The Lunar Laugh was a power pop band based in Oklahoma City. Their final album, In The Black, was released on November 3rd, 2023. The album features Jared Lekites (guitar, vocals), Connor Anderson (guitar, vocals), Campbell Young (guitar, vocals), Triston Lightner (bass, vocals), and Levi Sherman (drums, vocals). On this podcast, we heard from Jared, Connor, Campbell, and Levi. We talked about the events preceding and surrounding the album's creation, each individual track and its production, and a quick retrospective on the history of the band.
I'm sad to say goodbye to this band, but they left us with a great album, which you should listen to.

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist
It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
