What happens when a 19-year-old hunter sets up a tree stand in the quiet woods of Kittery, Maine — only to encounter something that tears it to pieces days later? In this chilling episode, we sit down with Tim, an outdoorsman from New Hampshire, who shares the full story of a 1989 encounter that still haunts him to this day. You’ll hear what it’s like to have something upright, massive, and loud walk up behind you in the twilight woods — and what it feels like to come back later and find your entire setup shredded, with a single reddish-brown hair left behind.

And in the second half of the episode, we’re joined by a Georgia resident who lived at ground zero during one of the most controversial moments in Bigfoot history — what most people consider to be the 2008 "Bigfoot in a freezer" hoax. But what he shares isn’t about a hoax — it’s about what happened in Rex, Georgia, when the media storm descended, armed men filled the woods, and the neighborhood knew exactly what was living in the creek. From laughing hunters tangled in vines to government officials shutting everything down — this is the side of the story you’ve never heard before.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're listening to BIGFA Society and I'm Jeremiah Byron. In
this show, we go beyond the campfire stories to bring
you first hand encounters from people who say they've seen
something impossible. From backwoods trails and remote mountain haulers to
quiet farms and crowded highways. The stories come from everywhere,
and each one leaves us with more questions than answers.

(00:20):
These are the voices of the people who've lived it.
To settle in, because today you'll hear another account that
just might change the way you see the woods forever.
So stay with us, all right, Big for Society. You've
got the privilege of talking to Tim today. Tim is
an outdoors men from New Hampshire who reached out to
me after hearing Alex's show about bear Brooks State Park

(00:42):
in New Hampshire. So welcome to the show, Tim. How
are you doing today?

Speaker 2 (00:48):
Good? How you doing doing great?

Speaker 1 (00:50):
It's always you know, as I said Alex's show, it's
always great to be able to talk to someone from
New England as it is kind of a rare occurance.
So very very happy to have you on the show today.
But you know, I want to make sure that we
make the best of our time. Today, Tim, feel free

(01:10):
to take us back to where you were and what
was happening to you when you had this experience.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
Yeah. Absolutely, So this was back in nineteen eighty nine,
and it was actually and Kidd remained. So my fiance
and I at the time, we had rented a house
not too far from one not too far from ninety five,

(01:38):
not too far from two thirty six for those of
you who know the area. So this house that we
had run had a couple of acres of land that
we maintained and mowed, and then beyond that it was
about four acres of land that we did not maintain.
We didn't vot. It was basically field. So I'd come

(02:00):
home at night and there was always near all back,
and you know, I could see see the their eyes
in the headlights. And I was an avid hunter. I
had in New Hampshire. I was still actually registered vehicles
in New Hampshire. I was not a main resident. We
had just recently rand the house. But I decided that

(02:21):
I was going to do some scouting. I wanted to
hunt both main in New Hampshire that year. So it
was in October and I decided to go out scouting. Now,
from my backyard, you'd go through the area that we
maintained and then you'd hit the field. Then you hit
a little finger line of woods. It was about I

(02:44):
don't know, probably ten yards maybe fifteen. And beyond that
finger line was a power line. So I decided that
I was going to walk that power line. And it
was kind of damp, wet areas, and I had some
Cat nine kills stuff in it. So I walked the
edges of it and I got into an area where

(03:05):
there was hardwood, and I started seeing a lot of
deer sign and there was a lot, so I got
on a run. And this run was like I'll refer
it to like a New York style deer or even
a Pennsylvania style deer. And this thing was massive. I
don't think I found on that large since eighty nine.

(03:29):
So I did a little bit more scouting, came across
the stone wall, I went up and over the stone wall,
continue on probably about one hundred thousand the woods, and
I came upon an old cemetery and that was kind
of spooky because there wasn't any roads or anything leaving this.
It was just in the woods, and you know, I

(03:51):
respect it, so I stayed away from it, but I
didn't feel too easy about hunting around it, so I
went back towards the power line. Now, I decided on
an area where the deer run had come from the
power line, and it was massive, and I was going
to put a laddic span there. So that was my decision.

(04:12):
So I build my own ladd of stands. I use
sometimes eight foot, sometimes ten foot, sometimes twelve foot two
by fours pt and then I build a platform and
the platform. The two by fours that run alongside where
the platform goes are always longer than the platform itself

(04:33):
because it leans up against the tree and hugs it,
so then you can run a strap around it. And
it's just that particular day, that particular stand that I
had built for that area was actually a ten footer
and I didn't use screws. I used nails on everything.
Back then. I was also nineteen years old, so I

(04:56):
was young. But it was about three days after I
had the stand built that I decided I was going
to go out and set the stand up. And it
was getting towards a dusk, but it was getting to
anybody who haunts kind of like them all right, this
is prime time. So I went out and set the

