(00:20):
So excited I should intro ourselves.
Hi, I'm Rachel. I'm Jen.
This is the bitches of death of your podcast.
I'm changing it up so that I sayJen because that's how I like
the address. And I backed up when I said
Jennifer the first recording. Oh, remember that one time when
you said hi, I'm Jen and I was like, I.

(00:40):
Saw your brain like restart in that moment being like I.
Was like, you know the RE listens, you know it's not just
like the one time. No, we listen to each other say
the same intro all the time, so I like that.
We just did a little bit of a new one.
We're resetting and I'm Jen now.OK, so maybe I just need to

(01:00):
start so then I don't actually have to think about what your
name is. I just say what my name is.
Wonderful. Hi, Rachel.
I'm Jen. And yeah, this is the Bitches of
Death and Mirror podcast. If you haven't listened to us
before, we talk about Star Wars media, books, comics, all the
fun stuff. And we talk about the High
Republic. What?
What phase are we in? We're on phase three.

(01:21):
Yeah, well, we're not what this the final phase, but it's not
the end. We are kind of in the middle of
the final phase. This all makes me so sad.
Yeah, well, in like real time, the final phase is ending in a
couple days, it feels like. Yeah, like was that two weeks?
Into June or something? Yeah.

(01:43):
That makes me so sad. Anybody that's a High Republic
fan that's listening to this, you're feeling our pain too.
It's been a wild ride. I'm so excited to see how they
wrap everything up and ended and.
What's to come next? Yeah.
And especially with like how Mark on Rose character has been
developed and, you know, they'vekind of created him as his

(02:07):
character who's so almost like you can't touch him, you know,
And so like for the him, them tolike the Jedi and everyone to
finally like take this characterand bring him down.
Like I I'm kind of nervous to see how that goes.
I feel like it's going to be such a hard undertaking, and not
only from like the Jedi's pointer perspective, but from

(02:27):
the writer's book perspective too.
They have to wrap up so many things.
I don't know how I know you guyshave like storyboards and stuff
and like little camps that you do.
I don't understand how you keep track of all this stuff and you
do it so well. I'm always so, so impressed by
how you do everything. Writer style, writing, talking
about. But we're the nameless today was

(02:47):
writer Cordova. We do love her so.
Also look at this amazing cover. It is beautiful and I'm kind of
obsessed with the fact that we have a Hut on the cover.
Just not only a Hut. It is our favorite.
Churro the Hut. Soon to be favorite.
Yes, I think he's a yeah. Incoming.

(03:08):
Totally, but before. We talk about the book.
We always talk about Star Wars news.
Yeah. Do you have anything fun?
The the most recent Rise of Skywalker issue came out, which
was issue form and it was phenomenal.
I'm so excited about this comic series.

(03:28):
I remember at one point I was like, I'm not going to listen or
listen. I'm not going to read this
because it's just going to be exact same copy and paste from
the movies. And I already love the movies
though, you know, whatever. And I'm so glad because the
stuff that they've added to thiscomic has been unbelievable,
particularly this issue. It was.
So emotional. It hurt so good.

(03:49):
And I was just like, oh, I need to curl up in a fetal position.
Because they added just so much stuff about Leia's last
interaction with Ben. And I was like, I mean, I
assumed all these things were happening, but seeing it with
the drawing on the page. Was just like it was so good.
I seen Leia talk it out with MasKanata and like their

(04:13):
interaction before she even connected with Ben too and like
she knew that it was coming was so cool.
I cannot wait for the next issue.
It's like we already know what'sgoing to happen, but I just
can't wait to see A the art is the art is spectacular, and B
what extra little things are going to add in?
Oh yeah, wait, so there's only 5?
Issues, I think so we're near inthe end of that.

(04:36):
I know I I might be wrong, but based on the movie too, I think
we're approaching there might betwo more.
Yeah, 'cause like she has to come back and then.
Well, she's she's go to. Tatooine as in when I say she is
Ray. Octo right?
And then? Oh, speaking to Luke.
Oh yeah. And then going back to all.
So I bet there's two left. I hope there's two more.

(04:57):
I will take as issues as. You want to make 16?
They just keep going. They tell more of her story and
like a continuation. So hear me out.
What if they do a comic that just continues until it's all
the way up 15 years to the rightmovie?
Just putting it out there, like what if you built the story up

(05:17):
before the movie? That would be super freaking
cool. I mean, I'm already invested.
Obviously when we're years out, I would be even more invested if
I'm sitting there reading a story for the next like million
months until that comes. Out.
Yeah, cool. Let.
Me know what? It was, but yeah, that was the
only issue or issue Star Wars news that I could find.

(05:38):
So this week so. I have a good one and then I
have some issues that I want to talk about.
So Disney put in any consideration for many Star Wars
project including Andor season 2in the act light.
So I'm really excited. Oh, and it was like 20 plus.
Oh my God, that makes me so happy.
Oh great. Applications or however.

(05:58):
That works, so yeah. But I'm really excited.
I hope they both went a bunch ofthings.
And I, I thought that it was so many categories that aren't
just, you know, the basic ones. There's a there's a lot that
goes into making ATV show and there's so many people that
contributed to it, and I hope they all get what they deserve,
which is high honors. Yeah.
All right. So I want you to just snap

(06:20):
answer. Snap answer OK.
So everyone on socials is like, Oh my God, Mark Hamill did an
interview, he's not playing LukeSkywalker anymore.
Does that cause you any surpriseat all?
At all? Thank you.
I thought it was crazy because Ikept seeing it pop up and it's
like, I understand he just did that interview recently, but
everyone's acting so and I'm like, guys, he's like 70.

(06:40):
Three, are they talking about the fact that that he was
playing Luke Skywalker and like The Mandalorian and The Book of
Boba Fett? Maybe.
But like, I just assumed that was it.
I was kind of shocked he did that at all.
I yeah, he's older guys. So it's weird to see so many
people on threads that are just like, he's moving on and I'm

(07:00):
like, guys, he moved on like 30 years ago.
But yeah, it's not more 40 something.
So I'm I'm unsurprised that I'm excited because he specifically
said it's time to tell news stories.
Oh yeah, definitely. Yes totally agree and I I love
that he pops up in other projects and stuff.

(07:21):
I want to see him in comics. I wouldn't mind having somebody
fill in for him for the Mandalorian movie or something.
Maybe, but we don't need to force Mark Hamill at gunpoint to
continue being totally. I'm just shocked people are so
shocked by it. Well, that makes me wonder if
they're going to if they do continue to have Luke and
different future projects, are they going to do the CGI

(07:46):
rendering of a younger Mark Hamill, or if they're going to
select another actor to play that role?
People want Sebastian Stan. I really like him also but he's
not super young if we're saying like a younger like right after.
Oh, like when he's still 20? Basically, yeah, totally.
I mean he can play old man Luke that's 40 takes 30s.

