Series:
Connected Through Cancer | Bigger Than: Rooted & Real
Episode Summary:
What happens when the diagnosis comes… but God speaks louder?
In this soul-stirring episode of Bigger Than: Rooted & Real, Charlease sits down with Elveta — a breast cancer survivor whose story is soaked in miracles and anchored in faith. The moment the nurse told her, “You have breast cancer,” she heard something else just as clear:
God’s voice saying, “I’ll walk with you through this.”
What followed was a journey of supernatural strength, divine confirmations, and OMG moments that will leave you in tears — and in praise.
But this isn’t just a message for believers. Elveta has a word for those who don’t know God yet… and for those who’ve turned away. Her story is proof that He still speaks, still heals, and still shows up.
In this episode:
Hearing from God in crisis
Finding peace in the middle of a diagnosis
Breast cancer advocacy & faith-based healing
What to do when you feel alone in the fight
A message for those who haven’t met God — yet
This one’s not just a podcast. It’s a move of God.
Meet the Guest:
Elveta Chestnut is a breast cancer survivor whose healing journey became a faith journey. Diagnosed at Stage 1 in February at MD Anderson, she walked through fear with her daughter beside her — but it was a bold surgeon’s words and God’s whisper through Psalm 119:71 that anchored her spirit: “It was good for me to be afflicted so that I might learn your decrees.” From that moment on, Elveta saw God’s hand in every step of her recovery. Her testimony is one of divine encounters, real joy, and unshakable peace — and today, she rejoices not only in survival but also in spiritual awakening.