(05:17):
stand up, and I decided that I was going to
hunt it, well not hunted, but just stay there and scout,
just to see if I saw anything come through. I
decided I was going to sit until dusk. So I
got up in that ten foot stand and I had
the stand was kind of it was facing southeast towards

(05:41):
the back of my house, so I was facing that way.
And I wasn't there for very long, probably twenty minutes,
maybe half an hour, and I could hear something coming
from the north and it was coming directly. It was
coming directly south, so it was the way I was
set up. It was coming off of my left shoulder,

(06:02):
so and it wasn't quiet. It was I think it
almost like sounded like it was deliberately making noise. So
I looked over at it and I couldn't see it
for a couple of minutes, and then I saw it,
and that's when I decided that there was no way
I was looking at this thing again. And this thing

(06:25):
was walking upright and it scared the daylights out of me. So,
being nineteen years old, I was I tried to hide
from it. I put my back directly up against the tree,
tried to bring my shoulders in, and there was no
way I was looking at it again. So I thought,

(06:46):
in my mind, if I looked at it again and
it saw me, that was probably gonna be the last
thing I looked at, be honest with, Yeah, So it
got louder. It got louder. It came directly in behind me.
I don't know how far, or I'll guess forty yards,
maybe fifty, and it was still walking south and then

(07:08):
it got to the point where it was almost towards
the power line, and then it started walking southwest away
from me, and I waited and waited and waited because
I could still hear it, still hear it, still hear it.
Finally I couldn't hear it anymore, so I decided I
better get down before it comes back. And I decided

(07:30):
that I wasn't going to go directly out to the
power line because I didn't know where this thing was.
But I just knew I didn't want to look at
it and I didn't want to see in me. So
I got back to the house never said a word
to my fiance. For days, I thought about it, and
I couldn't wrap my head around it. I mean, it
was it was not supposed to be out there. So

(07:53):
the more I thought about it, the more I was like,
this is crazy. I got to I got to figure
this out. You know, there's got to be an explanation
for it. So I decided to go back out there.
So I got out work early one day and I
went back out there. My tree scand that I had

(08:15):
built for that spot was completely destroyed. It was got,
it was shredded. It was in like three foot seconds.
It was totally annaligated. So I'm looking at this thing
and I'm looking around and I'm you know, footprints there was.

(08:38):
There was quite a few. I'm looking at it and
I'm like, you gotta be kidney. Everybody thinks bigfoot. They're huge.
They were probably a thirteen boot, maybe fourteen boots, I
don't know, but it was the toes in the width
of the print. So if you took your two thumbs
and put them together side by side, that was about

(09:01):
the size of his big toe with wise or I
don't even know if it was a hair or she
or whatever. I don't even know if there was more
than one, but the pinky toe on the print was
about the size of your thumb, so it was. It
was pretty scary, and I'm thinking, if this thing can

(09:21):
do this to my tree stand, whatuld it do to
me if I got a hold of me. So I
decided I was going to leave and never go back there.
I left the stand right on the ground in shreds,
and I got oh and another thing too. When I
was looking at the stand on the ground, there was
a hare on it. On one of the splinters, there

(09:43):
was a hare and the hair was probably like six
inches long, and it was reddish brown with white at
the very end of it. And I only found that
one hair, but I did see that one hair. So
I got out of there. It went back and I
never went into that spot again. And the amount of
deer signed in there was I don't know if I

(10:08):
really can't tell you why there was so much deer
sign in there that I saw, but it was. It
was unbelievable. Still today, I just can't wrap my head
around it. I've never ever had another experience like that anywhere,
and I've also been injury in New York Letchwest State Park.

(10:30):
I haunted that for years with a buddy of mine,
I've been lucky enough to hunt northern New Hampshire for
moose and for moose and Maine. Let I screwed that up.
You get it point though, But yeah, so I've I've
been in the woods a lot since that, since nineteen
eighty nine, and I've never come across anything that even

(10:51):
similar to that experience that I had in Kiddery.

Speaker 1 (10:55):
That is wild. So you actually so you saw it
as a bat. I mean roughly that's about a maximum
of like two tennis courts away, if we're saying for
you to fifty yards, I believe.

Speaker 2 (11:09):
Yeah, yeah, he came in behind me, whatever it was
came in behind me. And like I said, it almost
sounded like it was deliberately being excessively lowed to intimidate me,
to scare me. Well, if that was his intention, as
it worked, it was. It was really, I mean it

(11:32):
just and in nineteen eighty and I nobody talked about
stuff like that. They're starting to talk about it now.
That's why I am. I still only told a handful
of people until this, until today. But you know, you
look at like the ex ranger in Massachusetts. I think
it's squaws squatcha Chusetts he's an ex park ranger and

(11:54):
I saw him on YouTube and heard his story. And
I tell you, if anybody, if you guys that are listening,
you haven't heard or you know, caught up on the
spots to choose its story with a with that ex ranger,
it's really interested in what he witnessed, what he went through. Yeah,
he was on patrol and refused to basically go back

(12:16):
in that area. I think it took a long time.
And then I think he wouldn't even go back in
that area if it was dark. Absolutely, it's scared the
daylight's out of them. But it made it that experience.
Even though I can't wrap my head around it, you
don't know, I it's I'm still in awe about what happened. It.