(08:09):
Luke, which is more what he would.
Isn't Sebastian Stan like 40 something 45?
If you are, you are looking. I think you were.
Looking so good, buddy. Congratulations.
You look younger than me. We're gonna we're gonna look
this up right now, OK. Now what it's like to be rich
and unbothered, girl. He is, boy, and that really
hurts my feelings because he's only born a few years before.
This has been a really informational session for us

(08:32):
right now, so. Yeah.
All right. So he can play 40s forties low.
He could probably get away with 30s like.
He probably could, yeah. Style where they hire a bunch of
adults to play like 13 year olds.
Stop doing that. So yeah, just thought that was
interesting. Discourse because he Beware the

(08:53):
Nameless by Zoraida Cordova. So excited.
So, so excited. Yeah.
You know, I didn't prepare any information about Zoraida.
I think because we know her so well.
Yeah. So you're not familiar with
Zoraida. She's a wonderful author.
She's done a lot of phase two work.
She wrote Cataclysm, and then she also wrote, oh, what was

(09:15):
that short story, Shoot Tales ofLight in Life?
It was one of the first, Yeah. Amazing.
I really like her a lot. And I was really curious going,
OK, so she's written adult novels before, or at least those
are the ones that I've read. And so I was really curious how
she's going to tackle this youngadult middle grade novel.

(09:41):
OK, so it's Queen's Bloom in Tales of Light and Light, one of
the first ones on there. That's the story about our
lovely Axel Greylark. Missy Friend.
Yeah, so I was so excited to seehow she was going to tackle this
and I am already a really big fan of her work and how she's
writing the story. It's so.
Great. She writes a lot of other
things, too, outside of the StarWars stadium.

(10:03):
And she does a lot of posts about going around and doing
book tours and like, being in panels with other writers and
stuff. And she just seems like such a
loving, like, open, fun person. And I, I just love you.
Yeah. Let me return to my notes in the
current current time, not tales of lives in life.

(10:24):
Where am I in the world? Beware the name is where.
The name is. All right, so we start out
chapter one in Bilbusa City. Did I pronounce that correct
name? It's Bilbosa.
I almost pronounced it Bilbosa because of the.
Caribbean. Oh yeah, Bilbusa, but.
We could just call Bilbo if you want.
You know, it's actually pretty close.
It's on Nalhatov. You're not.

(10:45):
It's a city on Nalhatov. You're not super familiar and
we're with a cool character named Churro the Hut.
Who is this character here with the?
Cute little vest and the cute little like.
Cute vest, What are those? Called get the goggles.
Yeah, he's adorable. He's so adorable.
Oh, I created a new note. That's fun, but unfortunately,
fortunately, Churro is not having a great time.

(11:06):
He is very upset because someoneate his science experiments.
That's. Not cool.
That would be so for real. If someone ate one of my
experiments, I would. Lose.
Oh shit. God.
But it would be another science experiment that ate your science
experiment though, right? That's how it is before, yeah.
Listen, you're not wrong. He's trying to do cool work
though. He is, yeah.

(11:26):
And we find out a lot of really cool information about Juror,
the how he's a vegetarian slug. Like, amazing.
Not only that, but he's very tanny for a Hut.
So small. He's so small, no and and
fortunately also he gets made fun of for both of those things
and is really not in high esteemin his family.

(11:48):
So I'll. Fight for him.
Totally he keeps. Serving him bug.
I know that's not nice. Isn't poor thing like tries to
eat it anyways? And make him sit there until he
eats it. And I'm like, this is
psychological torment. Because of.
Vegetarian, what are you guys doing?
100%. Terrible.
And yeah, I guess all of his cousin like they're in a pal and

(12:11):
all of his cousins are there. Like imagine having to live with
so many extended family members.A lot of family A.
Lot. Even if you love them, it's a
lot. But I guess it makes sense for
the huts though, right? They got the whole like mob
thing going on, but. They truly do.
But he goes to his quarters and on the walk there, he's like,

(12:32):
wow, there are a lot more guardshere at the ballast than there
normally are. And so I guess some of them had
been transferred there after a Jedi attack.
Quote, UN quote. Did you catch the nod on?
Ena amazing this was part of a or like.
I was. Like no cabins it's written.
Idiot. Somewhere.

(12:52):
Yeah, that's like, so, yeah, that's amazing.
And so he's like, OK, well, based on how everything,
everyone is behaving all like on, I guess it's something
weird. Something's coming, right?
Yeah, totally. So Truro returns to his
greenhouse, which is he calls his room, but it's it's a, it's
a greenhouse. And he's shocked to find that

(13:13):
his sister Dahara is actually there.
Fuck girl. Dahara is interesting.
There's a wig, Yeah, from a bounty hunter who betrayed her
family. She scalps somebody.
She did, and she wears it. Attached to a.
So many questions. I do too.
And no answer. She's massive.

(13:34):
She's like 3 times true size girl, like five years older so
she's just living her best life.Being a big sister I guess they
don't really vibe together though.
No. Like, nerd out because he's got
these special, like, ants from Mustafar, which I want to know
about. Yeah.
Totally. But she's just like, I don't, I

(13:56):
don't care about ants. It's time for you to join the
family rank, which I don't know if you guys have picked up on
already, but he's so uninterested in that life.
He's so uninterested in what they do, but he does want their
approval, so he kind of like back and forth between the two
and like what he really wants todo.
He wants to be enough as he is for his family, and I know he

(14:20):
knows that's just not really so He feels like he has to do these
things that are not him. It's.
Just really sad. It's so sad.
Wouldn't be Star Wars without some bad family.
No, for real. But Dahari knows how to get him
because she tells Churro that she has a very specific to him

(14:41):
mission that his parents want him to do.
And so like, that's how she reels him in to the family
business by like, Oh, yeah, my, what are my unique skills that I
can bring to this mission? So of course, Churro decides to
go along with and he goes to getready.
He grabs his little scientist vest that has all these fancy

(15:02):
pockets. And he's very concerned about
his Mustafar. I, I'm calling them Mustafar
fire ants because, you know, they sound like fire ants.
He's like, Oh my God, they're going to die.
So he brings like a jar of them. And it's like, I don't know if
this is the best method of carrying because you can't.
Possibly poke holes in that small enough that they won't

(15:23):
escape but also how they breatheit.
But then again, they. That's what I want to.
Fire where I feel like the air is like real dry and thin while
that, you know, lava maybe so maybe maybe they're used to it.
I don't know, maybe they. Don't need to breathe, it's
fine. They just.
Ant. But he Truro also grabs food, of

(15:46):
course, and then his data pad, so he is all ready to go.
Going to get some samples while he's out and about.
I just know it a. 100% then. We find out.
I forget that they're rich. I don't know if it's slugness or
something, I'm not sure. I just forget.
Judging by their external appearance.
I'm being judgmental. And it turns out they're real

(16:07):
rich because Dahara got gifted anew cargo shuttle by her mother.
It's a fancy cargo shuttle. It's not like a piece of shit
like she got a fucking Lamborghini.
Basically. Like girl, maybe I want to be in
the family person. Yeah, the the shuttle's name,
Sarlac Scorn. Fantastic, fantastic, but it's

(16:27):
got 4 laser cannons, the latest defense Shields technology Class
1 hyperdrive, and a scouting shuttle.
So all the essentials in one ship.
Did this is so unrelated I need the right of the know that I
picked up on this which is a reference to something called AI
cannot pronounce it crew bra Rocha beetle.

