Speaker 2 (00:49):
Yeah, I'm in Colorado right now, but I do. I
grew up in New Mexico, and I I guess I'll
just jump into it. Is that okay?
Speaker 1 (01:03):
Yeah, absolutely, go right for it, all right.
Speaker 2 (01:06):
Yeah, as I was saying, I grew up in New
Mexico and I live in a small town. I grew
up in a small town called ship Rock. It's here
in the fourth Corners area and it's next to the
San Juan River, and we lived by this cliff. And
(01:30):
you know, I guess my first encounter with Saskatch was
it's kind of it's strange. I will say. It was
one morning I was headed to school, got to school
and I decided I didn't want to go to school.
(01:53):
So I started walking back home. And I think I
was already upset about something. And so I was coming
back back back to the house where we used to
stay at the time, where I grew up and on
(02:16):
the farm roads next to this cliff in Schripprock, New Mexico.
And as I was walking home, I decided that I I,
you know, I started walking home. I maybe started making
my way home, and so I got off the main road,
and you know, I got down to the roads, you know,
(02:38):
leading to the farm roads, and the as I was walking,
you know, but beside the cliff, like I said, where
I grew up, there's a cliff right there, and I
noticed these crows. They were flying around and there was
just a bunch of them. I mean, it was kind
(02:59):
of like it got my intention, I would say. And
it was very strange because I had never seen so
many crows, you know. So I was wondering, what, what
are these crows flying over here by this cliff side,
you know, And I went, you know, over to the
cliff and I you know, these crows, there's so many
(03:24):
of them, man, I mean I didn't I don't even
know if I counted how much crows are out there
that that morning, but it was a lot. And uh,
you know, as I was looking, I went over to
the cliff and I started looking down towards the river
and this is where you know, it starts getting more creepy,
(03:48):
I would say. You know, it's like just kind of
looking around, like like more mysterious. And I'm looking around
and there's this tree. You know, these crows they were
landing on this tree, and they were, you know, just
more of them started landing down on this particular tree
(04:10):
down by the river. And I'm just you know, by
the cliffside, looking towards the area. I'm like, what what,
you know, what is that behind the tree? You know,
it was just like what the heck are they landing
there for? And all of a sudden I heard this loud,
(04:33):
loud roar. I would say, he just let out it loud.
They sounded like a guy. He's just but it is
too I would say it was too animal animal, you know,
to be a human. They sound like a guy at first,
he's like, you know, just like like a full grown man,
(04:55):
and he's like and at the same time, I thought
it sounded like a bear and that like like a mixture.
I never heard anything like that before. And I'm I'm
just like freaked out, you know. I kind of like
startled me. And all these crows flew up from that tree,
(05:18):
and and I stayed looking at that tree, and I'm like,
I was thinking something was gonna run out of that
tree really fast. But nothing. It was just seemed like
it was just laying there or something. But I was
kind of freaked out because where I was standing at
(05:42):
there was no cars passing by or anybody to I
would say to watch my back or you know, if
in case this thing decided to I don't know, maybe
there was others. I'm not even sure, but I was
kind of freaked out a bit, and I was just
(06:04):
kind of looking around. After that, I didn't see the
thing move. I don't even know what the heck it was.
I know for a fact though, that it was definitely Sasquatch,
because there has been a strained encounters there with Sasquatch
(06:29):
and the San Juan River, and it's just kind of
like that that where that area was was really secluded.
There's like really secluded, so there was no homes nearby,
and it's just like a place like where they can
run around. But that was my first encounter. And I
(06:52):
was like age of seventeen at the time, and I
came back home and I told my brother and he's
just like Sasquatch and I'm like, yeah, Sasquatch. You know,
Yeah that's true, you know, I mean, I don't yeah,
I told him, I don't know. I never experienced anything
like that before, you know, so that that was kind
(07:15):
of like where where we grew up, where I grew
up with my family, my my brothers and my sister,
and yeah, it was. It was very strange though.
Speaker 1 (07:29):
And wow, that's fascinating.
Speaker 2 (07:32):
Yeah, yeah, you know, the second time I had I
have I want to say I've had had the second time,
I would say, and between the second time, my my
mother she said she had a real encounter with the
(07:55):
Sasquatch or here and the Four Corners every as well,
and the Toyak area, Colorado. It's a little net reservation
and my mom had remarried to this ute guy, and
she was she's living there now. I'm still together, but
(08:21):
it's in particular night she was just I was somewhere
away in New Mexico at the time, and but she
did tell me she did have an encounter with the
Sasquatch and I had asked her to walk me through it,
you know, and she told me she walked out of
(08:41):
the house and she turned on the water and she said,
it was kind of like going towards where this house
is is kind of like on the outskirts of Toyot
I would say, this little reservation and it's kind of
like a like a brush area. Not everybody there's not
(09:08):
too many people with his houses and uh anyhow, so
my mom, she says, she's outside and she was wanted
to water the grass towards the evening, so you know,
in the morning time, the grass can the kind of
come out. I guess, I don't. I don't know. She
was out there for some reason watering the grass and
(09:30):
she's standing there and she told me she, you know,
was she just started water in the grass and then
she looked up for some reason that this shed, and
she said she seen this thing tall. It's kind of
like a guy's tall bean standing there and he, uh,
(09:54):
he was hiding behind the shed and this sheds like
ten feet be eleven feet tall, I'll say it's like
ten feet, but he was like over it, like yeah,
he was standing right over it like and then you
know when I stood up to that that shed, it
it's pretty high. So this guy, you know, he was
(10:19):
standing over like like like he was just like hiding
behind it and kind of hunched. But she told me
he stepped out and she kind of freaked out, and
then he locked his eyes on it, and she told
me she just had this weird feeling come over, like
(10:43):
like she couldn't move, and he just you know, as
he was he's just looking at her, and he was
he had this I told her describe their face, and
she just told me had you know, all over his face,
his body. It's kind of like reddish reddish brown. And
(11:07):
at the time they didn't have any dogs outside. And
I guess after that she she she snapped out, you know,
the trance. She told me she was like a trance
and she she hurry up and went inside, and then
by that time she went inside. I don't know if
(11:29):
she told her husband or not, but I think, uh,
she didn't really recall I would say. She says she
didn't at first, but then she did tell him. And
then he said, oh, yeah, that guy, he he's out there,
he walks around here,