(12:37):
It's got to make you a believer because you know,
your eyes don't lie. And when this thing was, it
wasn't a bear. If people are out there saying that's
a bear, there's no way, no way. And you know,
Kiddy's a nice little town. I mean, you got Kiddy
Drayton Post. You get a lot of nice areas out there.
And you know, for anybody that knows that area, you

(12:59):
know one and two thirty six. Those were all within
a couple miles of why this happened.

Speaker 1 (13:05):
To me, which is wild to think about. I mean,
because you've got all those shops in Kiddery and just
to think that a few miles away could be what
you experienced that day. So you saw the hair on
your tree stand, did that match up with what the
actual creature looked like when you saw it walking?

Speaker 3 (13:28):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (13:29):
It was. It was that in color, I'd say, definitely, yes.

Speaker 3 (13:34):
Thank goodness.

Speaker 1 (13:35):
Can you remind me of how how tall approximately it was?

Speaker 2 (13:41):
That's another thing too. I can't say precisely how tall
it was, but I know it was six feet anyway,
but I don't know if it was seven feet. I
don't know if it was seven and a half feet.
And I didn't stare at this thing because once it
registered in my mind that in my brain that this
thing was walking on two legs and it was it
was wide. That was another thing. I noticed it had

(14:02):
pretty good shoulders on it, and that's when I wouldn't
That's when I decided, I'm not looking at this thing again.
There's no way I'm gonna let it see me. All
I wanted to do was hide at that point. And
I know that sounds cowardly, but if you're if you're
not in that situation, you don't know what it feels like,
because you feel you feel like a you know, a

(14:25):
grain of stand I mean, you just you feel very small.

Speaker 1 (14:32):
Did it have any way particular about the way it
was walking from what you saw?

Speaker 2 (14:38):
I no, no, not that I recall. It just was walking,
not scha.

Speaker 1 (14:45):
Were you able to notice if there was a shape
to its head at all?

Speaker 2 (14:50):
I cannot say that. I can't, I can't. I'm sorry.
I'm sorry about that. I just didn't want to look
at the thing forever. I just didn't. I didn't want
it to see me.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
Absolutely, I totally understand. So after this this experience, how
long was it before? How long was it before you
mentioned to someone else what you had experienced that day?

Speaker 2 (15:16):
I just started talking about it in twenty three. Twenty
twenty three was the first time I came out and
started talking to people about it. And it was only
you know, like a handful of people that actually know
about it. And I was surprising it. You know, the
people who believed me, you know, they weren't like this

(15:37):
guy's on you know, he's a whack job, and no,
they actually people are out there and there's I mean,
there's a lot of things we don't know about out there,
so they accept it, you know. And those who know me,
I'm not making it out from and they know I'm

(15:58):
not making it.

Speaker 1 (15:59):
Out Yeah, And I think that's you know, it's important
to be able to share and hopefully you have you know,
the right or people have the right people in their
lives in order to share it to. So you waited
about almost twenty five years until talking about.

Speaker 2 (16:16):
This, Yes, I did it. It was actually more than that.

Speaker 1 (16:23):
Yeah, that's incredible.

Speaker 2 (16:25):
It was. And another thing too that I want to
bring up with with Alex in bay Brook State Park, Now,
the main road that runs through there is you know,
if anybody that knows that areas, it's called Deerfield Road.
Well off of that road there is a dead end
road and on that dead end there are cautioned Sasquatch

(16:48):
beware of Bigfoot signs all through that place because the
person who owns a piece of property down there puts
them up to warn people that there is a sasquatch
living out There's one. Yeah, that's on the dead endside road.

(17:09):
I don't want to give the name of the side road,
right because I don't want to cause attention to somebody
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (17:14):
But yeah, absolutely, have you talked to that guy?

Speaker 2 (17:18):
I have not. Okay, No, I have not.

Speaker 1 (17:23):
That's so interesting. I did not know that about that area.
But I mean it's weird because after I put that
episode out, I've had more people reach out about that
area than I have in a long time about one
particular episode. I was very surprised how how well received
that was by people that are like, yeah, there's stuff

(17:44):
that goes on about there, very weird.

Speaker 2 (17:47):
Oh yeah, yep. So Alex isn't the only one. I
don't believe it. You know, it's had experiences out there,
and that's a pretty big piece of woods. I mean,
it's it's it's huge. If you don't know in the area,
it's really it's really big.

Speaker 1 (18:04):
Absolutely, ye about the Kittery area. Have you ever heard
anyone else or talked to anyone else that has also
had experiences like yours in that same area?

Speaker 2 (18:17):
No, I didn't, Kiddery.

Speaker 4 (18:17):
No.