(16:48):
Oh, can you pick up on that? It is a letter swap for La
Cucaracha. I like sat there and I was like,
wait a second. And it's just like every two
words or every two letters are Flint.
But it's definitely La Cucaracha.
And I think, I think Rachel's cats just plummeted into
oblivion. It might be OK falling into the
door. I was.
Very concerned for a moment. That like they feel like, no,

(17:10):
it's just they're young, they'llsurvive.
But yeah, I thought that was it's a ride up I got.
Yeah, that's so good. That was not it.
You saw what you wanted to see. I don't know.
I'm. I'll have to go back and read
that. Yeah, that's so good. 2 letters.
She just did a little and made it real difficult to pronounce.

(17:31):
But there's crew coming with them too.
It's not like it's just the two of them.
They've got a crew of non Hut that work like security and do
jobs for them and stuff like that.
The names are very silly. I like the trend.
Ocean's name is Jaws of Death. Obsessed.
So good. And then the Rhodians named Rick

(17:51):
Kit, Rick for short. 100% And the Gomorian female is pinky.
She's pink, right? She must be pink.
I would assume. Or she's got like a weird pinky
or something, I don't know. There's so many options.
So they all sat down to talk about the plan and negotiate.

(18:14):
And apparently the plan is to negotiate with the Nile.
Dahara will meet with one of theNile generals and as she
explains the plan, Shiro has a very bad feeling that his day is
going to get so much worse. Also, none of the other, like,
crew members knew this is what was happening.
They were all geared up to, like, retaliate, fight against
the Nile Hills. So when she's like, yeah, we're

(18:35):
going to go negotiate. They were like, why are we here?
So everybody but Dahara has a bad feeling about that.
Yeah, it's crazy. What do you think about the huts
going after the Nile and trying to negotiate?
Negotiate. I think it's definitely a
negotiate. Like the huts are smart.

(18:57):
That's why they are so successful.
They know they play relationships the right way.
And I think at the end of the day, they're out for themselves.
They're going to do it's best for the family.
And if that means they have to quote UN quote, negotiate with
an IHO for now, they're going todo that.
But then they're going to absolutely trying to.
Well, it's hard because they know about the two other huts
that I've interacted with, the Nile.
And then both of those situations have not gone very

(19:19):
well. You've got both Mayarga, who's
dead, Scarabda, who's like who knows where now, hanging out
with the Jedi. So it's like.
There's a lot of confusion for the huts.
I think about like, we don't like the Jedi, we don't like the
Nigh Hill. They're kind of mixed into stuff
together. But now we've been roped into it
like it's a lot to consider. But that's it, that's the end of

(19:42):
chapter. One so solid.
I'm excited about Chapter 2 for the Jedi Temple and Chorus, and
I was so excited to see Ram's name.
Ram. Who is, surprise surprise,
happily tinkering with machines?I guess they have a huge To Do
List around the temple because obviously everyone's been
working on not dying, right? That's valid.

(20:04):
Super valid. And so stuff to the wayside and
RAM is like, no, that sounds perfect for me.
And I love that Pep Pep and Kildo or old friends from Balo
are also kind of helping him out.
So they're making themselves useful in the way that they can
as Padawan, right? Totally.
Younglings. I guess not.
Even younglings. Yeah, not even Padawans.

(20:27):
Yeah, they're so, so little or what happens, and I just love
that that's what they're doing with their time.
Instead of like they could just be, you know, being young and
instead they're like, we want tohelp in whatever.
Way and so I also like that we got information about what
happened when they left valo so ram tap tap and Kildo we're
piloting the medical cruiser theinnovator to different planets

(20:50):
and they were distributing back to another medical supplies but
once they were out of those supplies they headed back to
Coruscant where they've been thethe past few weeks I.
Love that. And now Graham's on his way to a
mission briefing of some kind. Mission briefing at this time
period that could either be so good or so bad.
So I'm sure he's a little anxious, but he finds, you know,

(21:13):
Jedi RDC officers and a bunch offancy looking Korasanti people.
Did you get that they're probably senators and that he
was just like, he didn't know who?
We were. He's just like those people with
really nice gowns and I'm just imagining on Mothma, obviously.
And I love that there were also these Packathip individuals.

(21:33):
I forgot to. Make that are like a sentient
species with wrinkled grey skin, long trunks and two tusks.
They're essentially like elephants.
Yeah, and I'm. Anyway, like those are packaged,
right? Oh yeah, so I so pack is a
rider. We see you.
Wait isn't this a pre-existing name?

(21:53):
I thought so because I looked itup and I thought I had like
there was like photos packed. Hold on.
I'm I totally missed out on the elephants at another point?
I bet it's going to be in a HighRepublic story that we did an
episode of. I just shit no in my bones.
I've talked about this before and just forgot.
I mean, I've never seen this face before.
That is. I just, I just showed Jed that

(22:16):
I'll show you. There you go it.
Was that is a That is something. It is if someone it hadn't.
It doesn't look like an elephant.
OK, no. I feel like skeleton crew.
They look more like elephant. Yes, a species.
Girl. It was a species that already

(22:36):
existed and I was mad, but they the spelling was different.
Yes, Mickey. It was like Mickeyan, but
Mickeyan or Mickey. Something like that.
It pissed us. All off.
You're making our lives harder. We can barely pronounce when
there's just a single of one thing.
Come on. Yeah, those are super
interesting. I'm glad we included some extra

(22:57):
characters in this moment. OK, well a first reference is
The Phantom Menace and Attack ofthe Clones.
OK, it's been a hot. Revenge of the Sith, A New Hope,
Doctor Aphra Issue 36 Return of the Jedi.
Also, it's a legend species too,so it's, or rather there's

(23:19):
legend information about it as well.
So it's been every piece of StarWars media ever.
Great. Oh yes, pekka sip, I know all
about them. Listen, I only hold so much.
Have the glut shadows talked about Pekka sips girl you?
Call me out like this. Listen.
I don't know. No, I'm just asking a question.

(23:41):
I love you guys. I'm sorry if I forgot because
I'm like 200% sure you have talked about these species
before. I'm sorry, I love you.
I don't. We're going to find out in our
group chat so I can or just to be ashamed because that with no
context and then I see what theysay yes.

(24:01):
Anyway, now that we know, I can't remember anything.
So if. You find a knight who is an
artist. A Jedi Knight, yeah.
Yeah, not medieval, guys. That's not the vibe we're going
with right now. I told you it was going to get a
little silly. We've been here for a few hours,
not actually recording, so here we are.

