't
doesn't mean that the rest of usdo, you know.
And, you know, just because one of us sold still a soul, that's
different. I think that I think the whole
ginger ginger stealing souls thing just comes from the also
(42:30):
the stereotype of gingers give good.
Head I think. 'Cause you know that I've heard
people like, well, listen now that it'll, they'll suck the
soul right out of you. That would make better argument
at that point. I don't want to be known as a
soul stealer. I'm just saying, you know, like
Liam Neeson, I do have a particular set of skills, but I
(42:50):
don't want that particular set of skills.
That's just mostly on my point. I don't know.
We're just we've talked. About so much right now, this
is. Who knows this, this one, who
knows if this one's going to getme in trouble or not?
I don't, I don't know. And I really kind of just, I
don't care. I'm, I'm tired of just, you get
(43:13):
tired of walking on egg shells with people and you just want to
be funny. You just want to make people
laugh. I, I want to bring joy to you
people. I want to make people happy with
what I do. And it's hard to be, to make
people happy when you yourself aren't.
That's, that's something I've like struggled with because
(43:37):
I've, you know, it's hard. Everyone says that you have to
find happiness in like your own way.
And I've, I've tried using different things to like make me
happy and it doesn't work. I don't know how to be happy.
I don't know if there's a way for me to be happy.
(43:59):
I'm trying to figure that out because right now if I look at,
you know, I look into the world and it's not a happy place.
It's very miserable. The world is a lot.
Darker place than I thought it was ever was.
I used to have one view of the world where I think most I
thought most people were good and the rest, you know, there
(44:20):
was only just a few bad people. I think I'm starting to realize
that most people in the world are bad and there's a few good
ones out, you know, I, that's why I start.
That's the way that feels like the world is, you know, like,
you know, people ask you your opinion about Israel and Gaza.
I don't have a opinion about Israel and Gaza.
(44:42):
I don't me personally, I just think it's sad people are dying.
And I think that's a fair thing to say.
You know, I mean, I do think oneside's going too overboard.
And then there's also the other side that just, you know, I feel
like, well, the other side's notreally doing anything.
It's just a few people on that side that are poking the bear
and it's like we could poke in the bear and they won't, you
know, this won't happen, you know what I mean?
(45:04):
But then also at the same time, stop fucking with people, you
know what I mean? Like they're not doing anything.
Leave them alone. So there's that.
So it's like I you don't you almost want like there's a scene
in the new Superman movie, right?
Where Superman, like this is a huge argument in the movie.
(45:25):
I hope I have enough time. OK, I do have enough time to
talk about this, so I'm going totalk about this.
So there's a scene in the movie where Superman saw a world
conflict. And this conflict is kind of
like used, like it's almost likeRussia invading Pakistan.
That's how they kind of set it up in this movie.
And like, Superman just flies in, smashed a few tanks, smashed
(45:53):
a few planes and goes, you're not doing this.
It's wrong. Stop.
And the world gets mad at him because who?
Told you to. Fly over there and say
something. How about if I was Superman, I'd
have been like, how about fuck off?
Because you're telling me that Ishould stand by, watch innocent
(46:14):
people get killed for what reason here?
For what reason are we doing this?
And it's like, can you prove anything that you're saying?
Because if you can prove it, 100% will back your play.
Like, you know what I mean? Like that's what, you know,
that's how they were treated in the world.
But it's like, you know, but that's kind of like how I feel
(46:36):
about it. So I feel like that you almost
need like somebody to get in between and say, all right,
you're done. You're stopped.
Like you're stopping this. You're not going over there,
you're not going over there. Sit down, shut up, both of you.
And I'm only saying that to likethe, you know, the people who
are like keeping the conflict going.
I'm not saying that to anybody, like who's suffering because
(46:59):
those are the people who I'm taught who I'm mad.
Like those are the people. The reason why I'm mad is that
the people are suffering, are dealing with it.
And I don't know, I just hate seeing people suffer.
I don't know. Just weird things.
I, you know, again, weird thingsI think about, but no, I mean,
it's, you know, I try to have a balanced viewpoint on things
(47:23):
where it's like I, I know what'sright and what's wrong and you
know, if you're causing pain to others, you know, that's wrong,
but. I don't know, you know, I mean,
(47:44):
it's just, you know, I do think it's sad what's, what's going on
with people and I, I don't know how to bring comfort to that.