Speaker 2 (18:18):
I actually googled that to see if there may have
been and I didn't get anything in Kittery, Maine. But
of course up through the Appellationians in all that area,
there's been plenty of plenty of cases, but not that self.
And that's you know also, that was one of the
reasons why I decided to share this with everybody, because,

(18:38):
you know, when you had Alex on at the end
of the show, somebody had mentioned that, I don't know,
I forget who it was it. Did you interview Alex
or was it somebody else? No, that was me, Yeah,
that was you, Okay. So you mentioned the fact that
you don't hear cases, you know in southern Maine and

(18:59):
you know, northern in New Hampshire, especially southern New Hampshire.
So that's when I decided, well, I'm going to I'm
going to come out and share this with everybody. I mean,
it was nine, it was eighty nine. I mean you're
looking at fifty How many years was that, Agost It's
been quote a few thirty six years. It's been been

(19:20):
a while thirty six years. Yeah, more than that, Jim.

Speaker 1 (19:25):
I just want to say thank you for coming forward
and for sharing about, you know, what you experienced that
day back in eighty nine in the area where there
really hasn't been much talked about. So it's it's was
really important that you were able to get your story out,
and thank you for doing that. Would you ever want

(19:45):
to see something like that again? Or how has this
affected you after seeing it?

Speaker 2 (19:55):
I think if I saw something like that again, i'd
pay more attention than probably try to get pictures. But
and you know, back then, we didn't have the technology
that we have now. We didn't have cameras. Everybody's got
cameras on the phones. Now I would have taken some snapshots,
but you know, just back then, it didn't dawn on me.
The living was just to stay the heck away from
the thing. But now I would I would go about

(20:16):
it differently. Absolutely, I probably get more more people, more
people in there, more people involved. I make some phone
calls and try to figure out how we could you know,
I mean, the footprints that that they could have gotten
cast off. They you know, the area was kind of
the ground was soft, so the prints really showed up nicely,

(20:40):
and I didn't do anything about it, and I just
got out of there.

Speaker 1 (20:45):
Well, I mean, it's it's understandable because you're you're dealing
with with pretty much just getting out of there alive
and just focusing on that, so it is that. I mean,
that's no problem with with doing that in that situation.
And but yeah, when you do go back, you know,
maybe for a second time, the focus does change a bit.

(21:06):
But you know, Tim, I want to make sure that
you were able to share everything that you came to
the show to share today.

Speaker 2 (21:15):
Yeah, I believe I have. I believe I have. I
thank you.

Speaker 1 (21:18):
Thank you for the time, absolutely, and again, thank you
so much. It's even rarer to hear about things from Maine,
so I appreciate you coming on. But if anything else
ever does happen to you, feel free to reach out.
And I appreciate you coming on the show today.

Speaker 2 (21:37):
All right, absolutely, thank you.

Speaker 4 (21:40):
The following counts from a gentleman who came up during
a TikTok live.

Speaker 3 (21:44):
It has to do with a.

Speaker 4 (21:47):
Part of big foot history that is pretty polarizing. To
take this account as you will, it's interesting to hear
it from the side of a resident who lived in
the area and take it as a lesson of what
could potentially happen if there is a bigfoot that is

(22:12):
found in your area and the ensuing circus of media
and people coming down to that area that.

Speaker 2 (22:19):
Can occur so enjoy Hey brow, how are you, Sarah.

Speaker 4 (22:24):
Good to hear from you.

Speaker 5 (22:24):
Again that big foot hunting the weekend or something the
other day? Oh yeah, lesson, man, I had to do
some research. Man, I think back this between to the
two thousand and eight bigfoot hoax.

Speaker 2 (22:43):
It was Rick and.

Speaker 3 (22:45):
Matt.

Speaker 5 (22:46):
Okay, okay, now that happened right here in my neighborhood
where it was gonna show the bigfoot.

Speaker 3 (22:52):
They you know, they found it. So Rex, George.

Speaker 5 (22:57):
And I absolutely believe both of them stories about they
had the bigfoot and somebody came and took it.

Speaker 3 (23:05):
I'm gonna tell you how I know.

Speaker 2 (23:08):
Matt.

Speaker 5 (23:09):
I remember him man like I had a kid and
his daughter. Don't get me wrong, Befo, you get me right.
But they went to the same middle school. So I
remember him man like after school like I'll be out
in the car waiting on my kid, and he walked
his daughter back and forth to school. And at this
end of the school, at the end of the lot.

(23:29):
You remember when I was telling your early it's been
a few days ago, but we've seen that bigfoot run
down to baseball the football.

Speaker 3 (23:37):
He used to be with me.

Speaker 5 (23:39):
So he walked probably about three or four blocks from
that school that actually is where they had that the
big beating thing about the big they found the bigfoot.
But one day he was we were looking at man.
They had called like the animal control and the people
come out and they were like, well, we we think
it's a bear, don't you know if they get closer to.