(24:22):
But yeah, it's a Lissa. Yeah, I love that it's Jedi
Masters entering the room time. Oh, you know what I also wrote
down? Where the fuck are we in the in
the timeline? Oh girl, because I want to know
where the Blight is. Where did it go?
To 'cause it feels like we're right.

(24:43):
This is Corson. But it feels like it's happening
while temptations of the Force is happening.
Wellzar and Avar are there together, but nobody seems
concerned about the Blight at this moment.
I'm so confused. I'm assuming this is during
Temptations of the Force, but free Marky on sprinkling the

(25:03):
blight is what I get. Somebody else knows better than
me, please correct. But that's I think I can handle
this. Yeah, good 'cause that's.
The So do we not like Elzar herethen?
It's hard to tell if this is prelike what do you call it
getting? That was at the very end of
Temptations. Of the Force.

(25:24):
That's true, Elzar. Sorry, baby, we're back.
Still have a little bitch. So yeah.
But we love you in the future. So yes, spoilers.
Jedi Masters Avar, Chris Elzar man.
Also Ada Lee Karo. Sorry if I messed that up.
Operan Sissis and then Grandmaster LaRue.

(25:46):
So it's a nice gathering and theMasters all announced that they
are going to be helping the people on Shimia, which are
those pack of thips. Yeah, the apparently the people,
the pack of thips on Shimia havebeen having an issue with the
Nile and have asked the Jedi forassistance and the Masters have
stated that they are going to help.
So one of the pack of thips, which is Lord Sal Step sport and

(26:10):
begins talking about how there'sthis agricultural planet named
Minos 3 and how it has been overrun by the Nile.
OK it sounds full of shit thoughbecause it's a Red Planet with
two Criss crossing black ring. How metal is that?
You know, I didn't even catch that.
That's all. I was really cool, I mean.
Was it during your first first read?

(26:32):
This might have been picked up on my second read.
I think OK first read caught it,but actually that make no
support. Amazing.
That is a cool plan. Yeah, that's -3 that has the the
Red Planet with the black. OK, OK, cool.
So not the other planet Shimia. I don't think so.
I think it's -3. OK.

(26:53):
I'll get up later and confirm. OK.
If it's Shimia, I'm sorry. Shimia is cool then.
Well, it is weird to me that theNile are in Republic space and.
What'd she do? Yeah.
Do they know that this space? Like is this pre even the second
expansion or? It might be, which is crazy.
I don't remember any reference to it in the section that we're

(27:15):
covering today. So I am curious if we get any
details that are more specific about where we are in the
timeline. But it is curious that the Nihil
are like, whatever, we don't care about the boundaries
anymore, we're just going to go into Republic space.
I mean, they they do, but the it's like short rating
situations. They go and take they want and
definitely not staying. I also want to know what they're

(27:36):
going after too. And like Lord Salk has been
really hesitant about talking about what the Nile might
possibly want to there. Yep.
And there's some kind of distress call coming out of
there. And then they said that the call
ended days after it like. Went out.
And. It's fine.
The distress call went away. It's not a big deal.
But it's real bad because apparently there was a group of

(27:59):
mercenaries that the senator hadtaken to answer that distress
call, but after it ended, none of them came back except for one
alive in a pod and one had just dust in it.
So one actual survivor who is basically cataconic from shock
and saying what horrible things the beast will devour us all.

(28:22):
That is not what you want to hear from somebody coming back
from a mission. So some shit happened.
Especially non Jedi. Mercenaries.
Mercenaries who probably just don't give a shit.
They're not scared by anything and one makes it out.
That's crazy. I'm curious what's going on
here. I like that Ram immediately

(28:43):
picks up on this whole story andespecially Dust and like he is
so like like focused on this word that he kind of like shouts
it out loud, just screams. Dust.
And Ayor looks over at him then like asks him about his his
perspective. And Graham honestly tells her
that it reminds him of the Nameless.
And everyone talks about how this is strange since there are

(29:06):
no Jedi on -3 but Master Caro announces that she is leading a
mission to investigate. She's there to rescue any
hostages and capture any monsters.
Really. Excuse me, what are you doing?
I know it's like how you have like a plan.
They're like bullet points. Because I would be interested in
hearing how you think a bunch ofJedi are going to go catch a

(29:27):
nameless. I have no idea.
My brain goes sedate it and thenget a net a little.
Dart as far away as possible. Oh no, Dart with the what?
Kind of with like. Electricity or something?
Because the name of this Oh yes,of course, electrical.
Dart, thank you. We got there.

(29:48):
Oh my God, yeah. Takes this moment to be like.
Just a reminder in case you forgotten, the nameless are
super dangerous and they ask RAMif the innovator is flight ready
as they need a super strong shipfor this that has room to store
these supposedly caught nameless.
And it is. It's ready to go because RAM has
been working so hard on it. R.E.M. does say that he's going

(30:11):
to need some volunteers to help crew the ship.
Lisa Vops. Lisa.
I can't know how to pronounce this one.
It's the first to you volunteer. Then a Syrian Jedi Knight named
Sulnath Rune and Senate. Senate tour Rena.
General Greylite. Yeah.
Yeah. I was so bummed to see the name.

(30:32):
Greylard, I was so excited. Thank you.
Zarite, thank you so much. You need to know the.
Family tree though, you could live.
They keep they keep mentioning his great grandfather and.
I was like actual. But I hope they keep they I hope
they mentioned the great grandmother and be like she was
a Jedi that. Would be so crazy to do the

(30:54):
purple light. I was like, Oh my God, no way.
But she's volunteering as a medic, which will be really good
for them to have. And it turns out she's got a
secondary motivation for this, right?
Because her husband and her oldest daughter are trapped
somewhere, and she feels like somehow she's going to be able

(31:16):
to help with that. I don't know.
I don't. Or maybe like in the process of
going through this, she'll find it.
She doesn't announce this at all.
She it was her daughter. So her daughter, like, rushes
forward. She's been hiding behind, like,
her skirts or something and is like, I'm going to because I
want to find my sister and my dad.
And I'm imagining Rita Graylark just being like, shut up.

(31:39):
You're ruining my slave. Yeah.
Oh, definitely embarrassing too.Revealing that she has ulterior
motive. Yes, 100%.
So she's kind of like Rita's, like trying to hide her daughter
behind her and like nothing. Now.
I like this whole time they're like saying all the different
people who are volunteering as like children and then Senator
Gray Lark, who apparently Lord Salk hates.

(32:02):
So Lord Salk is like hate the senator.
And also why all why are all of these kids coming along too OK?
Not going to lie, I agree with him.
So we're sending a bunch of children and not like 16 year
old Grenesh. I'm talking like children on a
mission to capture nameless. I need someone to show me on the

(32:23):
doll where this is appropriate because.
It's. A little sketchy.
Well, according to Ram, it was actually children who saved
Valo, so. Whatever I wrote in here, I was
like, I am. I know.
It's like, I'm not surprised. I'm just.
Well, would it be a children's book?
Without children. I know you're right.