But I, you know, I, all I know is I can try to make you laugh
and that's, that's all I got, you know, I mean, I don't have
much anything else. I could tell you funny stories
about me. I can make jokes about me kind
(48:06):
of being a fat guy 'cause, you know, you lost weight, but
you're still fat technically. Like, you know, if I take Abmi,
it's going to still say. Obese.
You know, it doesn't matter how much I hide it from my with my
bigger shirts. So like, you know, you're just
trying to, you kind of just wantto make if I can get a smile out
of somebody, I've done my job. You know what I mean?
(48:28):
Like there's so much weighing people down and stuff.
You know, it's, you know, heck, if I go into the bank at work,
I'm trying to make people laugh. If I go, you know, if I'm going
to McDonald's to get, you know, pick up food, like I'm trying to
make them laugh. I'm trying to make everyone
laugh. I'm I love going to the doctor.
Nice. The fire alarms going off again
(48:49):
down the street. I live down the street from a
Firehouse and the every time like this, it picks it up on
here. It's awesome.
I was kind of wondering if it would like last episode, but I
was listening back and I heard it kick off and I'm like, nice.
It's cool, 'cause it's like at 3:00 in the morning, this thing
will go off and you're just, youknow, it's just, yeah, I think
(49:19):
that's what they meant when theysay, you know, it's time to call
the way ambulance, you know, andBruce Willis movie.
I don't know, guys. Like I said, I mean, I'm not
good at solo episodes and then Istart talking about real things
and then people are like. You need to be.
Funny on your solo episodes? Well, I don't.
(49:39):
Do I need to be funny sometimes?I mean, is Theo Von always
funny? I'm trying not to be more.
I'm trying to be less depressivewhen I do solo episodes, which
is very hard for me to do again because I don't know how to be
happy. I'm trying to figure that out.
It's it's it's hard. And like I said, I've learned
(50:00):
things in therapy that I understand makes it harder to be
happy, harder to feel happy. You know, I don't.
Yeah, I just, I don't. I don't, I, yeah, it's, that's a
hard thing to, to find. And I don't know, it's like,
(50:25):
what does make you happy? And it's like, I like being
around people. I like being around my friends
and stuff, but my friends are too busy for me, which is fine.
I mean, that's just that's life and I mean they got but they got
cooler things to do than talk tome.
(50:45):
They got way, but they got way better things to do.
They got families, they got other friends way better friends
out honestly than they do, you know, than they have for me, you
know, and like you know, a lot of my friends have gotten
married. Like I said, they have families
now and you know, they don't have time to hang out and I get
it. But you know, then you have your
(51:08):
own family, but again, they all have their own things going on.
You know what I mean? Like, it's, it's funny.
They're always like, you know, why don't you come?
You know, how, how don't you come around?
It's like, well, what's going on?
Like, you know, I mean, I need areason to come down here.
I can't, I can't just stop what I'm doing 'cause I'm, I'm trying
to move forward on my, you know, this career, do this and, you
(51:28):
know, I get it. Like, you know, people want to
argue like, oh, well, no one listens to that thing anyway.
You're like, I don't care. One of these days, maybe someone
will and maybe I can help somebody and maybe I can make
someone smile and maybe, you know, make some, you know, keep
someone here a little bit longerthan what they could have been.
So if that means, you know, not coming around as much, then
(51:51):
that's what it is. I mean it's.
Don't get me wrong. I mean it.
I. I wish I could be around them
more too, but then I also know that I wish I could be around
(52:13):
them more too. I just know that it would be
like, I, it's not, I don't want to say it's not progressive for
me, but it's like I, I feel likeI, if I, if I'm around here
more, I'm going to get stuck andI can't get stuck with what I'm
doing. I, I need to keep pushing
forward. I need to keep moving ahead
(52:33):
because it's like, I mean, when I when I live, I always.
Felt like I was stuck. Like you couldn't move forward,
like, you know, you can't meet anybody because you can't go
outside the boundary. And now that you're outside the
boundary, it's like, well, I, I want to go back where it's safe.
But at the same time, if I'm, ifI'm Outback, if I'm out, if I'm
(52:56):
out here, you know, I, I need to, I need to live life because
it's like I meet people and they, they have way more life
experience than I do, you know, and I don't know guys very
almost hit in an hour. So still had some longest solo
episode I've done, even though alot of it's just me struggling
(53:17):
to get words out. But yeah, since you know, this