Speaker 3 (24:01):
The school callers. But me and that guy used to
see it.

Speaker 5 (24:04):
So he was coming here walk the dogs, cause you
were like, you know, they got to do something about that.
Me and him like cause I walked to this school
every day, man, and that attacked man, my daughter. You
know it's gonna be a problem. So don't get me wrong,
for you get me right. I remember him going out
behind the school one day with a gun to try

(24:25):
to get it. He was going like every day to
try to get the thing.

Speaker 2 (24:29):
Man.

Speaker 5 (24:29):
So uh, I remember them calling the police and about
him at the school with the gun, and they told
him that he could use the gun or whatever you know,
and the big thing, but they let it go. And man,
one day he was telling me that, yeah, there was
things going on in life, and he say, man, you
know I want to be a police, a cop, And

(24:51):
I was like, man, a cop don't. I don't want
to be a cop no more. You know, we was
talking like that. So he came like, not too long
with my time. They went to that school back three
four years. He showed up one day in a police
car and I was like, man, you know, you really
changed everything good man. It was a smaller one at
that time, was small time. It's very big now. But

(25:12):
everybody was rooting for him.

Speaker 3 (25:14):
You know.

Speaker 5 (25:14):
My mom used to be like, man, you're doing great
and stuff like that. So when I heard that they
had that big foot host, the first thing that came
to my mind was he got that one in the
area we're talking about. But it was you know, yeah,
so when they had that, man, our whole community was

(25:35):
just covered with news media, big trucks, man, everybody all
over the world was here and right there. Way they did,
but it was gonna release it. It's the only thing.
There was a corner store man. Right now, it's probably bigger,
like a little small texicoast old store and the lady
used to make you know, bedskits and stuff like that.
And they used to have you know, kind of going

(25:55):
there and buy anything, you know, feed for you know,
dog food and stuff. So this is gonna This is
a trip right here. So I had a body shop
man for years, and I used to lead cards at
the store. So when all the people here, everybody in
the world is here, bro from Japan, you name it,
man and uh, they would come to my shop. It

(26:18):
was a rumor, but I knew it was true that
it was a sasquash. Up in my neighborhood. I stayed
at the beginning of a river, and the river comes
through a military base and that goes across the highway
and then it opens up again.

Speaker 2 (26:32):
So I stayed.

Speaker 5 (26:33):
I was living a neighborhood was like a horseshoe with
the creek going through the back through in the middle,
and everybody backyards was connected to the creek and the room.
Because I was telling you about the trash piles and
the landfill to see him alive up there, and the
rumor got out, this is it right in the middle
of everybody in the world is here. I met a

(26:56):
lot of people, man. So people were coming to my
shop and I'm like, uh, I'm such and such. We
want to get access to your lot because I had
the only lot that was clear all the way to
the creek. You know, the barographs some people somebody. Some
people went halfway or some people's like, you know, half
the way, but mine went all the way to the

(27:17):
to the end of the creek and that was separate
both sides of the wood that clear, and everything that
came through that had to go across that area of
the yards and you see, you know there whatever it
had to go across there to go back off in
the woods. So, man, it had got bad. Man, the
rumor had got out. The lady actually owned the store.

(27:37):
She was like, you know, telling them because they had
the cameras on her every day. She went from making
like twenty biscuits a week to like two thousand in.

Speaker 3 (27:45):
Just a couple of days.

Speaker 2 (27:47):
No way, So it was real.

Speaker 3 (27:49):
It was very loaded.

Speaker 5 (27:50):
And uh, Matt lives directly across the street from that store.
So the people kept coming, man, and it really got bad. Man,
it really got bad. But it was coming to my
mom house and stuff, and we were like, you can't
go through our yard and get to the lot.

Speaker 3 (28:06):
And it really got bad. So I met man.

Speaker 5 (28:12):
I can't don't know if I want to say his name,
but it's a lot of people. Man, I met so
many people. I mean it was man, it was twenty
thirty people a day trying to get to that lot.

Speaker 2 (28:21):
And I know this guy.

Speaker 5 (28:23):
They just say, well the man I can don't even
know the abbreviation, but the head of the association x
y Z. I met this guy and he's like he
was down here to see the big Foot and all
of this and that, and he heard rumors, well there
was one up up the street. And I told him that, yeah,

(28:44):
I know one that is in my neighborhood and it's
by this house. And if you go, when you pass
the house, you look behind the house, you'll see a
shot done leaning up against a tree. And I remember,
like I was older then, I was out in the
woods at that time. So I was coming through the neighborhood.