(32:46):
We have to see how they experience the nameless and all
the things the. Book just ends in chapter 2 and
it's like, yeah, and the Jedi decided it was really
inappropriate to some kids on this.
The end. A masterpiece.
Well, that we move on to Chapter3 because they're just going to
get ready to leave Boris aunt. With Ram as captain of the

(33:06):
innovator. Makes total sense.
Totally not sketchy. I was so, I mean he has been
piloting around all the different planets and
distributing back to so sure. Because you can, doesn't really
should. I know, but yes, Chapter 3 we
are on my nose 3 in the Dalton sector.
I must mess the Dalton and it's like that is not.

(33:28):
The right not on, no, we're. Not, but naturally, this is
where the huts are headed. Like this is the place that they
have decided to go. What are the odds that people
are all headed to the same location?
Yeah. So I like that Churro recognizes
the name -3 as the name of the place where his dad gets all of

(33:51):
this ingredient. It's a thing called Girashi, and
it's a plant that is used to make cocktails.
And apparently it's Churro's dad's favorite drink.
Oh my God, that's so cute. It's so good I like that.
Sure was also like I don't understand why Nile are in
Republic space and Tahara's justlike the sisters just like shut
up shut up stop asking questions.

(34:12):
Literally all you need to do is be quiet and do your part of a
mission and stop worrying about what it is we're actually doing.
The negotiation mission. No, she's like not giving him
any details. Which, in fairness, that's
probably probably a good plan. Oh, I think she does give him
details. We just don't get the details
until later. Yeah.

(34:34):
About that, but the town Marshall greets them once they
land and they go to the the Marshall's office where the
whole Hut plan begins and Daharatells Truro to stay and just
wait for the meeting to be through.
To avoid suspicion from the guards of course.
But as soon as that door closes for the meeting, he's like, I'm
going to slither around because no one's going to notice me.
I'm just like a kid. Even though he's a Hut, he's

(34:55):
small and no one's going to think to be like, what are you
doing? But his true plan, which is not
negotiations, which is to find acrate that is like marked to go
to this place called Tennu, and he's supposed to open it and
take out the weapon that's hiding in it.

(35:18):
But apparently it's a very valuable weapon that was
spreading fear amongst the Jedi.I'm like, I know what that might
be. Did you think?
Did you have the correct thought?
Seamless 100%, yeah. I thought it was going to be
that they had figured out a way to contain the blight, kind of
like they had elsewhere I. Thought it was going.

(35:39):
To be the blight in a containment field of some kind.
That's also very terrifying, turns out.
Also would work. I think we're figuring out the
timeline better and this makes sense.
I don't think they know about the blight yet.
True. Yeah, it's we're not in blight
them yet. And it's hard to know too,
especially with like the survivor from where were they?

(36:02):
Oh, the sister planet to -3 we weren't, we didn't get any
information about or when that one survivor came back.
They just were talking about a beast.
They didn't actually say like a spreading.
Yeah, beast to me would indicate.
Nameless. Yeah, totally.
Light, so that makes total sense.

(36:23):
So we'll see. So Churro's on his way to go
find this crate, which is apparently in the cargo Bay.
And he opens up the store and finds a laboratory instead.
And a scientist that is bald andvery angry.
He shouts at him to get the heckout of there and not bother him.
That's going to be Nib Drenda. All right.
Yeah, great. Glad to know where he's at in

(36:44):
the world. So I mean Drake gets nearby.
Probably. OK so Charles like slithers out
and like shuts the door. So he heads to the other door
and it leads to the cargo hold. Great.
But unfortunately there are a bunch of Nile guards there, but
luckily they are all sleeping because they are very drunk off
of this. What is the name of that drink

(37:04):
again? The whatever drink that
everyone's drinking the shit. You know that one.
Mother fucker Charles Dad's favorite.
Video. We were just talking about it.
I just want to. I give up.
I. Feel I just want to call it like
elderflower vodka or something. Oh yeah, yeah, that's exactly

(37:25):
it. Elderflower vodka is what they
are drunk on. But not only are there Nigh Hill
there, even if they're incapacitated, there's hundreds
of right? So he's like, what am I supposed
to do about that? It's a it's a middle grades book
though, so it's immediately resolved.
Yeah, the the crate that he needs is where the Nile guards
are sitting. Yeah, they're using.

(37:46):
Those like a table, right? They are so Charles great idea
is to put his Mustafarian fire ants to work and release them
and let them go to town on theseNile guards that are.
Sleeping. They get up so fast to start
screaming, heading out the running.
I like that Charles. Like maybe that the fire ants
will be happy here. Oh my God.

(38:08):
Yeah, this is this is an interesting moment, because
after they're gone, Churro goes to look at what's inside the
crate and what does. He finds a beautiful purple gem
that looks kind of like an egg. How strange.
Nameless egg. And funny enough, it is marked

(38:28):
for a Jedi temple. Oh, I know, I saw that.
In to do so, I was like. That is horrifying.
I just imagine them like shipping nameless eggs to
different temples and laying like.
Literally like the whole anthraxthing.
That's the same thing. So true.

(38:50):
Yeah, so Churro grabs the egg, puts in his backpack, tries to
head out another door 'cause he doesn't want to run into the
Nile guards he just set his fireants at, but unfortunately this
door is locked. But that's when he hears the
shouting and someone asking for help.
He turns around and he sees all these people in cages.
It's awful. So bad it was literally like

(39:11):
it's a shipping container that'slike a cage for animals.
It's so sad. Yeah, But we see a lot of
moments with Churro where he's like oscillating between what he
knows he knows he should do as aHut and what he wants to do
inherently. And this is one of those moments
where he kind of like looks at the trapped people, the
hostages, and he's like, oh, I really want to help them.

(39:33):
But he knows how all his family huts would disapprove.
But eventually his own internal like warmth wins out, and he
opens up the door and lets out the hostages.
And there were two dozen people in there.
That's a lot of people. It worked out for him though,
because he's like, hey, so whileyou're out, any of you know how

(39:54):
to open the loading dock? And one of them used to work
there, so it's perfect because they can.
He can get out of the Bay, whichthe way he needs to do, and head
for the Sarlacc Scorn. But when he gets there, he
realizes there's a bunch of Nye Hill headed their way.
So not good. Not good.
Luckily though, the Sarlex Scorncrew are out there blaster

(40:17):
firing Nile back. Churro slides up, slithers
whatever the ramp into the ship and finds Tahara, who's pissed
at him. But luckily once Churro shows
Tahara that he's got the egg, she's a lot happier and is like
OK, you're fine. But then alarms start going off
and Dara has to shove him into this door, which leads to the

(40:40):
secondary ship, the little shuttle.
And it's basically like, stay inhere, don't move.
And there's like, she, she, she seals the door on him.
My. God, yeah, it's not a great
situation for him and his bad day for sure is going to get a
little bit worse. Oh, totally.
She basically like once they're in flight, right and they're