(29:04):
It was like a church on the back street from
the mom house. And I saw a bunch of kids
out there, and I saw a truck out there, and
I was like, uh, pulled up, like what are y'all
doing out there with that guy? And one of the guy,
one of little kids, said he told us he would
give us one hundred bucks that were showing where the
big Foot was at. And another one little guys, he's
like a little batter than they rested up me like,
I told him a thousand dollars. So I pulled over

(29:27):
the lot and I was like, a thousand dollars. I
pulled over to the lot and it was that guy
you remember talking to me at the store. I was like, yeah,
I remember talking to you, like I rode by last night,
right before I got dark, and I saw it. He
was like, I got another meeting somewhere up the road
or up north for something like that. Up the road
and he was like, I only got a few hours
to get it. So while we was talking, he was

(29:49):
showing us about this gun. He killed everything everywhere, and
he had a gun that was made. He showed me
a bullet. The kids were out there as well. He
was like, this will get them. And the bullet was
I remember. The bullet was the long it's from your
index finger to where your wrist started. I forgot what
it was, but it was a big long bullet. So

(30:09):
that this these people, I was them like everybody over
the world that remembered that two thousand and eight. But
for things they had to come across me because everybody
had to.

Speaker 3 (30:18):
They was.

Speaker 5 (30:19):
It was a scramble, and I remember him telling the
gun so right at the right when it got dusk.
He always come out at the corner of the woods
at that man house. This was the guy that left
the gun. It was like it was so big, got
tired of play some boys on his patio, and the
thing walked through there and crack his boys and stuff.
You remember them telling them one time he said, shit,
be about it's got to be about sixteen hundred pounds.

(30:41):
So the guy, sure enough he got darg and with
the kids, had to get ready to go anyway. He
was like, I was like, okay, it's coming around the corner,
so go around the corner.

Speaker 3 (30:50):
He's seen it.

Speaker 5 (30:51):
He should have seen his eyes. Man, somebody somewhere, a
big shot gonna remember this story. He probably have told
it to a lot of people, and today they get
back to him. Everybody can He ain't nine, he's not live.
So when I saw it, if one thing that I
knew about it, if if when you see one, if
it's kind of closed out and open, if he's got

(31:13):
his back turned to you, he already getting ready to
disappear on you. If you turned sideways, you can look
in the direction that he's facing. He's gonna be facing
another one his back turn. That's gonna be the train.
That's gonna be the line. There's gonna be one behind him.
They all like look like goose. One always got a
head up when the other ones got it down. They're
gonna be looking at the line. If you face the face,

(31:34):
you startled him, you ran up on him. So uh
he God, damn man, that man jumped down on his knees. Man,
I'm talking about he was digging up dirt. It's a
little creek to go o beside it. You know, had
much room without seeing them, and I saw I wanted
to turn his back on. He's getting ready to get done.
So he got up on him, man, and I was back.
I was some few yards back, and I heard him.

(31:55):
He was like, hey, man, I got a shot on
they nobody tree. And I was like, you can't shoot
up there, man, because this is where everybody live. That's
my mom lived there. You can't shoot in that dreation.
You gotta get You gotta shoot this way. And the
way that he's gonna shoot is gonna actually go through
the woods. If the tree don't stop it, go across
the highway and go up into the military to the

(32:16):
military base. But uh, he got up on the man.
It was steady falling the dark and was steady falling
on him.

Speaker 4 (32:22):
Man.

Speaker 3 (32:23):
He was like, man, I got a shot. Man, I
got a shot.

Speaker 5 (32:24):
Man right by the tree. And I already know where
get by a tree. It don't probably disappear or something
whatever we do behind a tree. I knew if he
got if he didn't shoot it before I got that tree,
it was gonna be no chance. So man, he came out,
it got dark on man that came out the woods man.
He was like, hey, man, that's the most you know.
It was the biggest thing that ever happened to him.
He was like, Man, I'm gonna remember you. I don't

(32:46):
know if I had internet or whatever, but he gave
me his name and he's a big shot, big shot
and uh he's like he had to go up North
Virginia or something like that. Man, and he shook our
hands and everything. Man, he went on about his business. Man,
it's been so long since I had to actually think.

Speaker 3 (33:01):
About this man.

Speaker 5 (33:02):
They kind of like they zapped me. But Witten, Man,
I know that guy. Actually remember being at that school.
Man one day we was just talking. You know, I'll
go pick up my son, and he's finna pick up
his daughter. And he was like, man, you know, I'm
finna do something. And man, he was like he came back. Man,
he had got cleaned up and had got his haircut
and stuff.

Speaker 3 (33:22):
Man. He actually looked like somebody would be from a
a Hollywood star. I was like, man, you look like man,
you look man, you look great. Man, like a Hollywood
star or something. Man. So he was a good guy.
And everybody involved in there after you read the other
you know, you read the stuff. Man. They watered it
down a lot because it was so much news press.

Speaker 2 (33:43):
Man.

Speaker 5 (33:43):
I mean it was hundreds of people in this neighborhood
and everybody trying to get up in this color sack
to get this big foot and regular I seen him
and Mark, you know, and they was always cool. And
when when I heard about that, man, I knew for
a fact that they got that they know about them.
They seeing it in my community. It's no big thing

(34:04):
over here. Everybody was old and stuff like that.