(41:03):
being chased by the Nihil, it's not looking good and she knows
this egg has to make it no matter what.
I I know that it's not out of caring for her brother.
Which is. Sad.
That is sad, but. She tells him to put in
coordinates or I don't remember off the top of my hand to meet
back in now Huda that was and sohe actually ends up punching in

(41:25):
coordinates to Tarnunga pronounce, which he thinks will
be a safe sort of route to get him back now huddle without
being followed, I'm assuming is what he's doing that for.
Yeah, so he's like puts in the coordinates, hits the the button
to jump into light hyperspace, and all of a sudden a big

(41:46):
explosion knocks into his side and he is spinning out of
control. And all he sees is that he's
falling towards this unknown planet with amethyst seas and
White Mountains. I love it.
Chapter 4 We're back on the JediTemple on Coruscant and we're
with this new Jedi youngling named Jamil Solis and he is so

(42:09):
sad because he wasn't chosen to be a Padawan.
Apparently all these like Jedi Masters keep coming in and
selecting younglings to be theirPadawans and not him.
And I'm just so heartbroken for this, this kid.
It's embarrassing because it's like the Guardian protocols went
upright and they kind of promoted.
But not him. So like, I understand why he's

(42:31):
feeling bad. It's not like normal times where
you have to go through all this stuff.
People are just being like handed essentially knighthood
and becoming a bad one and he's not.
No. So he goes to find someone that
will make him a lot happier and that is his friend.
Tap. Tap.
She makes everyone happier. So true, love it.
But he knows exactly where to goand that is on the innovator in

(42:55):
this teeny tiny little crates. And he finds Tip tip in there
nestled all cute with her feathers all fluffy out.
But she's sleeping so he's trying really hard to like not
wake her up when suddenly this voice comes out and asks, hey,
do you want some rainbow Montel mix?
Love it though, it's so good dildo.
Well, we know it's Kildo. I was surprised to know that

(43:16):
Jamil, who is Tep Tep's friend, didn't know who Kildo was.
That's a little odd to me. But Jamil recognizes Kildo as
being the same species. Obviously he's got the blue
black feathers. But yeah, Kildo jumps down and
is like, hey, how are you doing? You look really upset and was
like, hey Youngling. I know I like that they just met

(43:40):
and Jamil is like let me tell you.
But I'm feeling really upset andself-conscious 'cause I'm eleven
and a half and I'm still a youngwait.
Yeah, I always thought younglings were like 8.
To compat one earlier yeah like 8 Yeah the 789 is so.

(44:01):
Crazy. It's like, well, I guess that's
in the Skywalker time, right? Yeah.
So it could be different. Now, but in the higher public
era, their standards. But Hildo says something really
nice, which is just reminding him the Jedi aren't in
competition with each other. I love that and.
Also there's nothing wrong with I was just like killed Angel.

(44:27):
Yeah, so they eventually do introduce each other.
Sorry, how did I mess up? Oh yeah, so they do eventually
introduce each other and a. Young.
Yes, yes, yes. So that's when a young girl
walks in. And Jamil immediately,
immediately notices that there'sthis really strong aura around
her when he reaches out to her in the force.

(44:47):
It's like touching a live electrical wire.
He's like I. Love that reference.
Do you remember where that is also mentioned?
Is that in Cataclysm? No, that is in The Last Jedi.
It's in the novelization though. It's not like in the movie.
It's a inner POV from Ray when it's stirring during a force

(45:09):
back then I want to say it's thelike sexual hand holding one in
which she like touches the like bond in the force.
She specifically says it feels like touching the live wire of a
star. So when I saw live wire I was
like, I know it's new words, butthey're very specific words used
to describe a feeling in the force.
And I was like, oh. That's so do we have like a

(45:31):
force connection between these two?
Characters that I think her energy is just so bonkers.
OK. That she creates it herself.
Got it, got it, got it. Well, the girl introduces
herself as a junior RDC and she doesn't say anything else.
She doesn't say her name and shegoes and plops down in the
corner, ignores everyone as she reads her hollow book.

(45:51):
I. Just talked shit about the Jedi
for doing this and I'm like RDC you should not have junior RDC.
Why do you have children? You guys need to get your shit
together. Yeah, so Kilda, Jamil, wake up.
Tap, tap. And they're all about to go grab
food, but suddenly they're interrupted by Ram Jamaram
speaking over the intercoms. He welcomes everyone to the
innovator and tells them that they're off.

(46:13):
So the kids run over to the doorand it's locked.
They cannot get out. Whips.
It looks like Jamil is heading towards that field training that
he really wanted after all. Yay.
Well, that takes us over to Chapter 5, where we are
somewhere in hyperspace on the in the theater and we find out

(46:34):
that this person, the junior RDC, is Zenni Grayla.
Yay. So yeah, this is Rena.
Rita. Thank you.
Thank you. Rita's daughter.
And she is in a shit ton of trouble because it.
Other younglings, too. Everybody.
'S in trouble and we kind of getthe inner POV of like it turns

(46:55):
out the whole getting locked in the cargo base thing was kind of
planned by her. She wanted a chance to find her
family because she feels like her mom is more concerned with
like other things like random refugees and stuff.
And it's like heaven forbid, butshe feels really bad about
getting everybody else in trouble.
But she's had such a hard time since her dad and sister have

(47:16):
been gone, and she just needed her mom to do something.
And this is when we find out thetruth real fast, like, which is
that there's no junior artist. Yeah, to figure out what to do
with poor children. Poor unplanned children.
I like that Kildo looks over at Zenni is just like, oh, that's
what it's like to play pranks onpeople and tipped up is like,

(47:41):
Yep, it sure is. Oh my gosh, yeah.
I like that. Like all the adults.
So there's Jedi and RTC people, and then they're all like super
upset. I had these kids and Ram's just
like, well, who hasn't boarded the ship and gone into outer to
the Outer Rim because they were following the will of the Force?
Ram. Going to be me.

(48:02):
Like you're for sure talking about you, yeah.
Totally. Arena's like Ram Zenni listens
to me, not the will of the Force.
It's Rina. Is it really?
No, I am so I wanted. To correct before we got too
deep into it, I had to double check because normally it's me
and it's my computer, but this time?
It's my phone. This.
Time. It's Rena.

(48:24):
Rena. I like Rita though.
It reminds me of Rita Repulsa. Why?
Don't you like Rena? Nope.
That is amazing. OK, I am so sorry.
The mother's name is Rena, not Rita.
And now we can move on. Moving on, Rena, yeah.

(48:50):
They argue back and forth about what the heck to do, but
eventually Rams Droid and 1st Mate V Eighteen walks in, tells
everyone that they're dropping out of hyperspace, and they've
got a couple short jumps until they get to -3 so they all
buckle up. And Jedi Lisa announces that
she's informed the Council that they've got us for you Jedi and
House Willow Forest. Not a big deal.
And I like this like part where Rena and Zenni kind of like link

(49:15):
pinkies and make a promise that even though we're arguing, we'll
still come back to one another because we love one another.
It's so cute. It's the thing their family
does. It's adorable.
And it's so good they both promise to find Zenni's sister.
Lexi. I didn't get that wrong, did I,
Lexi? I get it wrong again Lexi.
I. I don't.

(49:36):
Know if I have? That name so I can.
Even written down anywhere. I hope it's Lexus.
That's amazing. Lexi sounds right, I mean.
Zeni's sister, unknown name. That is a lie.
I know there is a name because we both wrote it down.
It's just whether we wrote it down correctly or not.

(49:57):
Oh my God, he did. His pass by bedtime.
Girl, it's been past my bedtime for an hour.
You know how I like to do. I like to lay in bed and.
Now I go to sleep. Starting at 8:30.
Yeah, I did want to mention where they exit hyperspace.
I recognize the name, and I was like, I recognize that name.
The Arcana Sector. Oh yeah, It's Hux's birthplate.
Oh my God, that's amazing. Name, but it was mentioned in

(50:19):
the Phasma. Product, OK.
Cool. They don't even make their next
jump, though. No, they get a distress signal.
And it's an RDC signal and it's not coming from my nose 3.
Coming from some nearby other planets.
Palagosol. Yeah.
You know, of course, Zenni is immediately like, Oh my God,
it's my sister. It's the same sector that she

(50:40):
disappeared in. But apparently there's this Jedi
temple on Palagosol. So.
Ram decide to go and contact theJedi there, but there's no one
there. Both the Jedi Temple and the RDC
have evacuated, so the planet really should be deserted, but
yet there's still this distress call.
So of course the crew all begin arguing again whether they
should investigate that the distress call are keep to the

(51:01):
original plan. And I like that Zenni and the
Jedi younglings are all like, we're going to Bellaco Saddle.
We just let children make up missions and go on their own.
I know, but Master Caro, who's had her eyes closed this whole
time and kind of like meditatingand listening to the Force,
finally chimes in and says that she will go to Palagosal.
She will leave the younglings and Zenni to the Distress call

(51:25):
while the other Jedi and RDC continue with their plan to
Minos 3. And they get an RDC soldier to
go with them, which is. Guided too, yes.
We might run into names at some point.
We need somebody besides just Zenni who can withstand
nameless. That's a good point.
So yeah, they master Karo's team.
All heads to this family. Graylark family yacht named the

(51:49):
Redemption. Wonder why it has that name?
It's got to be Axel's has. To be And I like the thought of
Gella being like, you're going to name it the.
Redemption. He's like OK 4.
Love you. But that takes us into Chapter 6
aboard the Redemption, and Zenniis piloting towards Peligosal.
Peligal. And she sees what she thinks are

(52:11):
meteors. Like all these little meteors
scattered around, but it's not meteors.
Yeah, they're dead bodies. Bodies and the remains of a
ship. And I'm like, these children
need therapy immediately. Yeah, and Zenni's like scanning
all the ships trying to find onethat looks like her sisters.
And it's like she's like trying to like she wants to close her

(52:31):
eyes but I can't even Also, is there no ship license process?
Like what is the age for kids tobe ship pilot?
I just. I'm getting the vibe that Star
Wars don't give a shit. Well cuz Zenni and her sister
apparently have taken the redemption on lots of trips.
How old is Zenni? That I don't know, but she's
young. About the same age as Jameel,

(52:52):
right? He's like 11 1/2, so she's
probably also 11. Whatever.
Well, my brain goes to like how did the ship get out of like
locking like loading pace placesand they're just like crashing
into shit because that's what I would do if.
They like they can't read all the things because.
They're just like for their own little What are those boosters?

(53:13):
Have like little tongs or something to just poke all the.
I love it. Oh.
My gosh. Anyways.
Well, immediately we have problems, yeah.
As, of course, we do. Always, always you Nile ships
are coming towards. Where do those guys come from?
They just come out of nowhere, man.
They really do it. Is cool though because like
Zenni is nose diving now throughall of the ship pieces, but

(53:36):
Master Caro is focused on keeping their path clear of big
debris which is super cool. So she's just in the ship being
like, just like that. Because Zenni needs it.
She's 11 year old trying to navigate around.
While being chased by Niall. Yeah, no, but she does a really
good job. And I guess then I'll keep
trying to come over and Zenni ignores it.

(53:57):
I just like this really remindedme of the last novel where
Niall, we're trying to come in over a planet and we're
basically like, no, don't go. There's a basically saying
there's a blight without saying that there's a blight.
And so for me, I got like red flag for blight.
Maybe me. No one else got that.

(54:20):
We got it though. Yes, as in the crew.
The crew has no idea. Zinny does do a great job
because she ends up setting thiswhole trap to commit murder.
She like trails, right? But like, she tailgates a ship
essentially, and then the other ship fires at her and she moves
out of the way real quick so that it explodes their friend.
I was like. OK, and apparently it was a a

(54:41):
trick that she learned from her sister just.
Hit the whole. Amazing.
Oh my gosh. Yeah.
So that ship goes down and Zenni, like, leaves the cloud
layer and she can see the purplesea and all of these volcanic
islands. She sees like this series of
Spires. So she decides to head down

(55:02):
towards the Spires and like, weave in and out amongst them,
trying to lose the Nile, but unfortunately it's still gains
on them. But at some point Kildo like see
something up ahead and it's a sea monster that's like
breaching like eating like burgers and shit.
Zenni decides to fly straight towards it, and as she does so,

(55:26):
the sea monster also tries to eat them, but misses and catches
the Nile ship instead and they all go to they.
Knew that they weren't going to get caught by the BC because.
They yeah of. Course like no, now miss us.
Yeah, miss us? Nile ship makes it though.

(55:48):
Yeah, I was so shocked 'cause when I wrote in my notes like
that Nile, the first Nile ship that got shot at by the other
Nile ship, I was like, this is down, we're done with this one.
But no, that Nile ship comes back, is chasing him again.
So Zenni heads for some Cliff cause apparently that's a good
idea. So she's headed towards this
Cliff and all of a sudden they're hit by this green laser

(56:09):
fire and they're going down. It's from a different direction
than the direction fire should be coming from.
So this is a third party who hasdecided to join this fight.
And yeah, she's like, well, guess we got a crash now and
that's the end of that. Yeah, luckily we don't go very
far. Chapter 7.
We are also in the Northeast Archipelago.