Speaker 3 (34:08):
We all know about it. We growed up with it, man.

Speaker 5 (34:10):
We didn't grow up with the stores. We growed up
actually seeing it. And I'm going, what about one to say, man, Oh,
this is the crazy part now. And we got all
the best hunters in the world here, everybody, everybody that's
some bigfoot, there's everybody that killed big game.

Speaker 3 (34:30):
Everybody in the world is here.

Speaker 5 (34:33):
And the lady that owned the store, she was actually
giving the information because we kind of know where everyone
of them, every one of them's at. And once she
told them she there was one up the road, she
was actually trying to get them off the one that's
right there across the street from them. So when she
sent them up the road, that's where I'm at, and
I was not letting a lot of people in so
u Man, they had a whole like it was when

(34:57):
something went big went down. They had one street block
a bunch of big fox by fox trucks and stuff
man guys all on man. The sheriff had already told
me they can't have guns. So they got crossbows and
bow and arrows, and they got another street. They got
them blocked off.

Speaker 3 (35:13):
And stuff man. At the end of the street.

Speaker 5 (35:15):
I'm on the facing street, and you got to come
through my yard to get to the end of the lot.
If you come from the other people houses, you gotta
come through their front yard. To get to the back,
so it's almost impossible. And once you get to one
side of the creek that Jason the mine, it's a
bunch of bob wine stuff growed up. So you can't
just come from the other side and come up in
there because you can't get through it's so thick.

Speaker 3 (35:35):
That's what I caught.

Speaker 5 (35:36):
The gunman, you know, the rifle man don't tell you about.
He was on that side, but he had to go
around and come around, and I showed him how to
get in. But them guys didn't know that. So, man,
this was one of the funniest things. So this day
they had everybody had this thing. Man, they knew about.
They knew about. This was gonna be at the guy's
house with a shotgun at the tree. They knew it
was gonna be there, and they knew it was gonna

(35:57):
be the dust. So everybody had the things around and
somebody's seen it and he kicked the whole thing off.
So I remember one of my friends I went to
school where we played little league football and everything, man,
and he rolled up. He was the one organizing it.
Man his name was and he had the whole crew.
He knew about that because we like I said about
the basketball goal, they just come over there in the community.

(36:19):
We used to play in the same at the basketball
goal and see him down at the end of the field.
So when Kenny pulled up, I mean he had a
truck load.

Speaker 3 (36:26):
Man. They were like, hey, man, we'll.

Speaker 2 (36:28):
Get you first.

Speaker 3 (36:29):
It was like get two hundred dollars to go through
the yard. I'm like, no, man, I can't do that.
They were like, well, give you five hundred dollars. Man.
They were going in their pocket. They had it something.
They had it, man. You know one guy. They ended
up getting the close to two thousand dollars.

Speaker 2 (36:42):
Man.

Speaker 5 (36:43):
Hey, and I was like, I can't do it, man,
because my mom, you know my mom. When she came
to the door and he saw my mama, man, they
burnt out. He told everybody to pull off, pull off,
pull off, pull off.

Speaker 3 (36:58):
My mom. Oh boy, she came out there with the
stick or something. Man, they can about bringing all the
people to the house.

Speaker 5 (37:04):
So he went up the street man with that truck
and they went to my neighbor's house. They don't go
all the way.

Speaker 2 (37:10):
To the back.

Speaker 5 (37:11):
It might go like one three fourths and listen at
this man, this is true story. These these people names
they Man, they can identify me.

Speaker 3 (37:19):
Man. It's then they especially at that same what happened
to Matt Hey, Man, he is a good guy.

Speaker 5 (37:25):
Man, He's a good guy brother. So Man, I know
if he hear this story, he gonna want to reach
out to me and just talk to me.

Speaker 2 (37:31):
Man.

Speaker 5 (37:32):
And he got a lot of people down here, man,
like my mom and a lot of people in the community, man,
that were really rooting for him. Man, and know he's
just kind of disappeared. They got a lot of people
around here. Man, it's just actually want to know what
happened to him. But back to that story. When the
guys passed my house, they went to my neighbor house.
So I mean we me and the lady at the

(37:52):
store is already tripping, laughing like we got the best
big foot of the hunt in the world.

Speaker 3 (37:56):
And they got the big footsitting right there.

Speaker 5 (37:57):
And it was actually about three four blocks at the
school at the end of the football field, and everybody
is man, cameras, Man, they got the cameras twenty thirty
feet up in the air.

Speaker 2 (38:07):
Man.