(56:29):
Archipelago. I liked your version though, it
sounded way fancier. Archipelago.
Maybe it's the palagosa that's really fucking with my brain
past my bedtime. This is this is the last
chapter, guys. We got this.
We're doing OK. Here we go.
We find out very quickly that itwas Charles the Hut that shot

(56:51):
down the Republic shuttle. But it was an accident.
He was truly aiming for the Nileship.
Well my brain is like isn't the Republic ship heading 1st and
then the Nile? Or he's to the side shit like
going this way like and then fires but he doesn't like

(57:12):
account. I'm unsure of the direction.
He did this. Unsure how he failed so bad, he.
Failed horrifically, which is great for himself.
Yeah, he keeps on listing all the things that he can't do he
like. Watches the crash through his
hands. He like horror movie does it
where he's like. Yeah.
And then even better, he then notices that the Republic ship

(57:33):
is crashing right at his camp that he's made.
So like he's like, oh, no. And like he like slithers over
to some bushes to hide. And I just imagine like he's a
small Hut, but also like he can't be that small where he can
hide behind bushes. His tails probably sticking out.
He's holding. Up like a twig and then like the
rest of his body is like out. So the crip, the crip, the crip

(57:57):
crash. We got those Crips on this
planet. Wild Wild West out here.
The ship crashes, but Churro does want to help them out, so
Churro slithers over with the intent to cut them free.
But he noticed like this weird purple light cuts through the
ship and then takes him a secondto realize that it's a light

(58:17):
Saber. And then I could just see him
like mentally like the wheels going as he realizes like shit
that's a light Saber, shit thoseare Jedi and like shit, we don't
like the Jedi but shit Jedi helppeople so they can't be that
bad. Shit, I'm just going to hide and
play dead. Literally just plops on the
ground. And holds his breath like I
fantastic it's. So good, it's so good.

(58:39):
I want a like image of this. Yeah, I do.
Too when Tep Tep gets out first and she's like you planned it.
She's like poking him. Calls it out.
Yeah, and he's like, what's on his breath?
He's like, Yep, he caught me, it's so good.
So he sees Tep Tep. He already knows the species so
it's a Alsidonian or whatever. So Churro asked if a tep tep is

(59:03):
going to kill him, but tep tep is like of course not.
So she shouts for the others that she found someone playing
dead. They all come to inspect Churro
and Churro then panic that beingout no bird.
So he's trying to like slither away and like accidentally
knocks over Zenni and the process which does not make
Zenni happy. She's already pissed at him

(59:24):
because. The ship shot them down.
And then to get knocked over on top of that.
I'm not a fan and neither is theother RDC person.
I don't think we said the name. So not only a woman named Welga.
So the both of them, both of them are just like we are not
having this Hut situation. They want to arrest them and put
them in whatever the heck it's called the.

(59:46):
Brig. The Brig right away.
The Brig of your. Dead ship I love is just so pure
of heart and can tell he's scared and alone And it is like
I'm going to remedy this right now by introducing everyone by
their name and now we're all friends You Beautiful Angel.
And we do get a picture in this book.

(01:00:09):
All of the middle grade novels have really cool pictures of
them. So curious if yours is going to
be the same as mine because we had a mix up.
A long time. Ago in a Galaxy far, far away
so. Mine seem.
Appropriate. I actually have been working on
Kindle so. It is a beautiful, beautiful
shot of the Beastie. I'm pretty obsessed with it.

(01:00:33):
It's pretty cute. It's like an eel mouth mixed
with a swordfish like. Sail and I can see that dragon
more. Yeah.
You feel me? Yeah.
I thought it was cute. We got a picture of that.
I'm always curious about what scene they're going to select.
I, I love that they're all shocked that he can speak basic

(01:00:54):
and I don't know if we went overthis or not, but he, he knows
several languages, which is so cool.
He can kind of speak. Rhodian struggles with it.
Komorian too. Yeah, Hattis obviously and basic
like yeah. Amazing.
And then that's like a a sense of pride too for the huts like
they only speak Hattis and they require everyone around them to

(01:01:18):
speak hattis as well. So the fact that Churro not only
knows basic but also like we'll speak it is just amazing.
So Cheryl goes and explains his story, how he's been there about
six to seven days. He did connect to an already
existing distress call to then send out his own distress call.
And he says it's just him and the tortals.

(01:01:40):
Like it's like a weird way of saying turtles.
The rider girl. He changed one letter.
I love it so. Much though, it rolls like the
tongue. So funny.
Yeah, yeah. And tip is like Oh my God, the
turtles I love them, I want to go see them.
And I just see Churro and Tep Tep becoming best.

(01:02:01):
Friends absolutely, but Zenny though?
Zenny needs to chill because she's being pretty.
Species is and is talking shit about the huts like over and
over and over again. It's so rude, you know, Churro's
just sitting right there. Child.
Yeah, so the group begins discussing what they should do
next. Zenni is determined that the

(01:02:21):
original distress call must be from her sister.
Mastacaro agrees that they should at least look into the
distress call because weird things are happening on this
planet. I like that, churros.
Like, Nope, I have not seen anybody here.
No one's around. I've been here for days.
And Zenni's just like, no, you just sit here in this little
camp because you're a scaredy cat, chill.
But Massacaro's like, no thanks.I'm not dealing with any of this

(01:02:42):
sass between all of you. We're all headed to the comms so
so pack up your stuff and go Portal Cove.
Unfortunately though, that's when they noticed the Nile ship
heading straight for them. Still around?
Still around, Master Carl yells at everyone to get down, but
everyone does except for Kildo. Kildo is heading back towards

(01:03:04):
Churro's camp, which has the laser cannon, so he sits into
the chair and begins shooting atthe Nile.
Yep, it's pretty good. It's pretty great.
Another child murderer. No, no, no, Kildo's smart.
Because then he shoots at a Spire, and the Spire knocks the
Nile ship into the water. And then Kildo goes, how about

(01:03:25):
it, beasties? So technically he he just set it
up about the Nile could die. OK, OK.
Loophole. So I read that too and I was
like oh children killing these. Are children his Nile is fine.
Oh my gosh, I just love like, this little ending part.
Turbo is super surprised becausethe whole group is insisting he

(01:03:48):
go with them to, like, join them.
And he's so obviously not used to anyone genuinely caring about
him. Yeah.
And so even though he goes kind of back and forth on what he's
supposed to do, he does decide to go with them instead of
waiting for like a Hut risk. So great and they all slither
walk towards the comms tower. However, no one notices the ship

(01:04:10):
that is hiding in the cloud cover above them watching and.
With that, what a perfect ending.
Yeah, such a fantastic ending. So good.
That's all we're going to cover today, but obviously for our
next episode we'll go into some more chapters of this book and
yeah, what do you think so far? You've really enjoyed it.

(01:04:32):
One thing I noticed with Zerida's writing, even with the
short story and tales of light and life is that she packs so
much information. And I remember being like we
got. I need to take like all these
crazy notes because it's like somuch and this.
She really toned it down for thechildren's book.
So I liked seeing that difference between the two as
like something that caught rightaway we've.

(01:04:53):
Also gotten better and not writing down.
We feel you, Zerida. No, I do remember trying very
hard to not write down and at one point I was like, I'm
writing every single word and sentence that is in the short
story. I might as well just read.
The entire thing. But she's such a good writer.

(01:05:14):
That is, she's. Such a good writer.
Want to omit anything? All art.
And it all feels so important and relevant.
But this tells a lot about innermonologues and like how the kids
are feeling and it's super. I love it.
I'm AI. Cannot wait to keep going and
see what happens. Well, with that, thanks so much
everybody for listening or watching.

(01:05:38):
Maybe maybe a little bit of both.