Speaker 5 (38:07):
Stuff is everywhere. So when these guys pull up next
past my house, they take off running down my neighborhouse.
She got a lot of tree stumps, trees been cut down,
and at the end of the life is probably about
the fence. I don't even think the fence is six foot.
Man might be five foot. But these guys jumped out
the truck and took off running through their Man, it's

(38:28):
like a Western you know people they be running down
the mountain and falling and kept you know, jump back
up and keep going. They took off down her yard. Man,
So they was jumping tree stumps and everything. Man, I
mean they were running and one of the guys he
had this little you know, you keep your arrows on
your back and the backpack. So while he running, his

(38:48):
arrows are just falling out. My mom was at the door. Man,
we are just dying laughing. I mean, they were getting
it down that hill. Man, the house white all the
situationd told my house like, up on the hill, you
gotta run down to the creek and man, his stuff
was falling out.

Speaker 4 (39:01):
Man.

Speaker 5 (39:01):
And when they got to down there to that fence,
that fire foot fire. I mean, they were getting the man.
You just we were like, they're the best big funnels for.

Speaker 3 (39:07):
Hunt in the world.

Speaker 5 (39:08):
They got the whole neighborhoods around him. Man, you should
have seen them trying to get over that five foot
fence down there. Man, they got a lot of cutsuit
buying and stuff on.

Speaker 3 (39:15):
Man.

Speaker 5 (39:15):
All they took them forever. Man, I mean they were
all tangled up. One was trying to help the other one. Man,
I mean it was bad. They couldn't even get over
the fence. So we didn't like just dying, laugh and
washing the guys. And the guy that arrows were following,
he was the last one, so he helped everybody, and
that he took off through the woods. They didn't have
too much fun to go to. It was that whatever up.

(39:36):
After he got over the fence by itself, everybody didn't
nobody help him. They took off. He got his throw
this bowl, I forgot it was a bowl, across bowl,
a cross bowl or something, but he threw it over
the fence and when he got ready, when he picked
it up, all his arrows were behind him. So he
had to struggle to get back over the fence that
all of them had. They took him too get over
the fence. He had to struggle to get back over

(39:57):
the fence, run back up the hill, pick up his arrow,
run back down the hill, and then and you know,
trying to make it back over the fence to catch
his parkers. So we were like, all the best big
foot hunters in the world can't even get over six
foot fence.

Speaker 3 (40:14):
We tripped. I mean, that was the funnest thing.

Speaker 5 (40:16):
But of course they got dark and they didn't get it.
So after that, man uh uh. I think right after that, man,
they was like, it's a hoax. And the sheriff man,
I think it was a cheff of the chief. The
chief of police was like, hey, nobody over there with
no crossbows, guns, nobody hunting, and you know, they kind
of broke it up. It was everybody went on forever

(40:36):
until they just said it was a host. And I
just checked that out, man, just a few days ago
after you first time talking to you, and I was like,
let me see what happened in that man, And man
I saw rick I said talking about it. The men
in black came in and took the bigfoot and left
them standing there. And I believe every scenele bit of it,

(41:01):
every single bit of it. If them guys hear this
right here, man, they know who I am, they I
can vouch for him, but I don't. Hey, I ain't
got no reputation there, so I can't real there's no
repetition about this. But that story is absolutely true. I
don't know about the men in black, but Mark Matt
used to have trouble with that, going back and forth

(41:23):
to the school with his daughter, and he actually act
on it to get it. So that's something man that
if you I don't know how important this is, but
that's a true story. So if anybody know anything about
the two thousand and eight bigfoot of was down here
in Alana, it's in Rex, Georgia, man, anybody anybody around.

Speaker 3 (41:41):
I ran to a lot of people.

Speaker 5 (41:43):
Man, they probably a lot of people that got this
story and don't told somebody nobody never really don't believe it.

Speaker 3 (41:50):
But I don't here to vouch for you.

Speaker 5 (41:51):
If anybody you hear anything about being in Rex two
thousand and eight and they chasing bigfoots around, it's true.
And the funny thing about it was, man, we had
everybody in the world down here. I met a lot
of people. Man, it's just a little I make a
right man to drive two minutes. I'm at the store,
and that's all of this, that's all.

Speaker 3 (42:10):
That's death.

Speaker 5 (42:11):
I met a lot of people man in there. That
stuff is true, and they are seen how they whitewashed
it so bad that when you try to look up anything,
you don't see anything about that.

Speaker 3 (42:22):
Man.

Speaker 5 (42:23):
I took a lot of pictures, man at a newspaper. Man,
a lot of pictures with different reporters. I had a
few interviews with them. They were just talking to me
because it was nothing to do at this store.

Speaker 2 (42:33):
Man.

Speaker 5 (42:33):
I can't find none of that, bro, everything is gone.
But everybody was around there at two thousand and eight
there when they was going to release it. Man, I
met a lot of people, man, and I believe them, guys.
I actually found one and I believe what they said
was true.

Speaker 1 (42:49):
Wow, that's that's some wild stuff. Thank you for coming
up again for sharing that account.

Speaker 4 (42:54):
I appreciate it.

Speaker 3 (42:57):
Yeah, thanks man.

Speaker 5 (42:57):
You can use that whatever, Man, but you can run
it to anybody that's got a thing like, Hey, trust me,
they telling the truth about it.
